After writing the letter, she sent it off with her pet hawk. She walked over to her bed after closing the window and climbed. She put on her facial mask and rested on her bed to sleep.
The next day, she woke up to the sun shining through her window. She got out of bed and started getting dressed for the day. She changed into her green and baby pink Hanfu dress and went to her vanity. She sat down in front of the mirror as she opened her jewelry case. She took out her silver hair combs and started doing her hair. Meanwhile, Draco was in the common room reading. He was reading a book on Asian culture since he and his mother traveled there for the summer before the school year started. He also wanted to be able to communicate better with Anastasia. As he was reading, he heard footsteps on the stairs. He saw Anastasia come downstairs with a silver wrap around her shoulders and a fan in her hand.
"Good Morning, Ana," Draco said.
"Morning," Ana said. "I'm going out for a walk."She said.
"Mind if I come along?" He asked. She nodded.
He got up and walked over to her. He led them to the courtyard and then out onto the grounds. Harry and his friends talked at Hagrid's hut while hanging out in the pumpkin patch.
"I still don't see why you spoke up for him during the trials, Harry," Cho said.
"Because I don't think he was a death eater by choice," Harry said.
Hermione thought about it and looked at Harry.
"You think he might have been forced to become one?" Hermione asked.
"Yes. I think he was." Harry said.
Neville noticed a couple walking off in the distance as they were all talking. He took out a pair of binoculars and looked through them. He could see Malfoy walking with Anastasia on his arm. Draco was dressed in a green T-shirt and black jeans.
"Harry?" Neville said to get their attention. "Isn't that Malfoy over there?" he asked, pointing them out.
Harry and the others turned around to see them walking together. Malfoy was talking to Anastasia, holding a blu and white parasol over their heads. She suddenly let go of his arm and ran ahead of him. He made the parasol disappear and ran after her. She looked back over her shoulder to see him catching up to her. He caught up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He conjured up a blanket for them and they sat down. Anastasia made a low table appear in the middle of them and made a white and blue porcelain teapot appear.
"Do you want some tea?" Anastasia asked.
"Sure," Draco said.
She picked up the teapot and poured a cup of tea for him. Draco picked up his cup and started drinking from it as he let his mind wander. He worried about his mother back home by herself and worried a little. Anastasia looked at him and could tell that something was puzzling him.
"Is something bothering you Draco?" Anastasia asked.
"I'm just a little worried about my mother," Draco said.
She took a red sack from her sleeve and put it on the table. Then, she went into the sack and took out two round boxes.
"What are these?" He asked.
"Just some pastries from home." She said.
She opened the first box to reveal some pink flower-shaped pastries, and the second box to reveal round white pastries. She picked up a pink pastry and tore it in half. She held out one half to him, and he looked at her. He leaned forward and bit off the pastry in her hand.
"This is good," Draco said. What kind of pastry is this?" he asked.
"It's called a Cherry Blossom Cake," Anastasia said.
She conjured up a small pillow for him and put it in her lap. She patted the pillow as she beckoned him over with her finger. He crawled over to her and laid his head in her lap. She started stroking his hair and telling him a story that her grandfather told her long ago. He grabbed another pastry as he listened to the story. As she was talking, they heard a hawk's cry. She pointed her finger toward the ground and a branch came sprouting out. The branch stopped growing when it got close to her shoulder. Not even a minute later a white, red, and brown hawk landed on the branch with a letter attached to its leg.
"Hey. Li Shen." She said. "Do you have something for me?"
Li Shen held out his leg and she took the note from her parents.
"Is he yours?" Draco asked.
"Yes. My father gave hi to me." She said.
After reading her parents' letter, she put it away and finished the story she was telling Draco. About an hour later, they started heading back to the castle. Pansy and her friends were talking in the courtyard when Millicent saw Draco walk into the courtyard with Anastasia.
"Pansy? Isn't that Draco?" Millicent asked.
"What are you talking about?" Pansy asked.
Millicent pointed them out to her and she saw Draco walking with her under her parasol. She had a hairpin with a large white Peony on it in her hair. There were a few strands of pearls hanging from the Peony. She watched as Draco led her over to a slightly overgrown tree. He turned to her and put his hands on her waist. She put her hands on his shoulders as he picked her up and set her down on a low branch.
"What is he doing with her?" Pansy asked.
Draco picked a small white flower and pulled out his wand. He tranfigured the flower into a ring made of silver vines and the flower was made of sapphires.
"What's this for?" Anastasia asked.
"it's for you," Draco said.
"Really?" She asked.
"Yes," he said. "For now, you can think of it as a friendship gift. "
Draco picked up her right hand and put the ring on her index finger. He kissed her hand making her blush red.
"Thank you." She said.
"You're welcome." He said.
She wrapped her arms around his neck to thank him for his gift.
