Previously in this story,
Isogai explains that Izuku's Heroic Impulses can be dangerous if not used correctly. He invites Izuku to go to Tokyo with him to prepare for the U.A. Entrance Exam, which is in 10 months. The next day, Izuku asks All Might for advice and gets an answer that he should follow what his heart desires and go to Tokyo.
...
NARRATORS' POV
After Izuku finished his training, he came back home exhausted and, after resting, called Isogai to say he was ready to go with him. Isogai told him to pack his essentials because they would leave in two days, and Izuku agreed.
Izuku and his mom started packing for him and started filing forms to quit his school and attend Prep school. However, they decided that they shouldn't submit the forms before seeing the Prep School.
...
(Timeskip 2 days Later)
A taxi stopped outside the apartment, from which Isogai came out.
"Please wait here." He said to the driver.
"OK," Driver replied.
He quickly went inside and asked the two of them, "Are you both ready?"
"Yes, we are." Both replied with one suitcase in each of their hands.
"OK, a taxi is waiting outside through which we will go to the Train Station, and I booked the tickets for three of us."
They put their luggage in the back. Isogai sat at the front with the driver, and Inko and Izuku sat at the back. After 15 minutes, they reached the station and boarded their train. The rest of the journey went smoothly. In an hour they reached Tokyo.
After leaving the station, they were greeted by a smiling lady with light brown hair that was kept in a low ponytail with straight square bangs and a kid with dark brown hair just like Isogai.
"It's been a while, huh, Aunt Inko and Izuku?" the lady asked.
"It sure has, Meg," Inko replied.
"Hello, Uncle Izu," the kid greeted Izuku.
"Hello, Takeshi-kun. How old are you?" Izuku asked, kneeling to the kid's level.
"I am 5 years old, and I got a quirk called [Aura Sense]. I can sense the aura of others within a distance of 100 meters," Takeshi said excitedly.
"Wow, I wish I had a quirk like yours." Izuku also said excitedly.
"OK, you too, enough chatting with each other. Talk to each other on our way home; we have plenty of time," Meg said, smiling.
The car was quite spacious for all 5 of them to fit in it. Inside the car, everyone is talking to each other.
"Congratulations, Meg. Isogai told me about that," Inko said happily.
"It was quite a surprise for us too. One day I was feeling dizzy, and Isogai insisted that we should consult a doctor, and there we got this good news. We also confirmed it with our family doctor. I can't wait for that day of delivery."
Soon they reached home, and Isogai and Izuku brought the luggage inside the house. The house itself was quite big for 3 people. There are 6 rooms on the 1st floor and 6 rooms on the 2nd floor (3 on the right and 3 on the left) with a kitchen in the common area, a separate room, and 2 bathrooms on each floor. There is even a basement room downstairs. They had a way too big house for just three of them.
"I know what you are thinking; actually, it's not our house technically; it's for you kids. Think of it as your dorm; we will provide you with food, clothing, and other necessities. Meg is pregnant, so she can't go to work, and I will teach with Nagisa, so we decided that we should be the wardens of this house. Oh! Before I forget, what do you think of the house?"
"IT'S AMAZING," Izuku said.
"Our friend made this."
"Ok everyone, enough talking. Go and get refreshed and rest. Dear, when will the others come?" Meg asked the last part, looking at Isogai.
"Let me ask. They should be arriving today," he said, dialling some numbers.
Isogai, after talking on the phone, said, "They will arrive in the evening. I think we have to take both of our cars to pick them up."
"I think you're right."
...
(Timeskip Evening)
Two cars came.
From one, Isogai came out with a blonde kid with a black bolt on his hair, a kid who is a replica of Erasurehead's sleepy form except his hair, which is dark blue, a tall young man with a large chin and spiky dark hair. And lastly, an adult with wavy, mid-short, light-brown hair that has bangs hanging on either side,
From another, Meg came out with a young woman of an average build with dark hair and earphone jacks in her ear. Then a young girl has ear-length bangs that are arched slightly up before they come down, styled into a set of low, curved pigtails. She has thin, stern-looking eyes with notable lower eyelashes and usually wears a sullen expression. Another person came out, a pale-skinned young woman of average height. She has chin-length, pale grey hair parted on her right, which obscures the majority of the left side of her face. She has dark bags under her blue eyes and a small mouth with full lips. Her hands are usually held up as high as her elbows with her hands draped down, this gesture being somewhat connotative of a ghost. And finally, the last person is an adult who has much longer hair that reaches just above her waist and comes off as very gloomy and melancholic.
Soon all of them came inside, and Isogai and Meg introduced everyone.
"Hello everyone, let's start introducing ourselves."
"Denki Kaminari," says the blonde kid.
"Shinso Hitoshi" says the Easurehead Part 2.
"Saito Fujii," says the tall kid.
(A/N: He is an original character; after this arc, he may or may not be seen.)
"Hiroto Maehara," says the adult male.
"Kyoka Jiro," says the earlobe girl.
"Tsubaki Kunieda," says the girl disinterestingly.
(A/N: She is an original character; after this arc, she may or may not be seen.)
"Reiko Yanagi," says the ghost-like girl.
"Kirara Okuma," says the gloomy adult.
(A/N: She is Kirara Hazama but several years have passed since she got married and changed her last name. I took the last name from the actress of the live-action movie of Assassination Classroom.
"I-izuku M-mid-doriya," Izuku said stuttering as he had never introduced himself to the group.
"Inko Midoriya,"
"Meg Isogai,"
"Takeshi Isogai," Takeshi said excitedly.
After the introductions, everyone went to their room upstairs, boys on the 1st and girls on the 2nd, to unpack their luggage and refresh themselves.
While the kids were unpacking, adults were talking with each other.
"I have to say that I didn't expect that kind of curriculum in your friend's school," said Inko. She went with them to see the school.
"We all build the syllabus and curriculum, which will not only help them to pass the Entrance Exam but also help them in various other fields they have interest in," Yuma said.
"I hope Izuku and other kids will be surprised to learn about this."
"They will be," said Maehara with a level of confidence.
"We are sure of it," said Kiara, to which everyone nodded.
"My job here is done. I'll come again during my classes." Said Maehara
"Mine too. We are borrowing your car," said Kirara.
"OK then, see you soon." Said Meg and Yuma.
And both of them left soon afterwards in one of the cars.
Later on, the kids came and ate dinner. Takeshi quickly went to sleep, and Inko and Meg started washing the dishes. The kids were sitting in the common room and chatting.
"So why are you all here?" asked Kaminari.
"For the same reason you are here for, to become a hero," said Jiro.
"I mean, which school do you all want to attend? For me, I want to attend U.A. Hero course.
"Me too," Midoriya said enthusiastically.
"Me too," Shinso said disinterestedly, but internally he thought,'Why am I even sitting with them? I should have gone to bed. I really don't like extroverts.'
"Well, I want to attend too," Jiro said.
"Me too," said Reiko in an emotionless tone.
"Well, I want to attend Gen-Ed. Because I like reading and learning about new things," said Tsubaki.
"Well, I want to be a doctor. Therefore, I am trying to enter Ishigami Medical School and College, where many famous doctors graduated," said Saito.
"Wow, it's a cool dream, too. But I want to ask how everyone got to know about this school. I got to know through my cousin, whom you saw today," said Kaminari.
"Well, Meg is my cousin, so from her and Big Bro," Izuku replied.
"*Sigh* Well, through my aunt Kirara, because of my quirk and the way I look, people started calling me a villain, but I wanted to be a hero like any other kid. One day, I decided to give up on my dream, but when she heard about it, she said that if something is hard to achieve, that means the reward and satisfaction will be equally great. And then she forced me to enrol here and take the U.A. Entrance Exam," answered Shinso.
"I also come here through her recommendation. She is my mom and is also the reason I got addicted to ghosts and horror stories," said Reiko. Everyone was confused when she called her mom, because her last name is Yanagi and Kirara's last name is Okuma. Before they could ask her about that, Shinso quickly said.
"Yeah, she is eccentric, but she is also kind-hearted. That's why Uncle married her." He said the last part so that they don't ask if her parents got divorced. He also silently whispered that they don't ask her about her mother's topic, and everyone agreed. To change the topic, Saito coughed, gaining attention.
"My Brother recommended me to attend because the person who started this school was once his high School teacher too. You can easily understand this person's capability from the fact that my brother was a delinquent and lowest in his class, but in just one year he cracked the Medical college's Entrance test in one go," explained Saito.
"Yes, my cousin was also his student, and she excelled in the last year of her school and made her name in the top 10," said Jiro.
"My sister told me to attend," said Tsubaki.
"OK, everyone, go to your beds early because from tomorrow onwards your struggle starts, Hehe," Meg said, chuckling the last word.
"What does she mean by struggle?" asked Tsubaki as everyone was confused.
"Maybe she meant that as we all are aiming for prestigious schools, we have to struggle to get it," said Saito, trying to make sense.
Everyone stood and walked away towards their room. All 3 boys are in the 1st room on the right, and the girls are in the 1st room on the left.
...
(Timeskip Next Day)
Everyone woke up, got freshened up, ate their breakfast, and went to where the school was.
"So where is the school? I can't see it," asked Kaminari.
Meg, with a smirk on her face, pointed in the direction and said, "Over there."
All 7 of them gazed towards the direction she pointed and were shocked. "You mean the top of this mountain?"
"Yes, this is part of the first part of your training," Meg replied nonchalantly.
"I get that it's part of their Hero course training, but why should we also have to climb it?" asked Tsubaki.
To which Meg replied, "Roman poet Juvenal once quoted, 'A healthy mind resides in a healthy body.'" It will be beneficial for the stress release and help you mentally relax."
They had to agree even though they didn't want to.
"Come with me; I will show you the route so you won't get lost."
IZUKU'S POV
After an hour we reached the top of the mountain and saw our school building.
As soon as we reached the top, we collapsed immediately. Five minutes later, we woke up inside the classroom at our desks; two more students were present in the classroom, equally exhausted.
"Oh! You all woke up, huh?" Big Sis Meg came with a box and asked
All of us started to regain our strength and nodded.
"OK then, go wash your faces in the back of the building and revitalise yourself with these energy drinks, but don't drink too much."
All of us went to wash our faces, came back, and drank our drinks. After drinking, we went to our a minute or two, someone came,
I couldn't tell if he/she was male/female because the hair was long but not long enough, looked somewhat feminine but wore a male dress, and his/her height was just like that of a high schooler, and he/she stood in front of the blackboard and said,
"Hello! My name is Nagisa Shiota, and I'll be your homeroom teacher. You're welcome to call me Shiota-sensei or Nagisa-sensei. Glad to meet you all. I hope you all have a great time learning in my classroom; also, I want to clarify that I am a man." the teacher exclaimed to the class. "Now, shall we get started and take attendance?" Nagisa-sensei suggested. To which we all nodded.
"So, let's begin, Ryu Takahashi."
"Here," the new male student answered.
"Michiru Honcho"
"Here," the new female student answered.
"Izuku Midoriya,"
"Here," I answered.
"Denki Kaminari,"
"Here,"
"Tsubaki Kunieda,"
"Here,"
"Kyoka Jiro"
"Here,"
"Hitoshi Shinsō"
"Here,"
"Reiko Yanagi"
"Here,"
"Saito Fuji"
"Here,"
"All right then, you all are here to pass the entrance exam of your dream school, right?" Sensei asked us. To which we all nodded.
"But I am here to prepare you not only for the Entrance exam but also for society. So, here is the first task from me to you, 'Kill Me Before March." He exclaimed, to which we were shocked would be an understatement; our minds had stopped working.
"What do you mean, sensei?" It was all we could have asked for due to the shock.
"By 'kill' means, decapacitate me or bring me to a position where I can't do anything. You have three chances per student every day from now onwards." He explained sensibly.
"But what's the meaning of this task?" someone asked.
"To answer that, let's take hero course students as an example. Let's say you have an infiltration mission in Villain HQ; what will be your first action?"
We didn't know as no one answered. We believed that to stop a villain, a hero must fight head-on. But never thought of an infiltration mission.
"Then I will tell you, your first task must be to decapacitate everyone before anyone notices, because if someone does notice you, the whole mission will be jeopardised, and the villain may increase the pace of the plan, or you may get killed before finishing the mission."
"We get it, but why use the word 'kill'? You could've used the word 'decapitate' from the start," Jiro said.
"Because there will be times when you have to kill. Either to stop the villain's plan or to protect the innocents. There will be times when you have to choose between a villain's life or a civilian's life," he reasoned. We started dwelling on our thoughts.
Then the new student named Michiru, I guess, asked, "Then why do we also have to be a part of 'killing' you? It's not like the rest of us are going to be heroes."
To which Sensei simply said, "And it's also not like there will always be a hero to protect you."
"We don't understand."
"Let's say you are on your way home and you see that in an alley, a man with a knife in his hands is going to stab someone, and he hasn't seen you, so what will be your first course of action?" He gave them a scenario and asked a question.
"Run," Michiru-san said.
"Choice is correct; saving yourself in such a situation must be your top priority, but unfortunately, when a person sees something like that, he/she unintentionally makes some sound, and you don't know if he is faster than you or not. So the chance of success is quite low in it."
"Sneak on him because he hasn't seen us." Someone else suggested.
"That's a wrong choice because it has been noted that when someone commits a crime, especially murder, his senses become extremely sharp, and sneaking is a very high-level stealth skill that requires the right training and lots of practise, which you don't have."
"Call the police or hero helpline number."
"It may alert him. So, any more suggestions?" Sensei said.
We were out of ideas.
"No more? You can be in that same hostage situation, and you couldn't protect yourself. It's harsh, but it's the truth." He paused to let us think about it thoroughly and continued, "In this hero-centric society, everyone is too much dependent on Hero. I don't hate All Might; I appreciate his contributions in decreasing the crime rate, but he is also the reason common civilians are too dependent on heroes. For every injustice and every crime, they hope that a hero will be there and do something and ignore it right away. They don't want to be a hero for themselves."
"But sensei, it's All Might we are talking about, the Symbol and Pillar of Peace. He is invincible; he can fight every injustice on his own. That's why civilians trust heroes." Kaminari countered.
"No, Kaminari, no one is invincible; it's just that he is not an idiot who will reveal his weakness to anyone so that they can exploit it. If he is invincible, then can anyone tell me about his quirk or his real name?" Everyone shook their heads in resignation because his public information, or even his name, was not made public. 'Sensei is right; no one is perfect. All Might himself said that he always smiles because he hides his struggles behind them and gives a sense of invincibility to villains and civilians.'
"Whole society is standing over that pillar, but what happens when that pillar gets destroyed either by someone or because of its age? The answer is simple: society will crumble into dust, and the crime rate will rise exponentially. Dependency is good in hard times, but over-dependency always leads to doom."
He continued, "Have you read about the Struggle for Independence of other countries in History class or the Fight against Discrimination on Quirks during the pre-quirk Emergence era? Do you think all of this was started to be successful by a single individual? If you think it was, then you are wrong. It may have started with an individual or a small group, but it was succeeded by people who joined the cause even after the initiators' death. They were not dependent on the initiator but on themselves; they knew the moment they stopped fighting for themselves, there would be no future."
'Does All Might think the same? Is that why he is looking for a successor? To continue fighting for the cause? Or does he not know about the over-dependency and burden?' I was thinking these questions because I was the same person who thought a hero could do anything and just dreamt of becoming a hero.
But with courage in my heart, I raised my hand and asked him, "But sensei, what if a new Symbol of Peace came, or All Might chose a successor?" Everyone's eyes were on me for that question. I thought I was shrinking in my desk because of the stares.
"Good question, Midoriya. Let's say you bought a phone that brought revolution in the industry, but after years of using it, it broke, and you decide to buy a phone from another company, but you want a phone that has the same qualities as your previous phone. You won't be satisfied with it. Do you know why?"
To which, I shook my head.
"That's because there was nothing much to compare it with, nor was there a criteria for the best phone during its launch, but that phone set a criteria to meet. It's the same for the Symbol of Peace; there wasn't a Symbol before All Might, therefore no criteria or expectations, but now All Might has set criteria and expectations to meet to become the next Symbol of Peace. To meet the expectations, one must forget their individuality and become someone else. If someone is willing to lose themself, then they will be the next Symbol. If no, then there won't be any." He said the last two sentences with some force.
With that, we all remained silent because we had so much now to ponder. A few minutes later, Sensei said, after he thought we all had enough pondered,
"So, your Quirk Philosophy session is over."
"What!? This whole discussion was part of the class?" We all exclaimed.
"Yes, It was. Didn't I say anything about preparing you for society? For that, philosophical debate and discussions are essential. Philosophical and moral values are what differ between a True Hero and a Hero who works only for the profession and fame."
"So does that mean the 'killing' part was also for the discussion?" Someone asked.
"No, I was serious about that. And to make you all serious about that, let's place a reward. Anyone who kills me on the first try won't have to climb the mountain for the next 6 days; if they kill me on the second try, they won't have to climb for the next 3 days, and whoever kills me on the last try, then they won't have to climb on any one day they want in that week. But," He paused for dramatic purpose. "Last but not least, whoever 'kills' me 10 times will be given 1 MILLION YEN."
"WHAT!" We all screamed because who won't?
"If you don't believe me, there is a contract under your desks that was signed by me and a reputed lawyer who can confirm the authenticity." We all saw that there was a contract, and we read it to see if it was real or if there was some kind of loophole in there. After confirming that there is no such thing. We said we were ready for this.
"OK, for the rules,
You can't disclose anything about it without my or the teacher's permission. Because we don't believe that everyone will agree with our methods, and it's a hassle to explain them every time.
You should not bring property damage into your assassination because its purpose is self-defence, stealth, immediate results, and being a last resort. No self-harm is permitted in your methods. Because those who cannot protect themselves cannot protect others.
Lastly, for weapons and quirk usage, you are allowed to use them in your methods as long as I am alive. You will use special kinds of weapons that I will show you in the P.E. Period. During my teaching, assassination is prohibited.
You can use any method you want, no matter the lethality." He paused and smirked and continued, "Because you can't kill me." He said the last part with a smugness. Jiro-san attacked him with her ear jacks, as she was irritated because he was underestimating us, but before they could touch him,
He anticipated and clapped so hard that I got into a paralysing state. When I regained myself, I saw that not only I, but everyone else was also in the same state, but Jiro-san had it the worst; she was lying her head on her neck, and sensei was in front of her. 'What happened to us? Was that sensei's quirk?
He snapped in her neck and she slowly started to wake up, he went towards the blackboard and looked at us smiling but it was not your happy smile, it was menacing and terrifying. All of the student's spines shivered at Shiota-sensei's sweet but menacing smile and he said,
"Welcome to your own Assassination Classroom."
...
Chapter 03 End
A/N: Hello Everyone!
I'd like to clarify something:
1. Saito Fuji, Tsubaki Kunieda, Ryu Takahashi, and Michiru Honcho are my original characters, created specifically for the various courses in which they will participate. It does not make sense for a prep school to only offers a hero course when they can offer many more. I may not utilize them in future arcs, but if my mind changes, I will introduce them.
2. Another character, Reiko Yanagi, she is a cannon character but I will change her story and some part of her personality. I only put her because I wanted a character with spooky tendencies like Kirara and a quirk for that spookiness, but she is not Kirara's child here.
3. As for Kirara and Shinso's family tree, Kirara married to the youngest brother of Shinso's mother.
4. Jiro's sister is also an OC.
5. Ishigami University is a fictional Institute of this story.
Next Chapter will be on New Year.
