Not Her Fault

There were times when Taylor wished April had just met the turtles when they contacted her.

when she was lying awake at night, terrified a hulking figure would come silently through the window

when she couldn't shake the fear that maybe one of them would decide three humans knowing about them was too big a risk (she'd been told she and April wouldn't be harmed, but she was still scared)

when she had to move slowly and carefully, and her ribs still twinged anyway

when she remembered the terror she'd felt while being kidnapped

But she never blamed her friend at all. It wasn't April's fault.
