"Rise and shine Luke" I stirred in my bed letting out a small groan "Come on Luke get up we have to be at Aunt Deb's wedding in less than an hour and you're not even showered yet"

I was slightly hung over which wasn't good. I don't drink, but I did last night when that girl Brooke handed me those two shots. I guess I didn't want to seem like a loser so I took them; and then all night girls were buying me drinks and I figured it would have been rude not to drink them... Right?

Wrong Lucas... God damn it dude you didn't have to drink them.

But I did.

Okay so maybe my inner voice was right. I did want to drink and have a good time last night. I was out with the boys after all. Now my sister was in my room rocking me awake because I had to go to My Aunts Wedding reception.

Damn these family functions.

"Oh come on Lins let me just meet you there... I'm sure Aunt Deb won't mind. She didn't even invite us to the ceremony" I roll over onto my stomach covering my head with a pillow "Just half hour more"

"No. Now get up before I pour freezing cold water over you" She threatened. I removed the pillow from my head and looked at her opening one eye.

"You wouldn't?" I tested lifting my head.

"Want to chance it?"

I didn't want to chance it because I knew my twin too well. She would pour the water over me and not stay to help me change the bed. There was this one time when mom needed us to go out to the town centre and I was asleep. I wouldn't get up and Lindsey threatened saying she was going to pour water on me if I didn't get up and she did when I refused since then I believe her threats because I knew she wouldn't back down... She'll do it. That's for sure.

I let out a loud groan and throw the pillow at her which she dodged "Okay fine I'm up" I remove the covers from me and stand up.

"Oh god Lucas... You stink" She complained waving her hands up and down "Go shower or something. Luke you know you're not meant to be drinking"

"Oh shut it Lins" I glare at her "Now you can go, I'll meet you and Chris there. I'll drive myself"

"Okay fine, but if you're not there in an hour I swear I will come back and kick your ass to the moon" She picks up her jacket from the chair she places it on and walked out of my room "okay bye. Love you"

I just give a loud groan and force myself out of bed.

The wedding party was in full swing when I arrived. I saw Lins and her fiancé in the corner with their friends and most of my family were on the dance floor or swooning around the bride my Aunt Deb. I walked through the crowd to the bar and ordered a Jack Daniels and coke.

"Best way to get rid of a hangover Luke" I turn around and see my Bestfriend and cousin Nathan and his girlfriend Haley. I cancelled my order and ordered a coke instead. Lindsey was right I shouldn't drink.

"Nathan dude hey" We did our famous guy hand shake and I kissed Haley on the cheek "this is coke. Too much drinking last night man"

"So how you holding up... When I left you last night you were a little messed up man"

"Oh I'm okay. Nothing sleep can't fix" Nathan laughs snaking his arm around Haley's waist "Thanks for taking me home man"

"Oh it's all good. Hales looked after both of us. We did go looking for you, but you disappeared for a while"

I thought back to last night and how Brooke caught my eye when she was moving to the music on the dance floor. How her hips moved with every beat. She was a good dancer and the whole night I was memorised by her.

"Yeah sorry... I guess I was puking in the gents" I lie... Brooke was a onetime thing, but that doesn't mean I need to go around bragging about it or her. It's not like I'm going to see her again anyway "Anyway Nate I better go see your mom otherwise Lins will have my head "

Nathan laughed nodding knowing what my sister was like "Okay man. Catch you later" I nod taking my drink and going to see Aunt Deb.

"Well if it isn't my favourite Nephew" I turn around and see Aunt Deb standing behind me with a wine flute in her hand "It's about time you showed up Mr. I've been waiting for the guy to take our picture... I want one with my favourite Nephew"

"I'm your only nephew Aunt Deb" I reply giving her a quick hug.

"See that's why your my favourite Luke" I laugh at her shaking my head "Is Lindsey around anywhere. I think I saw her earlier"

"Eh..." I look around the hall and spot my sister sitting on Chris's lap in the corner with my other cousins from my Dad's side "She's over there by the back doors"

Aunt Deb turned around and glanced in Lindsey's direction before turning back to me "Ahh yes I see her" Aunt Deb poured the rest of her wine into her mouth "Well looks like I need another drink. Talk later Luke" I nod "Ta ta sweetheart" I give her a kiss on both cheeks then watch as she walks away and over to a waiter.

"Lucas darling there you are?" I hear voices talking and spot My Mom waving at me. I walk over to the table she and Dad were sat at "We heard Haley bring you to ours last night, but we had to rush out for the wedding today"

"Yeah, Nathan told me. Sorry... I forget I tell Haley to take me to yours because there's no stairs I have to walk up" Mom laughed rolling her eyes at me.

"Are you coming home with us tonight or you going to manage to get to your place?"

"I'll be fine tonight I promise" I lean in and give her a kiss on the cheek. I then turn to Dad "Hey Dad"

"Lucas hey" We do a manly hug thing then I stand back up

"How's business?"

"It's doing good. Nicki is suing her shrink for sexual harassment" My eyes widened "I'm taking the case. It shouldn't take too long actually"

"Is Nicki okay?" I ask. Nicki was once the love of my life. Well I at least thought she was, but I was wrong. So very wrong, but that is a story for another time.

"Oh yes Lucas she's fine. She called out and lady at the front desk came running in. We have the proof"

"Well if Nicki is okay that's good right"

"Of course" Dad nods taking a sip of his whisky

"Okay Dad, Mom, well I'm going to go and chill with Lindsey and them. I'll see you later yeah"

"Of course sweetheart" Mom says. I lean down and kiss her on the cheek.

"I'll let you know how the case goes Lucas"

"Okay dad thank you" I nod to him and head over to Lindsey and our friends.

I came out of the bathroom when I spotted the familiar brunette walking in with her arms linked with Peyton. The girl linked to Peyton was none other than Brooke. Who knew I'd see her again so quickly after last night.

I know Peyton because our Mom's and Aunt Lucy are bestfriends. My mum is Aunt Deb's cousin on my mom's side. I watched as Peyton said something to Brooke then walked away and in the direction of Felix her ex boyfriend. Brooke laughed and walked to the bar so after a few minutes I walk up behind her.

"Who would have known I'd see you again" I say standing behind her "Hello again Pretty girl" I remember how pretty she was last night, but damn did she look good in the dress she chose to wear today.

"Hello blue eyes" She replies as the bar guy Stuart puts her drink down in front of her.

"That'll be £3.60" He tells her.

"I'll get that and another coke" I tell Stuart, he nods taking the money from me and giving me the change.

"So friend or family?" She asks nodding to Aunt Deb who was now dancing with my now Uncle Andy.

"Family" I reply taking a sip of my drink once Stuart puts it down in front of me "And since you're not family I'm guessing friend"

"Friend of a friend" She leans back against the bar looking around the hall like she was looking for someone. Maybe she came with someone, but then again it's not like she moved or went to walk off so maybe she's here stag like me.

A few drinks and 10 shots later Brooke was sat in the corner of the hall with her head in between her legs. The redness of her cheeks told me she was drunk. I saw Peyton check on her then stumble away and back to Felix who she was kissing on all night. So I take this as my chance to maybe come in as her knight and shining hero or something like that.

"Let me take you home?" I ask her seeing her eyes travel up to meet mine.

"I don't want to go home" She mutters looking back down at the ground. It was now nearing one o'clock in the morning and the wedding party was still in full swing. The music was still playing and mostly all the guests were still partying. Aunt Deb was still on the dance floor with her husband Andy. I was getting quite tired myself, but I wasn't about to leave her at this event when Peyton was off with her ex. Call me superman, but that would be a bad idea right?

"Okay let me take you somewhere else" I suggest. I just didn't want to leave her here practically on her own.

"Like where?" She questions holding her stomach she looked like she was going to puke, but decided not to.

I thought up suggestions of where I could take her and let her stay. She obviously didn't want to go home and I wasn't going to take her there if that's not where she wanted to be. Nothing came to mind other than taking her to my place, but if I did that then I'd be letting her into my world. She doesn't know of me or my family obviously. Yeah okay she's a friend of a friend, but maybe she doesn't know about me and my family, but if I take her to my place then she'll know I'm not just Lucas Scott, but I have a little of something more to my name; I didn't really have a choice though. I couldn't take her anywhere else. So my place it is.

I close my eyes quickly before opening them again "My place?" It came out horse, but I guess she didn't notice being in a drunken state and all.

"So you can rape and kill me... No thanks blue Eyes" She rejects my offer with a crazy thought making me let out a loud roar of laughter. Her eyes met mine and I smiled down at her.

"Princess I've already had you so I'm not going to rape you nor am I going to kill you" I tell her honestly. No point lying to the girl. I had already had her and it was good. In fact it was really good and if the opportunity came up again I wouldn't say no that's for sure "You can just stay at my place tonight and I'll take you wherever you want tomorrow"

"And you're not going to kill me?" I shake my head holding out my hand "Okay Scott lead the way"

She took my hand and I led her outside to my car. I opened the door for her and she slowly climbed into the passenger seat leaning her head against the cold window closing her eyes. I got in the driver's seat beside her and took a quick glance at her before putting the key in the ignition and starting the car. Once we were on the road I looked over at her, she had passed out. I move my jacket over her to cover her from the coldness of the night.
