The office is nearly empty. Everyone has left except for ACP Pradyuman and Abhijeet. The dim lights cast long shadows, adding to the heavy silence that fills the air. ACP sits in his cabin, pretending to read a file, but his eyes keep toward Abhijeet, who is still at his desk. The younger officer looks exhausted—his head slightly bowed, his shoulders tense, but he continues working as if trying to escape the reality of his situation.
ACP clenches his jaw, his anger still fresh, but there is also something else— A pure concern for Abhijeet. He watches as Abhijeet places a hand on his forehead for a brief moment, a sign of his growing headache.
Abhijeet, sitting at his desk, flips through an old case file, but his eyes aren't really reading. His mind is elsewhere—lost in guilt, regret, and the silent punishment ACP is giving him. He sighs heavily and leans back in his chair. He rubs his temples, feeling the exhaustion settle in. His eyes unintentionally drift toward ACP's cabin. Through the glass window, their eyes meet.
For a moment, everything else fades.
Eye Contact: Emotion Overflow
ACP's eyes hold a silent question : Kyun Abhijeet? Kyun chupaya mujhse Etna bada sach...kyun bola juth
Abhijeet's gaze is heavy with unspoken words: I'm Sorry Sir Eske alawa mai or kuch nahi kah sakta aapse...ho sake to mujhe maaf kar dena
Abhijeet quickly looks away, pretending to go back to his file. ACP, too, lowers his gaze, pretending to read, but his heart is still on Abhijeet. He stare sometime Abhijeet face and he gets lost in a memory…
Flashback Start
The soft tune of the television fills the quiet living room. An old film plays on the screen, but Abhijeet's attention is elsewhere. Wrapped in a warm shawl, he sits on the sofa, his body still weak from the recent injury that left him struggling to move freely. His eyes, however, are fixed on the kitchen.
ACP Pradyuman stands by the stove, stirring a pot with an air of exaggerated confidence. His sleeves are rolled up, his posture relaxed—too relaxed for someone who rarely steps into the kitchen.
Abhijeet (teasingly): Sir, aapko sach mein khana banana aata to hai na?...ACP raises an eyebrow, smirking as he stirs the pot a little more dramatically.
ACP Pradyuman (mock serious): Kya matlab? Tumhe kya lagta hai main yahan kitchen mein time pass kar raha hoon?
Abhijeet chuckles, shaking his head. It feels good to have a moment like this—a moment where they aren't surrounded by crime scenes, gunfire, and danger. A moment where he can just be... home.
But just as he leans back, a sharp, pained cry pierces the air.
ACP Pradyuman (in pain): Ahhh!...Abhijeet's heart lurches. His body reacts before his mind does.
Abhijeet (panicked, almost yelling): SIR!
He struggles to push himself up from the sofa. His legs are weak, his movements unsteady, but none of that matters. His pulse races as he stumbles toward the kitchen, his breath coming out in short, uneven gasps.
The moment he reaches the doorway, his eyes widen.
ACP is standing by the counter, his face contorted in pain, his right hand clutching his palm. The burn mark on his skin is turning red, the pain evident in his eyes, though he's trying to hide it. He tries to shake it off as if it's nothing.
ACP Pradyuman (softly, brushing it off): Arre, chhoti si chot hai bas…
But before he can finish, Abhijeet reaches him and grabs his hand, his own hands trembling as he looks at the burn. His breath catches in his throat.
Abhijeet (voice trembling, almost scolding): Apka hath red ho gaya hai … aur aap keh rahe hain 'chhoti si chot hai'??
His grip tightens around ACP's wrist, his fingers shaking, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.
ACP blinks. He has seen Abhijeet in pain before—wounded, bleeding, fighting to survive. But this? This is different. This isn't the look of a hardened CID officer. This is the look of a son who cannot bear to see his father hurt.
Abhijeet doesn't say another word as he firmly pulls ACP toward the dining table. His movements are urgent, his panic barely concealed. He forces ACP to sit down before rushing to grab the first aid box.
His fingers fumble with the lid, his hands trembling as he takes out the ointment.
Abhijeet (softly, voice breaking): Sir… aap itne laparwah kaise ho sakte hain? Dhyan kahan rehta hai aapka?
His voice wavers with unspoken emotions—fear, worry, and something deeper… something ACP has never seen in Abhijeet's eyes before.
As the cool ointment touches ACP's wound, he flinches slightly. Abhijeet freezes. His eyes dart up to meet ACP's, his face filled with guilt.
Abhijeet (panicking): sorry... I'm so sorry sir… bohot dard ho raha hai?
ACP doesn't answer immediately. He just stares at Abhijeet.
This man—who never lets his guard down, who fights through bullets and explosions without hesitation—is now on the verge of breaking down… all because ACP got hurt.
For the first time, ACP feels it deep in his heart. Abhijeet isn't just an officer working under him. He isn't just A junior for him...He's family.
A lump forms in ACP's throat, but he quickly swallows it down. Instead, he reaches out and places a firm, fatherly hand on Abhijeet's head.
ACP Pradyuman (softly, with deep affection): Main theek hoon, beta.
The word 'beta' makes Abhijeet's breath hitch. His gaze lowers, his shoulders tremble, and before he can stop himself, tears slip down his face.
Abhijeet (voice cracking, whispering): Sir… agar aapko kuch ho jata toh?...His tears fall silently onto ACP's hand. ACP feels something shift inside him.
For years, he had seen himself as a mentor, a guide, a leader. But at this moment, he realizes something he had been avoiding for too long.
Abhijeet is not just a CID officer. He is his emotion , his heart , his son And now ACP cannot imagine his life without him anymore. With a rare softness in his expression, ACP pulls Abhijeet into a gentle hug.
Flashback Ends – Back to the Present
The warm memory fades, replaced by the cold silence between both of them. ACP stands up, stretching slightly, as if ready to leave. But he doesn't. Instead, he walks towards window. His eyes flicker toward Abhijeet again.
Noticing the movement, Abhijeet hesitates, then stands up too. He walks toward ACP ,his footsteps slow, almost unsure. ACP doesn't move away. They stand side by side in silence.
Abhijeet stand beside him. The tension is thick, but there's something else—something softer. Abhijeet opens his mouth to speak, but words fail him. He lets out a sigh and turns slightly toward ACP, his voice barely above a whisper.
Abhijeet (softly, hesitant): Sir...
ACP doesn't look at him immediately, but there's a flicker of emotion in his face. He takes a sip of coffee, then quietly places the coffee mug on the table. Without a word, he turns and walks away, back to his cabin.
Abhijeet watches him go, he closed his eyes. ACP may not be speaking to him, but he hadn't left either. That meant something.
Back in his cabin, ACP sits down, but instead of picking up the file, he just rests his hand on it, staring at nothing in particular. His mind is still with him, still thinking about the man he once called his Son. his gaze would drift towards the open door leading to Abhijeet's desk. He couldn't leave—he couldn't bear to just walk away from Abhijeet, despite the rift between them. The truth was, a part of him still cared deeply for the man who had once been like a son to him. But his ego wouldn't let him show it.
Abhijeet, again sitting at his desk, is trying to focus on his work, but the pain in his head is becoming unbearable. He rubs his temples, his vision blurring.
Abhijeet (to himself, whispering): Ye achanak sir mai dard kyun ho raha hai.. but he pushed through, attempting to distract himself with files and paperwork. His vision blurred again, the ache in his head only growing worse with each passing minute.
He leaned back in his chair for a brief moment, massaging his forehead, but even the slightest movement seemed to make the pain sharper. He took a deep breath, determined to finish the work at hand.
ACP, who has been quietly observing Abhijeet from his desk, notices the moment. His gaze sharpens. their gazes met—Abhijeet's tired, pained eyes meeting ACP's unreadable expression. For a split second, there was something in the air between them. The connection they once shared, the care they had for each other, was still there, but buried under layers of hurt and misunderstanding.
ACP Pradyuman (Pov): Lagta hai esne fir aaj ki dawai miss kar di ... Huhhh mujhe kya ...eska vo baap to hai hi vo rakhega eska dhyan mai kyun karun eski fikar...huhhh
The moment passed, and Abhijeet looked away, trying to push the emotions aside, but the throbbing pain in his head made it hard to concentrate.
At this time ACP Pradyuman stood up from his desk, He walked towards his favourite officer...here Abhijeet tried to continue working, but the pain in his head intensified. His hands trembled as he reached for a file, the effort making him dizzy.
ACP rushes toward Abhijeet.
ACP (concerned): Abhijeettt...the concern was evident in ACP's eyes, his voice though he didn't show it.
Abhijeet blinks rapidly, trying to shake off the dizziness, but his vision continues to blur. He stumbles again and almost falls, but ACP reaches him just in time, grabbing his arm firmly to prevent him from collapsing.
ACP (gripping his arm, his voice laced with concern): Abhii Aram se ... Tum thik ho
Abhijeet, still dazed, tries to push him away, not wanting to show any vulnerability. He forces a weak smile, trying to downplay the situation.
Abhijeet (half-smiling, trying to steady himself): Kuch nahi sir, I'm fine
ACP looks at him closely, not convinced. He studies Abhijeet's pale face and the way he's struggling to stand. ACP steps forward, his expression softening as he sees through Abhijeet's face.
ACP Pradyuman (in a cold tone): Abhijeet... ghar jao.
Abhijeet's heart skipped a beat at the command. It wasn't harsh, but the weight of it was clear. ACP was telling him to leave, but there was a softness beneath the command that Abhijeet couldn't ignore.
Abhijeet (weakly, in a strained voice): Mujhe kaam karna hai sir... bas thoda aur...ACP's face hardens for a second, the anger returning briefly, but seeing the pain in Abhijeet's eyes, his expression softens again.
He walked over to Abhijeet's desk, his expression unreadable. He placed a hand gently on Abhijeet's shoulder, his touch firm but caring, as he tried to guide him out.
ACP Pradyuman (with authority, yet tenderness): Tumhare kaam se zyada tumhara health zaroori hai. Tum ghar jao... Kaam hota rahega
Abhijeet, his voice barely a whisper, felt the weight of his words settle in his heart. ACP Pradyuman, despite his anger, still cared for him. The realization hit him harder than any words could. But Abhijeet wasn't ready to accept it yet. He wasn't ready to leave without doing what he thought was right.
Abhijeet (gently, with a pained smile): Sir... mujhe aaj ki file complete karni hai...
ACP Pradyuman's face softened, though his expression remained controlled. Without saying another word, he motioned for Abhijeet to stand up. There was no anger, only concern—an unspoken love, a love that still burned even in the coldest moments between them.
ACP Pradyuman (softly, almost to himself): Chalo Mere Sath Mai Ghar jaa raha hun raste mai hi tumhe bhi chod dunga.
Abhijeet blinked, his heart pounding at the words. He wanted to protest, to argue that he could drive himself, but the pain in his head and the exhaustion in his body made him hesitate. He couldn't deny the care in ACP's actions, the silent gesture that showed how much he still meant to him.
Without further words, ACP Pradyuman guided Abhijeet out of his seat and towards the door. He didn't speak another word, but his actions spoke volumes.
As they sat in the car ACP Pradyuman, though quiet, His eyes remain fixed on the road, but his mind is clouded with thoughts of Abhijeet—his betrayal and his truth. He wanted to say more, but his ego held him back.
Beside him, Abhijeet sits quietly, his body slumped against the seat. He looks exhausted—not just physically, but emotionally drained. He knows ACP is angry, hurt even, but he can't leave things like this. He gathers the courage to speak, his voice low, hesitant.
Abhijeet (softly, almost pleading): Sir… main jaanta hoon aap mujhse naraaz hain. Aapko lagta hai maine aapse jhooth bola, aapko dhokha diya… lekin ye sach nahi hai sir
ACP's grip on the wheel tightens. His jaw clenches. He remains silent, his face unreadable. Abhijeet closed his eyes and continues.
Abhijeet (more desperate now): Haan, yeh sach hai ki Commissioner Sahab ne mujhe adopt kiya tha… lekin—
Before he can finish, ACP cuts him off sharply.
ACP Pradyuman (coldly, without looking at him): Abhijeet, mujhe tumhari kahani sunne mein koi dilchaspi nahi hai… aur na hi ab mera tumse koi lena dena hai...His words land like a slap. Abhijeet flinches.
ACP Pradyuman (harshly, his voice rising slightly): esliye chupchap yahan Shanti se baitho
Abhijeet stares at him, searching for even a care and cancern of the bond they once shared. He refuses to give up.
Abhijeet (softly, almost breaking): Sir, ek baar bas sun lijiye, please…ACP suddenly slams his hand on the dashboard.
ACP Pradyuman (louder, sharper): Kaha na, bakwaas band karo apni! Mujhe nahi sunna kuch...Abhijeet freezes, He shivered badly...ACP's voice drops into a deadly quiet tone.
ACP Pradyuman (warning, low voice): Agar ek aur shabd bola, toh main khud Commissioner Sahab se jakar tumhare complain kar dunga
Abhijeet's breath catches in his throat. A sudden fear grips him—not for himself, but for what the Commissioner might do.
Abhijeet (pov, swallowing his pain): Nahi us bhairav tak ye baat nahi pahunchi chahiye… mujhe chup rahna hoga...vese bhi agar sir sach sunn na hi nahi chahte, toh kya fayda...ACP sir insab se durr hi rahe to hi acha hai ...took a painful deep breaths...mujhe akele sab handle karna hoga...He shuts his eyes and leans back, trying to bury his emotions.
A Few Minutes Later
The car moves steadily, the tension still thick in the air. ACP keeps his gaze locked on the road, his expression rigid. Suddenly, a weak, trembling voice breaks the silence.
Abhijeet (barely audible, voice shaking): Sir… main… (He takes a deep breath, struggling to gather his words) Sir… mujhe maa se milna hai
ACP shocked anger visible on his face...he grips the steering wheel tighter. A flicker of hurt and anger passes through his eyes, but he masks it quickly.
ACP Pradyuman (Silent Tone): Koi jarurat nahi hai ... tum Ghar jakar aaram karo
Abhijeet looked at him with almost teary eyes. He takes a deep breath, his voice cracking as he speaks again.
Abhijeet (softly, almost broken): Sir… bas ek baar… sirf ek baar aap mujhe maa se milne do
ACP remains silent, his gaze unflinching on the road. He pressed his lips , his mind battling between his emotions and his principles.
Abhijeet (pleading tone ): Sir plss...aaj ke baad Mai wada karta hun kabhi aapke ghar nahi aaunga... aaj aakhiri baar plss ACP looked at him.
ACP's fingers tighten around the steering wheel, his muscles tensing. He doesn't answer. His silence is louder than words.
Abhijeet (sad tone) : thik hai sir ager aap nahi chahte to koi baat nahi...
Still, ACP remains silent. His expression unreadable. He exhales heavily, his eyes momentarily closing as if trying to control his emotion.
Another long silence. The sound of the engine hums through the air, filling the space between them.
Abhijeet, broken and exhausted, lowers his head, his breath uneven. He wipes his face quickly, trying to regain control over himself. But his pain is evident. The man who never bends is now pleading—begging—for one last connection.
ACP finally turns his head slightly. Their eyes meet for a fraction of a second. Abhijeet's eyes carry a silent plea—one filled with longing, pain, and a desperate need for closure. A heavy sigh escapes him, as if battling with himself. His fingers loosen grip on the wheel. His breathing slows.
He sees the pain, the desperation, the silent cry for acceptance. He grips the steering wheel, his mind screaming at him to stay firm. But deep inside, he knows—he can't ignore this. Not anymore.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, ACP exhales deeply, his voice quiet, but firm.
ACP Pradyuman (without looking at Abhijeet): thik hai lekin…(He pauses, then adds) aakhiri baar eske baad tum kabhi nandini se nahi miloge...
Abhijeet's breath hitches. His lips part slightly, but no words come out. He doesn't argue. He doesn't plead anymore. He simply nods.
Without another word, ACP turns the car around. The car changes direction. ACP still doesn't look at him, but the silence between them is no longer cold—it carries something else now. A fragile, unspoken understanding.
As they approach ACP's house, Abhijeet's hands tighten into fists on his lap. His heart pounds. This could be the last time he steps inside that home—the place he once thought of as his own.
The car stops.
ACP Pradyuman (coldly): Chalo
Abhijeet swallows hard and nods, stepping out of the car. His legs feel heavy as he follows ACP toward the house.
Inside, Nandini is sitting the dining table. She looks up as she hears footsteps and freezes when she sees Abhijeet.
Nandini (softly, almost whispering): Abhijeet...Abhijeet's eyes fill with unshed tears.
Abhijeet (choked voice): Maa…Before ACP can react, Nandini rushes to him, cupping his face in her hands.
Nandini (Worried like hell): Abhi kya hai ye sab beta...tum kahin Jaa rahe ho kya...tumhara saman kahan le gye ye log...tum to yahan rahne wale the naa...Abhijeet lowers his gaze, guilt washing over him. He gently holds her hands.
Abhijeet (heavy tone): Maa... main...His voice breaks. He doesn't know what to say. He just wants to hold onto this moment.
ACP watches silently, his expression blank. But deep inside, something cracks. He clenches his fists, struggling with his emotions. Nandini turns to ACP, her eyes filled with unshed tears.
Nandini (sternly): Jarur aapne hi kuch kiya hoga ... Boliye kya kaha aapne mere bachhe ko... Uska saman kyun bhejwaya aapne.. ACP looked at her then Abhijeet... And took a deep breaths
ACP Pradyuman (chewing): Ye tumhara beta nahi hai nandini...ese beta kahna band karo
A stunned silence fills the room.
Nandini (shocked): Kya matlab ACP just look away...Nandini shakes her head, frustrated with her husband's stubbornness. She turns back to Abhijeet, gently touching his cheek.
Nandini : Abhi tu bata kya hua hai...dekh mai bata de rahi hun tu kahin nahi jayega...Mera bachha yahin rahega mere sath Abhijeet swallows hard. His throat burns. He can't lie anymore, but the truth is heavier than he can bear. A single tear escapes his eye. He wipes it away harshly and hugged her tightly
Abhijeet (remaining hug): Maa... (Closed his eyes) Shyd mera or aapka sath yahin tak tha ...Nandini stunned...She grips his shoulders, pulling back. She takes a step back, shaking her head in disbelief. Her world crumbles in an instant.
Nandini (in anger) : Kya bole jaa raha hai ...tu kahin nahi jaa raha samjha... Yahin rahega mere sath... Or ager (to ACP) aapko mere bachhe se koi dikkt hai naa to abhi bata dijiye...kyunki mai to eske bina nahi rahne wali...jahan mera beta hoga wahin uski maa bhi rahege ACP and Abhijeet hell shocked
Abhijeet's lips part to answer, but before he can, ACP speaks up.
ACP Pradyuman (loudly): Pagal mat bano nandini...tumhare esi laad pyar ka fayda uthaya hai es ladke ne... Abhijeet looked down...(Hate tone) humare pyar, emotions ka najayj fayda uthya , hume dhokha diya hai esne Nandini shakes her head, tears slipping down her cheeks...(Chewing) tum jante hun kya kiya hai esne ...
Nandini (cut immediately, in fear): Nahi mujhe kuch nahi sunna...aap juth bol rahe hai sab...she hold his son hand chal abhi tu mere sath chal..she tried to keep away his son form ACP.
Abhijeet's heart sinks, but he doesn't argue. He looks at Nandini, trying to memorize her warmth, her love—something he has longed for all these days.
ACP Pradyuman (chewing): Nandini Mere baat suno... Hold his arm roughly Abhijeet shant kyun khade ho batao nandini ko... Batao use ki tum anath nahi ho ... commisioner bhairav ke bete ho tum...batao mere biwi ko Sach...Nandini stops mid-step. A shudder runs through her. She turns, her face frozen in shock.
Nandini (stunned): kya...kya...kaha aapne...abhi... Abhijeet ...anath nahi hai... ACP rush towards nandini and hold her shoulder softly
ACP Pradyuman (teary tone): Dhokha diya hai esne hume...ye koi anath nahi hai nandini...juth bola hai esne humse... Humare emotions ka majak udaya hai esne ...ye anath nahi hai balki commissioner sahab ka beta hai...Nandini stands frozen, tears brimming in her eyes. She looks at Abhijeet, her voice trembling with anger and heartbreak.
Abhijeet (Looked down): Maa vo but suddenly nandini come slap him hardly...Abhijeet's eyes are shut tight. His heart is tearing apart.
Nandini (While crying): Etna bada juth... Kyun abhi kyun kiya tumne ye... Bolo mai to tumhe Bina kisi shart , bina kisi sach ya juth ke pyar karte thi naa (shouted) fir kyun bola tumne juth... kyun Diya mujhe dhokha ...bolo abhi
ACP looked towards Abhijeet... seeing his teary face his heart crack into so many pieces...he control his tear and turned his face other side.
Abhijeet (low tone): I'm sorry maa
Nandini (Teary tone): Tumhare sorry bolne se kya ho jayega abhi... Mujhe mera beta wapas mil jayega kya... Abhijeet stares at her, his face blank—emotionless. But inside, something shatters. He clenches his fists, his nails digging into his palms...tumne mere eklote bete ko bhi mujhse chin liya...main eske liye tumhe kabhi maaf nahi karungi...kabhi nahi ... Abhijeet looked at her. With blank emotions... He closed his eyes tightly...
(Loudly) Ek bete ko bhagwan ne mujhse china hai or ek to tumne mujhse chin liya... Abhijeet eyes widen in shock. He takes a small step back...he just control himself... Kyun kiya tumne Abhijeet aisa bolo kyun kiya Abhijeet feels his chest tighten. The words hit him harder than a bullet. His breathing turns uneven, but he forces himself to stand still, to not let it break him.
Abhijeet (Lost tone): Kuch nahi kiya maine...sab juth hai sab...sab...maine nahi kiya...he continues murmure
He keeps murmuring, shaking his head as if trying to convince himself. Nandini watches him helplessly, her pain and anger mixing into one. But before she can say another word, Abhijeet turns. And then—he runs. He just starts running. Away from everything. Away from the truth. Away from the only home he ever had.
Heavy rain starts pouring, soaking him as he sprints through the streets, his sobs lost in the thunder. Some Old memories were running through his mind...
Abhijeet stumbles, his legs giving way. He falls to the ground, Tears mix with the rain, but he doesn't wipe them away. He just sits there, broken.
After what feels like hours, he reaches his house. The door creaks open as Abhijeet stumbles inside. His clothes are drenched, his body trembling from the cold and exhaustion. His breaths are uneven.
But the worst part? His eyes.
Red. Swollen. Empty.
He walks in like a ghost—a man who has lost everything. Every step echoes in the silent room. But the silence isn't empty. It's suffocating.
Memories surround him. The laughter that once filled this place… the warmth… now gone. His vision blurs as he grips the table for support. His legs barely hold him up.
And then—
A voice... A familiar voice.
Commissioner Bhairav (softly, with concern): Abhijeet…
Abhijeet froze. His grip on the table tightened. For a moment, he didn't move, didn't turn—he didn't want to. But he didn't need to. He knew that voice. Slowly, he lifted his gaze, and there he was—Commissioner Bhairav, standing at the entrance, who eyes filled with concern.
Commissioner Bhairav (stepping forward): beta, tum theek ho?
The word beta hit Abhijeet like a knife. His jaw clenched, his hands curled into fists. A bitter chuckle escaped his lips as he finally turned, his eyes blazing with pain and anger.
Abhijeet (harshly): Kyun aaye ho aap yahan? Kya dekhna chahte ho? Mera yeh haal? Dekh liya na? Ab chale jayea… wapas (loudly) chale jaiye Meri zindagi se bhi… aur meri yaadon se bhi... Bhairav's face fell. He took another step, but Abhijeet moved back, shaking his head.
Abhijeet (voice breaking): Mere pass bhi mat aana Commissioner Sahab.
Bhairav's throat tightened. He could see the pain in Abhijeet's eyes.
Bhairav (softly): Mai yahan tumhare liye aaya hun or tum es tarah baat kar rahe ho mujhse... (Caring tone) jese hi mujhe pata chala ye log tumhe kis tarah treat karte hai to mai bhagte hua yahan aa gaya or tum ho ki mujhse naraj ho rahe ho
Abhijeet (furious): Mai jese bhi tha bahut khush tha yahan...acp sahab , team sab log bahut ache hai aap ne aakar sab kharab kar diya...ek baar fir aapne mere khusi mujhse chin li...His voice cracked, his body trembling with emotions he had held back for too long...(Warn tone) lekin ek baat yaad rakhiye sir mai ab or aapko apna sab kuch barbaad nahi karne dunga yaad rakhna mere ye baat
The rain lashed against the windows, the storm outside nothing compared to the storm between them.
Commissioner bhairav (stern tone): Abhijeet tum hosh Mai nahi ho...abhi apne room mai jao kal baat karta hun mai tumse
Abhijeet (stepping closer, voice shaking): hosh Mai to main ab aaya hun sir... Or mai janta hun aap yahan jarur kisi maksad se aaye hain or ager ye maksad mere team or mere ACP sir ko nuksaan pahunchane ka hua naa to yaad rakhna mai sab kuch bhol jaunga... Sab kuch... And he run towards his room
Commissioner bhairav (chewing): Jiska dar tha wahi hua... Ek mahina nahi hua ese yahan aaye or Ye ladka juban chalana bhi Sikh Gaya... Ager shuruaat aise hai to anjaam kya ho ga... Tabhi mai nahi chahta tha ye kabhi bahar ki duniya dekhe... Cid jese team ka hissa bane.
(punching the wall) Ese to mai dekh hi lunga... Pahele mujhe us ACP ko maja chakhana hoga... Uske karan ye Esme mujhse ladne ki himmat aaye hai... (Evil tone) Jitni insult aaj es Abhijeet ne mere ki hai utni ab us ACP ki hogi vo bhi pure team ke saamne... And he smile
ACP Home
Nandini sits on the couch, lost in thought, her face pale and exhausted.ACP Pradyuman stands near the window.
ACP Pradyuman (deep sigh, firm tone): Maine pahele hi tumse kaha tha Abhijeet ko apna beta manne ki galti mat karo ab dekh liya tumne uska anjaam Nandini remains silent. She doesn't even look at him. ACP turns around, watching her closely. His voice softens, but the bitterness remains.
ACP Pradyuman (shaking his head, a mix of anger and hurt): Mai pahele din se sahi tha nandini ... Abhijeet naa to Cid ke layak hai or naaa hi tumhare pyar ke...usne Cid Mai entry apne baap ke dam par li or yahan humare ghar mai tumhare bewkoofi ke karan... Tum uski mamta mai etni andhi kese ho gye nandini ki tumhe uska juth bhi nahi dikha...
Nandini lets out a small, sad chuckle.
ACP Pradyuman (frowning, irritated): Ab tum has kyun rhi ho...Nandini finally looks up, her eyes filled with unshed tears.
Nandini (softly, but with deep meaning): Kitni aasani se keh diya aapne ki sirf maine Abhijeet ko pyaar diya… sirf maine usse apna beta maana...ACP averts his gaze, his hands tightening into fists.
Nandini (watching him closely, with a knowing smile): Sach toh yeh hai, ACP sahab… ki aapne bhi use apna beta maana tha. Usse pyaar kiya tha. Uski har chhoti-badi baat ka khayal rakha tha. Bhale hi Uski galtiyon pe apne use daanta tha, lekin dil se aapne use humesha chaha...ACP hide his eyes.
ACP Pradyuman (straight tone, denying): Nahi juth hai ye sab...Maine kabhi usse apna beta nahi maana...Nandini's smile deepens, but this time, it's filled with pain.
Nandini (shaking her head): Jhooth bol rahe hain aap, ACP sahab...ACP just looked away.
Nandini (softly, yet piercingly): Agar aapne kabhi Abhijeet ko apna beta nahi mana to aaj itna gussa kyun ? Itna dukh kyun ho raha hai aapko ye jaankar ki vo anath nahi hai...ACP remains silent. His fists unclench slightly, his eyes flickering with hidden pain.
Nandini (gently, but firmly): Sach to yeh hai, ACP sahab… aapko Abhijeet se koi problem nahi hai. Aapko bas problem es baat se hai ki Abhijeet kisi aur ka beta hai… jabki aap use apna beta maan chuke the aur ab aap use apne dil se nikal nahi paa rahe hai...ACP closes his eyes for a brief moment...he know, She is right.
ACP Pradyuman (heavy tone): Kya fark padhta hai nandini ab kabhi kuch pahele jesa nahi ho sakta...sab khatam ho chuka hai...Nandini straightens, her voice stronger now.
Nandini (strong tone): kuch khatam nahi hua ACP sahab ...Abhijeet aaj bhi sirf humara beta hai vo humara bachha hai ACP stunned
ACP Pradyuman (Confused) : Kya Matlab
Nandini : Matlab yeh ki main apne Abhi ko jaanti hoon. Uske bina kahe hi samajh jaati hoon ki uske mann mein kya chal raha hai. Aur aaj, maine uski aankhon mein dard dekha. Bahut gehra dard… jaise uske dil mein koi bada raaz chhupa ho. Koi sach, jo koi nahi janta.
ACP Pradyuman (Frustrated): aisa kuch nahi hai tum bekar hi soch rahi hun
Nandini (strong tone) : Maa hun mai uski mujhse behtar koi nahi smjh sakta use...jarur kuch baat hai jo shyad aap bhi nahi jante...koi bahut bada sach...ACP turns away, but stops mid-step as Nandini's voice reaches him again.
Nandini (soft, but powerful reminder): Aap hi to kahte the naa acp sahab Abhijeet mai bahut bachpana hai ...vo Cid ke liye abhi bachha hai ...to aapko lagta hai vo masoom Etna bada juth bolega humse aisa bhi to ho sakta hai koi misunderstanding hui ho ... aapne ne pucha Abhijeet se... Sawal kiya usse... acp looked at her ...(Desperate tone) kya Abhijeet ne kuch kaha aapse...kuch btaya usne...kuch to bola hoga naa vo aapse kya...kaha usne
ACP remains silent. His mind races. Memories of Abhijeet's pleading face, his broken voice, his desperate cries flash before his eyes.
He Remembers...
Sir ek baar mere baat sun lijiye...plss
Sir aap bina mere baat sune mujhe mujrim nahi bana sakte aapko mere side bhi janne hogi...
Sir mujhe aapko pura sach batana hai... commissioner sahab mere...then he himself interrupt him
ACP Pradyuman (pov): Abhijeet mujhe kuch batana chahta tha lekin , kya...his thoughts disturbed listing nandini voice...
Nandini (lost tone): Kuch to hai ACP sahab jo aap se chutt gaya hai esse pahele der ho jaye sambhal lijiye saab kuch...Aapko yaad hai Abhijeet ne ek din bola tha ki vo bahut akela hai usne kabhi maa baap ka pyar nahi paya...or...
ACP Pradyuman (dreamy tone): Or Vo humesha humare sath rahna chahta hai and he lost into his memories
Flashback Start
A dim lamp cast a warm glow in Abhijeet's room. He sat on the bed, his head resting against the headboard, eyes shut tightly as a dull pain throbbed in his temples. His body still felt weak from the illness, but the ache in his heart was far heavier.
The door creaked open, and a familiar voice broke the silence.
ACP Pradyuman (softly, yet firm): Kya hua Abhijeet sir mai dard hai
Abhijeet opened his eyes slowly. The pain in his head made it hard to focus, but he still managed a faint smile.
Abhijeet (weakly): kuch khas nahi hai sir mai thik hai Acp nodded disappointment. He stepped inside, his sharp gaze softening for a moment. Without another word, he sat beside Abhijeet and placed a firm yet gentle hand on his forehead.
ACP Pradyuman (gently): Kabhi kabhi apna dukh bata diya karo. Sab kuch akela mat jhela karo.
Before Abhijeet could answer, ACP shifted closer, making him sit properly. Then, with the utmost care, he began massaging Abhijeet's temples, his fingers applying just the right pressure.
Abhijeet let out a slow breath, feeling the pain ease under ACP's touch. His eyes fluttered shut, his body instinctively relaxing.
Abhijeet (hesitation): Sir plss mai thik hun.
ACP didn't answer . His hands continued their soothing motion, fingers moving from Abhijeet's temples to the back of his head, gently kneading away the tension.
ACP Pradyuman (warn tone): chupchap lete raho hilna mat...
A wave of warmth washed over Abhijeet. No one had ever taken care of him like this. Not just like a senior… but like a father.
Slowly, his body leaned forward, his head resting against ACP's chest. For a moment, ACP stiffened, but then his arms instinctively wrapped around Abhijeet, holding him close.
ACP Pradyuman (softly, placing a hand on his back): Ab to nahi ho raha dard...Abhijeet didn't reply. He just snuggled deeper into the embrace, letting the warmth and comfort wash over him. His hands slightly clutched ACP's shirt, as if afraid he might disappear.
Abhijeet (muffled voice, eyes closing): Aap kahin mat jana plss
ACP's grip tightened ever so slightly. He sighed, resting his chin lightly on Abhijeet's head.
ACP Pradyuman (whispering, with a faint smile): kahin nahi jaa raha mai... tumhare pass hi hun and he kissed his temple.
Now Abhijeet lay in bed, his head resting against ACP Pradyuman's chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. ACP's hand gently ran through Abhijeet's hair, a rare and unspoken gesture of love.
Abhijeet closed his eyes, his throat tightening. He had always been strong, but right now, wrapped in this warmth, he felt like a child who had finally found his home.
Abhijeet (softly, hesitant): Thank you sir ...aaj tak mai ek baap ke pyar se anjaan tha aaj vo bhi mil gaya...
ACP's fingers momentarily paused before continuing their soothing motion.
Abhijeet (voice thick with emotion): Kash aap mujhe pahele mil gye hote ...to shyd mai kabhi anath nahi hota
ACP exhaled deeply, his grip tightening slightly around Abhijeet's shoulder.
ACP Pradyuman (softly, yet firm): Abhijeet mere or nandini ke hote hua kabhi khud ko akela mat smjhna ...mai kabhi tumhe humse durr nahi Jane dunga
Abhijeet felt his chest tighten. His whole life, he had been alone—no one to call his own, no one to call him beta. But today… today was different.
Just then,Nandini entered, carrying a tray of food. She paused at the doorway, her heart melting at the sight before her. She had always seen ACP as a strict man, but today, he was just a father holding onto his son.
She walked in slowly, setting the tray on the bedside table.
Nandini (softly, smiling): Bas baatein hi karte rahoge, ya kuch khaoge bhi? Chalo utho ab...Abhijeet snuggled closer, burying his face in ACP's chest, seeking warmth, seeking comfort—something he had never truly known.
Nandini (caring tone): Utho beta kha lo kuch...Abhijeet didn't move. Instead, he hugged ACP even tighter, pressing his face against his chest, as if afraid to let go.
ACP Pradyuman (lovingly): Uth jao beta khana nahi khaoge to kamjor ho jaoge and he kissed his hair with so much love...his grip tightening slightly around Abhijeet.
Abhijeet (muffled, soft voice): bas thodi der aur…ACP sighed, his hand still resting protectively on Abhijeet's head.
ACP Pradyuman (gently): Pahele khana kha lo fir so Jana mai koun sa bhaga jaa raha hun
Nandini sat beside them, placing the tray down. She reached out and gently ran her fingers through Abhijeet's hair.
Nandini (affectionately): abhi mere bachhe..
Abhijeet lifted his face slightly, his eyes filled with emotions he struggled to voice.
Abhijeet (choked voice): Maa…Nandini's breath hitched. That word—maa—coming from him felt like a blessing. She cupped his face lovingly,
Nandini (affectionately): aaj apne bachhe ko mai apne hatho se khilaoungi
She picked up a piece of roti, dipped it into the warm dal, and held it out for him. Abhijeet hesitated...
Abhijeet (whispering): Main khud khaa
Nandini (Fake anger): Kyun mai apne bete ko nahi khila sakti...
Abhijeet Smile with nod...He leaned forward slightly, taking the bite from her hand. The food tasted different tonight—not because of the spices, but because it was filled with love.
He looked at ACP, who simply sat there, watching him with pure love.
Abhijeet (softly, pleadingly): Sir… thank you mujhe yahan lane ke liye...ager aap mujhe yahan nahi laate to mai ye sab miss kar deta. Yahan aakar mujhe maa baap ke pyar ka matlab pata chala hai vo pyar jiske liye mai zindge bhar tadpa hun.
Silence filled the room for a moment. Then, ACP sighed, pulling Abhijeet a little closer, his voice barely above a whisper.
ACP Pradyuman (Moist tone): Es pyar par sirf tumhara haq hai...or ab ye pyar tumhe har roz milne wala hai...Abhijeet let out a small, teary chuckle.
Abhijeet (smiling softly): Ager aisa hai to mai ab kabhi aapko chodkar nahi Jane wala...aapko humesha mujhe jhelna padega...ACP smile widely ,gently patting his head.
Flashback End
ACP Pradyuman (pov): Kahin Nandini sahi to nahi... Mere bachha kisi musibat mai hua to...mujhe uski baten sun lene chahiye thi...ACP takes a deep breath. The battle between his ego and his love for Abhijeet still rages, but now—he can feel the walls breaking.
