Rage
Such a foreign feeling for head captain Yamamoto, yes, very foreign. But he sat here now with a jigokucho in his finger watching the very message from squad three's captain. Not only was her lieutenant a traitor, but there was a possibility of another traitor that could prove a threat to the soul society.
'Hmmmm, if she is in fact not dead. Then it must not be known to the others of her living.' Yamamoto thought, the rest of her explanation flashed through his mind. He frowned as he felt relief and should have known there would be mayhem in the soul society, even after being so peaceful for so long. He grimaced as the image of a tall man flashed in his mind, and he was reminded that peace really doesn't last forever.
…..
Renji was reeling, he couldn't grasp the fact that she was dead. His sister, the one who'd been able to defeat three Menos Grande, the one who seemed to defy death itself, she was gone?
No
No
He refused to believe it and couldn't accept it. Whether it be from not wanting to realize she was in fact dead, or because of the guilt that not even when she was lying at death's door all those times, not once was he ever there to greet her when she woke. Renji grit his teeth as every moment spent with her raced through his mind, and something had his breath stilling in his breath. Why…. Why were there so few moments with his sister? Why…. was it only Rukia?
Renji fell to his knees as he stared ahead, a look of devastation etched on his face, only one thought ran through his mind. It absolutely shattered him, and for once he looked back, but there was no Ririka there smiling up at him ready to be beside him. It hurt so much, and he knew that he only had himself to blame, because he knew she was only trying to show him and Rukia that she was strong. He had been so focused on keeping Rukia with them, that at some point he had forgotten the one person that was there to help him through every hardship.
'Dammit…. I'm so sorry Ririka… damn…it..' Renji grit his teeth as his sorrows and regrets slid down his face.

Rukia was upset…. How could Ririka die, something just didn't add up. Ririka was known as the strongest captain in the 13 court guard squads, there was no way she was killed by a menos grande. Right?
Rukia was a member of the esteemed Kuchiki clan; she would not show emotion. All for the sake of the seireitei, Ririka had an honorable death protecting her team to the end. Death comes to all… Right?
'Hey I know! Let's all become soul reapers!'
Rukia grit her teeth as she roughly rubbed her face, she would not cry in the presence of a substitute soul reaper. He already saw her weak, she would not let him see her cry, no matter how much the liquid sorrow fell from her face stubbornly. She had been so focused on proving herself to Byakuya that she forgot about the two people that had always been there for her, and now…. One of them was gone.
That night Rukia dreamt of her childhood days with Renji and Ririka. She cried throughout her sleep as Ririka was alive in her dream, and that made her feel just a little bit better.
'I'm so sorry Ririka…. Please forgive me.'

Unohana had almost lost hope when she heard of Ririka's death, well she almost did until a jigokucho fluttered over to her. Her eyes widened slightly when she heard the message, not specifically because of that, she was more surprised that WHO sent the message. It sent a rush of sadistic relief rushing through her veins, not because she actually cared if Ririka died, oh no. She was happy to know that the only other person to actually give her a very good fight had not died.
The others around Unohana backed away fearfully as their captain's spiritual pressure pressed down on them ominously. When she started to laugh they quickly excused themselves from the barracks, nobody wanted to be there for when she got like that. Even if the head captain forbade her from fighting, they did not want to take any chances with the sadistic woman.
'When I get my bankai Captain Unohana, then we'll see which of us is stronger.'
Oh, how happy Unohana was, even though she knew who the victor would be it still sent an excited chill through her body. She had only felt this way with Zaraki, but the man held back too much, and she NEEDED to fight someone who wouldn't hold back against her. Ooooo, she hoped that her sadistic tactics didn't rub off on the young girl, and if they did, well….
Then she felt bad for whoever interested Ririka N… Abarai.

Mayuri Kurotsuchi was not an idiot, in fact he was the furthest thing from it. He already knew who the traitors were, and he was aware that the true captain of squad three was still alive. Not to say he wasn't impressed, actually it was the furthest thing from. That girl interested him in such a dangerous way, she was such a fine research subject, with a power that she obviously hadn't tapped into. That had him licking his lips excitedly to research her more thoroughly, considering the girl never objected the last few times he had.
There were a couple times that he was just a tad bit weary of the girl, from the small samples she had let him take from her, there was a foreign network of nerves in the sample. It was a powerful substance that sent off a shock through his scalpel, and almost short circuited his lab from the levels of electricity that reverberated from the sample.
Oh, he just couldn't wait to study the girl more thoroughly when she came back, and he had the perfect material that could now withstand her foreign abilities.
He almost felt bad for whoever did end up on the receiving end of her power.

A chill went up Ririka's spine as she ate her takoyaki, she felt a sense of foreboding fall over her senses. So, Head captain and Unohana got her message, good. She was just the slightest bit apprehensive about Unohana knowing she got her bankai, there was only a short time before she paid her a visit in this world.
"Matsumoto, can I have a round of Dango please?" She asked, a small smirk made its way to her face. That would be a fight to witness, and she only hoped that it would only be the two of them. SInce, there would be no battlefield left when the two of them fought.
"Teach me how to heal Captain Unohana!"
"How do I know you're even worth the time teaching?"
After that specific fight, the head captain removed Ririka from squad four. Although, part of it was his fault for allowing the two of them to fight, since having another great healer would benefit the soul society. The two of them were lectured for three hours, of course they were too satisfied to really care about being in trouble.
"I look forward to fighting you when you get your bankai captain Ririka."
"I can't wait either captain Unohana, I hope you can wait until then."
Ririka never understood why Unohana had taught her how to heal, considering she died over thirty times at the hands of Unohana during their battle. She was aware all those moments of blackness were her dying. She would never compare any type of relief to when she'd regain life and unohana would be there waiting for her, instead of letting her die, and for that she would be grateful to the woman.

Ochaco Uraraka had never seen herself as a strong person, she always thought she'd spend her days in the shadows of other people. That was the case, until Ririka appeared, maybe in the most unexpected ways but she changed so many things. Ririka changed the way Ochaco thought, the way she viewed herself and gave her the will to want to try harder.
Ochaco had never thought in her 14 years of life that she would be taught how to wield something dormant inside her. But when given a deeper explanation, she felt as if her entire world had been flipped upside down. Reiatsu, was all around them constantly buzzing around people, and it was the main reason people were suddenly born with abilities. But it gave her hope that she would be able to grow stronger and not be in the shadows.
She remembered not too long after she started learning Bakudo, she had this feeling. It was such a beautiful feeling, that she had someone there beside her, helping her. It surprised her but it didn't scare her, it was as if she had known the presence her entire life. But everytime she tried to recall the presence, her mind came up blank, and every time she slept all she could see was a valley of sakura and plum trees and a figure stood all the way at the end. Bathed in light, but no matter how hard she tried to get closer she never could, and she just couldn't see the person.

"Ririka~ Oh sweet Ririka~" A deep rumble of a voice sounded as red orange eyes opened behind rusty metal bars. A large hand reached forward, and the figure screamed in pain as a blot of blue energy crackled around the figure, forcing it away from the metal bars.
"I will get out of here! When I do. Ahaha HAHAHAHA!" The figure laughed menacingly as it banged against the metal bars, uncaring of the energy that crackled to life around him.
