Adrien laid in the wrapping paper, gazing up at the Christmas tree. It had been a good Christmas, filled with love and laughter, but in this moment it was nice to have a quiet think.

A soundtrack of hissing and popping from the fireplace accompanied his thoughts, with good smells coming from the kitchen.

He was so happy to spend every day with his best friend by his side, his Marinette. Adrien could remember from Christmas pasts wishing to have a family Christmas and being alone.

This morning, Marinette's parents had made pancakes and Mama Cheng told Christmas stories of long ago. It was almost worth wearing the dreaded bow-tie that Cat wore every year beneath his gold bell.

As much as Adrien loved presents, he didn't need anything but love. Though he was excited to watch a Charlie Brown Christmas later on.

The one dark spot was Marinette seemed tired and quiet, and Adrien couldn't figure out why.

"Your hot chocolate," Marinette handed Adrien a steaming mug and sat down beside him. "You okay?" Adrien asked. "Yeah, I actually have one more Christmas surprise for you. Give your hand here."

Adrien did as he was told, and Marinette gently placed it on her stomach. "We have a Christmas miracle coming," her face glowed in the light of the fire.

"You mean…" Adrien's face soon echoed Marinette's joy. "Your having a baby? Our baby?" "Emile,"Marinette confirmed. "Though will call her Emma."

"Come close so I can kiss you," Adrien whispered.

This completed his perfect Christmas, a daughter he had always dreamed of. Merry Christmas to all the world.
