In the prosperous kingdom of Hyrule, a prophecy leads the king to massacre the Gerudo in order to prevent the rise of the demon king. Four months after Midna returns home and destroys the only way back into the twilight, Link now seeks way to return to it. A strange dream sets him on a journey for a last hope, while ancient shadows begin to make their move to swallow the light. Link, Midna, Zelda, and a new ally are pulled into a conflict that spans the ages and could spell the end of everything they hold dear.

When Hyrule's sole heir is kidnapped, Link and Zelda are brought back from the dead to rescue him. But they soon learn that the infant prince plays a critical role in someone else's resurrection. Can they stop an old foe before it's too late, or will they lose both the prince and the peace that they created so many centuries before?

When Link, a young knight in training, hears the Princess' call for help, he rushes out into the night and unto his destiny as the Hero of Legends. A Link to the Past novelization with some liberties to allow for Zelda to have a more active role and to incorporate some elements that hadn't been introduced to the Zelda lore yet back when the game was released.

Amidst the blossoms of a new relationship, Link and Zelda find themselves trying to find a balance between the mounting problems surrounding the Yiga, their personal lives, and the Calamity's 5 year late arrival. Cia keeper of the Triforce has fallen under the influence of a dark power and now wages war on Hyrule in order to possess the soul of the Hero.
