The third instalment of the Jack Arnold Fanfic Universe. Alas, Jack's efforts were in vain. Or were they? Regardless, it still falls to our brave hero to undo the Ascension Project and save the Multiverse. But what is lying in wait for him at the end of his journey?

Chapter 1

Seven Heroes

As I looked around myself and wondered where Alvis, Kingprotea and Atalante had gone, I then saw a dark portal open. Walking through it was a boy with spiky brown hair and blue eyes accompanied by a white-feathered duck wearing a blue wizard hat and a blue sailor outfit and a dog with black fur and droopy ears wearing an orange hat, a green turtleneck jumper, white gloves, a sleeveless black combat vest, yellow trousers and brown boots. "I told you, we shouldn't have escaped Radiant Garden when we did, Goofy.", the duck said. "Gawrsh, you know we needed to escape in order to find help with resisting the Convergence. You should know that as well as I, Donald.", the dog said. "Come on guys, the crux of the matter is that we're now far from home and we need to find out where we are now.", the brown-haired boy said. Turning his attention to me, the boy said, "Um, hi. My name is Sora. We've been trying to find a way to stop YHVH and the Convergence and we're now here. Do you know where we are?". "Yeah. This is the Space Colony ARK. Still, to think that you managed to find your way here even after I used Chaos Control to escape from Aionios. Incidentally, who are your friends?", I said. "Oh, where are our manners? I'm Donald Duck.", the duck said. "And I'm Goofy.", the dog said. "Wait, from the Disney films?", I asked. "I don't know what they are but I think so.", Sora said. "Aw yeah! This is happening!", I said, experiencing the greatest nerdgasm known to man. "I'm…sorry?", Sora asked. "Sorry, it's just I've always been a big fan of Disney ever since I was a kid.", I said, still full of glee. "Anyway, what is Chaos Control?", Goofy asked. "Well, it's when someone uses the Chaos Emeralds to distort time and space, allowing someone to teleport to any place or time they want. I used it to escape Aionios before it became covered in strange elemental energy.", I said. Suddenly, the trio before me promptly disappeared. "Weird.", I said.

Travelling to the core of the colony, I noticed that a strange trapdoor had opened. Walking over to it, I saw that it was covered in dark energy. "Strange. Last I checked, the only dark being in the colony was me.", I said. Suddenly, I felt a violent surge of red electricity burst forth from my body. Tapping into my hatred, I screamed with rage, dispersing the electricity and removing the energy covering the trapdoor, allowing me to descend into the colony's depths. As I did, I saw a strange vision of Olga-Marie talking to the Crypters, saying, "You know as well as I do that Jack must awaken and rule over all of reality as the Sovereign. I am counting on you to force him should he continue to refuse.", Olga-Marie said whilst looking at a dark flame in her hand. "Don't worry. We'll ensure he awakens…eventually.", Pepe said as the vision faded, changing to another vision of myself facing against twelve strange heroes, all of them covered by a nauseously bright aura. As that vision faded as well, I then found myself in a strange mechanical chamber. Walking forward, I saw several strange computers all displaying distorted displays. Suddenly they came to life, forming a hologram of a man who looked a lot like Eggman but older. "My name is Gerald Robotnik, creator of the Ultimate Life Form, Shadow. I have collaborated with my previous accomplice Black Doom as well as the Divine Dragon Queen Lumera to empower a young man and give him the ability to unleash the power of the Azure Grimoire which shall allow him to bring Aionios to a new golden age.", the hologram said before vanishing. Continuing on, I then came to a chamber with 12 mechanical coffins. "So where in the colony am I now?", I thought as the coffins whirred to life and opened. As the coffins activated, I noticed that they were adorned with strange symbols- one with a sword, one with a bow, one with a lance, one with a horse, one with a magic wand, one with a skull, one with a beast's head, one with scales, one with the Moon, one with two theatrical masks, one with a star and one with a fiery smiling face. "Huh?", I asked as strange fluid splashed on the floor before it mysteriously evaporated. To my great surprise, I then saw Geralt, Madoka, Mai, Frederick, Harry, Ezio, Logan, Sonic, Futaba, Goku, Barry and a strange man with brown hair, brown eyes, a red mechanical left arm and a metallic horn embedded in his left temple wearing an eyepatch over his right eye and khaki combat fatigues come out. "Kept you waiting, huh?", the man with the metallic horn asked. "Wait, I thought you were on Aionios!", I said. "Actually, those weren't us specifically. Those were actually our Phantom Ruby copies. Sorry if we deceived you.", Mai said. "Regardless, my name is Big Boss, but you can me Snake, Venom Snake.", the man with the metallic horn said.

After a brief silence, Geralt said, "So, I guess you're wondering why we're here on the ARK rather than on Aionios. Well, that's because we are the 13 Servants- I am a Saber, Madoka is an Archer, Mai is a Lancer, Frederick is a Rider, Harry is a Caster, Ezio is an Assassin, Logan is a Berserker, Sonic is a Ruler, Futaba is a Moon Cancer, Goku is an Alter Ego, Barry is a Foreigner, Snake is a Pretender and you are an Avenger.". "But why does Aionian legend only record the presence of seven heroes?", I asked. "Well, when we were summoned to Aionios, we were roped by Yasuhiro into participating in the Aionios Waxing Moon Ritual, the purpose of it being to generate energy to destroy YHVH and the Ascension Project once and for all. Due to it being so against what YHVH set out to do, he distorted the ritual and, before you came, instead changed the legend to focus on a set of seven Class Heroes- the Hero of the Paladin, the Hero of the Warrior, the Hero of the Dragoon, the Hero of the Monk, the Hero of the Bard, the Hero of the Ninja and the Hero of the Sage, all of them having a connection to the world of Hydaelyn that the twisted legend drew from.", Futaba said. "Of course, the only way to reliably generate the energy needed was for us 13 Heroic Spirits to fight but we couldn't really bring ourselves to fight, foolishly believing that there was a better way to save the Multiverse. Since Aionios is a core part of the Ascension Project, destroying it would destroy both YHVH and the Ascension Project at the same time. Incidentally, YHVH due to his lack of standing in the Throne of Heroes was forced to use Aionios as his vessel.", Snake said. "By the way, where are we?", Madoka asked. "To be honest, I don't really know. After I used Chaos Control to warp the colony away, I found that it had entered a strange red void.", I said. "No, you couldn't have.", Barry said. "What do you mean?", I asked. "When you used Chaos Control, did you do it with just the Chaos Emeralds?", Ezio asked. "Well, I also used the Master Emerald and the Avenger Relic.", I said. "Seems you overpowered the colony and sent it into the Crimson Depths, a place that exists outside the Multiverse itself and where time and space have no meaning. Not even YHVH has power here.", Goku said. "Wait, are you saying I did good by warping the colony out of YHVH's sphere of influence?", I asked before I saw a strange blinding light fill the room. As it faded, I saw that Geralt, Madoka, Mai, Frederick, Harry, Ezio, Logan, Sonic, Futaba, Goku, Barry and Snake had mysteriously disappeared. "Weird.", I said before I looked around the chamber again.

Walking over to a strange room, I saw a mysterious CRT TV appear. Sitting down on the couch facing the TV, I then saw the screen flicker to life and depict what was unmistakably the song "My Lullaby" from The Lion King II. Oddly, however, I saw that Kovu had been replaced by me and the other lions had been replaced- Zira by Tomoe, Nuka by Dantes, Vitani by Draco and with Shuten, Kiyohime, Tamamo, Musashi, Artoria, EMIYA, Cu, Medusa, Medea, Kojiro, Heracles, Gilgamesh, Medb, Ushiwakamaru and many others replacing the other lions. Then, I saw the very room distort around me. "What's happening now?", I asked. As I saw a smoky black pall of smoke appear, Black Doom then appeared before me. "You can't keep running. Come back to us. Embrace your true nature. After all, you are the Sovereign and not Yuito.", he said before suddenly disappearing. Suddenly, I saw a vision of CHALDEAS itself leaking black and dark red energy, the miniature Earth in its centre glowing an ominous red. "You think this'll be enough to force Jack to become Sovereign?", Gordes asked. "It'll have to be. By the way, good idea using Gloom to corrupt CHALDEAS's copy of Earth.", Ganondorf said. The scene then changed to a burning battlefield with a black and dark red sword in the middle spewing out dark energy in droves. Strangely, it was also covered in a red glitchy aura. As the vision faded, I then found myself back on the observation deck. Looking into the red void, I then watched as the void disappeared. Noticing that the sky itself had changed to a black void with stars, I then looked at the sphere in front of the colony. As the elemental energy disappeared, I saw a cyan sky and highly distorted landscapes. "Just what happened to Aionios?", I thought. Also, I noticed that there were strange high-tech cities on the Moon orbiting Aionios. Suddenly, I felt a chill down my spine, as if Aionios was beckoning me to come down. In response, I summoned Gram and cut a dark red portal, walking through it.
