Onward to Firespit Island
"Okay, everyone; where do you think those bandits took Growlithe?" asked Irida.
"Well, Coin said something about their camp being in a place so miserably hot." said Lincoln.
"That must be Firespit Island." said Palina, turning toward the ocean and looks at an island that appeared to have a skinny volcano in the middle of it.
"Ah, yes." Lisa replied. "A volcanic island would be at an extremely unbearable high temperature."
"We have to get Growlithe back." said Lana.
"But how do we get to Firespit Island?" asked Lola.
"Basculegion would be able to take some of you there." said Palina.
"So, who's going to ride it?" asked Luna.
"I will." said Lucy from beside Luna, scaring her.
"And Basculegion is big enough for more than one sibling, so I can ride with her." said Lola.
"I will also." said Lisa. "I am curious about the Pokemon located on the island."
"And those of us who have water Pokemon can ride over there on them." said Luan.
"Which of us have Pokemon capable of aquatic travel?" asked Lisa.
"Bibawel!" said Lily, holding up her Bibarel's pokeball.
"I'll ride on Sealeo." said Lori.
"I'll ride on Samurott." said Leni.
"I'll ride with you, sis." said Luna.
"I'll ride on my Gastrodon." said Lana.
"Are you going to ride on your Floatzel, Lincoln?" asked Lynn. Lincoln turned towards his Pokemon.
"I would, but I don't want to leave my other Pokemon behind; it would feel like I'm abandoning them." said Lincoln, making Irida look at with with adoration. "And to bring them with me to Firespit Island, I would have to return them to their pokeballs; I don't want to do that." He suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around his shoulders; he looks to see Irida, hugging him, and she begins nuzzling his cheek, making him blush.
"You are the kindest person I have ever met, Lincoln." said Irida. She turned Lincoln's face towards hers and she kisses him on the lips, making his face turn beet red; his sister giggled, and Palina smirks. A loud scream was heard from Firespit Island.
"All right; let's get Growlithe back." Lana says to Lori, Leni, Luna, Lucy, Lola, Lisa, and Lily, making them nod in response.
"Let's go." said Lori as she tosses her Sealeo's pokeball, and releases her. Leni tosses Samurott's pokeball and releases her, while Lana releases her Gastrodon, and Lily releases her Bibarel. Lucy walks to Basculegion and climbs onto it while Leni, Lana, and Lily climb onto their Pokemon.
"You hold onto Bibarel tight, Lily, so you don't fall into the water." said Lincoln.
"Okay, Wincoln." said Lily. Soon, she, Lori, Leni, Luna, Lana, Lisa, Lola, and Lucy rode out onto the ocean and towards Firespit Island.
"Man, those Miss Fortune Bandits are lucky I don't have a water Pokemon, otherwise, they would have to deal with me." said Lynn. She suddenly sees a light blue, fishlike Pokemon swimming by. "Hey; what's that Pokemon?"
"That Pokemon is known as a Remoraid." said Professor Laventon. Lynn looks at the Pokemon and pulls out a pokeball.
"I guess I could use a new Pokemon." said Lynn. She tosses her pokeball, releasing her Decidueye. "Okay, Decidueye, use Leaf Blade!" Deicidueye flies at Remoraid while the tip of one of his wing arms glowed green and he slashes Remoraid with it, dealing super effective damage. The Remoraid forms a blue ball of water in front of its mouth and it launches it at Decidueye, hitting him, but not dealing much damage.
"That looked like Water Pulse; good thing Decidueye's resistant to water type moves." said Professor Laventon. Decidueye begins flying around dizzily. "But it looks like Water Pulse has made Decidueye confused."
"Decidueye, Magical Leaf!" said Lynn. Unfortunately, confusion gets the better of Decidueye and he ends up hurting himself. Remoraid fires a beam of electricity from its mouth and it hits Decidueye, but not dealing much damage. "Try Magical Leaf again!" This time, Decidueye fights through his confusion and releases glowing green leaves from his body and they hit Remoraid, dealing super effective damage; Remoraid floats on the water, exhausted.
"I think it's weak enough, Lynn." said Lincoln. Lynn takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Remoraid, hitting it, and sucking it in; it floats near the shore while shaking until a firework shoots up from it. Lynn reaches out and picks up the pokeball from the water.
"Yes! Remoraid is mine." said Lynn.
"Well done, Lynn." said Professor Laventon. "Your Remoraid appeared to be male, and the ones around here should know Bubble, Acid Spray, Charge Beam, and Water Pulse."
"Nice." said Lynn. She looks at her new Remoraid's pokeball. "Remoraid may be too small to ride on, but hopefully he'll evolve into something big."
"He will." said Professor Laventon.
Meanwhile, Lincoln was exploring an area of the Cobalt Coastlands known as Tranquility Cove with Irida when he notices a small, cream-colored Pokemon with a ring of triangle-shaped protrusions around its head, with a white egglike body with red and blue markings on it, along with small arms and feet coming out of it.
"What a cute little Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"That's a Togepi." said Irida. She and Lincoln notice that the Pokemon, now known as a Togepi was standing near a tree that had banana-shaped, pink-tipped, berries growing from it; they also see that the Togepi was trying to jump up and grab some.
"It must be hungry." said Lincoln as he starts to walk over to where the Togepi was.
"What are you doing, Lincoln?" asked Irida.
"I'm gonna help it." said Lincoln. "I can't just look away from a Pokemon that's hungry and unable to get food." Irida looks at Lincoln with admiration.
Lincoln soon reaches the Togepi, getting its attention; he then reaches up to the berry tree and grabs a large handful of the fruit growing from it.
"Here you go." said Lincoln as he holds the berries out to the egg Pokemon; it looks at the fruit, then at the smile on Lincoln's face as he nods before Togepi smiles itself and starts eating with enthusiasm; Lincoln gives the Togepi a couple more handfuls of berries before the Pokemon was satisfied.
"That was so nice of you, Lincoln." said Irida as she wraps her arms around Lincoln's torso from behind and holds him tight to her body, making him blush.
"It felt like the right thing to do." said Lincoln. He and Irida turn to leave when Lincoln felt something grab his leg, making him look down to see Togepi hugging his leg.
"I think it likes you." said Irida. "I understand that feeling."
"Wanna come along with me?" asked Lincoln. Togepi nods before Lincoln takes an empty pokeball out of his satchel and sets it on the ground in front of the Pokemon; Togepi touches the object, making it suck the Pokemon in and wiggles a few times before a firework shoots out of it.
"And you didn't even have to battle it." said Irida with a smile.
"Ralts was the same way when I caught him." said Lincoln. "And I couldn't bring myself to hurt a Pokemon that's so cute." He then tosses Togepi's pokeball, releasing it.
"What do you think it's like?" asked Irida.
"I'll ask Professor Laventon." said Lincoln as he turns towards the beach where everyone who wasn't heading for Firespit Island was and starts walking in that direction with Irida while holding Togepi in his arms.
Back on the ocean; Lori, Leni, Luna, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, and Lily were nearing Firespit Island. As they got close, Lola looks at the water and sees a small, blue, manta ray-like Pokemon.
"That Pokemon looks cute." said Lola.
"I believe it's called a Mantyke." said Lisa.
"I'm catching it." said Lola.
"Just make it quick." said Lana.
"Fine." said Lola. "I'm just gonna throw a pokeball at it and hope for the best." She takes an empty pokeball out of her satchel and throws it at the Mantyke, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles once before the Pokemon breaks free.
"Hurry and try again before it gets away!" said Lana. Lola quickly takes out another empty pokeball and throws it at the Mantyke, hitting it, and sucking it in again; the pokeball wiggles once and this time, a firework shoots out from it.
"Yes!" said Lola.
"Too bad you wasted the first pokeball." said Lana.
"We got plenty of them, and we can always make more." said Lola.
"You're Mantyke is a girl, she knows Tackle, Bubble, Aerial Ace, Water Pulse, Air Slash, and Roost." said Lisa.
"Let's just get to Firespit Island before those Miss Fortune Bandits do something to Growlithe." said Lana.
"Too bad Lincoln didn't come along." said Lola. "He could've easily distracted Clover just by being there."
"How do you think she'll react when she doesn't see Lincoln with us?" asked Luna.
"And that we left him with Irida?" asked Lola with a big grin.
"We'll see when we find those three." said Luna.
The Loud sisters are on their way to rescue Growlithe from the Miss Fortune Sisters. What awaits them on Firespit Island as their work with the Galaxy Team Survey Corps continues?
