It's been a crazy day for Mitsuha, first she's arriving at her new "property" in the isekai world, then she met with two and then another fictional character. Her Mitsuha senses are ticking as she knows that Mile girl probably knows more than what she is comfortable with, even though she knows that as much for Kaoru. Then, there's the princess she needs to look out for, to avoid any problems down the road.
"Is this gate… permanent?" Mitsuha looks around the bear bear gate, the user interface seems to register her as Mitsuha, she suspects there is basic identity recognition for it to work, meaning it has a database and possibly knows of things that she didn't.
(Ding!)
The sound of the elevator.
Yuna appears soon after, she doesn't seem very happy to see Mitsuha is around.
"Hi Mitsuha, apparently we had a problem."
(Explaining.)
"Huh, strange monsters and another… me?"
"Now there's loot boxes in my world. God knows what they are for." Yuna looked up, expecting the email which she never received so far from God. "No updates, yikes."
"That sounds interesting but also very troublesome…" Mitsuha gives Yuna a thumbs up. "Good luck?"
"Don't you dare good luck on me! Remind me who brings me to your world?!"
"Nooooooooooo…"
Yuna pulls Mitsuha into the portal, the two girls disappear soon after.
"...just so we're clear, your Mitsuha has an eye patch?"
"Yes, she's smiling a lot too, her aura gives people a sense of stranger danger.
"Well, wouldn't you look at that, that's our Mitsuha."
"Hey, I'm not a commodity." Mitsuha arrives at the bear bear house, the girls are preparing their gear while also chatting. "...so who's that other me?"
"She uhm…"
"Hi hi~ My name is also Mitsuha Yamano~" it's a girl exactly the same as Mitsuha, her black eye patch covers her left eye and for some reason her hands are tied up with ropes. "Please help release me from the barbarians."
"She tries to leave again." Miles coughed.
"Just to be sure, she isn't our Mitsuha cosplaying as a pirate." Kaoru looks closely to one another. "Seems legit…"
"Uhm, can you two not tie up another me? I feel rather unsafe all the sudden…" Mitsuha does her X hand pose.
"Right." Yuna calms everyone down by walking towards tied up Mitsuha. "For convenience purposes, you are Mitsuha 2 now."
"...Hah?!" Mitsuha 2 couldn't believe it. "I saved Fran's world and your world, and this is how I'm treated?!"
"All you did was teleport me to Yuna's world." Fran raises her hand politely. "Not sure if you did anything about… my world?"
"Hey Fran…" Teacher whispers. "She called in that witch to help you before, maybe she meant that."
"...really?"
"I don't know… if she did anything good or bad." Teacher shakes its head. "Her influences are prominent for sure."
"Hey another me." Mitsuha feels strange meeting with herself. "Why is your eye…"
"Multiverse secrets~" Mitsuha 2 smiles radiantly, as fake as she seems, her stare doesn't change. "Obviously there are things I cannot tell you."
"Is this the reason why you two tied her up…" Mitsuha gets both nods from Mile and Kaoru. "Hey, Yuna's world is in a crisis, we can't afford to keep secrets at this point!"
"Well well well, the interdimensional evil god is attracted to the protagonists; Mitsuha's job is to keep the balance of all isekai protagonists as well as saving the ones incapable of defending itself completely."
"Wait, you're saying I can't defend my own world?" Yuna finds it hard to believe.
"You can but for some reason you went missing, I have to found another replacement hence Fran and Teacher are here."
"Hey hey hey, don't look at me like that." Mitsuha quickly felt the uneasy judgement from everyone else. "I'm innocent, I was trying to send them home that's all!"
"How do you explain the gacha boxes…" Mile couldn't make up any explanations for the current crisis. "The monsters are getting aggro still too."
"..."
"..."
"Multiverse… secret."
((No no no no no, she definitely didn't know anything about it.)) Everyone thought the same when Mitsuha 2's shaky voice exposes it all.
"Can you at least untie me first?"
