POV : Tanya Degurechaff

The awakening was painful for the young girl who suffered from a horrible headache following the shock received behind the neck when she defended herself against the soldiers of the Marine.

It took her a few moments before she realized she was locked up and being held, prisoner.

Her vision slowly adjusted to the darkness of the room, Tanya blinked several times so she could study the small room.

She was sitting on a metal chair that was firmly nailed to the floor. Her arms were firmly held along her body with a metal chain. Her legs were also tied to the chair legs, preventing any movement.

The soldiers had made it impossible to use the mage blade because its arms were stuck along her body, its use would injure the girl very seriously.

The body reinforcement was also completely useless because, despite the few attempts, the chain which held the young girl in captivity showed no signs of weakness or wear.

Tanya: "But what is this damn chain made of? Let me out of here! Tanya ordered authoritatively.

Guard: Shut your trap damn pirate!

Tanya was surprised at the response. "Pirate? Do I look like a fucking pirate?" Answering the voice coming from the other side of the metal door." Let me out or I swear you go on my blacklist, right below Being Y!"

No answer came to her, only a great silence which was broken by the sound of waves crashing on the walls, as well as the characteristic creaking of ships made of wood, reached her ears.

"At first glance, it would appear that these soldiers captured me the moment I was knocked unconscious by the big guy in yellow and taken into custody in the hold of a ship. Regarding this man in yellow, I still don't understand how his spells work. This is the first time I see this type of movement. It was as if his body had turned into light before ending up behind my back."

What Tanya couldn't understand was how this man managed to get through her magic shield. It was as if the shield met no resistance when the latter landed a blow behind the back of the neck.

So many questions that remained unanswered for the moment. But one thing was sure, she was no longer on Empire territory, or even in the same world.

The workings of this world must be very different from what she experienced in these two previous lifetimes.

But no matter, her objective is, and will remain the same: to prove that human beings are perfectly capable of living on their own without any entity intervening and of being able to die a natural death to prove to those false gods that she was right.

"This Marine, it must be an institution in this country or at least a fairly large body. It might be wise to try to integrate its ranks. But I don't know the place it really occupies or even its ideology. Above all, I would not want to join a communist institution that would be completely draconian…."

After taking stock of her situation, Tanya concludes that it would be wise to lay low for now and try to get as much information about this world as possible.

As if to apply the substance of her thought, Tanya decided to act as a perfect prisoner: no complaint, not a word, and a straight face preventing any misinterpretation.

The trip wasn't as long as she imagined. Only a single day had passed since her incarceration and they had surely already arrived at their destination.

The rapid footsteps of the soldiers on the bridge as well as the sound of ink being thrown into the sea confirmed Tanya in this idea.

A few minutes after the ship came to a stop, Tanya heard from the other side of the door that another man had come to join the guard outside the door.

Guard: My respects, Captain.

Ship's Captain: Any news with our soldier guest? Did she say something or try to run away?

Guard: No my Captain, except at the beginning of the trip when she asked to be released, nothing to report. There are no escape attempts to report.

In reality, he resumed, she was walled in silence and continued to have this terrifying look.

Tanya saw a head suddenly appear through the bars of the door, which very quickly took a step back when their eyes met.

"Good" resumed the captain with a slight stutter. Admiral Kizaru wants us to bring our guest to the V5 interrogation room of the HQ. Gag her eyes and take her straight to her destination on her chair. Better not to take any risks."

Guard: Yes sir.

After the captain left the ship, the sound of a key in the lock was immediately heard, followed by the opening of the cell door.

Tanya saw the soldier approaching her with a blindfold in his hands and continued to stare the soldier in the eyes who looked terrified.

Never had Tanya felt so humiliated. Once the guard placed the blindfold over her eyes, she realized that he was moving her by carrying her directly to her chair.

She felt like a piece of baggage. But we had to put up with it, the objective was to be seen well by the leaders of this organization.

The drive seemed to take forever, and although she couldn't see where she was, she knew right away that it was a military camp.

The sounds you could hear, Tanya had heard hundreds of times in her previous life. Whether it's the noise of a shovel's boots doing laps of the field, the recruit is reprimanded by his instructor because he is unable to carry out an exercise through target shooting training, which makes him a little bit nostalgic, thinking back to the formation of the 203rd Company before the conflict began to escalate.

"At least they seem to be structured and professional, that's a good start," Tanya thought. She was interrupted by the gasps of the soldier who was to escort her to her destination.

It had already been a few minutes since the soldiers seemed to be climbing a long staircase, and he must have reached his limit because he put the chair on the ground to catch his breath.

"Come on soldier, I'm not that heavy," Tanya scoffed.

Annoyed by your mocking tone, the soldier resumed his ascent as best he could and eventually arrived at their destination.

The young girl was amazed at the security of the site, several checkpoints and checkpoints had to be passed, asking and confirming the identity of the soldier and the reason for his visit to these places. It was only after passing the 5th waypoint that they finally arrived at their destination.

The guard put his package on the ground and took leave without a word and especially without removing the blindfold.

Tanya was therefore alone, in a silent and completely blind room.

POV: Chief Admiral Sengoku

Sitting behind his desk, Admiral Sengoku went through the many reports related to the incident on the Sabaody Archipelago. The arrival of the Supernovas on the archipelago, the fiasco of the auction house, the Tenryuubito victims of several attacks, Straw Hat Luffy, and this kid who came out of nowhere. As he finished reading these reports, the admiral gave the documents to the little goat that followed him everywhere so that she could swallow them. The advantage of this method is that it left no trace of the reports, thus avoiding information leaks. However, the original copies were stored in the archive room which is one of the most secure places on the base.

Sengoku rose from his chair and walked over to the large world map hanging on the wall to the right of his desk. When he was standing, the man dominated the room with his impressive build. Sengoku was a tall, muscular middle-aged man with a long black braided beard and mustache. He wore glasses and a navy admiral's suit adorned with medals. On his cap, there was a dummy seagull.

Eyeing the map, Sengoku thought back to previous events.

Fortunately, Kizaru was able to intervene before everything went wrong because the archipelago was not so far from the headquarters. Luckily, Kizaru was patrolling the area at the time. Otherwise, the Chief Admiral would have had to answer for the Marine's non-response to the World Government, which would have been a great waste of time.

The most confusing remains Kizaru's second call concerning the arrest of a little girl. At first, Sengoku had thought it was a joke in bad taste, as the explanations that had been provided by Kizaru, the curiosity of the chief admiral had taken over.

Earlier.

Denden Mushi: Poudé Poudé Poudé, Poudé Poudé Poudé, Gatcha.

Admiral Kizaru: Seengoku san?

"Yes, it's me, who is Kizaru?" Sengoku replied with a hint of annoyance in his voice, as the call had interrupted him in preparation for the transfer of the second in command of the Whitebeard crew: Portgas D. Ace.

Kizaru: Nothing very serious Sengoku saaan, I wanted to update you on events that have just taken place involving a very threatening little girl.

Sengoku: A little… Are you kidding me Kizaru, are you interrupting my reports for that?

Kizaru: Of course not Sengoku saaan, I'm serious.

Sengoku: I'm listening.

After Kizaru's explanation, Sengoku had given the order to bring the child directly to HQ to study her. She had abilities that had never been seen before. The ability to stop bullets, her ability to cut through seastone, and most importantly, the fact that she could harm a logia-type Devil Fruit user without using a fruit power or even haki.

He then decided to meet this young girl once she arrived at MarineFord.

Back to the present.

Sengoku went to the adjoining room to room V5, where Kizaru was waiting for him, who was dozing on the couch at the back of the room. He was accompanied by two other people. Vice-Admiral Monkey D. Garp as well as Admiral Aokiji. They had all gathered in this room at the request of Sengoku who wanted to get different opinions about this young girl.

Looking through the pane that separated the two rooms, Sengoku finally saw the blonde girl tied like the worst of criminals to a seastone chair.

She did not move, she remained motionless, straight as a stick.

Her face, despite the absence of the gaze due to the bandage, was closed making her rather intimidating.

The outfit she wore was quite strange, especially for a little girl, reminding him of the military uniforms of certain kingdoms that he had observed during his career.

"Okay, it's time," Sengoku resumed, glancing one last time at their guest. "Aokiji, come with me"

Aokiji, who was sitting on a chair, got up in the most nonchalant way possible and headed towards the adjoining room with his superior.

POV Tanya Degurechaff

After what seemed like an eternity, the sound of a door opening reached Tanya's ears. She heard several people enter the room, followed by the sound of a chair indicating that someone had just sat down directly in front of her.

When calm was restored, the second man who had entered the room removed the blindfold from her eyes, thus allowing Tanya to discover the room in which she was.

It was a small white room, without any particular decoration. A table separated Tanya from the man sitting across from her. The most amazing thing in this room was on the table. An oversized snail was staring intently at her. There was also a single window, but it didn't look out, but rather into a room that seemed to be adjacent to where she was.

Looking out the window Tanya immediately recognized the man in yellow whom she had faced a few hours earlier. He was accompanied this time by a rather old man, as can be seen from his white beard and the many traces of time on his face. But although he looked old, he looked in great shape and ready to beat anyone up. He gave off a kind of aura, which made Tanya realize that he could be a formidable opponent.

She understood immediately that they were watching her, or else they were waiting for the green light to intervene if necessary. Tanya will never know.

The man who had removed her blindfold took advantage of the silence to move to Tanya's right side to join the man in front of her. Both were tall, the man who took off her blindfold must have been about the same height as the man in yellow.

He wore a white suit that covered a navy blue shirt and a yellow tie and the shoulder-length coat that seems to be fashionable in this world. He also had a sort of night mask on his forehead.

His gait was rather sluggish, he didn't seem like a very energetic person, rather curious for a soldier.

The second individual was already seated opposite her, he was dressed in an all-white suit. A mauve-colored scarf went from her left shoulder to reach her hip on her right. Along with an impossibly long black goatee, he wore a cap with a seagull on it that read "Marine" on it.

What Tanya noticed about this man was the number of medals he proudly wore on his chest.

"He must be someone important," concludes Tanya, "a lot of people in the hierarchy like to strut around with their medals on them. These medals were proof of their achievement and importance in the army."

"Um um, well let's start the introductions, I introduce myself, Sengoku, I am the current Chief Admiral of the Marine. I am responsible for leading this organization to preserve peace and security throughout the world. The man behind me is called Aokiji, he holds the position of admiral."

Despite the introductions, Tanya continued to stare out the window

Sengoku: "The men you see behind me are respectively Monkey D. Garp, who holds the position of Vice Admiral, and to his left, Admiral Kizaru whom you already met a few hours ago."

A small bead of sweat appeared on Tanya's forehead. She wanted to look good with the Marine, and she attacked one of the Marine leaders. Looking for any trace of animosity in his eyes, Tanya was surprised to find that the admiral was looking at her with great curiosity as if she were a fairground animal being paraded in the village square.

"Can I know who is in front of me?" resumed Sengoku, who expected an introduction from him without even having to ask him.

Tanya: My name is Tanya Von Degurechaff Sir.

She decided not to give any more information for the moment because she didn't want them to think she was crazy if she started explaining that she was from another world.

Sengoku: Alright, nice Tanya, can you tell me where your parents are?

Tanya was happy that the Chief Admiral asked her this question because even if she did not like her body, the young girl quickly learned to use it to her advantage. She hunched her head into her shoulders, tilted her head slightly to her side, and rolled her eyes wide to make herself look as cute as possible.

Tanya: I no longer have parents, I never had the chance to know them. As long as I can remember, I have always lived in an orphanage that was quite poor. Every day was a test of survival, where you sometimes had to find your food.

To her surprise, this left the two men in front of her cold. However, she saw the old man begin to sob behind the glass.

"They seem to have a little more common sense than the others while staring at her interlocutors, or else I am in the presence of completely insensitive men".

This time, it was Admiral Aokiji who took the floor to ask where exactly she came from and what she was doing in Sabaody.

It was the question she dreaded the most, she didn't want to give information about it so as not to appear crazy.

Tanya: "In all honesty Sir, I don't know, I have very little memory of what could have happened before except what I told you earlier. I woke up on the island with the big trees with the numbers, and when I got to town I "met" Admiral Kizaru."

The two men looked at each other puzzled by this response.

Tanya: Are you okay?

Sengoku: Yes, don't worry, let's continue.

"Hum Hum" he clears his throat before continuing: "we want to ask you something about your actions earlier, Admiral Kizaru informed me that during your face-to-face with my men, you used abilities out of the ordinary, would you have consumed a devil fruit by any chance?

"A devil fruit? What is that? Is it a local expression?" A thousand questions passed through the mind of the young blonde. She didn't want to appear uneducated or even give false information by answering yes or no. "If I answer yes when eating these 'devil fruits' is illegal, I'm shooting myself in the foot. If I answer no then the answer should be yes the result will be the same."

Finally, she decided to simply ask the Admiral-in-chief about these fruits, telling him that she did not know what a devil fruit was.

Even if the answer deeply shocked them, Tanya preferred to play the card of transparency by telling herself that he could see in her an honest soldier, even if it cost her to recognize in front of someone that she did not know something...

Before anyone could speak again, a soldier knocked on the door of the interrogation room.

Sengoku: I asked that no one bother us during the interrogation!

Soldier: Sir, we have received important information regarding Whitebeard's crew.

Immediately after the soldier's announcement, Sengoku got up and walked out of the room saying simply, "Excuse me" followed closely by Admiral Aokiji, leaving Tanya alone again.

A/N : Hello everyone, thank you for following me so far. Quite a long chapter but necessary for the sequel, I don't want to give the impression of skipping steps and providing shoddy work.
