Chapter 2: A New Beginning Part II

The sun rises once more on a cloudy Monday morning in Queens, New York as Peter Parker finally starts to wake up from sleeping for the past 36 hours after getting bitten by the radioactive super spider at Oscorp. Peter groggily picks up his phone to look at the time and spots a bunch of missed calls from Gwen.

"Ughhh only 6:48 AM… ITS MONDAY?! How did I sleep through all of Sunday? Man, I can't be late for school," Peter says to himself in bewilderment.

Peter rushes to his bathroom door to yank it open to get ready for school, but instead accidentally rips the doorknob off the door much to Peter's surprise. Peter just stares at the golden colored doorknob in his hand with his jaw gaping open in shock and awe of what just happened.

"Ummm… okayyy."

Peter sets the doorknob down on his desk as his bathroom door starts to creak open from the force that Peter unintentionally pulled on the door with. Stepping into his bathroom to take a shower Peter suddenly remembers the spider that bit him almost two days ago now, at Oscorp.

"So, the bite from the radioactive super spider gave me the proportionate strength of a spider? I remember reading a few weeks ago that spiders can lift up to 343 times their own weight. I mean, if ionizing radiation from the super spider leaked into my own blood stream from the super spider bite that would have edited the codons in my own DNA strand and changed my own DNA on a molecular level throughout my body. But the chances of the radiation having that affect on my body rather than me getting sick with radiation poisoning are very slim… but I'm still alive so that must be what happened," Peter thinks to himself while he's in the shower.

After Peter gets out of the shower, he looks in the mirror and realizes that he's no longer a slim nerd with no muscle on his body. He has a lean muscular figure with abs to go along with it, much to Peter's surprise.

"A spider bite gave me abs? Cool," Peter says out loud while looking at himself in his mirror.

Peter proceeds to get his clothes on, while getting ready for school noticing a blur through his glasses as he puts them on. Peter compares his vision with and without his glasses a couple of more time before realizing tat he can see exponentially better without his glasses on.

"Huh. So, the spider bite fixed my eyesight too? This is amazing!" Peter says.

"Peter, are you alright up there, dear?" May asks from downstairs.

"Wha—Ah yeah Aunt May I'm fine don't worry," Peter yells back downstairs.

Peter races throughout his house moving at impossibly fast speeds as he makes sure he has everything ready for the start of his school week at Midtown High School as his thoughts shift to Gwen once again.

"I hope Gwen isn't mad that I slept through all her calls, but man I feel so much better today than I did on Saturday after that stupid spider bite," Peter says in his thoughts.

Peter makes his way downstairs like a bull in a china shop knocking over a chair in the kitchen when his Aunt May stops Peter in his tracks. May along with Ben has a stern look on her face with their arms folded across their chests.

"Peter Parker! You can't go running around like a headless chicken in this house. I won't allow it. Now pick up that chair you knocked over and you best be on your way to school," May starts.

"Sorry Aunt May, guess I'm just a little excited for school today," Peter explains.

Peter displays an apologetic look on his face towards his aunt as he slowly bends down to the floor to pick up the chair from the kitchen that he hastily knocked over. Picking up the chair, Peter looks over and spots his uncle smiling at Peter, with a small chuckle escaping his mouth as Peter sets the chair down and pushes the chair into the kitchen table. Peter playfully rolls his eyes at his uncle for teasing him as he turns to head out the door and walk to school before his Uncle Ben stops him.

"Hey kiddo, hold up there a minute. I have to work a double shift tonight, so I need you to pick up May from F.E.A.S.T. tonight and accompany her through the subway and the streets while walking her home tonight. Can you pick her up at 6:00 tonight?" Uncle Ben asks.

Just a few steps shy of the front door, Peter turns back around with a slight smile on his face as he looks at his aunt and uncle who are keenly staring at Peter, waiting for him to respond. With a small creak on the wooden floor beneath him as Peter takes a few steps towards his guardians and answers their request.

"Yeah, no problem Uncle Ben. I'll pick up Aunt May tonight at F.E.A.S.T." Peter responds.

"Thanks Pete, I'll see you later tonight at 7:00," Ben smiles.

Peter, thinking about his newfound powers that he has stumbled upon is curious about what to do with these new powers. Whenever Peter has needed help or advice with anything in life, Ben Parker has always been the man that Peter has gone to.

"Uncle Ben, I-I have a question", Peter said with some curiosity and hesitation.

"Yeah, what's up Pete?" Ben said.

"Well say I have these gifts; or these hidden talents and I don't know what to do with them or how to use them in the world. What do you think I should do with them? Should I use these talents or gifts for good or great things in life?" Peter asks.

"Peter, you have a great heart and soul. Your mind is beyond anything I've ever seen before. You're meant for more than just popularity and fame. Use your gifts, your smarts for the right reasons, not for personal gain. Be yourself and use your talents responsibly. Remember Peter, with great power there must also come great responsibility," Uncle Ben answers.

"Thanks Uncle Ben, I love you," Peter says as he closes the door behind him and heads off to school.

Outside his house, Peter walks down the steps to the sidewalk and starts walking along the sidewalk reminiscing over what his uncle just told him.

"Great power comes great responsibility. The hell does that even mean?" Peter grumbles.

Peter takes a few more steps down the sidewalk towards school when he starts to feel this low humming vibration emanating from the base of his skull and spreading throughout his body. A couple more steps later the humming intensifies even greater as every cell in Peter's body is telling, urging him with desperation to move slightly to the right. Confused with this new, strange feeling Peter ignores the humming which is practically screaming at him now as he turns around and sees someone running right at him at full speed.

"Gwen? Wha—Oof!" Peter grunts as Gwen runs into Peter and tackles him to the ground.

"Huh, it's like my body was trying to warn me of Gwen coming to tackle me before I even saw her. Like another sense in addition to my five senses after the spider bite… A spider sense," Peter thinks.

Peter and Gwen manage to both fall onto the grass beside the sidewalk as Gwen has yet to let go of Peter after tackling him. Peter looks at Gwen's face just inches away from his own, she has the biggest smile on her face. Peter can't think of another time where Gwen has ever looked happier.

"Peter! You're awake! I was so worried about you," Gwen smiles.

"Oh yeah, well… I kinda passed out right once I got home on Saturday and didn't wake up until about 45 minutes ago, but I'm feeling so much better now. Sorry, I didn't call or text," Peter apologizes with an apprehensive face.

Gwen just smiles at Peter, finally getting up off the grass, standing up, and putting her hand down to help Peter up as well. As Gwen helps Peter, she realizes that for the first time since she's known him, he's not wearing any glasses.

"Pete. Y-You're not wearing your glasses," Gwen stutters.

"Oh, yeah. I finally put contacts in, so my glasses would stop breaking from Flash and his cronies. Do I look bad without the glasses?" Peter lies.

Gwen looks across at Peter with her eyes full of sincerity as a million different thoughts start running through her head, thinking about what to say to Peter. Without his glasses, Gwen finds herself even more into Peter, which she didn't even think was possible considering how much she already liked her best friend.

"Peter, no. You look great, you could never look bad," Gwen blushes.

Peter finds himself looking down at his now grass stained jeans before adjusting his gaze back to his best friend, blushing at Gwen's comments as the two friends begin walking towards school to begin their 2nd week of the school year.

It's 10:13 AM and in the middle of 4th period at Midtown High as Peter notices his pencil sticking to his hand. Peter tries and does his best to forcibly remove the pencil from his hand, but with no luck.

"C'mon you damn thing why are you sticking to me, just let go," Peter angrily thinks to himself.

"Uhhh Senor Garcia can I be excused to the restroom for a moment," Peter asks.

"Hable en Espanol," Senor Garcia demands, indicating for Peter to speak in Spanish.

"Puedo ir al bano?" Peter asks in Spanish.

"Very well Mr. Parker just please come back to class soon," Luis Garcia says.

"Yes sir," Peter says as he leaves the classroom with the pencil still stuck to his hand.

(In the bathroom)

"Come on you stupid pencil just come off!" Peter is starting to get frustrated.

"Okay wait let's apply Occam's razor. The simplest solution is the most probable one. If I calm down and relax the pencil will fall from my hand and onto the ground," Peter says to himself.

Peter, satisfied with the result of the pencil finally dropping to the ground decides to head into the school gym to see what other powers he could possibly have, since there's not supposed to be anyone else in the gym right now.

(In the gym)

"Okay well I know that spiders as a species have more flexibility and agility than most other species do on the planet, so maybe my body is a lot more agile now," Peter is curious.

To Peter's surprise when he jumps across the basketball court, he jumps further than he's ever been able to jump before. As time passes, Peter tries to do all sorts of hand gestures with his hands and legs to make web come out of somewhere, but it doesn't.

"Hmmm. Guess webs didn't come with these incredible powers. I can probably make my own, if need be," Peter tells himself.

Next Peter tries to do a back flip and a front flip.

"Whoa! I've never been able to do that before. This is awesome. This is amazing! Okay so no webbing but my agility is off the charts compared to before the spider bite," Peter is excited about his new powers.

Unknown to Peter, Flash Thompson silently lurks into the gym. Seeing Peter, he goes and picks up a basketball and aims for Peter Parker's head. Just then Peter gets that tingling sensation at the base of his skull again. Every cell in Peter's body tells him to duck from something coming from behind him. Peter instinctually ducks and the basketball goes over Peter's head, smashing the fire alarm and setting it off.

"Well, better go with the rest of the school and go outside so I don't get in any trouble. Hopefully, I don't get in any trouble with Mr. Garcia," Peter says in his thoughts.

School ends for the day at Midtown High School at 3:00 PM. Peter is at his school locker putting textbooks and binders in his backpack to take home with him for the day, while going over the thought of creating a type of webbing to go along with his new powers.

"The chemistry lab is probably going to have what I'd need to create webbing in the first place. I can stay a little late after school, not that I have anything to do later tonight," Peter thinks to himself forgetting the fact that he has to pick his Aunt May up from F.E.A.S.T. at 6 PM.

A high-pitched feminine voice fills the air right behind Peter, interrupting his thoughts and causing him to flinch just a little, while some giggles can be heard from behind Peter.

"Hey Petey-O! What's shakin'?" the feminine voice asks.

Continuing to get his things from his locker and into his backpack, Peter just shakes his head and smiles. Peter knows exactly who that feminine voice belongs to. Liz Allen, one of Gwen's good friends and a friend that Peter had gotten closer to over the summer while Gwen was in England visiting her family.

"Hey Liz. What's going on?" Peter asks, turning around to look at Liz and MJ who's standing right next to Liz.

"I dunno Tiger, why don't you tell us?" MJ chimes in.

"Wha-Wuh-What do you mean?" Peter stammers.

A smile starts to form on Mary Jane's face, while Liz just rolls her eyes at Peter's awkward response. On the other hand, Peter, his eyes widening in fear, is completely flustered by the forwardness of MJ and Liz and is completely confused with the whole situation.

"Peter Parker, you're unbelievable! We're talking about Gwen. Do you like her? Is there something going on between you two?" Liz says confidently.

Peter nervously looks skyward at the pale ceiling panels that line themselves throughout Midtown High School. Of everything his two friends could have asked him, this was the absolute last thing on Peter's mind. Bringing his eyes back to front and center, Peter finds that both Liz and MJ are staring at Peter with an intense and serious look in their eyes. Peter scrambles through the back of his mind as to whether he likes Gwen or not. Gwen has been on his mind an awful lot lately.

"I-I don't know. Maybe. Gwen's my best friend," Peter stumbles through his words.

"Hmmm. Food for thought, Pete. See ya tomorrow?" Liz asks.

"Yeah, of course!"

With a couple of smirks, Liz and MJ both leave Peter to drift off to where Gwen is getting stuff from her locker as she prepares to head home for the day. Gwen is putting a textbook in her backpack when out of the corner of her eye she spots MJ giggling like a small child, while Liz on the other hand has the biggest grin imaginable on her face.

"Liz, MJ. What's going on? Why are you two smiling and laughing like idiots?" Gwen asks, confused at the whole situation.

"We just planted the seed for you Gwen, enjoy" Liz smirks before walking off with MJ on their way from school, Gwen makes her way over to Peter, still confused.

"Hey Pete. Everything okay?" Gwen asks, trying to get an understanding of the situation.

"Oh Gwen, you're a sight for sore eyes. Yeah, I'm okay. Just a weird conversation," Peter admits.

Gwen's light blonde hair drops down to her shoulders as she nervously tucks her hair behind her ears as her piercing blue eyes stare right back at Peter's chocolate colored hair and the nervous smile he's sporting right now.

"How was the conversation with MJ and Liz weird?" Gwen asks.

"Well, for starters they asked me if I liked you. Like it was completely out of the blue and just caught me off guard," Peter answers.

Fearing what Peter's answer might be, Gwen decides to bite her tongue and change the topic of conversation to something much, much easier to talk about. At least for Gwen it would be easier to talk about.

"So, you have any ideas of what he could do for our AP Physics project together?"

"Ummm… actually yeah. After the Oscorp visit when we saw the genetically modified super spiders, I thought maybe it would be feasible to create some sort of super spider web or webline that could hold an exceptional amount of weight due to the high tensile strength in spider silk. But I was thinking of creating the spider web synthetically of course," Peter says.

As Peter continues to talk about ideas for his AP Physics project with her, Gwen's eyes widen with awe and intently listens to the man she has a crush on as Peter continues explaining his idea for the project. About 10 minutes later, Peter finally stops talking ad he noticed Gwen being eerily silent as he's been talking nonstop for the past little while.

"We don't have to do my idea if you think it's bad, Gwen. I'm sure your idea will blow mine out of the water anyways," Peter smiles.

"No, Peter. Your idea is fantastic, and we should have all the materials in the chem lab to create the synthetic webbing as well," Gwen counters.

Gwen smiles back at Peter, before the two friends eventually head towards the chemistry lab to work on their AP Physics project together, even with Peter having the ulterior motive of using the webbing to further go along with his new powers that have been manifesting lately.

The door to the chemistry lab shuts behind Peter and Gwen as the two friends start to think about how they will begin to make the spider webbing. The two friends spend a few moments in silence before Gwen begins to speak aloud to Peter with her thoughts.

"Okay, Pete. So regular spider silk is composed of glycine, which gives the spider silk its elasticity and alanine, which gives the spider silk its strength. What we need to do is figure out how to make a spider's webbing stronger," Gwen states to Peter as they are brainstorming together in the chemistry lab.

"Right. We need something that'll increase the hydrogen bonding in the spider silk without compromising the integrity of the elasticity of the spider silk. We need something that can both accept and donate hydrogen bonds, while maintaining chemical equilibrium," Peter says out loud.

"Exactly, Pete. So, something like a strong base dissolved in water that'll increase the hydrogen bonding if you first dissolve the glycine and alanine that the spider silk is made of," Gwen brainstorms.

Peter glances around the room at the various chemicals before resting his eyes on the periodic table at the front of the classroom, as a light bulb lights up inside his mind.

"If this strong base, we're thinking of can also release carbon naturally into the environment it'll increase the tensile strength of the webbing ten-fold. Something like…" Peter starts.

"Potassium carbonate!" Gwen and Peter shout at the same time.

Over the next few hours, Gwen and Peter gather all the chemicals needed to create the artificial webbing, and they begin to add the different chemicals together. Gwen walks over to Peter with the alanine and glycine proteins mixed inside an Erlenmeyer flask. After superheating the flask over an open flame, Gwen carefully pours the solution into a beaker of ionized water that Peter prepared.

"Okay. Step 1 done. Now all we need to do is add the potassium carbonate," Peter smiles apprehensively.

"Wait, Pete. What if we add ethyl acetate along with the potassium carbonate to increase the strength and durability of the hydrogen bonding without compromising the structural integrity of the elasticity of this…web formula or web fluid, I guess is what you would call it," Gwen suggests.

Gwen looks at Peter with her bright blue eyes piercing into Peter's soul, waiting for him to respond to her idea. Gwen's mind races a million times a second, while waiting for Peter's answer. Hoping, praying, wishing above all else that Peter thinks Gwen's idea of adding ethyl acetate is a good one.

"Gwen, that's a bloody brilliant idea. The ethyl acetate will actually help to stabilize the web fluid we're making, while maintaining structural integrity," Peter smiles enthusiastically.

"Thanks Pete. I li—you're the best, thank you" Gwen stops herself at the last moment before accidentally admitting her feelings for Peter.

Gwen glances out the window and notices the sun starting to set, while shifting her gaze to the clock in the chemistry classroom. It is 5:54 PM. Peter's phone starts to ring, his Uncle Ben on the other end of the line reminding Peter to pick up his aunt from F.E.A.S.T. at 6 PM. Focused on adding the potassium carbonate and the ethyl acetate, Peter ignores his uncle's phone call and continues on with Gwen.

Peter carefully adds both the potassium carbonate and the ethyl acetate into the beaker, while Gwen takes the clear, glass stir rod and mixes the solution of the web fluid inside the beaker. Upon taking the stir rod out of the beaker, Gwen and Peter are both taken aback in awe as a line of web is attached to the stir rod.

"Pete! We did it!" Gwen jumps up and down while hugging Peter.

"Gwen! I can't believe we did it!" Peter shouts.

At 7:30 PM Peter and Gwen parts ways and head towards their own homes, choosing to keep the new web fluid they made at school. Once Peter arrives at his house, he sees Uncle Ben sitting on the front porch with an angry expression on his face.

"You forget something Peter?" Ben says angrily.

Peter tries to think of what he could be forgetting that could make Uncle Ben so mad. All of a sudden Peter's phone rings, its Aunt May calling him from inside the house.

"Oh shit," Peter remembers he was supposed to pick up May at 6 PM at F.E.A.S.T. where she works as the head volunteer coordinator.

"Don't answer your phone, but I'm glad it works. Be a man! Get in there and apologize to your aunt," Ben says, still angry at Peter.

Peter enters his house and immediately begins apologizing to his aunt as he knows he should have been there to pick her up an hour ago.

"Look Aunt May, I'm sorry I wasn't there tonight to pick you up. I got distracted at—" Peter starts to apologize.

Ben interrupts Peter, "Oh you got distracted? Your aunt, my wife, had to walk 3 blocks alone in the dark and wait at an empty subway station ALONE. Something terrible could have happened to her Peter."

Ben realizes that he's been too hard on Peter as he knows that Peter realizes that he should have been there.

"Peter look at me, you're a smart guy. You really are, but choices have consequences son. You must remember that. With great power there must also come great responsibility" Ben finishes.

"I already know I screwed up tonight, I don't need to be lectured by your nonsense Uncle Ben!"

Peter, angry that he has to be lectured by his Uncle Ben after knowing he did the wrong thing tonight, turns to leave the house slamming the door behind him. As Peter slammed the door, which was made up mostly of glass, it shattered due to Peter's new spider strength. Ben starts to go after Peter to get him to come back inside.

"Ben don't," Aunt May pleads to her husband. "He just needs to be alone for a little while. I know you feel bad for upsetting Peter, but you did the right thing."

"I know," Ben still feels guilty for upsetting Peter but chose to listen to his wife and stay behind and not go after Peter.

Peter, still angry at his Uncle Ben, walks until he manages to come upon a convenience store next to a gas station. The convenience store itself was nothing to be proud of, just your normal convenience store connected to a gas station in Queens. The neon open sign on the store was flashing on and off, which caught Peter's eye as he continues to stroll down the street.

"Might as well get something to drink I'm a little thirsty," Peter says to himself.

Right as Peter is leaving the gas station, he notices the store is getting robbed. The crook leaves the store with a handful of cash stolen from the register in his hands as he starts running in Peter's direction.

"Hey kid a little help?" the gas station store manager yells at Peter as the crook escapes from the store.

"Sorry, not my problem!" Peter yells back as the crook runs up to Peter.

"Thanks kid," the crook says as he tosses Peter a wad of bills he stole from the store.

The store manager runs up to Peter after the crook had vanished into the night, turning into an alleyway and out of sight.

"What the hell is a matter with you kid? All you had to do was trip him as he was running away, and he would've been eating pavement. Why would you just let him get away? What's wrong with you?" the store manager asks angrily.

Peter just shrugs his shoulders and slowly walking away with the gas station manager still yelling at Peter from behind.

"Not my problem, I've got bigger problems than you right now bud," Peter says arrogantly.

Peter starts to head back home as he wants to apologize to Uncle Ben and Aunt May for what he said. Peter feels guilty about what he said to Uncle Ben, but still angry at him as well.

"Uncle Ben was only looking out for me and all I did was insult him," Peter talks to himself.

Back at the Parker residence, Ben and May are getting increasingly worried about Peter as the time passes. Dennis Carradine burst into the house with a gun in his hand pointed right at the two of them. Ben and May instantly are frozen in fear with the firearm being directed in their direction.

"Cops are right behind me, give me the keys to your car right now!" Dennis Carradine screams while aiming a gun right at Ben and May.

"H-h-here you are sir," May says full of fear in her eyes as she hands Ben's car keys over to Dennis Carradine.

"Money now!" Carradine screams at Ben.

"You probably have more money than we do," Ben chuckles.

Ben's joke enrages Carradine and shoots at Ben, point blank, in the chest. Carradine runs out of the house and into the car with the car keys that May handed over to him, while Ben is on the ground, bleeding out from being shot.

"Ben, no!" May cries as she frantically picked up the phone to dial 911.

"911 What's your emergency?"

"A man he broke into our house a-a-and shot my husband and stole our car. Please you have to help!" May panicks.

"We're on our way"

"May I can feel it, this is the end for me," Ben says with tears in his eyes.

"No Ben, you can't!" May screams.

"I love you May. Tell Peter that I love him too and I'm incredibly proud of the man he has become," Ben insists through his dying breath.

Meanwhile at the 19th precinct of the NYPD an officer came into Captain George Stacy's office.

"Sir there's been a homicide in Queens near Midtown High," the officer says.

"Gwen is she…" George Stacy asks.

"She's fine, we sent a squad car to your house just in case Captain. The victim's name is Benjamin Parker," the officer says.

"My god," George Stacy says in disbelief.

He's met Ben Parker before through Gwen and Peter's friendship and knew that Ben was a good and honest man. George Stacy grabs his gun and badge, leaving immediately for the Parker residence as he knew where they lived.

Peter walks back to his house, noticing some sirens and is curious about why the police are at his house. Getting closer to his house Peter spots several police cars and an ambulance at the scene as well with its flashing lights, causing even more confusion for Peter.

"What's with all the sirens at home?" Peter wonders aloud from afar.

Peter walks up to his house and discovers that the police are barricading entry for anyone trying to get to the house. George Stacy could see that Peter was desperately trying to get through, pushing several police officers out of the way with his newfound spider strength.

"Officers let him through," George says pointing to Peter.

Peter enters his house, immediately spotting Uncle Ben lying there dead on the ground with a single bullet wound to the chest and the floor is covered in blood.

"Uncle Ben! No! It's not fair!" Peter screams out loud.

Peter who was crying and full of rage immediately went upstairs as he notices Gwen's dad was there and didn't want George Stacy to see him crying.

(Upstairs)

"It's not fair! "Peter screams in his room.

Peter then punches the wall as hard as he could to help the rage. Peter's punch put a hole in the wall thanks to his spider strength and his red luchador mask that he was going to wear for Halloween tumble down onto the floor from a shelf in his closet.

Outside, Captain Stacy was receiving a report on where the crook who took Ben Parker's life is.

"Captain, we found Ben Parker's car, it's located at 9th and Chelsea, a few blocks away," the officer said. "Suspect has barricaded himself in an abandoned warehouse."

"Great, send units to that location right now and equip them with rioting gear. We're bringing this guy in tonight," George Stacy says.

"May we're gonna catch this guy and bring him to justice, you have my word" George Stacy says, turning to May.

"Thank you, George" May says with tears still streaming down her face.

Little did anyone know that Peter's window was open, and he was able to hear the whole conversation about where the crook who took Ben's life was and Peter was preparing to dispense some of his own justice. Peter put the red luchador mask on so nobody would know it was him and climbed out the window using his new powers and ran over as fast as his legs could carry him.

On the other side of town, the police have arrived at the warehouse where Dennis Carradine has barricaded himself inside.

"You're surrounded. Come out with your hands up and surrender," George Stacy yells over the megaphone.

Peter in the red luchador mask is standing on the top of an adjacent building that he climbed, not even realizing that climbing walls was another spider power of his since he was so consumed with rage and vengeance. He sees a point where there is roof access into the warehouse and jumps onto the roof of the warehouse using his new powers and gains access to the warehouse where his uncle's murderer is.

(Inside the warehouse)

Dennis Carradine knows that he has no way out and is going to have to give himself up to the police. Just then he hears noises coming from the ceiling.

"Who's there?" Dennis Carradine shouts as he starts to become afraid, his mind filling with fear.

No answer came. Carradine continues to look around the warehouse until he got the feeling that someone was standing right behind him and aimed his gun right at Peter.

Peter's spider sense went off and he immediately grabs Dennis Carradine's wrist and made him drop the gun, unintentionally breaking his wrist in the process.

"Ahhhhh! Carradine yells in pain.

Peter still had his hand on Carradine's wrist as he kicked him away into the wall. Where the lights from the police surrounding the warehouse finally showed Dennis Carradine's face to Peter.

He was the same man who Peter didn't stop after he robbed that store. And Peter just let him go after robbing the gas station. Peter couldn't believe it was him. He could've stopped him and prevented Ben from dying. Peter realized and thought to himself that Ben's death is entirely his fault.

"You!" Peter screaming as he picked up Dennis Carradine off the ground by his neck. Why did you kill Ben Parker? Why?!" Peter demands.

"You're ch-choking me," Carradine gasps.

"You don't deserve to live after what you've done!" Peter yells.

At that moment he heard in his mind the last words his Uncle Ben spoke to him.

"With great power there must also come great responsibility Peter."

Peter spares Carradine's life and throws him to the ground, breaking Carradine's arm in the process. Carradine immediately runs outside to the police demanding to be arrested.

"Arrest me please! Get me away from that freak in here!" Carradine yells to the police, as he is immediately tased by Captain George Stacy.

Peter looks down below from the top of the warehouse thinking to himself. "Ben wouldn't have wanted me to take his life. Justice has been served but at what cost. Ben told me with great power comes great responsibility and I didn't listen to him," Peter says crying under his mask as he runs back home.
