Author's Note: Hello every one, here we are with something new and limited. Please read and review and share your ideas. Right now, I am unsure what kind of Naruto/Supergirl story to write. That is why I am taking inspiration from Aragorn II Elessar who can write incredible short and long stories with great results. Perhaps, from this story, I can gain ideas to write a longer story. I still want to also pursue ideas regarding Naruto/Marvel as well, and maybe other Naruto/DC stories.

I have to give lots of credit to the reviewers who take the time out of their busy lives to review; it all helps. And I have to give credit to Aragorn II Elessar and OmniIBIBUltraInstinctGodzilla for all their help and generosity. Please do check out their stories as they are amazing. Without further ado, let us begin.

Prologue- The Kryptonian Fire Shadow

"Stupid Mon-El, stupid Imra, I cannot believe he is married."

These were the words of National City's protector, one Kara Zor-El, otherwise known by her human name, Kara Danvers. The protector and resident Kryptonian of National City had imagined a completely different life for herself. On Krypton, she was poised to join the Science Guild. Instead, the planet blew up due to its people's mistake and she was entrusted with the task of protecting her cousin, Kal-El.

However, things never go according to plan. She found herself stuck in the Phantom Zone for more than two decades. When she did arrive on Earth, her cousin was all grown up and known as the Earth's Greatest Hero. And she found herself dropped off on another family as if she was a burden.

Growing up on Earth was an adjustment. She had a new family and a sibling. She was also told to hide her own gifts… something that filled her with resentment. However, things never go according to plan. One day, when her sister found herself in danger… she chose to reveal her powers to save her… and thus Supergirl was born.

It was not smooth sailing. She had learned that her sister was part of a clandestine government organization designed to protect the planet from certain aliens. She was also new to the hero business and failed more than once. She was forced to fight against loved ones in the form of her aunt Astra who eventually died. She had succumbed to Red Kryptonite and had almost caused irreparable harm. And when she had found love for the first time, she had lost that as well.

She thought she could have it all; the career, the life, the boyfriend. She had found love with a man named Mon-El, a Daxamite. Kryptonians and Daxamites were sworn enemies, but no one could have ever predicted that these two would become star-crossed lovers. It was so sad that she had to send him away when her bitch ass of a mother had shown up to conquer Earth for pathetic reasons.

She had become colder and only focused on the mission. It had taken time for her to get out of her funk. And now… all she could do was endure and persevere. The man she loved had returned with a wife. And then there was that excursion on Earth-X where she had come face to face with a Nazi version of herself. It was all hurtful and disgusting. And to top it all off, Imra Ardeen was kind, sweet, courageous, and extremely beautiful; no wonder Mon-El fell for her.

It just sucked that her life was so difficult sometimes. She had no idea how she felt about Mon-El or his wife. She had no idea whether she should hate them or be indifferent to them. She could not watch them and mope forever. She had to move on with her life somehow. Maybe, she needed to get back on the horse and find a man of her own to love and cherish… someone normal, someone far away from all of this.

She was shaken out of her musings when she saw Alex approach her and take a seat next to her.

"I know that look, Kara. I have seen it before."

Kara shrugged. "What look is that?"

Alex sighed. "It's the look that I used to have; the kind of look where I wanted to be reckless and burn my life apart. Kara, I know it sucks watching Mon-El with Imra. However, he is a married man. You need to stop worrying about him and focus on yourself."

Kara spoke again. "I am not worried about him. I am jealous over nothing. He and his wife can have a good life together, I don't give a damn. Who is he to me that I need to think about him?"

Alex saw her rounded shoulders and her clenched fists. She placed an arm around her sister and gave her a big hug.

"Time, time is what you need, Kara. With time, it will hurt less. I promise you that because I am speaking from experience."

Kara sighed as she returned the hug. "Maybe, maybe it will hurt less one day."

Alex nodded. "Come on… I think we should get something to eat and maybe watch a marathon of your favorite movies. Its my treat… you can have whatever you want."

Kara smiled. "You are the best, you know that, right?"

Alex smiled as well. "So are you, so are you."

As the two sisters were off… they were stopped by the timely appearance of their father-figure and one of the Earth's resident Martians, J'onn J'onzz, the equal of Superman in battle. There was a serious expression on his face.

"I promise you; I will not take up much of your time. However, I must share my suspicions with someone."

Alex tilted her head. "What are you talking about J'onn?"

J'onn sighed. "I believe Mon-El has not been truthful with any of us."

Kara turned her head. "Please explain your suspicions."

J'onn spoke again. "It is just a gut feeling. However, a woman from Saturn, a 30th-century Supercomputer in a humanoid form named Brainiac, and a highly advanced ship built for battle; something does not make sense. I do not believe that they have nefarious or malicious intentions. However, they are hiding something of grave importance. This is an issue with time travel. If you say the wrong thing… the space-time continuum could fall into chaos. Perhaps… their own existence in this timeline is something they probably did not account for. We must learn more… and we must be cautious in doing so."

Kara and Alex nodded. "You are right. We need to be cautious regarding this. However, we must learn why they are here. However, not tonight. No business tonight. The world will not fall apart in one night. We can think more on this tomorrow. For now, let's go and enjoy ourselves."

Kara nodded. She needed to take her mind off of Mon-El and why he arrived back in the 21st century. A night out with friends or just spending time with her sister was what she needed. "You are right, no business tonight. Just 24 hours before, I almost was dissected by my Nazi doppelganger. We all deserve some rest. J'onn, you are welcome to join us as well."

J'onn smiled as well. "I could use a break as well. I am happy to join you all."

"Great, I will call James and Winn… and we can make it a full house."

Feeling somewhat refreshed and happier, Kara and the gang had arrived at the D.E.O the next day and were surprised to learn that Mon-El and Imra wished to talk to them and share some things.

Mon-El was the first to speak. "We apologize for all the secrecy. It is a long story for why we came here."

Kara shrugged nonchalantly, trying to mask her feelings. "Well, seven years is a long time."

Mon-El nodded. "You know, as strange as it may sound, the 31st century is not all that different to the 21st century."

Winn smiled. "You mean you better smart phones?"

Imra was confused. "What is a Smartphone?"

Winn chuckled softly. "What is a phone? I got to say the future sounds great."

Mon-El spoke again. "The 31st century experienced a quantum leap so to say when it came to technological innovation and advancement. And while technology is still used to entertain and educate… it has also been used to kill. Whether it's 1000 years or 10, 000 years, conflict is constant along with pursuit of strength and power."

Imra was the one who spoke next. "And that is where we come in."

Alex had a question on her mind. "So… you are soldiers?"

Imra nodded. "The governments of the 31st century were overwhelmed. Chaos, bloodshed, and anarchy reigned. It was an utter mess. Mon-El helped to organize us all during those terrible times. With his help… we were able to protect our world and the worlds among the stars. We call ourselves the Legion and we exist because of you."

There was such a kind and gentle smile on Imra's face that Kara was shocked. "Wait a minute… what do you mean you exist because of me?"

Imra smiled gently as Mon-El spoke. "You are my… no, our inspiration. When the Legion was founded, I used you as an example of what we could be, of what we could aspire to be."

"Everything became crystal clear to me when I heard about your life and work, your compassionate fight for justice, and your devotion to protecting the innocent. Your work gave us purpose. I can't express how much it means to meet with you in person."

Kara sighed softly as she looked away for a moment. She just could not hate or dislike Imra Ardeen; the woman was too pure and had a good soul. It was awkward for a moment as Alex, Kara, and Mon-El glanced at one another. Winn, in his good nature, chose to cut the tension wisely.

"So, a Legion of Superheroes, that sounds awesome."

J'onn nodded. "It also sounds well equipped and formidable, ready for battle and war."

Mon-El's expression was grim. "I wish it was enough. There are terrible things that are happening in the future right now."

Imra nodded. "The darkness is spreading and left unchecked… the 31st century itself could be destroyed."

Kara looked at them in alarm. "What exactly does that mean?"

Mon-El sighed. "Our team and I were tracking a disturbance and we were knocked into those disruptions… wormholes you called it. We travelled back in time by accident and we went into cryosleep and we would wake in the 31st century… however, the ship was attacked and that is when I woke up."

Alex nodded. "Is there anything you can tell us about your mission?"

Mon-El and Imra looked at one another. "There is so much we wish to say… but we cannot for the fear of disrupting the time-space continuum. However, we will reveal certain things when the time is right. Is there a way to repair the ship?"

J'onn nodded. "We will do what we can to help you. In the meantime, strap in because you will be here for a while."

Kara cleared her throat. "Um, there is a Christmas party at my home tonight. You both are welcome to join us."

Imra nodded. "I appreciate the invitation. We still have repairs to conclude."

Mon-El nodded gently as he kept his eyes on the ground. Before anything else could be said… an agent had approached them.

"Um, Director… you are going to want to see this."

Needless to say, the sight displayed on the monitor had all of them thinking vastly different things. While Kara and Alex were shocked, surprised, and confused, Mon-El and Imra were deathly calm as their faces were blank. Internally, their emotions were a mess.

J'onn was the first to speak. "When you went to Barry Allen's wedding… you said you encountered a Nazi doppelganger of yourself. You also said that she died. Could it be possible that she survived?"

Alex spoke next. "Kara… do you think it may be her?"

Kara had no idea what to think. Overgirl's heart was damaged beyond repair. The only thing that could fix it was a transplant from another living Kryptonian with the same comparable genetics. With Overgirl's damaged heart, her death would have resulted in a chaotic explosion.

She had watched Overgirl die in space. She did not celebrate and cheer for her death… but she did not care that she died. That woman took part in the murder of her own sister and did terrible things to innocent people, and took pride in her superiority. She got exactly what she deserved. That explosion was so powerful… there was no way anyone could have survived it.

J'onn spoke again. "Do you know when this image was taken?"

The agent nodded. "It has been ten hours since that image was last taken. The woman has not moved an inch"

"We will go there immediately and ascertain the situation for ourselves. And then we will take a decision. For now… we must keep this under wraps. There is no need for the world to know that two Supergirl's exist on this planet.

They had arrived at their destination; the desert which once housed the old D.E.O headquarters. They had come upon a large crater where the sand was charred black and red. It was starting to resemble a warped version of glass. The air was saturated with some kind of ancient power. It felt warm and dangerous at the same time. J'onn felt uncomfortable with what he was sensing. It was a power that was made for war.

After exploring the crater… they found their object of interest. Kara's eyes bulged as she just saw another version of herself lying unconscious in the crater. At first glance… one might think they both looked the same. However, there were vast differences.

While Kara's battle outfit would make one mistake her initially for a more modest cheerleader, the other Kara would only be mistaken for a battle-hardened warrior. This new Kara was clad in a dark blue and red bodysuit with a gold belt. The crest of the House of El was still prominent, however, the colors resembled one of mourning. Apart from that, this new Kara wore a white and red cloak with a triangular-shaped hat. On the back of the cloak, they could make out the symbol of the House of El and a spiral-shaped symbol. The writing on the hat and cloak resembled a type of Japanese writing that they had never seen before. It would take time to decipher what it meant.

Alex was the first one to speak. "Well… I think we can say for sure that she is not a Nazi. Based on some of the writing on her clothes… this Supergirl must come from Japan. With these Multiverse Shenanigans, anything is possible now. Its wild that a version of you ended up in Japan."

J'onn spoke next. "She is different compared to our Kara. Her clothes signify that she is a warrior and a leader of a high rank. I can feel it in the air… she is powerful. She is stronger than our Supergirl. Is she a friend or our foe?"

Kara said nothing in regard to this. She was simply observing her other self and internally concluded that this other version of her was really powerful and stronger than her. Overgirl was able to match her blow for blow… but this new version of herself was stronger. She had no idea if she could win a fight against her if things went south.

She looked around and saw Mon-El and Imra staring blankly at this new version of her, their expressions calm and professional. She narrowed her eyes. Something was not right at all. There was a reason why Mon-El came back here. She needed to know why.

"Do you know who she is?"

Mon-El spoke. "I have never seen her before in my life."

Imra said nothing as she simply stared at the sky… her expression resembling worry. Mon-El stared at his wife as he realized their existence in the 21st century had changed things. The appearance of the Kryptonian Fire Shadow was something that they could never have expected. Whether this was a good thing or a bad thing remained to be seen. They needed to fix their ship and get the hell out of the 21st century before further changes occurred.

J'onn was the one who spoke next. "We will have to take her back to headquarters and restrain her. Perhaps… keep her under a Red Sun Lamp."

Everyone looked at him in shock. Imra was the one who spoke next. "Forgive me… I would never tell you how to conduct your duties. However, is this necessary? This woman looks heavily injured. Restraining her might not be a good idea when she wakes up."

J'onn nodded grimly. "Believe me… I do not like this course of action either. However, she is an unknown quantity. We cannot take any risks."

Kara spoke next. "I do not like this either. I remember this scenario. This will be temporary until we know more. I promise she will not be harmed. I will deal with anyone who does try to harm her."

Mon-El and Imra simply stared at one another. This was going to be a disaster. They had no idea who they wanted to restrain. They chose to keep their mouths shut to protect the integrity of space and time. Mon-El had no idea he would be back in the 21st century. He had lived for 7 years in the 31st century and only seven months had passed in the 21st century. He chose to move on to protect his heart and find love again. It was an arranged marriage… but he grew to love the woman from Saturn as she loved him.

Seeing Kara again reminded him of the good old days and better times. Now, his life was consumed by war, duty, sacrifice, and the long gongs of battle. However, he was married and he had no claim on Kara Danvers any longer. There was no time to reminisce and think about the good old days. The Darkness was coming. And it would take a monumental effort to defeat it.

Perhaps, the key would lie within their new visitor, the Kryptonian Fire Shadow.

Chapter End

That is the chapter everyone. Please read and review generously. I hope you all enjoy it. I apologize for the shorter chapter, but I just wanted to get the idea out there. Please share your ideas and thoughts. I have had this idea in mind for over a year.

It will be a short story, nothing too long, I hope. Much credit to Aragorn and Omni for inspiration and help. Now, this new Kara Zor-El is a Kryptonian who crash-landed in Konoha after Krypton's destruction. After time had passed… she became its current Hokage and the Elemental Nation's most powerful living thing alive. She is powerful and mightier than Earth-38's Kara Zor El due to Chakra melding with her Kryptonian genetics, creating an unbelievable and unfathomable powerset.

The Kara Zor-El from Konoha has crazy strength and power and has a few hax abilities of her own. The full powerset is still a work in progress. I need ideas as to how to name her to differentiate her from the Kara of Earth-38.

Now, as for whether or not we will see Naruto in this story, not. I have left his fate a secret for now… and this new Kara Zor-El has incredible rage of her own that she is trying to deal with. It will be interesting to see the second chapter… as we will see the Kryptonian Fire Shadow in action. We will also see Reign in this story along with the other Worldkillers who have gained interesting abilities due to a God Tree. Things are about to get exciting.

I feel confident about this short story. I hope you all review and put your support behind it. Please read and review generously. Stay safe and well wishes. See you all in the next update.
