Adrien snuggled deeper under his covers, dreaming. No, he wasn't dreaming of Sugar Plums, but the dream was very sweet.
However, the dream was broken when Felix came bounding in, bouncing on his cousin's bed. "Wake up! Wake up!" Adrien sat up, sleepily, rubbing his eyes. "Felix?" "It snowed!" he crowed happily and Adrien was instantly wide awake.
It had been a tradition since they were small, that one would wake the other on the first snowfall, and fifteen years later, here they were.
The boys dashed over to the window, pressing noses to the cold glass. "Just look at all that fluffy stuff," Adrien sighed happily. "Perfect for snowman and snowballs. Ooh, cold nose!"
He backed away from the window. "That's it! Let's build a snowman and invite the girls!"
Adrien and Felix dressed quickly, and after Aunt's pancakes, it was time to play in the snow!
"It looks like powdered sugar!" Marinette said, once the girls were over and she tipped her head back, catching snowflakes on her tongue. "I love drawing snowflakes," Kagami said. "For no snowflake is exactly alike." "Yeah," Adrien paused where he had starting to roll a snowball for a snowman, "Felix and I look like twins but were different."
"Cute as buttons!" Marinette giggled, and shrieked as an impromptu snowball fight begin, cousins vs. girls.
After, they made a snowman, and finally wet and cold, they trudged in for hot cocoa. "I love winter," Adrien grinned, holding Marinette's hand. "Full of winter fun and cozy things to do. But what I like most about it is spending time with you." He leaned over to kiss Marinette's cheek.
This winter season would one to remember, and the winter season had only just begin.
