I was walking through the woods, trying to find a lake to fish at. I tiptoed behind a tree, peeking through the side as I watched a little rabbit, the size of my hand, eating some grass.

'Not what I wanted, but oh well..' I thought to myself, as I sprinted behind another tree closer to the animal. The grass swayed slightly but made no noise.

The rabbit perked its ears, looking around. Soon after it went back to eating the patch of grass, causing me to let out an inaudible sigh of relief.

I focus my eyes on the rabbit. My vision suddenly turned to tunnel vision, and my senses heightened.

I waited, and waited, and waited.

Till' I attacked.

I leaped into the air, the grass swaying from where I originally was.

The rabbit perked its ears, but it was too late, as it turned around.

The rabbit's eyes went wide before the only thing you could hear was a squeal of an animal.

/POV - Nobody's/

He sat down the rabbit on a spare log before sitting on it as well.

Slowly, he brought a steady hand to his face.

There were blue-tinted claws on his hands. Not that he didn't know this already, but he was always so fascinated when he saw them. It was also because he had scales on the back of his hand.

They were very thin and could sometimes fall off.

He soon learned it was called shedding.

He slowly went out of his muddled thoughts, starting to skin the rabbit to place on a stick he had prepared.

He always loved meat and still did, but since he wasn't allowed to shop for food, he came out to the woods to get any type of meat.

Although, it was never easy when he first tried it.

For years, the 8-year-old boy denied ever hunting, as he thought it was cruel, so he had just stuck to garbage cans and the like.

That was until one day a villager decided to throw poisoned food in all of the local bins he would go through.

He had gone through one of the local restaurant's bins, and found a half-eaten bento, in a plastic container.

That day was one of the few times he almost died.

He suffered from a severe poison that boiled his intestines.

Luckily, the doctors and medics managed to keep him alive enough to find an antidote.

The person, or dog, who found him in the middle of an alleyway was one of the Inuzuka dogs.

The dog's name was still unknown to the boy but he still saw the dog from time to time with its owner, Hana Inuzuka.

Now, you might be wondering, who is this boy? What is this boy?

Most of you should know by now, but you don't...

The boy's name is Naruto Uzumaki, Pariah of Konoha, Jinchuriki of the 9 tails, Kyuubi. His birthday was a month ago, and he just turned 8.

What he is... You will find out soon enough...

When he found out about his... Unique abilities, he was only 6.

It wasn't just some random time, no. He had to wait an entire week of pain and misery for him to actually... Acquire, the abilities.

It had been in the middle of school when he had a major migraine. It felt like someone was trying to hit him with a shovel 5 million times.

He had asked to go to the nurse a couple of times, but his teacher, Iruka, didn't allow him. His excuse was-

"We have a half-hour left of class, so you can go after."

After class, his entire body shook as pain engulfed him from the inside out. He felt like he could pass out any minute, but his extraordinary healing had kept him up and conscious, long enough to not pass out right then and there.

He had stood up for just a second before he felt lightheaded, eyes drooping as numbness filled him, his consciousness fading away bit by bit.

He heard a faded scream...

/Naruto's POV/

Naruto... Who's... Naruto...?

Oh right... That's me...

Wake up

Wake..up?

Wa-

-Ke

Up

It's so... So dark...

I gasped as I shot up, looking around the room I was in.

It was not the darkness I saw earlier... It was a hospital room...

I panted as I got out of the hospital bed, ripping the I.V. out. Blood started to drip from my wrist but within seconds the blood stopped.

/Nobody's POV/

From that day onward I didn't go to school. I would be in either pain or exhaustion every day.

That was, until Saturday.

I had woken up to pain blaring in my head and shoulder blades down.

It was so bad that I thought I was hallucinating when I heard a rip and tear. Especially when I had felt that rip and tear on my tailbone, shoulder blades down, and forehead.

I felt a great weight push out from my forehead before it stopped.

I felt pins and needles stretch from my tailbone.

I felt something come out from my back, one on each side.

I felt... Weird.

That, was when I screamed to the point my lungs hurt.

/Nobody's POV/

Naruto had ran into the bathroom but had trouble doing so. It felt like everything was on fire and he could feel blood dripping from his forehead.

He looked in the mirror, panic filling his eyes as to what he saw.

His hair turned a dark purple, and on his forehead were two black horns that were slightly pointed inwards.

Then he saw the more severe things.

Two large wings sprouted out of his back. They were edged with black and the more detailed parts were a purple.

What was bad about the wings was the sharp edges of the feathers, as well as a few spikes on the outer bone of the wings, at the very top.

What else was more frightening, was the tail that sprouted from his tailbone.

It was long, and when pointed upwards, it was a head taller than himself.

It had very sharp spikes coming out of every corner of the outer part of the tail. What was worse was the heart-shaped dagger at the end of the tail. It was so sharp that it made a scratch so easily on the wooden sink cabinet when it lightly grazed it. It was also purple at the base and faded to black.

He panicked when he noticed scales had grown on his jawline to cheeks.

There was also another deadly weapon.

His anxiety-chewed-up nails had grown long and blue-tinted. It was so very sharp that he scratched more random things from searching to look for a way to hide...

This...

What was worse was the thin scales on the back of his hands.

He panicked before he realized something.

Henge.

They had just learned it a month ago, a few days after his birthday.

Naruto started to hyperventilate when he realized that he just barely was able to make decent henge in the first place, slacking off and playing pranks all day was not the way to go, he guessed.

He paced around, knowing that trying was the best shot.

He bets that anbu will soon arrive from his scream.

Although he was 6, that didn't mean he wasn't trained enough to run for his life.

He has done it countless times before he stopped and started to practically live in the woods. Hunting, living, and surviving, helped with his survival abilities.

That didn't say he was the best, he just knew when to not make noise and how to look where to step.

He ran towards his bedroom. It was very bare and didn't have a bed. He liked to sleep on the floor after sleeping in a tree or on the ground in the woods.

He ripped out a piece of hardwood floor, finding a box.

He ripped it out and set it down, very carefully and slowly. He was trying to get used to the tail and wings, as the horns didn't bother him much.

He had already accidentally cut himself a few times, mostly on his legs as he didn't understand how to move the wings and tail yet.

He opened the big box to find a few kunai, a journal, a few quills, ink, needle, thread, and a bunch of little pieces of cloth.

He smiled slightly before closing the box and standing up.

'If anyone sees me like this, they will kill me. I need to go.' He thought to himself.

He grabbed a spare outfit and left. He didn't look back, as he had heard his door being slammed open and shouting coming within.

That day was when he started to live in the woods, gathering information about all that was happening from the local stores, as the people there tend to... Talk very, very loudly.

He also used henge, which he had practiced multiple times to perfection, to spy around the academy and see what he missed.

He had also learned how to hide everything.

And it wasn't a henge.

But, he didn't learn all this in a day.

It took him about 4 months to perfect the henge, as well as a little over 2 months to master the Kawarimi.

He still didn't know how to do bunshin.

He also found out that the investigation about him was hilarious.

They thought an attack from a ninja happened, and they suspected it was from Kumo. He didn't know why Kumo, but he didn't care enough to find out why.

They had said the scratches were similar to kunai but sharper, and that the reason everything was torn up was that the "Kumo" shinobi was tearing everything to find Naruto.

They also said that he was kidnapped.

Naruto had also seen how frantic the Hokage was when he had jumped on a roof with a random no-name shinobi disguise on through the window of the Hokage tower.

All said and done, that didn't explain exactly... How, he spied on everything and everyone. Henge doesn't do much but hide your appearance from civilians and low genin.

So... The answer to that question, is...

He doesn't know.

It's like... Instinct. One second he could feel his chakra bubble throughout him, and the next when he feels troubled or any other emotion like anger, his chakra would suddenly feel... Suppressed.

He slipped up when he almost laughed when he saw the Hokage, but then Hokage looked at him from the corner of his eyes.

Naruto had freaked out so much, his chakra had been suppressed to the point it almost hurt. It made him blend in with his surroundings and he swore he almost had a heart attack.

It is not all fine and dandy though.

He is not as strong as others would think.

He could get beat by a Jounin easily, and high Chunin. He could probably give a low Chunin a run for their money.

It was all because of instinct as well.

Being a dragon that is.

He had found out what he was a few weeks after he fled.

He could move his wings and tail easily now and has started to use them to kill little animals to eat.

He still didn't know how to fly.

His tail had caused him so many problems when he was younger, he had scars for days.

He also found out that he would instinctually WAG his tail when he was happy.

He wasn't a damn dog, he was a dragon! A cool dragon at that!

It actually took him a while but he thought of himself as a monster for the first few weeks of his transformation. He soon accepted it and didn't care what people might think of him.

Naruto snapped out of his thoughts again, noticing he was almost done with his food.

Suddenly, he heard a snap of a branch. He jumped before fleeing to the woods, leaving behind his raw rabbit.

He had learned that raw rabbit was better for him as he had now become a part dragon, and cooked meat didn't go well.

Add to that fact, it didn't taste good cooked like it used to.

He still didn't know why he became a part dragon.

He also read in the books that many centuries ago, there lived thousands of species of dragons. All shapes and sizes, colors, strengths, everything. Some were small, some were big, some were weak, and some were strong.

They had appeared a few thousand years before the Bijuu were formed. It was rumored that the gods had blessed human life with the protection of dragons, and with that protection came from both sides.

Peace had come over the human race for more than a thousand years before a great force had destroyed any and all the dragons that lived, and with that came the death of the great force.

It was rumored that only one dragon had lived, and used the rest of its power to spread it to the Bijuu.

Theoretically, people thought it was to send a curse to them.

Other people thought it was trying to reproduce by making the Bijuu reproduce, and instead of baby kits or cats, it was a baby dragon.

That was not to be, Naruto had thought as his nails grew and he started to run on four legs.

Instead, it's jinchuriki could get the genes. It was also rumored that it went to a selected few Bijuu.

Which probably was true, but nobody knew for sure.

Back to the chase, Naruto didn't know what was after him, but what he did know is that he is getting far away from it as possible. He was glad only his claws came out. His chakra was already suppressed.

He couldn't sense where the thing was, but he still ran, hearing its footsteps fading in the distance.

His panting slowed to calm breathing after stopping by a tree.

Suddenly, he heard a rustling of chains, so he bolted, just out of the way of a bunch of heated red chains that were going to squish him.

He heard a silent curse as he ran and ran until he was deep into the forest. He slowed to a jog before he got to one of his many dens.

This one was one of the smaller ones, as it was a hole in a tree.

Every den he had around the forest had at least one pack of matches.

He has multiple in-case predators found the den he was in at that time.

Humans, for example.

He might have used to be a human as well, but after realizing he was never treated like one, he never thought of himself as... Human.

Humans always hurt him and made him feel like a caged rat, never to live out life like it was supposed to be...

When he had first started to live in the forest, the predators nor' prey had been used to him. Therefore, the bigger animals tried to attack him, while others stayed away.

He figured out sooner than later that trying to wash any dirt that got on him wasn't an ideal idea, as living in the woods where only dirt, trees, grass, and animals accompanied you, he would only get dirt on himself more times when trying to be careful than not.

But he supposed that was enough recap of what had happened, or, how, it happened.
