A/N: Feeling conflicted for writing this but it was a plot bunny after thinking about Drag names and how Saint Eve turns into " " as a nod to "It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" joke. Adam doesn't officially meet Lucifer in Eden and there will be two Eves.

Singing Voices:

I know that Adam has Alex Brightman but because he shares that singing voice with Fizz from Helluva boss, I instead imagine Adam with Josh Ramsay's voice (Lead singer from Marianas Trench). Beside You by Marianas Trench being his song. And Good To You being his duet song with his Eve. (Marianas Trench songs honestly gives me College AU vibes)

As for the women: Lilith is Lady Gaga, Second Eve is Christina Aguilera and First Eve is Leona Lewis and the male version is what you'll find on youtube.

In the garden of Eden, Adam had named all of the animals just as Sera had advised him to do while she and the other seraphims dealt with the whole 'Lilith abandoning Eden' situation.

Adam honestly didn't understand what he did wrong. He was just trying to have a good time gardening since y'know, it was what was expected of them in return for being brought to literal existence. Lilith once understood that as well, but then one day, she began criticizing everything about Eden. It had Adam all kinds of confused, especially when she would talk about how Eden could be improved when she literally only lived for as long as he had.

Not being able to catch up, Adam tried to persuade her that Eden was absolutely perfect the way it was. However, this only led to Lilith becoming fed up with him and out of nowhere declared that he was trying to control her when they were supposed to be equals! Adam became fed up with her attitude as well, and yelled back that at least he was doing his job while she would disappear half the time doing who-knows-what!

Sera came down and interrupted their argument, reminding them of their place. They were husband and wife. They needed to get along and make Eden their home, so they could prove that they were ready to create new life of their own. Adam didn't want to get along with Lilith, but who was he to disobey a messenger of his creator. He apologized and Lilith did the same. He thought things were going to be normal again, but then Lilith disappeared from Eden that night.

A part of Adam was happy that she was gone, but now that he was only surrounded by the animal kingdom where no one looked like him or sounded like him, he couldn't help feeling alone.

"Adam."

"SERA!" Adam leaped over to her! "So how did it go?! Were you able to get Lilith to come back?!"

Sera had arrived with a frown but Adam was too eager for good news to notice. It made it more difficult for the angel to admit that she had failed, but it was her duty. "Adam…Lilith will not be coming back. We had tried to reason with her, but it came to our attention that she was a flawed creation."

"What?"

Sera held his shoulders and firmly put, "A mistake, Adam. She was…a mistake."

"Okay…So what happened to her?"

"She has been permanently banished from Eden and will be left to wander the rest of the world."

"There's more beyond this garden?"

The seraphim warmly replied, "Nothing worth seeing, Adam. Everything you need to fill your soul with sustenance is in this very garden while Lilith will have none of that out there." She broke out into a lullaby that praised the beauty and perfection of Eden and why Adam should never look beyond the walls.

Adam became sleepy, yet the idea of sleeping alone terrified him. He shook his head awake, and asked, "So since Lilith is gone, will I have another companion?"

"Of course! But it will take time to build a companion for you that is worthy of Eden as its first woman."

"Oh…Uhm," Adam knew better than to question further, so he thought of a different question, "Can I…have a…someone like me?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, not like me-me. I mean…someone like me and Lilith, but not as a companion. I mean like as in something…less than a companion."

Sera was puzzled since Adam had animals to rule dominion over. Of course he was expected to respect and care for them, but they were considered 'lesser' than a companion. "To do what, may I ask?"

"Just talk and help around the garden. I mean Lilith and I were meant to make more people, but with this person, we don't have to do that. Just talk and help around the garden. That's all." Adam gave her his best smile with apologetic eyes for his audacity.

"I see. I suppose you could have a helper until we figure out where we went wrong with Lilith."

"Yeah! That's it! A helper! That's what I need!"

"And do you have an idea on how you would like this helper to look like?" Sera figured that it would help Adam quickly adapt to this new helper and cope with the loss of Lilith.

Adam froze at such a question. He had only ever been naming and caring for what had already been created. He never thought that he would be given such an opportunity to create for himself! He didn't want to screw it up, but where should he begin?

"Uuuuh, well, they have to be like me."

"Alright." Sera made Adam glow and duplicated him, but his duplicate had no soul, so it was only a standing doll at the moment.

"WHOA!"

"Anything else?"

"Yes! Okay! Uhm," Well, this person had to be lesser, so it wouldn't be right for them to look eye to eye just as he and Lilith had done. "Can you make him shorter, like about my shoulder? And skinnier, too! Also no facial hair!" Sera made it happen. The duplicate still had some muscle since he was to work, but was on the slimmer side.

Adam nodded approvingly at his creation, but looking at their reflection in the pool of water beside them, they still looked too similar which didn't go well with their 'non-equal' theme. He looked at the animals around him, and spotted a little one nearby. He went over and picked it up. "Out of all these animals, I always thought these bunnies were one of your best creations. How about we give him their eyes and their nose."

Sera found this to be more of a challenge that she came up to the duplicate and smoothened his angular face into a rounder oval to capture the cuteness of the bunny. She rearranged the bone structure of the eye socket to give his dark brown eyes more roundness and lift up the outer corners. As for the nose, she pressed on the bridge to make it straighter and snubbed. Adam was approving of the changes, but thought he could look cuter if his lips were more plump. Sera filled the bottom lip and gave the upper lip a bit more curve.

NOW his duplicate looked barely anything like him, yet he wasn't satisfied. He figured this was the ONLY time he would ever be given the opportunity to create something, so now that they were done with the body structure, what about color!

He thought the bunny's colors were bland, so he let it go and looked around again. His eyes caught the fox and so he pointed at it, "That fox's fur coat is such a beautiful shade of orange that it reminds me of the sunsets. It would be amazing if you could give my helper's hair that same shade of orange and let it cascade down his body in waves like the clouds." Sera did as she was told, and let the hair grow down to his knees. "And while we're talking about sunsets, I really love how they make the mountains glow. It's so warm and brown upon its body that I would love it on my new helper. Ooh! Ooh! And as for my last suggestion, it comes from what I see from the top of those mountains which is the green, brown and blue of this garden. I love the view so much but it's always a hassle climbing the mountains, so it would be great if those colors were in his eyes!"

Sera did as requested, and had to admit that she was impressed by Adam's imagination. "Do you have a name for him?"

Adam thought about it and said, "I was talking a lot about sunsets which are in the evening, so his name shall be Eve!"

"Eve? That sounds like a perfect name for your new helper. Adam," She lifted her hand to assemble a ball of light, and let it be absorbed into the doll. "Welcome our new resident of Eden: Eve."

Eve's eyes first closed as basic knowledge of language and common sense filled his brain. He then opened his eyes that came with self-awareness and they landed upon Adam.

Adam immediately towered over the 5'5 man, taking his hands in his and yelling, "HI! MY NAME IS ADAM! AND YOU'RE EVE! AND YOU WILL BE MY NEW HELPER TODAY!"

"Adam, he just came to life. Give him a moment to adjust."

"Right! Sorry! Sorry! I'm just super excited to have a new compa- I mean helper! So Eve, let me give you a guide around our home Eden and all the things we have to do to maintain it! It's gonna be a blast! I promise!"

Adam pulled out his lute and began singing about the animal kingdom and all about gardening while swinging through trees, sliding down hillsides, diving from waterfalls and then just cozying on a bed made of feathers while stargazing.

"So what do you think of Eden? Pretty amazing huh."

Eve giggled and finally spoke with a sweet light voice, "Hi. My name is Eve and I would love a guide of our new home. You played your epic lute, and now I think our home is more than amazing."

"Great! I knew you'd love it! And you have a nice voice!"

"You, too. So for our duties, I don't think I like shoveling manure. How about I do all the digging for our planting and you can take care of that part?"

"I'm down for that! Oh! Oh! I have a better one! I don't like having to comb the animals when it's shedding season because they get everywhere and it's a pain to get it off! So how about I do all the manure shoveling and you have to deal with all the animals for the shedding season!"

"Would that be fair? Shoveling manure is a daily thing while the shedding season happens only once a year."

"Good point. Wow, you're really smart."

"I hope so. I have a lot to catch up on since I was just born today. So how about this? You shovel the manure, and I prepare our meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will need energy to do all of that hard work."

"Hmmm. I'm used to cooking for myself, so it'd be interesting to try someone else's cooking for once. Deal."

"Deal."

"..."

"Eve."

"Hm?"

"I'm happy that you're here."

"I'm happy you're here, too."

Adam smiled, feeling a new sense of validation for his existence that didn't only come from working on the garden. He wondered if Eve felt it, too. However, the other man just came into existence, so he didn't know about concepts like sadness or anger that would spring from a sense of loneliness. He really wanted Eve to feel this happiness, too.

And so for many of their days, Adam worked hard to make Eve feel appreciated just as Eve made him feel appreciated. He complimented his partner on his cooking, his gardening skills and his work on shedding season, and Eve would compliment him back for all of his hard work.

Although there were times he got out of hand.

"Adam! You have your own bowl of berries! Stop trying to pick out of mine!" Eve scooted away from Adam, and tried to keep him a leg's length away at the stone table!

"But your own taste even better!"

"They're literally from the same bushes! You're just being a tease!"

"But anything of yours is always better! Can you blame me?" Adam was a foot taller, yet he had the habit of making himself adorably small by laying himself as low as Eve's waist and looking up with that adorable grin.

Eve chortled and petted the older man. "Yours is just as good. Maybe you should start appreciating yourself, too."

"Me appreciate myself? How do I do that?"

Eve looked down at him as if he had made a joke, "Oh, c'mon. Did you take all my compliments back as lies?"

Adam jumped, "No! Not at all! I just…I guess I think those compliments are only good for the time it happens. Wait, do you still feel happy with all the compliments I gave you before?"

Eve furrowed his brows at him. "Yes? And I do not mean I still think of myself as a fantastic berry picker, or a great fur shredder or all those other titles you give me. What I hold onto is that you're happy I'm here. You don't think I'm still happy you're here, too?"

Adam took a moment to process his words. It took a while for him to make the connection that Eve didn't feel validated by his work but by how Adam clearly felt about him in general for just existing, and somehow that made Eve carry that feeling of being appreciated constantly. Not through a higher existence but through him. And Eve did it so naturally.

He wasn't sure how to feel about it that he sort of rambled, "I guess I never thought of it that way. When I take care of the animals and they go to sleep, then that's the end of it for the day, and I don't think much about it until the next morning. And when Lilith was here, she didn't like being here at all, and Sera only comes down here to check on how well I'm maintaining the place, and she praises me, too, but that means I've remained consistent. I can't afford to let her down when she's the reason the Big Guy upstairs keeps me from being blown out of existence or kicked out of Eden."

"Adam." Eve cupped his face. "You'll always be more than enough." The sound of a harp played as Eve sang about how on his first day alive, he was greeted by Adam who was desperate for affection, so their first meeting was not perfect like the wolves who find their soulmates. Yet Eve had never doubted his genuine heart that was further proven by Lilith's existence. Where she could become bitter and unsatisfied by the material world, Adam sought for something greater within that Eve felt blessed to provide and receive.

Adam sang about how he felt that the praise and love he received was conditional by his predesigned duty and not on the man he've grown to be, yet with Eve, he discovered what it felt to be seen and appreciated for it.

Eve sang, "I was made for you, and you were meant for me."

Adam stopped the singing at the moment to softly correct, "No, no, it's true I wanted you made, but things could've turned out just like it did with Lilith. If you had wanted to leave or divide Eden because you're unsatisfied with me, I won't stop you. But if you truly want to be with me, then maybe it could mean that you were meant for me. Eve," He sighed and got his head in the game. He sang, "Because I am meant for you."

Eve didn't hesitate and sang from deep in his chest and the top of his head, "I AM MEANT FOR YOOOOOOOOU!"

Adam sang with him, "AND YOU WERE MEANT FOR MEEEEEE!"

The two sang in duet that they were fated to be together…as friends? They didn't clarify, but they were happy and that was what mattered.

A few hundred years passed by and the two "friends" continued enjoying their chores - mixing it up every now and then. They created games with the animals, discovered how to make juice, and created costumes and more tools to make Eden more adventurous for them. Yet they hid them from Sera, fearing that she would judge them poorly for going beyond their predesigned duties. But also because they found a thrill in it only being known between the two of them and the animals.

They also made sure not to leave kiss marks on their bodies after discovering what their lips could do. It was honestly an innocent experiment between them since they were the only ones of their kind. They have put their fingers and tongues in places they probably shouldn't have, but because of how good it could feel despite the pain it came with, they simply couldn't stop.

That was until Sera made a visit to inform Adam that they were almost done creating a new companion for him. "It took quite some time, but we were finally able to create the blueprint for your new better wife. We are already in the process of creating her so in a few months, you will finally have your new equal."

Adam was speechless. He knew this day would come, but now faced with the reality of it, he didn't want a third person to take up his time away from Eve, "…A new wife. Wow."

This time Sera was too excited to notice Adam's reluctance and the way he gave a nervous look towards a hesitant Eve. She explained, "Yes. We made Lilith as beautiful as the sky during the day while you the terrain. But this new wife will be as perfect as the starry night instead."

Adam furrowed his brows but clamped his mouth shut. He let Sera gloat about how perfect this new wife would be, and flinched when she began explaining how Adam was to impregnate her. Having experienced that intimacy with Eve, Adam was covered in goosebumps at the mere thought of someone else touching him like that.

Once Sera was gone, Adam finally allowed himself to feel his rage. He knew it was wrong to feel this way, but he couldn't stand the control placed on him. He wondered if this was what Lilith felt before she was banished. It made Adam realize how ignorant he was in comparison.

His rage melted when Eve held his hand. Yet defeatedly his dearest friend sang, "I am meant for you."

Adam gently sang, "I am meant for you."

They sang in unison, "And you were meant for meeeee. But only as friends…only as friends…"

The next few weeks dragged on miserably. Both of them quietly despise the soon new addition to their paradise. Yet eventually the miserable feeling was washed over when the two helped a cow deliver its young. They told each other about how wonderful it would be to have children run around Eden, somewhat picturing multiple mini-versions of themselves that they began painting them on their stone table.

They made smaller bowls and baskets and even smaller costumes- laughing at the sizes they created for each infant animal since they had no idea whether Adam's new companion could give birth like a cow or a cat.

They told themselves and each other that they were excited now, but when Adam would wrap his arm around Eve at night, and Eve would press his back against Adam's chest to let the taller man breathe in the scent of flowers from his hair, the anger of the new companion reignited.

Eventually, they spoke of their desires.

"Adam." Eve called out to him while the two snuggled under a fig tree.

"Hm?"

"You're supposed to create a new life that looks like us in the foreseeable future, right? Like the other animals around us?" The questions were obvious, but Eve wanted to start out innocent so their conversation wouldn't become pessimistic or brash.

"Yeah."

"Then wouldn't it be great if you did that with me?"

Adam hesitated to answer at first but decided being truthful was the more important virtue. "Crazy thing is, I thought about Sera creating an equal for you, too, so that way we can both have kids. But when I dream of it, I don't dream of our children being friends. I only see myself taking care of your children. I envision the most beautiful children of your flesh who I'll teach to climb the highest trees, hold their breaths in the depths of the lake, and run across the horizons with the antelopes. That way when they come home to you, they know that you are far better in comparison. The world could never defeat what it feels to be in your arms and hear your voice."

Eve blushed by his sweet words, taking a whiff of his earthy scent. "Must they only be my children? I may be a man now, but my gender was determined by your lack of foresight. Not by the blessings of the One above. Turn me into a woman, and to my belly will I breathe strongly, feed them aplenty and tell the children inside of such promises you give, so once they arrive, they will look upon you as I do. A man of so much worth."

Adam's eyes that were already gazing warmly upon Eve somehow made that warmth seep deeper into the smaller man's skin through just a smile.

Adam promised, "Our children will learn from the both of us of a life worth living."

Eve agreed, "Our children."

And so the next day, Adam called upon Sera by calling for her name in the sky, and the seraphim came down from a ray of light. "Is there a problem, Adam? It's not like you to call me so soon after our last meeting."

"Yes. The truth is…" Adam could feel his lungs trying to clamp shut, but his desire for Eve kept them open, and he spoke deep from his chest, "I don't want a new wife."

The silence was heavy. Sera's smiling face had widened and froze for too long that it put the fear of the Above into Adam's and Eve's hearts. Yet they held hands and when they looked into each others' eyes, they found the courage to make their plea.

They got on their knees and Adam explained, "I wish for Eve to become my new wife. I know he is not a woman, but that was due to my lack of foresight. Now, he…she has come to the decision to transition into a woman so she may become my wife and take on the role of creating new life with me. I beg of you, if you could ask the One above …" Adam stopped when Sera's smile contorted into a face of horror and disgust. "Sera?"

"...Adam…What are you saying? Did you eat the fruit of forbidden knowledge? Why would you request such a thing?"

"What? No. I-"

"Then was it you?" Sera shot a glare at Eve, making the smaller man tremble, but Adam stood up and shielded him.

He tried to reason, "Sera, please listen."

Yet Sera wasn't willing to do it with him, "Did I make a mistake again when I created him? Adam, he's supposed to be just a helper. Your lesser- no different than the other animals under your control."

Adam raised his voice, "That may have been the idea at first, but it's different now! It was strange to begin with! Eve is a human, too, so doesn't that make her my equal?!"

"You're the first man, Adam! Created in God's image! Eve was created to be a pet!"

Eve finally raised her voice, "I am not a pet!" She got up on her feet and stood beside Adam. "You may have labeled me as such, but I was made by Adam's side!"

"You-"

"I am not done speaking!" Eve's legs did turn cold, but her chest was hot. Adam continued to share that heat. "You may have changed my appearance, but that's only on the outside! Within my soul and through my actions, I have equally carried my load to be considered Adam's equal!"

Sera took on her full form, and her immense presence forced the humans back onto their knees. "YOU ARE A MISTAKE! I SHOULD HAVE YOU WIPED OUT OF EXISTENCE FOR DARING TO CHANGE THE PLANS OF GOD!" Sera returned back to her humanoid angelic form, "However, it is my mistake for not conversing with God about creating you in the first place. I should have known being temporarily given the ability to bring creations to life during Their absence was too great a responsibility. I apologize Eve, but despite what you and Adam may think, you are led astray by being the only two humans in existence in Eden. Once I bring the new wife, you will both realize your mistake. As compensation, perhaps I could create a partner for Eve as well."

Adam had thought of that solution earlier, but he looked at Eve first. Eve was disheartened. She balled her hands into fists and tried to agree, but she wanted to have children with Adam. Not with someone else.

Through tears, she replied, "I don't need a partner."

Sera sighed, "Then…when you do know what you want, then tell me. I will grant anything except for this." She gracefully flew back into the sky through a ray of light.

Adam wiped Eve's tears away and whispered, "I don't want one either. Eve…they can make a new man, just like how they're replacing Lilith. Let's leave Eden together."

Eve silently gasped at his audacity and whispered back, "You shouldn't defy the plans of God. It wasn't our intention in the first place."

"No, it wasn't. But from what Sera said earlier, Eden is under her jurisdiction. Not God who appears to be absent."

"But Sera is working through the Will of God. If we defy her, we still defy God."

"But think about what she said. She called Lilith a mistake. She called you a mistake when you are far from it. If she is the Will of God, would there be this many mistakes? Lilith somehow knew that something was wrong with this place, and I am just now starting to see it, too."

"Are you saying…that perhaps the true Mission was to always leave Eden? That if a place such as this can create mistakes, then it's not truly a paradise?"

"Yeah. Wow, you worded it way better than I could."

Eve giggled, feeling her nerves from earlier slowly shake off.

Adam determined, "There is a place beyond Eden, and it is difficult to believe that such a place also created by God could be inhabitable. Perhaps we may see the evil that the tree of knowledge has talked about."

"Then do you think we should have a bite from the tree before we leave?"

"It would make us prepared, but it's the one rule of God that we should never break. I may defy Sera, but I will never defy a rule God explicitly placed before They became absent. We will have to learn evil another way, and hopefully survive what is in the beyond."

"There may be no vegetation and the hunger we feel before a meal may become more painful. We may live a whole life of pain filled with rage and resentment if we were to leave. We may even come to hate each other."

"I think it's a risk worth taking. I would rather suffer hating you as an equal than to be forced to look down on you as a pet."

"I truly do hate that word. Alright. We'll pack as much as we can so we may have full bellies for at least a week if the world beyond Eden doesn't destroy it all at once the moment we step out. We should also bring our costumes so we may cover our skin from what could be from the extremes we feel here."

Eve couldn't actually imagine what those extremes could be. However, she knew that eating too many berries can cause a tummy ache, and one had to be careful exploring paradise so as to not hurt themselves. There was also the fact that they had to sacrifice the grass-eating animals for the meat-eating animals once a day. It wouldn't be a stretch to think there were hungry animals out there who could eat them.

Yet as terrifying as it was, she couldn't help becoming curious, especially when she watched Adam pack with such a handsome serious expression.

When Eden was covered in darkness, Eve and Adam expertly crossed through the fields blindly until they reached the wall that kept the beyond outside. It was a gigantic stone wall, so they were able to grab hold with their finger and toe tips and if they came to a deadend, they had their stone knives to pierce in between the stones. The first tied a rope to each other in the event one slipped or trailed behind. They also made sure to climb the shortest wall, so it took only a few hours to reach the top before sunrise. Yet they waited for the sun since they didn't want to enter the new world blindly.

Once they saw it peeking through the edge of their world, they took out their extra rope, hammered a nail on the side of the wall, and both carefully set down their gear to the ground. They then climbed down the other half of the rope. Eve went first since she was lighter and would jump a little at a time as she climbed down so it was quicker. Adam went next, doing the same thing, and Eve was relieved when he reached her.

They looked around, seeing nothing but sand.

"So there is no vegetation." Eve scoured the land and felt her hair move, "But there is wind, and the wind is always stronger when we go near water."

Adam nodded, "Then we'll go this way." He hauled up his portion on his shoulders, placing them just right to even out the weight.

Eve wrapped their stuff onto her body and the two walked for hours through the scorching heat, feeling water drip from their skin for the first time. They took a lick and tasted the saltiness. It was so odd that they began questioning if Adam had been made out of salt instead of dust.

When dusk came, they created a tent and ate only a little bit before resting their sore legs. When the sun peeked through the edge again, they ate breakfast before setting off. A few more hours passed before they came across a river surrounded by vegetation and animals.

They were shocked to find it so soon, having thought that they would have to face unbearable pain before finding such a thing. They drank from the water, amazed that it tasted no different than what they tasted in Eden. They also saw fish nearby, and carefully they caught a few to eat with what they had packed.

As they ate, they noticed a wolf staring at them. Adam threw a fish to it, and after taking a bite of the fish, the wolf came over where he was also given a fig to eat.

Eve commented, "The animals here are friendly, too, but because there are no humans to take care of them, I wonder if they kill the animals themselves and pray to God as they do."

Adam replied, "The only way they would know of that is if an angel has taught them. If that is the case, then perhaps there are angels around here…I don't think it's a good idea for us to stay for long. We don't know whether these angels will hear us out or they will take us back to Sera. I don't want to take that chance."

Eve agreed but considered, "Do you think we could ever find an angel who could take on our cause? Someone who could look upon me and not see a mistake?"

"Don't take Sera's words to heart."

"I try not to, but she is my creator."

"Because I asked her, too. But Eve, it doesn't matter who's hands created you. That's all on the surface. You molded your own soul in ways I never imagined and clearly not Sera either. You did it so naturally like the rest of the world around us." He looked down at the fruits in his hands. "It was like how a fig tree doesn't produce the same fruit so you can't really tell how sweet or sour it'll taste unless you take a bite."

Eve giggled at his analogy. "A fig am I? Then when it's my turn to become the tree- if I get the chance to bear your children, will it be the same? Could we handle such randomness now that we're out here?"

"I don't know, but I'm willing to learn. We came out here to learn what is good and evil for ourselves, and I think raising our children will be the same."

Eve took a deep breath, trying to ease the nausea and then laughed a little as she teared up, "Look at me being silly. I don't truly believe I will be graced with the opportunity to bear your children, but I'm becoming frightened at the idea of taking care of our children out here."

Adam pulled her into his arms, bringing her close to his chest and said, "Can you feel my heartbeat? It's beating so fast because I'm scared, too. But I'm also excited."

Eve had her hand travel across his lap and discovered his excitement. She arranged herself on his lap and gave him a sweet kiss. She then placed her forehead against his, feeling her anxiety melt away at the feel of his breathing against her skin. They hugged for a few minutes, letting the wind blow by, the sound of the river failing to drown out the sounds of the birds, and the sun rays wrapping them in warmth.

After an intimate session, they bathed in the river and caught a few more fish before traveling along its path, hoping to find more vegetation on the way. When it was nearing dusk, they had dinner. To their surprise, the same wolf had followed them.

Eve asked, "Do you think it's lost?"

Adam replied, "It might be. The wolves usually travel in packs, so after I gave it food, it may think we're a pack now."

"You don't think it's an angel in disguise, do you? You told me before that Lilith had been speaking with a white snake before."

Adam observed the wolf, and shook his head, "No. The snake didn't act like a normal snake which was why I had my suspicions. I don't understand the animals here, but I have a good feeling about this one. Besides, it's better to have someone who knows the dangers of this place with us."

Eve was hesitant but she trusted Adam, "Okay."

Adam waved his hand to the wolf, and it came over to them. Adam petted the wolf and asked what its name was, but unlike the other animals in Eden, this one didn't understand their language by how it cocked its head to the side confused. "Yeah that makes sense. Let me try this. Adam." He pointed at himself and let the wolf take a sniff of him. He then pointed at his companion, "Eve."

Eve was a bit frightened but she steeled her nerves and let the wolf take a whiff of her. When the wolf flicked its tongue on her hand, she stopped breathing, yet it did not bite. She relaxed, yet felt the fullness of her bladder that she excused herself for a moment.

Adam thought for a moment, and then said, "How about I give you the name canine? Adam. Canine."

"Canine? It sounds like a powerful name for our new friend."

"It does right! Do you like it, Canine?"

"Ruff!" Canine's tail wagged strongly with its tongue out.

"Great! Let's have dinner, Canine!"

The two gave most of the fish to their new friend and ate most of the fruits and vegetables they had. Afterwards, the two had Canine sleep next to Eve so if any danger did come, she would be protected first.

Unknown to them, an angel watched over them with a fond smile.

"Uriel."

The fond smile and the angel turned around to see her older brother Michael.

Michael spoke, "Uriel, you were supposed to guard Eden's walls. Why have you let the humans escape?"

Uriel defended, "There was no rule that they could not leave Eden."

"Yet you failed to report about this to Sera who is currently acting in Father's stead."

"What is there to report? I do not report on everything they do. No rules have been broken and they are free to return to Eden when they like."

Michael held back a sigh. He shouldn't be surprised that the wisest of their siblings could defend their actions. He took a moment to take a wiser approach to their conversation, "Then I'd like a report on why you are helping them leave Eden. Haven't we had enough trouble after the stunt Samael pulled with the First woman?"

"Only if you promise not to use my words against me in the future."

"Does it defy justice?"

"Not at all, but it's quite petty."

"Lessens the dramatics in the future. I understand. Now tell me."

"I think Sera is taking Father's words too literally."

Uriel didn't need to pause, yet Michael clearly needed it to process her words. When he caught up, he ordered, "Explain."

"While Father is away pursuing different projects, Sera was tasked to make sure that our First man and First woman was prepared to continue the human race. But after the stunt that Samael pulled on the First woman, you'd think that someone entrusted with a task from our Father would be flexible, but Sera is not flexible at all. Instead, she became more mission bound to recreate a better version of a story under her control."

"Now what makes you say that."

"It shouldn't take several hundred years to recreate a Second woman. We can blame Samael for corrupting Lilith, but the true issue was that Adam and Lilith were simply not compatible. You may ask Camael about it. He informed our Father about his reservations for his first creations when he saw them, and Father praised Camael for catching on yet to trust the process."

"Father always did like to be vague."

"Vagueness is the only way to make sure we use our power of belief that we have free will. Yet, it also brings about anxiety for those who lack confidence. Sera is the latter. Look at that." Uriel pointed at the couple. "Sera perfectly created a companion who is willing to carry out our Father's will with our First Man, and it took less than a day. Yet because she did not put her entire brain into creating Eve, she believes that she had ruined the task that Father had given her."

Michael looked upon the couple, and did not see what Uriel saw, yet trusted his sister's opinion. "Have you tried to talk to Sera about this?"

"I may be an archangel, but I am the youngest of us. My word means little in comparison to yours, the Eldest and Father's favorite."

Michael frowned at the title, having enough work on his hands but this was a very important project for their Father, so he took it upon himself to speak with Sera. "Then I will take my leave."

"One last thing before you leave. If you do succeed in convincing her to let Adam keep Eve as his Second woman, then please make sure she tries not to give him a Third woman to still try to convince Adam that her version is better. Camael will tell you that love is expansive, but only so few can truly be loved in a particular way. It could sow discord within Eden since Adam can only see Eve as his wife."

"I think you've spent too long observing these humans."

"Which only makes me the most qualified to speak on their behalf."

Curiosity grew in Michael, but he needed to return to his duty and so flew back to Heaven.

Uriel looked back to the couple and wasn't sure if her plan could work, but it wasn't like an angel to not have faith in the plan at hand. She left it to Canine to watch over them while she returned to Eden to take care of the animals there.

A/N: There you go! I don't plan on actually making this a full blown story since I'm not that well versed with the bible. The archangels will refer to their Father as such, but They don't have a gender. I also combined the angels Uriel and Ariel into one angel since Uriel tends to sometimes be called Ariel so she's both the angel of Nature and Wisdom!

Eve was created to heavily contrast Adam in appearance hence why she has the rare red hair, warm brown skin, hazel eyes and her body is more of a twink/petite. I tried to find a celebrity who would be close in description, but after scrolling through pinterest, I discovered bcasais who has the face that I was envisioning. So like with her face with long island orange curls and hazel eyes.

She still has the body of a man and is technically a transwoman, but is at the moment apagender (apathetic to gender identities). She just wants to have those babies and if it means switching genders, she doesn't care. She never met Lilith, so she doesn't know what a woman really is honestly.
