Author's Note: Happy New YeaR and Welcome to "Sunshine & Ice", the next story with my O.C. Kellie Corinthos (Sonny's daughter who's also Alcazar's niece and Jason's wife). A List of stories and the order to read is found in in my profile as well as Notes/Spoilers on major relationships/happenings through the stories.
This story starts off following the Ice Princess Storyline in Spring 2023 when Victor Cassadine kidnapped Spencer, Trina, Ace, and Liesl Obrecht on the Haunted Star and then Laura, Valentine, Drew, Curtis, Anna, and Holly went after them and had to stop Victor from unleashing a deadly virus on the world. The initial chapters came about while I was still writing "Dark Nights" and trying to figure out if Kellie ended up taking over Sonny's business. We'll find out what Kellie's up to in the aftermath of "Dark Nights" via the 2023 Ice Princess storyline with a surprise or two thrown in along the way. As always, if you have any questions, let me know and incorporate them in a future chapter or author's note.
Updates to the story will be once a week probably around the weekend. I've written around 75% or more of the story at this point. Updates will be steady as I finish this one up and work on the next stories.
Important Character relationships to note; Drew and Sam are still together as well as Dante and Lulu. Lorenzo Alcazar and Alexis are married. Milo and Sage Alcazar are married with three children. Kellie has four children; Three with her deceased first husband Tyler Scott, Jared and Jamie (Twins, 13), Alyssa (11); and a fourth with Jason; Kelsey (3.5-4). Also Elizabeth & Johnny O' Brien are dating as of Dark Nights. However, I'm not providing a lot of information on that in this story. I'm planning on Elizabeth and Johnny having their own story. Also The Five Families consist of Selina Wu (now head of the families); Jason Morgan, Brick, Johnny Zacharra, and an as yet unnamed member of the Giambetti family. Sonny is still around, but no longer the head of any of the mob organizations.
I don't own the GH characters, just enjoy writing for them with the OCs.

Sonny took a deep breath and knocked on the front door of Jason and Kellie's house.
Kellie looked annoyed when she saw it was Sonny and only opened the door enough to look out.
"What do you want?" Kellie asked.
"Victor Cassadine has Spencer and his little brother," Sonny said, deciding that beating around the bush was pointless.
"What?" Kellie asked in disbelief, opening the door a little wider, "As in he kidnapped them?"
"That's what we think," Sonny said, "And probably Liesel Obrecht as well."
"Damn Cassadines," Kellie said, "I knew Liesl was unaccounted for. I was already putting out feelers at Maxie's request. Does Jason know?"
"I haven't been able to reach him," Sonny said.
"He might still be in the meeting with the families tonight," Kellie said.
"I know we're not on best terms these days," Sonny said, "But we need to pool all our resources to rescue Spencer and the others. You have resources and Spencer looks up to you."
"Come inside," Kellie said, opening the door wider to let Sonny in, "I'm going to need to know everything."
Sonny entered the house and followed Kellie to the study.
"Are the kids…?" Sonny started to ask.
"All in bed for the night," Kellie said, "Now start from the beginning because I am going to guess that Anna, Valentine, and Lucy's not being dead and Anna being shot also tie to Victor Cassadine as well."
"It does," Sonny said, "Victor framed Anna for shooting Lucy. Anna and Valentin found Lucy and let everyone believe they were dead to get the advantage on Victor. I put them up in a safe house. Victor found out, shot Anna, and well I guess took hostages to help ensure his escape."
"Except Obrecht disappeared during the magic act for real," Kellie said, "That's when Victor grabbed her. That had to have been planned. He needs her for something. And Spencer and Ace he would view as heirs to the Cassadine legacy. He took them because he wants them with him. He's been angling to get Spencer closer to him since he came back to Port Charles. It's possible, he might have always been planning to leave Port Charles."
"The timeline got moved up," Sonny said, "But the question would be why. What's he planning?"
"Why did he frame Anna for Lucy's murder," Kellie asked.
"She was investigating him," Sonny said, "When the WSB granted him some immunity deal, she didn't believe he had turned a new leaf."
"She was definitely on to something," Kellie said, "Does anybody have any idea what nefarious plan he's been hatching?"
Sonny shook his head, "I mean the only thing that sticks out is he's been obsessed with the Ice Princess which he now has?"
"The Ice Princess that has something to do with him and his brother attempting to end the world or freeze it?" Kellie asked.
"That one," Sonny said.
"Has anyone considered the possibility he might be trying to finish what he and Mikkos failed to do all those years ago?" Kellie suggested.
"Freeze the world?" Sonny said, "But that failed."
"He wouldn't try again because…," Kellie replied.
"You're right. We need to consider it," Sonny said, "I'll let Felicia, Robert, and Laura know. Then we need to figure out what our next move is."
"You keep doing whatever you're with whatever resources you have," Kellie said, "Jason will do the same once he's home. I will talk to my law enforcement contacts and reach out to Scorpio. I'll call Uncle Lo and see what foundation resources we can contribute. Any leads on where Victor went or how he escaped?"
"They think he took the Haunted Star it's disappeared," Sonny said, "Tracking beacon was found on a buoy."
"So it's like tracking a ghost ship," Kellie said, "I'll reach out to NCIS to at least keep an eye out. They ought to be able to have the whole navy on high alert. I'll have my shipping company and their contacts do the same."
"What about Zach Slater?" Sonny asked, "The Haunted Star is a casino. Maybe he can find something with his people."
"I'll call him," Kellie said when Johnny O' Brien entered the room, "We're going to need all information we can find on the Cassadine holdings. That won't be easy."
"Any chance you happen to have any information given Helena was Tyler's biological grandmother," Sonny said.
"No," Kellie said, "I try to stay aware of all things Cassadine for my children's safety," Kellie said, "But since the only connection is to Helena, that part of the estate has nothing to do with my children. Valentin is probably our best bet."
"I'll talk to Valentin," Sonny said.
"If not him, Alexis," Johnny O' Brien said entering the room, "Or have Sam and Spinelli pull together everything they can find."
"Is Dev on duty tonight?" Kellie asked, "I'll need you and Francis."
"He is," Johnny replied, "He can watch the kids while I call in a couple of extra guards."
"I'm sure you could call your contacts from here," Sonny said, "And fill me and the cops in on whatever you find."
"Victor already has a head start, hostages, and some sort of diabolical plan I'm sure," Kellie said, "It's going to be more than just call people for leads. I'll have to coordinate between my foundation, my shipping company, Zach Slater, whatever law enforcement agencies I'm touch with in addition to you, Jason, the PCPD, and the WSB. Our best option for finding Spencer and everyone else is to treat this like a full-scale rescue operation."
"I see your point," Sonny said.
"Especially if we need to utilize resources," Johnny said, "I'll call Lorenzo, fill him in, and have him meet us at your self-defense studio."
"Call Slater while you're at it," Kellie said, "I'll have to handle NCIS and the other law enforcement contacts personally."
Johnny nodded and left.
"Tell Dante and Jordan if you see them before I do," Kellie said, "That if they need to cut through red tape for resources, ships, personnel, supplies to contact me. I'll have them at their disposal."
Sonny nodded, "I'm sure they'll appreciate that."
"You don't happen to have any idea how Michael and Willow are?" Kellie asked, "They have to be devastated about Liesl missing. Willow was supposed to have the bone marrow transplant tomorrow.
Sonny shook his head.
"If we don't find Liesl in time to donate her bone marrow to Willow" Kellie said, her voice cracking, "Willow's already on borrowed time as it is. I don't want Michael to have to watch her die like I watched Tyler and from the same damned disease. I can't even imagine what they're going through. At least Tyler had been able to get a transplant even if all it bought us was time. Willow might not even get that."
"I know what Michael and Willow are going through have to be bringing up a lot for you," Sonny said, "But you can't focus on that right now. The best thing we can do for them is to find Liesl along with Spencer and Ace and bring them all home safely."
"I know," Kellie said, "Alyssa will be devastated if something happens to Spencer. "
"We're not going to let that happen," Sonny said, "And afterwards Spencer will show up at your house like it's his own personal summer camp for a weekend, annoy Jared and Jamie, and find some sort of mischief with Alyssa and maybe take Kelsey along with him."
"Until Kelsey gets him dirty with mud and water," Kellie said, "Tyler and I always wished we could have done more for Spencer when he'd just randomly show up at our place in California. Helped offset some of the more sinister Cassadine influences. But it wasn't our place."
"You did what you could," Sonny said, "Gave him a place where he could just be kid when he needed it. Right now, the best thing we can do for Spencer is use all our resources to find him."
After Sonny left and extra guards showed up, Kellie, Johnny, and Francis were heading out the door as Jason got home.
"I was hoping I'd catch you before you left," Jason said, wrapping his arms around Kellie, "I heard Victor Cassadine has Spencer and his brother and maybe Obrecht?"
"it looks that way," Kellie said, "I'm going to try and coordinate all my contacts and resources to try to find them."
"I'll start checking, see what Spinelli can find," Jason said, "Where are you headed? Your studio office?"
"Yeah," Kellie said, "It's the best place for me to provide extra back up or head up a shadow rescue op while the foundation and other agencies might be stuck sifting through red tape and jurisdictions. Speaking of Spinelli, I need him to track all the Cassadine holdings if he isn't already."
"I'll have him work on that," Jason said, "Any idea why Victor took Spencer and Ace? Framed and shot Anna?"
"The only hunch I have is it has something to do with the Ice Princess," Kellie said, "Which he and Mikkos used in an attempt to freeze the world once before. Apparently, Victor's been obsessed with it and now has it."
"So he's going to try to freeze the world again?" Jason asked.
"Maybe I don't know," Kellie said, "One of my things to do is pull information on that from years ago."
"Victor was obsessed with things that Drew supposedly knew from his Navy Seal days," Jason said, "It might be a long shot, but I'll talk to Drew. Maybe he knows something that we would ask your NCIS contacts about."
"Good idea," Kellie said, "Let me know what you find out. In meantime, I'll see if maybe they can pull files on Victor Cassadine for me. If the navy had an operation related to him, that might give us a lead. Dev is guarding the kids and we called in extra guards. Thankfully, Victor has left the boys and Alyssa alone. At least they're not what he considers true Cassadines."
