Chapter 4:
Another Way Into The Temple
Twilight and Spike followed Sunset to find another way to get back inside the temple to warn the others about the temple being under attack. But along the way, they made it to another part of the temple that could help them get back in. it has multiple entrances and exits that were hidden, in case of enemy attacks. And they appear to be on the verge of one of them.
Twilight, Spike, and Sunset saw some Dreadwings flying around as bombs were being dropped all around the temple, which shook the place a bit and ahead of them there's a commander of the Storm Creatures with two more members of the Dark Army at the top, who appear to be wearing dark ninja-like suits, walking forward.
The Commander scouts ahead and spotted the two Alicorns and Dragon.
"The Alicorn Warrior!" He shouted through his clothed mask as he raised his weapon.
"Hey, Ugly Ape Guy! Oooh, ooh, ohh," Spike said, doing some shadowboxing and making monkey noises before turning to Twilight and Sunset, "Now that we've change pleasantries, can we fight?".
"You don't have to ask us. Because we know we'll show these monkeys who are the real boss around here," Twilight said, getting herself ready to fight the intruders with determination while focusing her magic again.
"I hope you're ready to fight them without your powers, Twilight. Because here they come," Sunset said, watching the Commander send his soldiers down to deal with them as they approach.
But Twilight, Spike, and Sunset didn't back down and got into their fighting positions, ready to fight the Dark Army again.
As the two Soldiers of the Dark Army approached them, Twilight, Sunset, and Spike jumped out of their way and dodged the attack. Twilight melee one soldier before tossing him in the air and some new aerial combat skills that she learned in the dream realms on him. Then she kicked him hard to the ground defeated.
"Whoa, Twilight. That was one impressive move you did back there," Sunset said, surprised to see Twilight using a new aerial combat technique on an enemy like that.
"How did you learn to do a move like that?" Spike asked, he was surprised by the skill Twilight did on the enemy as well.
"I'll have to tell you guys later. Right now we have more enemies to deal with," Twilight stated, pointing Spike and Sunset to see another bomb exploding, and coming from it are two bulldog-like monsters.
"Looks like those guys have just made our night more interesting," Sunset commented, ready to defeat those creatures as well.
"Alright, I'll handle the monster dog on the left, Sunset, you can handle the other one on the right. Spike, you think you can handle the other Dark Solider?" Twilight said, pointing Spike to the Ape Soldier heading towards them.
"Like you have got to ask," Spike smirked as he flew off to handle the Soldier while Sunset and Twilight handled the dog monsters.
Just like with the first Ape Soldier, Twilight melee on the first Dog Monster while Sunset was fighting the second one with her fire magic. Then Twilight tossed the first Dog Monster into the air and did another new aerial combat move on the creature, including headbutting it to the ground with her horn, defeated.
Sunset managed to chase the second Dog Monster until it was cornered and used her Fire Magic to burn it to defeat.
And as for Spike, well, he, Sunset, and Twilight worked together to toss the Ape Solider into the air and did some amazing combo aerial combat skills on him until Twilight served the final blow and kicked him down, defeated.
But after defeating the Ape Soldier, two more Dog Monsters appeared out of nowhere and attacked them. However, Twilight and Sunset worked together and melee on the first Dog Monster before tossing him into the air and doing aerial combats on him before Twilight kicked him down to the ground, defeated.
Twilight, Sunset, and Spike fought the second Dog Monster and defeated him in no more than a second.
Seeing how they managed to defeat his flunkies, the Commander jumped down to handle them himself as two more of those Dog Monsters appeared to fight by his side.
Twilight, Spike, and Sunset handled the Dogs first. With the first Dog, Twilight used her aerial combat skills and headbutts the miserable monster mutt to the ground defeated.
Sunset melee on the second dog and burned him down with her Fire Magic to defeat.
After the dogs were defeated, Twilight and Sunset worked together on the Commander. Sunset melee on him before tossing him into the air and Twilight uses her aerial combat skills once more and kicked him to the ground, defeated.
Once the area was cleared from their enemies, bombs began to drop down and exploded, clearing away some rocks off the spots of the statues.
"Guys, the bombs have cleared away the rocks from the statues," Sunset said, noticing the bombs have cleared away the rocks, which means they can move the statues to open the door.
"Then we better move these statues into place and fast. We still have to warn and help the others," Twilight said, reminding Sunset and Spike of their plan.
"We got nothing to lose. Come on," Spike said in agreement as they set out to restore the statues into place.
After they moved the statues into their rightful place, the door was beginning to glow. And after they made it to the balcony and stand in the glowing spot, the door then opens in front of them.
Seeing that they can finally get back inside, Twilight, Sunset, and Spike hurried inside before the gate closed. Once they are inside, Twilight managed to light up three magical torches that managed to open up another gate. Sunset and Spike were quite surprised to see that Twilight was able to use her magic again, but they put that aside for later.
Once they entered through the gate, ahead of them they saw three members of the Dark Army hooting and hollering until suddenly the ground they were standing on started to shake, and before they knew it, the ground broke apart and collapsed with the soldiers falling along on it.
"Whoa, bet they didn't see that coming," Spike commented on their misfortune.
"No, they didn't. At least we know we're heading in the right direction," Twilight said as they continued on their trek to help the others with the intruders...
