It was an autumn day in Hope Valley, Minnesota. Elizabeth was at school teaching her beloved third graders. She moved to Minnesota from London when she was 25 years old. She grew up in the high-society life, but she loved every part of living in Minnesota.

On the other side of town, Nathan was at the police station dealing with tons of paperwork. He has lived in Minnesota his whole life and wouldn't trade it for the world.

"Ok class, this wraps up the end of our school day! I will see you all tomorrow for another fun day." Right as she finished, the bell rang and all of the students ran out of the classroom.

She always thought it was so cute and funny how they ran out.

"Rosemary! What a surprise this is!" Elizabeth exclaimed. Rosemary was the school's theater teacher.

Rosemary walked over to Elizabeth's desk where she was standing and gave her a hug.

"Hi Elizabeth. I was thinking, if you are free, we should head over to Starbucks to grab some treats. We haven't had any girl time in a while."

"That sounds lovely! Why don't I gather up all my stuff and I'll meet you in your car?" Elizabeth offered. Rosemary agreed and left Elizabeth to do her stuff.

"Coulter!" Nathan called out. He absolutely despised doing paperwork. He would much rather be in the shop riding around town.

Lee walks into his office and says, "Grant. What can I do for ya?"

Nathan motions for Lee to sit down in the chairs in front of him and says, "Do you know anything more about this thief we have going around town?"

"Uhh, only that this isn't the first time he's had the police search for him. Around 5 years ago, he was doing the same and we were able to catch him, but he escaped and left the state."

"Hmm, okay. Thanks Lee, I'll let you know if I need anything."

Lee got up and said, "Sure thing."

"This has been absolutely wonderful Rosemary! I am so glad that you suggested this." Elizabeth said, taking a sip of her coffee. "Yes, it is wonderful! Have you heard anything from your family in New York lately?" Rosemary asks.

"Umm, no not really. They pretty much all stopped talking to me besides Julie and Viola." Elizabeth looked down into her lap. Rosemary grabbed her hand and said, "Aww, I'm so sorry Elizabeth. If you ever need to talk, I'm here."

"Thanks Rosemary, I really appreciate it."

Around 20 minutes of more talking, they both decided it was time to leave. "Well, I had a fantastic time! You'll be at school tomorrow, right?" Elizabeth asked.

"Of course I'll be there!" Rosemary said.

Right as they stepped out of the door, this guy wearing all black was riding an electric scooter riding towards them. Just as Elizabeth and Rosemary saw him, he crashed into Elizabeth making her fall and snatched her purse.

"Ow!" Elizabeth groaned, laying on the floor. Rosemary ran to see where the man was going, but he was nowhere in sight.

Rosemary kneeled down beside her. "Omg! Are you alright Elizabeth?!"

"I think my leg is broken. It hurts really bad." Elizabeth had tears in her eyes since she was in so much pain. "Oh no. I am going to call Lee and see if he can do anything."

Elizabeth nodded and Rosemary called him. "Lee, we are at the Starbucks on Grand Avenue and a guy ran into Elizabeth knocking her down. Can you come?" Elizabeth looked at Rosemary and she could tell that Elizabeth was hurting.

"He's on his way." Rosemary told her.

Within minutes Lee pulled up in the police car. "Elizabeth! Are you alright?"

"Um, not really. My left leg is in a ton of pain." Rosemary and Lee looked at eachother and Lee said, "Hmm, well why don't I take you to the hospital to get it checked out then you have to come to the station. There has been a thief and I think It might've been him."

Elizabeth agreed and said bye to Rosemary. Rosemary told her that she'd check up on her when she got home. She nodded and got into the car with Lee.
