Allie was excited to meet her new grandparents and wanted to show them all around Hope Valley. William and Grace offered to watch her and Jack so Elizabeth could have some time at home the next day. Elizabeth was hesitant but her father assured her that he would come find her if anything happened or if she was needed. She said goodbye to both of the children and watched as they all walked out the door.

Elizabeth stood in the middle of the house, not sure what to do with her time alone. She had tried to keep busy with watching the children and working on figuring out who was behind everything with Nathan that she hadn't had a moment to just be. Suddenly her legs felt heavy and she grabbed the edge of the settee. She caught herself and sank to the floor. She felt the tears coming and leaned her head against the back of the settee and cried.

She cried and cried until there were no more tears. She wiped the tears from her face with the back of her hand and took a deep breath. 'That was enough,' she thought. This was not her future. She was determined that her husband was coming home to her. She stood up and walked over to her desk and got her journal and the box of newspapers her father had given her. She spread out everything on the kitchen table.

The newspapers had some of the information she already knew and some information was incorrect. It seemed like a game of telephone where some of the information got lost the further it got from Hope Valley. Elizabeth sighed and sat back in her chair. She had hoped that the newspapers would bring a breakthrough in the case. When she sat back, she saw a picture on one of the papers sticking out on a paper under the others. She pulled out the paper and gasped. She had to get to town right now.

Rosemary was sitting in Lee's office. She had started working in there on the newspaper while he worked for the lumber mill. It gave them both time to spend together even when they had to work late. He was out of the office with his crew but Rosemary sat at her desk looking at the articles she had written.

The phone started to ring on her desk and she picked it up, "Hello?"

"Rosemary, I have Elizabeth calling for you."

"Thank you Fiona, please put her through. Elizabeth, is everything ok?"

"Fine, can you meet me over at Bill's office?"

"I can. What is going on?"

"I'll explain when we get there." And Elizabeth hung up. Rosemary looked down at her phone and hung up too. She was confused but she got up from her desk. She wrote a note for Lee and left it on his desk. She moved quickly and walked out the door.

Rosemary walked over to Bill's office and arrived at the base of the stairs just as Elizabeth got there. Both of them walked in together as Bill and Gabe sitting by the desk going over papers.

"Elizabeth, Rosemary, what brings you both here today?" Bill asked.

"Bill, my father brought some newspapers from Hamilton when he came to town. I was spending the afternoon going through the articles. Some of it was correct but most of the information was wrong."

"That's not surprising, most of the specifics about the case were not publicized," Gabe said.

"I don't understand. If the articles were incorrect, why are we all here?" Rosemary asked.

Elizabeth took the newspaper she was holding and laid it down on the desk in front of all of them. Bill looked closer at the newspaper, "Well I'll be."

There was a photo on the page with a caption underneath it, 'Mr. Charles Kensington shakes hands with Superintendent Andrew Hargraves at the children's hospital charity dinner in Hamilton on Saturday. The two hosted the event which raised money for a new equipment'.

"This has to mean something, right?" Elizabeth asked.

"It may. We know that Charles is not in custody but he has a connection to Edward Morton who is in the Capital City jail as far as we know. Gabe, if you can stay here in Hope Valley I will go to the jail to see what I can find out. The two of them have to be involved. And now that we know Charles knows Hargraves, it is even more suspicious."

Elizabeth had a look of concern as Bill started to spell this all out. He walked over and put a hand on her arm. "Don't worry Elizabeth, we will figure this out. I believe that we are one step closer. You may have just found the key to bringing Nathan home."
