This one has a small smut scene with Rei and Jadeite cut out. If you don't mind a bit of it or if you want to read the smut, the whole thing is in Immortal Moon S.

Blueeyeddevil06, as always, you're amazing. Love you. Thank you for being my beta.

As soon as Rei hung up the phone, she frowned down at the decapitated body. "Well, that happened."

Jadeite chuckled, "and you were fantastic. Seriously, how cool is it that you're my mate?"

She smiled over at him, and her look softened. "It's pretty neat—you lovable doof."

She turned to Zoisite, "how much do you know about Vision Walking?"

He shrugged. "A tiny bit. Why?"

"Good. That's more than I do. I feel the need to, right now, after this debacle. And I am asking you to watch over me. I was hoping you could learn something from it too."

Jadeite clicked his tongue, annoyed. "Yeah. I'm out. I'm going to go and do anything except listen to this. I should have said I don't want to know when it's happening."

He then walked directly to Rei and kissed her passionately. When he pulled back, he said, "mine!"

"All yours," she replied, smiling. She knew he was fighting against his instincts for her. "Thank you."

"Yeah," he grumbled. "I'm a treasure. Now go and do that horrible thing you insist on." He appeased himself a bit by then patting her on the ass. "My reward," he whispered.

And so Rei was in front of the Great Fire and Vision Walking.

She crossed her arms when Mars stood in front of her on a beach and teased, "you're on your ass again."

She glared and replied, "you could have told me. He killed all those people! How can I even trust you after you kept that from me?"

He laughed in response. "You are too precious. Do you think I'm that powerful? You think I knew what was coming? I make men and women into warriors. I conquer with force and power. Not foreknowledge."

"You knew about me!"

He nodded, "yes. Because I can read and listen. I read the prophecies; I listen to the other gods. You have been talked about for a long time. Your whole group has been. Can't you feel the power shifting even here in the ether?"

"Yes. I feel…something big is happening. What is it?" She looked at him in confusion. And noticed the hairs on her arms were all standing up straight.

"Usagi's destined love, tonight he becomes King of the Vampires. He has laid down his life and will rise and take the throne. You serve the king and queen."

She blinked. "I thought this was about the past. I saw the other girls, and we were all Usagi's attendants. She was a princess. And then I saw Jadeite, but…what?"

He smiled and held out his hand. "Take a look."

The moment she touched his hand, she was in the past. She blushed to the roots of her hair when she saw Usagi and Mamoru locked in a passionate embrace. He had her on her back on the couch, his hand was on her breast, and she was making lewd noises.

She spun to go see what else she could discover because she was very sure she didn't want to look anymore.

She walked into another room, and warmth pooled in her belly. Jadeite was there with her past self, and suddenly, she didn't mind lewd noises.

SsssssssssssssssS

Suddenly Rei was standing in front of Mars.

She rolled her eyes. "You put me in the wrong room at first."

He smiled at her and shook his head. "No. I put you where you needed to be. You recognized the man with her."

"Mamoru."

"Endymion back then, and she was Serenity. You are all reincarnated. The first time it didn't end well."

Rei looked on in shock. "What?"

"Beryl. You heard her name?"

"Yes."

"She consulted the dark magics and got immense power. She wanted to be queen, and she lusted after Endymion. And she tried to kill Serenity. He saved her but died himself. And she killed herself on his sword."

"That's awful!" Rei said, grieved.

"It gets worse. Beryl is reincarnated too."

"Does she know the past?"

"I haven't been able to decipher that. If she does, that's a problem. She would remember how to gain magical power."

"You didn't focus on Diamond because you knew he wasn't the big worry."

He nodded. "Yes. And I failed you."

"No, I see that now. I was wrecked seeing Usagi's grief. I wasn't thinking."

"She's yours to serve in two lifetimes. You feel that connection."

And in another drastic shift, she was sitting in front of the Great Fire again.

Zoisite was there, staring at her. "Did you learn anything?" He asked quietly.

"A lot. You can't imagine what I discovered!" She said excitedly—missing his flat tone.

He stood and nodded, and they walked out of the room and into the cool night air.

He frowned and said, "that's disappointing."

Rei looked at him in confusion. "No, I said-"

"I heard what you said!" He snapped. He then took a deep breath and said, "Jadeite saw that?"

"Yes. He didn't know–"

"Stop." He held up his hands. "Just stop and give me a damn second!"

"Why are you mad at me?"

He shot her a look. "I'm not. I'm trying not to throw up!" He shook his head abruptly. "Not gonna work." He then ran over and puked in the bushes.

When he walked back, she looked at him in concern. "Are you sick? Do werewolves get sick?"

"No, we don't, and I'm not sick. That was the worst thing I have ever seen." He looked at her, stricken. "You're my packmate's bonded mate. I'm wired to want to protect you, and I like you for who you are. Jadeite has massive balls if he can know you're doing that. You looked and smelled dead. I knew you weren't dead, and I couldn't make myself believe that."

He sat down on the ground and ran his fingers through his hair. "Okay, as bad as that was. Don't ask Kunzite to watch, either. As pack leader, it would be worse."

She sat down across from him. "Sorry. I didn't realize…I won't ask you again. I thought…" Rei frowned. "It was that bad?"

"Rei, it was really that bad. Jadeite had to have been wild in his grief."

She blushed. "He was. He said he considered jumping into the Great Fire."

He shook his head. "And now you said you learned something from it. I wanted it to have been useless, so I could try talking you out of it. Damn, that really freaking sucked!"

"Sorry."

He looked at her and shook his head. "It's not on you. It's what it is. You're powerful." He shook his head. "I can be there next time. I can't unsee that anyway. I'll be there for you, and because I will do that for Jadeite."

"You loved Ami before. We all were coupled up in our past lives."

"What?" he asked, confused.

"It's what I learned, and I wanted you to know why I Vision Walk. Ami has always been yours. She's more than a bonded mate."

He smiled at her. "Thank you for that. So it was good news?"

"No. No, that life ended in tragedy. I'll explain that to everyone at once, though."

He stood, helped her up, and pulled out his cell phone. He contacted Jadeite by video chat. "Say hi, Rei," he said.

"Hi Jadeite, it's over." She smiled when she saw his relief.

Zoisite directed the phone at himself then. "That was the worst fucking thing I've seen. And we worked for Diamond. What the hell?!" He rubbed his eyes with his free hand. "I puked afterward, and I'm not remotely embarrassed to admit that."

Rei's heart warmed when she heard Jadeite say, "yeah, it's vile. But she is damn powerful."

Zoisite smiled. "That she is."
