Chapter Two: The Rescue Mission,

Big Trouble in Little China Part 2

I just knew things were going to go downhill at this point as Gracie Law came into the restaurant. With her running her mouth and bickering with Jack the whole time as she explained that the Lord's of Death were not on an official mission they were just getting new blood into their brothel. I listened as they came up with a plan to get Miao Yin free from the brothel that she was being held in. The best Idea was for Jack to pose as a customer and buy her from the brothel which I knew would fail but it was a safer plan than storming the building.

I stayed in the car with most of the others as Jack dressed as a nerdy middle management business worker for the operation. I did not laugh at the act I knew that he would need to put on since the situation was too serious for such levity right now. I waited in the car as the rain came pouring down while there was nothing I could do to help out in this situation. Gracie Law wasted no time when she noticed her press friend that wanted to make her big break as a reporter.

It was a good thirty minutes before the storm raging overhead grew more intense and I knew that the three storms had arrived on site to take Miao Yin away to become the bride of there master Lo Pan. I scrambled out of the car with everyone else as we rushed into the building to try and get both Miao Yin and Jack out of there. We were fighting against the flow of bodies as the girls and their clients were trying to escape from the three storms who had ripped the roof of the building off as they came into to fulfill their objective. I kept my cool as I made my way through the crowd heading out of the building. We did not have a chance to stop the abduction of Miao Yin before the three storms retreated out of the area leaving us without a trail to follow for the time being.

After that debacle we went back to Gracie Law's apartment office combo in order to regroup and make a new plan for getting Wang's fiancé back from Lo Pan. With her observations we were able to figure out that Miao Yin was most likely being kept at the Wing Kong Exchange. After I was able to get another shower, even though it did not help with my stink I did fell a little refreshed while the others discussed their infiltration plan. I knew the basics of the plan from the movie and decided to act as back up along with Eddie for when Jack and Wang were captured.

Waiting outside was more than a little nerve wracking while the two main character went into the lion's den of Lo Pan's base. I chose to wait outside the vehicle in order to spare the others waiting my stench from the drawback I had taken that would not go away until I left this world. I already knew what to expect inside and waited until the others got too antsy and decided to go in after Jack and Wang. I already knew that this was going to be a mess since the supporting cast were going to get caught as they went in, and I needed to decide if I was going to go into the Wing Kong Exchange with them or not. If I went with them I would get to help save the girls inside and meet Egg Shen sooner. Once I met the old sorcerer I would have another choice to make as I could kill him to escape this world but that still felt wrong to me. I did not pay attention to the time as it slipped by since I was still thinking on what I should do about leaving this world.

My thoughts were interrupted by the three people in the car getting too worried and hopping out to head into the building. I did not think on it as I instinctively followed the group into the building because it beat waiting on my own. As we entered Gracie started to hype up her journalist friend to the security guards manning the front desk. I rolled my eyes behind her back and mouthed an apology to them for the hassle she was causing as I felt bad for them having worked security in my past life. It was a few minutes before the man I knew to be Thunder of the Three Storms came and guided our motley crew back into the elevator trap. I knew there was no way for me to safely escape from the Wing Kong Exchange with outdoor following the plot of the movie now. I kept my mouth shut as we walked to the services elevator while Thunder started to puff on his cigar and even though I knew that this was a trap because I had not done anything to avoid this plot line I was set on going through this mess with the rest of the supporting characters.

It was not long before we were in the elevator, and I went into the back corner where I wedged myself in place to keep from falling over when we were gassed and knocked unconscious. It was not long before the gas overtook all of us in the elevator with the exception of Thunder. It was when I woke up to being dropped and landing on my back as my head smacked into the floor. With that disturbance waking me from my drug induced sleep I knew this was going to be a long night and day tomorrow. My head was sore from smacking the ground along with the aftereffects of the gas that had knocked me out. Knowing what is coming did not help me much as my head was pounding as I slowly rose to my feet checking over my person to find if I had my knife on which I did along with my new gun. Which I was surprised to find that was still tucked into my waistband something I had not expected to still be armed with the gun as it could be taken from me while I would always be able to find my CP backed knife. With my check of my weapons finished I slowly rose to my feet and followed along behind Wang out of the room filled with skeletons as Jack distracted Thunder.

I went to the right of the door while Wang and Eddie Lee went to the left of the door where they could slam the door shut once Jack made it out of the room. I tried to grab Jack as he rolled by on the wooden wheelchair, but he slipped past me, but I wasted no time in pulling my gun to shoot the downed foes as I was not going to let them keep too many forces if I could help it. After Jack had recovered from his trip down the slope to regroup with the rest of us we went to free the girls. I hid at the back of the group while keeping an eye out for anyone pursuing us, but none were on our heels just yet. Once we were close to where the girls were being kept Wang peered ahead before turning back to us with his shotgun in hand.

We quickly came up with a plan for Jack to climb over the side of the bridge and climb along underneath before he climbed up on the other side of the cage and freed all of the girls there. While Jack did that Wang used his shotgun to threaten Eddie distracting the guards as I covered them from afar and watched our backs. I listened to Wang yelling as I kept my eyes and ears open for trouble as the two advanced towards the no opening cage as the two female guards came out to handle them. I watched as one of the guards use some smoke from the end of her staff to distract and disorient Eddie and Wang. When one of the guards got behind Wang I fired off my handgun from the hip which took the woman in the back and put her down out of the battle. With their back clear Wang and Eddie were able to take out the other female guard and move into the cages as Jack freed the imprisoned girls. I fired over my shoulder to distract the people pursuing us as I did not want to even look back as I knew that we were being followed from what I remembered from the movie. Chasing after the girls gave me nothing to better to do except continuing to fire back behind me to try and keep the goons chasing us from getting too close to us.

Once we arrived at the cistern I was behind the group and encouraged those before me to jump into the water, which I did without pausing myself. I was ahead of Jack and was roughly pulled up to the surface by Gracie Law as she sought out Jack. I simply shook her off and told her that he was behind me, and we needed to move. I was the first one up the ladder into the storage room outside the elevator that led down to the levels of hell. Jack came up behind me and went towards the door out towards the exit while I looked around trying to find another way out. When I could not find a way out I turned and saw all the girls taking cover hiding away from the fighting about to start as the door was being broken down.

I took cover behind a stack of goods so that I could shoot the attackers without presenting myself as much of a target. When Jack opened fire I did as well taking pot shots that hit our opponents causing them to fall and not rise up again. Due to my infinite ammo I was able to keep shooting after Jack stopped but when the Wing Kong got into melee range with Wang. After Wang had finished knocking g out the rest of the Wing Kong who were attacking us we gathered the girls up and started making our way out of the building. As our group neared the lobby Jack and Wang were at the front making a plan to get the former prisoners out safely. The plan was pretty simple Jack would distract the guards as Wang and I would lead the way out to open up the doors of Egg Shen's tour bus and loaded the girls in as quickly as possible.

I helped the newly freed girls by nearly tossing them up into the tour bus. With the flow of freed women finished I climbed into the bus just behind the driver seat where Egg Shen was already posted. Wang had called Jack to hurry up as he jumped onto the bus himself. With that bit of encouragement Jack came racing out of the Wing Kong Exchange like a bat out of hell with a squad of guards armed with AK47s right behind him. Everyone on the bus took cover as Jack jumped on while the squad opened fire upon us. Egg managed to get the bus into gear as the windows of the bus were shot out and sent glass raining down upon us.

As Egg managed to drive off while remaining ducked down the mood inside the bus was mixed to say the least. The newly liberated girls were happy at the thought of their freedom but Wang and those of us with a connection to Gracie Law were a bit down as both she and Miao Yin remained behind in Lo Pan's clutches with both women having green eyes Egg Shen was not super thrilled himself. I knew what we would need to do next and was not looking forward to the trip back into the Wing Kong Exchange through the underground passages as it would not help with my stink but would get me closer to being free from it.
