Godzilla was attempting to enjoy a nap he earned from having fended off the various monsters yet the adventurers were still attempting to annoy him so he gave them a good blast of his atomic breath and went right back to snoozing about since it was too much for him to even stay awake. "...This is the kind of thing that justifies me going on a rampage... can't even get a much needed wink in." Of course he was buggered again by a new batch of adventurers that he ended up toasting as well with his nuclear pulse, but he realized that this was going to keep occurring every several hours so he sighed and proceeded to leave to find himself a spot where he wouldn't be pestered.
