OLLIVANDER'S WAND SHOP BURNS DOWN
By Rita Skeeter
LONDON
Ollivander's Wands in Diagon Alley burned down today. While reports from the scene suggest little damage was done to nearby buildings, it is too early to tell if the fire has been completely contained.
"The fire started in the basement," said Thilgor Stout, head of the Diagon Alley Volunteer Hydromancer Brigade. "It must have been intense, because it quickly spread upward to the main store. I'm just glad nobody was hurt."
"We managed to save most of our stock," said Garrick Ollivander Jr., the current proprietor.
When asked what was kept in that area of the building, he said it was his late father's collection of rare and exotic wands. "They're all ashes, now."
Ollivander's wands has been a mainstay of the British magical community for generations. While there is a Hogsmeade location, witches and wizards needing wands may have to seek other providers.

Rita,
Excellent work as always.
Can you add a few lines about the recent fire at Borgin and Burkes? I don't know if they're related, but we should mention it. I know they're surly, but it would be good to have a quote from them.
Have there been other strange fires lately? I seem to recall something about them. Please add one or two lines if true.
I'm sending you an advance for your next article. Thanks for thinking of us! Sincerely, L.L.
