Chapter Six: Into A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Star Wars Movie Compilation Part 1
Jedi Temple, Coruscant: 7940 CRC / 37 BBY
My first year of this new life was rather unpleasant as my senses were equal to that of my new baby body with the power of a Jedi Knight. The world I was born into did not use blasters for their main military but slugthrowers which is how I came to the attention of the Jedi. My new mother was carrying me through the market when I heard a loud bang and instinctively shielded the pair of us from the sound saving my mother from the round that was headed her way gaining Jedi Master Fay's attention. Master Fey is an unusual Jedi in that the elfin appearing blonde woman carried no lightsaber although she had carried one when she was a padawan and even a knight. My perfect memory started to show its power at this time even if I was stuck with the memories of my birth by allowing me to remember what the Jedi told my new mother.
Master Fey cautioned my mother about the danger of if I were left untrained in the use of the force given my strength in the mystical power at such a young age. I used my limited infant senses to listen in on the conversation as it was the only thing I could do at the time. As we were living in poverty it did not surprise me when my mother quickly agreed that I would need to be trained and asked that I be taken away as soon as possible for my own safety. I was unsure if that was the truth as my mother's life would no doubt be better without me in it. The trip to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant took about a week during which I proved to Master Fey to be a quite infant. Once at the capital of the Galactic Republic Master Fey took me straight to the medical center where I was given a full medical exam. I was less than pleased with the process even though I know that it was necessary to get my immunizations. They used needless injections to give me the medication that I needed for being out in the wider galaxy.
After my medical exam I was taken to the nursery and left with the other infant force users until I would be sorted into an initiate clan. While I was resting in the nursery Master Fey left the planet because she could not stand the feeling of stagnation that prevailed throughout this system. I was only in the nursery a few years learning through stories that our minders told us while looking out for us. When I became a Jedi Initiate I was sent into the Thranta Clan to learn the basics that I needed to become a Jedi. I quickly learned the layout of the Jedi Temple as it was my home now, at least the areas that Initiates were allowed to roam freely in our little free time.
One of the first lessons I was taught was all about the Jedi code which focused on the way a Jedi should live, which was displayed in a simple mantra. "There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force." While we all learned the full-length mantra for the code we normally recited a shortened version to keep things simpler. "Emotion, yet peace. Ignorance, yet knowledge. Passion, yet serenity. Chaos, yet harmony. Death, yet the Force." After learning the code we began studying the three pillars that a Jedi is supposed to live by the Force, knowledge, and self-discipline.
Living in the Jedi Temple amongst the Thranta clan was an experience as we trained, ate, slept, meditated and even on occasion bathed together. Being constantly in a mixed species, race, and gender group quickly killed any shame I had before being reborn into this universe. It also told me just how much time I had in order to achieve the rank of a Jedi Padawan or be sent to one of the service corps that served the needs of the Jedi Order. Following common sense made me certain that there was little chance for the Jedi order to keep us in a mixed sex housing when we went through puberty.
A normal day for the clan started with rising at five in the morning with physical exercise to train our bodies. We followed that up with bathing and individual meditation to prepare us for our other lessons. After our bathing and meditation we broke our fast and went to our lessons on the Force under Grand Master Yoda who ended each lesson with a round of group meditation based on the lesson he had just given us. After Yoda dismissed us we were sent to his fellow Goblin Yaddle who taught history and politics before also leading us through another round of group meditation in order to make certain that the lesson stuck with us. Then we were released for a midday meal together before we went to our afternoon lessons that focused on everything that normal children our age would be learning in school along with lightsaber combat and the basics of piloting. After our lessons the instructor would lead us through another round of group meditation to ensure we would understand everything we learned that day. After that final round of group meditation we were released to do as we pleased until curfew came even though it was still early afternoon at that time.
During our free time there were punishment details for those who misbehaved along with supplemental lessons who sought them out. During my free time I would further my studies on the technology of this universe or practice my lightsaber forms in order to perfect my defensive form. One other thing I would do each day during my free time normally just before my evening meal was to do some solo meditation in order to try and retain my sanity as I found that I was losing touch with people around me even though I now remember everything. It was during this free time meditation that I came to the realization of where my in-universe items were, they would come to me as I progressed through my time here meaning I will likely find myself on Naboo for the Battle of Naboo.
Another thing that I decided on during my personal meditation was the Code that I would live my life by when I was no longer under the eyes of the Jedi Order. "Through my desires, I show my emotions. Through my passions, I gain knowledge. Through my wisdom, I learn strength. Through harmony, I achieve peace. Through serenity, I find balance. The Force is my guide." I knew that I had to keep this code a secret as the Jedi and the Sith would both find my Code disgusting for different reasons. The Jedi would see it as too accepting of emotions, while the Sith would think of it as too passive.
After my meditation I would meet up with my clan mates for our evening meal together. We would discuss our afternoon together as we ate the bland gruel that passed as food for we Initiates. After our meal we would head back to our dorm and work on our own personal projects before meditating together to make certain that we are still able to easily coexist together in close quarters. My clan consisted of a Togruta male named Kubo Vash, a pair of pink Twi'lek twin sisters named Uojes'minaf and Uogug'minaf, A Zabrak male named Xadag, a Cathar Female named Samis Li, a Mirialan female named Dininni Bansell, a Zeltron female named Safras Vaaravann, a Mikkian named Vem Val, and a Natuolan male named Lothi Ma. We spent enough time around each other that we became close friends and enjoy training together and I made sure to train them in my defensive fighting style whenever they met up with me during our free time.
Samis was the most aggressive of the clan while also being the most agile and focused on form IV Ataru as she constantly jumped and bounced around her opponent. Safras Vaaravann was a bit more patient and practiced form VI Niman the newest and jack of all trades but master of none form. The twins Uojes'minaf and Uogug'minaf practiced form V Shien and Djem So to compliment each other with Uojes'minaf using Shien to protect from long range and Uogug'minaf using Djem So for close range although each sister still knew the others form for safety. Dininni Bansell studied form II Makashi as she desired to defeat others in combat and thought little of blasters. Vem Val specialized in form III Soresu as they felt that blasters were the biggest threat to a Jedi and defending against them was what would keep a Jedi alive longest. The rest of our clan were focused on things other than lightsaber combat as such utilized form I Shii-Cho the oldest and most basic of all the forms meant as an entry into lightsaber combat.
After a decade of living and studying together I have finally gotten used to my clan always being around even if there is still some competition amongst ourselves. The twins are shameless as any Twi'lek with Safras following suit in not bothering to wear much as long as they are in the dorm room. Kubo, Lothi, and Xadag were the same way almost never wearing a shirt unless told to by a master or knight. Dininni is the opposite and always tries to conceal herself from the eyes of others inside her long robes which is probably why she tries to end fights so quickly with her Makashi. Vem, Sammis and I seemed to be the only normal ones of our clan who were satisfied wearing the normal robes around without complaint. I am the most technologically inclined of our clan and tried to teach the basics of that to the others, which they refused to care about because they felt that was work for droids not Jedi.
Tomorrow would be the first step towards moving on from being Jedi Initiates as we were going to be starting on the Gathering. We would be under Padawan Bant Eerin a Mon Calamari female and Grand Master Yoda on Ilum. It is the first step to or rise to become Jedi Padawans and Bant Eerin's first step towards becoming a Jedi Knight.

For those wondering the mentioned Jedi Initiates are being made up wholly from my imagination for the time being while the mentioned Jedi Padawan is an actual character from Star Wars cannon. The next chapter will focus on the events of the Gathering and might involve the construction of the MC's actual lightsaber with an appearance of a character that is voiced by David Tennant.
