(Authors Note: What's up, everyone! Thank you all so much for checking out my first ever Bad Guys FF! Now, just a note, this story is rate M for numerous reasons (and as a precaution due to some crude language, some violence, past traumas, ect.); however, ya'll needn't worry as I'll be sure to post a warning label at the start of the chapters with said ratings. Please be mindful that this is a romance between Mr. Snake and my OC, so if you don't like it, then don't read it. Chapter 1

"So that's two Cosmopolitans, one Vodka Martini, three Pina Coladas, one Mai Tai, and one Aperol Spritz," Lilith casually stated as she served the bachelorette party their latest round of drinks. While waitressing/bartending wasn't the most ideal form of employment, the young blonde had no reason to complain as she was happy to be working at one of the best karaoke bars and grill this side of Los Angeles.

Sure, some people would find her line of work beneath them, but she paid those folks no mind as she was content with her job: Her boss actually paid their employees a living wage on top of the tips they received. She was provided with health insurance. Her coworkers were amazing and fun to work with. And the majority of the people she served were pretty chill and good tippers. What more could she want?

"Hey, Lilly, would you mind serving table eight for me," her coworker, Hannah, asked in a timid voice, prompting her to raise a brow:

"Sure, but might I ask why?"

"I-I don't think I need to explain," she gestured with a tilt of her head towards the table in question, to which Lilith glanced over her shoulder and blinked in shock at who was occupying said table: the Bad Guys!

Honestly, Lilith didn't know why everyone thought they were scary. She actually thought they were pretty cool. Regardless, she retrieved her pen and notepad from her apron and approached their table with a smile:

"Hello! Welcome to Golden Mics! My name is Lilith and I'll be your server this evening. Is there anything I can get you all to start with?"

"Yea, I'll take an Old Fashioned and a glass of lemon water," Mr. Wolf answered with a charming smile before Mr. Piranha added:

"And I'll have the Golden Nachos with extra queso and a Gin Fizz."

"Oh, I'll take a Long Island Iced Tea and the Buffalo Cauliflower Bites with extra bleu cheese dressing," Mr. Shark stated with a sharp grin.

"I'll just have a Strawberry Daiquiri," Ms. Tarantula ordered.

"And I'll take a Penicillin," Mr. Snake added as she finished jotting down their drink orders.

"Alrighty, I'll give you guys some time to look over the menus and in the meantime, I'll deliver your appetizer orders and have our bartender get started on your drinks right away."

"Thanks, Lilith," Wolf replied with another grin as she politely bowed her head and headed off.

"Wow, she wasn't even afraid of us," Shark commented as he casually sat back in his chair.

"And she took our orders without giving us any uncomfortable or dirty looks," Webs added with a smile.

Sure, they were no longer the "Bad Guys", but a lot of people still held resentment towards them because of their past crimes, or they were afraid of them because they were scary looking predators. Regardless, it was nice to have someone not fear them for a change.

Flicking out his tongue and tasting the air around him, Snake instantly picked up on the sweet scent/taste of peaches and jasmine, to which his gaze shifted towards their waitress, who had just dropped off their orders and was currently waiting on another table.

Sure, she showed kindness and respect towards them during their interaction, as it was part of her job to be civil with customers; however, Snake didn't sense any fear from her during said interaction, which meant she genuinely wasn't afraid of him or his friends. That, and her smile wasn't fake or forced when she addressed them.

Professionalism and civility aside, he mentally noted that she was also rather pretty for a human, what with her short blonde hair, bright blue eyes, intricate tattoos, and snake bite piercings, which he found quite stunning.

"Hey, you still with us, hermano," Piranha snapped his fins, to which Snake shook his head and focused back on his friends:

"H-Huh? Yea! Yea, I'm listening."

"Oh really? Then what did I just say," Wolf asked with a knowing/smug smirk lining his furry face.

"Eh, something about ordering sliders?"

"Not even close. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were distracted."

"What? Nooo. Me? Distracted? Come on, Wolf. Don't be ridiculous!"

"I don't know, you seem pretty distracted to me," he smugly noted as he casually glanced over at the waitress, Lilith, behind the bar before facing his friend once more, to which Snake just groaned and sat back in his chair, while hiding behind his menu.

At his response, all four of his friends shared a knowing look and chuckled before glancing through the menus and deciding on what they'd like to order for their entrees.

After a few minutes, Lilith appeared with their drinks in tow: "Alrighty, so that's one Old Fashioned and a glass of lemon water, one Gin Fizz, one Long Island Iced Tea, one Strawberry Daiquiri, and one Penicillin. It'll be a few more minutes until your appetizers are ready, but in the meantime, are you ready to order your entrees," she inquired with a smile as she served each of them their drinks (in appropriate sized glasses, of course).

"I'm still on the fence. What would you recommend," Snake curiously asked, to which she answered:

"Well, the California Goldburger is my personal favorite as it combines the savory flavors of the beef and fried onion strips, with the sweet tang of our homemade sauce. But if you're not a burger lover, our Bayside Street Tacos are a second best choice."

"Alright, you convinced me: I'll try the burger with a side of fries, please and thank you."

"Excellent choice! Now, would you like extra sauce for your fries?"

"Sure," he answered with a smile, bringing an adorable dusting of pink to her cheeks as she met his gaze before jotting down his order.

"And for you, sir," she asked Mr. Shark, to which he answered:

"I'll have the street tacos, please."

"And I'll take the sliders with fried pickles and a side of ranch and extra house sauce," Webs added.

"Alrighty. And for you, sir," she addressed Mr. Wolf next, to which he replied:

"I'll have the same thing Snake's having."

"And I'll have what Shark's having," Piranha added.

Writing down their orders, the woman gave them a smile, "Alrighty. I'll deliver this to our kitchen staff and be back with your appetizers."

"Thank you, Lilith," Snake replied, to which she politely bowed her head and softly blushed:

"Of course. Also, I'd just like to say thank you for stopping Professor Marmalade and destroying the meteorite. That was a very good thing you did."

"Oh, uh, yea, no problem," he slightly waved it off with a smile. "Thanks for the recognition."

"You're most certainly welcome. Also, thank you all for retrieving the stolen charity money and returning it to the recipients," she addressed the others, to which they all felt a tingle of goodness at her acknowledgment.

"Well, we certainly weren't going to let that little rodent get away with stealing from children. Even we had standards when it came to our crimes," Shark commented, to which his friends all nodded in agreement.

"And I'm sure those kids greatly appreciated your help. Now, I won't take up more of your time, but if you all need anything else, just holler."

"Will do," Wolf stated as she then gathered their menus and headed off to deliver their orders.

Glancing over at their reptilian friend, the group of ex-criminals couldn't help but grin as they noticed his tail happily wagging and the still-present smile lingering on his face.

"She's quite a catch, hermano. You should totally ask her out," Piranha gently elbowed him, to which Snake snapped to attention and shook his head:

"Nope! Not gonna happen! There's no way a beautiful gal like her would want to be seen with a guy like me. Besides, she's human and I'm a snake."

"So? Most people are more open-minded nowadays. Also, she wasn't afraid of you and she seems really nice," Shark added.

"PluUus, we all saw that little blush on her cheeks when you talked to her," Webs replied with a smile lining her face before Wolf added:

"Either she's easily flustered, or you somehow charmed her with your amazing debonair skills."

Rolling his eyes, Snake picked up his glass and sipped his Penicillin while ignoring the shared grins from his friends.

-11:00 PM-

Upon clocking out and bidding her coworkers goodnight, Lilith rode the bus home and keyed in the security code of her apartment building's front door, to which she then stepped inside and trudged up three flights of stairs before finally reaching her unit.

With a tired groan, she unlocked her door and stepped inside before locking up and hanging her keys on the adjacent wall hook. Afterwards, she slipped off her shoes and retrieved her cellphone from her bag before stepping into the bathroom and selecting her playlist, to which she then set her phone upon the sink counter and stripped out of her clothes while music started to play.

Once naked, Lilith turned on the faucet and adjusted the temperature before stepping into the tub and turning on the spray. A satisfied 'hmm' emitted from her throat as warm water rolled down her fair skin and saturated her hair, bringing a soft smile to her face as she opted to just stand underneath the spray and enjoy the warmth for a few minutes before washing herself of the day's sweat and grime.

Not that she was too dirty or sweaty, but she preferred not going to bed smelling like work. That, and she liked ending her day on a clean note. Lathering up her hair with peach and jasmine shampoo, she gingerly massaged her scalp before grabbing her loofah and body soap, to which she then gently began scrubbing her skin.

As she did all this, Lilith's mind drifted towards earlier when she waited on the Bad Guys. She honestly didn't know why some people still feared them. Sure, they were predators and former criminals, but she didn't see them as scary or distrustful. Instead, she saw five individuals who were trying their best to rise above the stereotypes and make amends with the citizens of Los Angeles. Honestly, she thought they were doing a pretty good job, considering that the crime rate has dropped significantly since they served their time and turned a new leaf.

Rinsing out her hair, the young woman wondered if she'd see the ex-cons again. She hoped that she would; however, only time would tell. For now, she focused on finishing her shower by conditioning her hair and rinsing it out once more before turning off the water and grabbing a towel from the rack.

Drying herself off, Lilith stepped out of the tub and began combing out her damp hair, while taking a moment to gaze at her reflection: although her peachy pale skin was devoid of blemishes, she had several large scars along her arms that were hidden underneath her tattoos, which consisted of colorful scaly patches along on her right arm, while her left arm depicted beautiful clusters of lilies, roses, irises, and orchids.

Appearance wise, she had medium-sized breasts, a small waist, and wide hips, which gave her a pear-shaped figure. Her face was gentle and heart-shaped, with bright blue eyes, an adorable nose, and lush/full lips that were adorned with snakebite piercings, giving her a sultry (almost dangerous) look. Though her pixie cut blonde hair was damp at the moment, it would soon fluff out and return to its soft texture. At one point, her hair cascaded down the length of her back, but after escaping a rather toxic relationship and moving to LA, she decided it was time for a change.

With a sigh, Lilith set her comb aside and returned her towel to the rack before grabbing her cellphone and stepping out of the bathroom and over to her dresser, where she opened one of the drawers and retrieved a clean pair of panties, to which she slipped them on and stepped over to her kitchen to fix herself some dinner. Sure, she was basically naked apart from her underwear, but she didn't care as it was her (studio) apartment and she could do as she pleased. That, and the windows were covered, so there was no chance of anyone getting a free show.

Opting to heat up the leftover chicken fettuccine alfredo, Lilith set her phone aside and dished up her pasta and placed it inside the microwave before setting the desired time, leaving it to cook while she stepped over to her backpack to retrieve today's tips from the interior pocket. In total, she had roughly $58.97 (USD), which was pretty good for a Tuesday.

Taking said tips over to the kitchen, she opened the pantry door and reached up to the top shelf where sat a large coffee can; however, it didn't actually contain any coffee grounds, but rather, her tips. Opening the lid, Lilith smiled at seeing the large lump of cash staring back at her, to which she placed today's amount inside before sealing it and returning it atop the shelf once more.

Sure, she could just deposit her tips in the bank and add to her savings and checking accounts, but she purposefully set that money aside to use for other expenses (eg. holiday shopping, birthdays, emergency medical fees, and trips). In this way, she maintained a physical budget for herself.

Stepping into the bathroom to wash her hands, Lilith emitted a sigh as the microwave suddenly went off, signaling that her food was done. Upon returning to the kitchen area, she retrieved her alfredo and stirred it around before taking an inquisitive bite to see if it was evenly cooked. Thankfully, it was.

Sitting down at the island, she lazily began to eat her dinner while opting to scroll through her phone and sort through her emails.

Meanwhile, Mr. Snake casually sat on the couch in peaceful solitude while enjoying an orange sherbet push-pop and tuning out whatever mundane show was currently playing on TV. For some reason, he couldn't stop thinking about the waitress from earlier. He honestly didn't know why as she was just another human, except, there was something different about her. Was it her lack of fear and resentment towards him and his friends? Or was it her cheerful demeanor and personality?

Emitting a groan, he swallowed the remainder of his push-pop and turned off the TV before slithering off the couch and over to his room, hoping a good night's sleep would clear his head. Removing his trademark Hawaiian shirt and fishing hat, Snake slipped into his bed and burrowed underneath the soft covers before closing his eyes and allowing sleep to claim him.
