Sorry that it's been awhile. Holidays were nuts this year! Now I know why January doesn't include any holidays. We all need a break from them all. Anyway, hope you enjoy what I've come up with here.
I'm having mixed emotions in regards to the newer version of the Paw Patrol. I'm not a huge fan of the new style of it. But I do love that they're including Liberty more often in it. Guess it is what it is.
I do not own Paw Patrol, nor do I own its characters.
Also, there's an important message at the end that you must read.
Scene 7: Winnie Winnington is driving with Roostario and a sea otter while the Ruff Ruff Pack drive pass her
Winnie: "Oh, I can't wait to show all those other pups what a champion really looks like, Roostario. Once they meet my sweet Olivia, they'll just hand the prize over to us!"
Ruff Ruff Pack drives pass her.
Dwyane: "I don't know, Hubcab. That one pup is going to be tough to beat."
Hubcab: "Oh please, I'm not going to let that Pit Bull win against me… I mean us!"
Dwyane: "Pit Bull? I was talking about that Rottweiler. She's a guard dog who trained at an academy."
Gasscet: "Dwyane, you do know that Rottweiler is really a…"
They stop in front of Winnie's van.
Habcab: "Hey, lady! Get out of our way! Future Claw Control members here!"
Winnie: "I don't think so. If any pup's going to win those tryouts today, it's going to be my Olivia."
Winnie shows them Olivia the sea otter in the passenger seat.
Gasset: "Um lady, the tryouts are for pups. Not sea otters."
Winnie: "Sea otter children are called pups. So I'm sure that Olivia is qualified for these events. And no pup is more capable of winning than her."
Unknown to them, someone is watching from afar.
Gasset: "What makes your sea otter better than us?"
Winnie: "Ha! If she has to compete against pups like you, she'll win for sure."
She laughs as she drives away.
After a few moments, they hear a loud barking sound. Winnie stops her van quickly, but it slides out of control and hits a street light. Olivia is so scared that she runs out and disappears.
Winnie: "Olivia, no! Oh, how can you win if you don't show up?"
Scene 8: Emmy and Eddie are at Mr. Porter's cafe
Eddie: "Too bad we aren't allowed to eat those goodies at Town Hall before the Tryouts begin."
Emmy: "Hey, do you think that there's leftover sweets in that cafe?"
Eddie: "Shouldn't we wait to ask permission before we take anything from there?"
Emmy: "Just a few pieces won't hurt."
Both kids go inside, someone from afar watches.
Inside, Emmy and Eddie find a plate filled with cookie.
Emmy: "Yummy, look at all these cookies!"
Eddie: "I don't know, Emmy. I think we should leave these alone. Mr. Porter wouldn't like someone taking something without asking."
Emmy: "Come on. A few cookies wouldn't hurt."
Emmy takes a cookie. But gets barked at.
Emmy: "What was that?"
Eddie: "Sounds like a big, scary pup."
Emmy: "Let's get out of here!"
Kids run out. Emmy is repeatedly barked at. She's so scared that she runs up a tree and gets stuck.
Eddie: "Emmy, you okay?"
Emmy: "Eddie, I don't think I can get down! Help! Help!"
Scene 9: Ruff Ruff Pack stops at beach, where Captain Turbit is watching new born sea turtles hatching
Captain Turbit: "Since I got a little time to spare before the events, I have enough time to enjoy these flipper friends take their first steps into the bay."
Ruff Ruff Pack motorcycles pass Turbit.
Gasset: "Can you believe that lady, saying that we don't have what it takes to win the Claw Control Tryouts?"
Dwayne: "I don't know, Gasset. Her otter looks like a champion. It won't be easy to win against her."
Hubcab: "Oh please, we're better than some sea otter or any other pup competing. Once we show them our skills, they'll just pronounce us winners for sure!"
Captain Turbit: "Excuse me, Ruff Ruffs. But would you mind not motoring so close to these baby sea turtles. You might scare them away from the water."
Hubcab: "Hey, we're riding here! So let us do what we want. Come on Ruff Ruffs!"
All Ruff Ruff Pack: "Ruff Ruff Pack! Ruff Ruff Pack!"
The pack makes circles around the sea turtles. The little sea turtles hide fearfully in their shells. Seeing this, a hidden figure barks at the pups. Dwayne is so scared that he stops, making Hubcab fly out and onto a nearby boat. Gasset's motorcycle crashes into the lifeguard post.
Gasset: "Who barked at us?"
Dwayne: "Whoever it was, they have a really loud bark." He shivers.
Hubcab's boat drifts off to sea.
Hubcab: "Hey, someone get me out of here? Dwayne, Gasset, do something!"
Dwayne and Gasset watch with worry.
Dwayne: "Oh no, Gasset! What should we do?"
Gasset: "If I could, I would do a trick where I ride my cycle to the boat and steer him back here. But my cycle's busted thanks to whoever barked at us."
Captain Turbit: "I think we need to yelp for help!"
He takes out his phone and calls the Paw Patrol.
Scene 10: Jessie plays with the pups at the Lookout
Jessie: "This here is how we have fun back home."
Jessie takes out her lasso and swings it around in circles above her.
Skye: "That's really talented, Jessie."
Zuma: "Where did you learn how to do that awesome trick?"
Jessie: "I like competin' in all sorts of rodeos and lasso showin' is a part of them."
Marshall: "Wow, what other tricks do you do at a rodeo?"
Jessie: "Oh, there are so much now. Horse shoein', cattle rustlin', pie eatin', barrel racin' and sheep herdin'. But lassoin' is my specialty."
She ropes a treat and swings it over to Rubble.
Rubble: "Neat trick." He eats the treat. "And tasty treat."
Every pup laughs.
Rocky shows up. But is timid around Jessie.
Marshall: "Hey, Rocky. You've got to see Jessie's lassoing trick! It's really cool."
Rocky: "Um, maybe later. I… Still got things to do."
Chase: "Like what?"
Rocky: "Like… Organizing my pup house!" He runs off into his pup house.
Every pup looks at each other in confusion.
Inside the Lookout, Ryder gets a call from Winnie Winnington.
Ryder: "Hello Winnie."
Winnie: "Slider, I need the Saw Sonar's help with finding my sweet sea otter, Olivia!"
Ryder: "Oh no, what happened?"
Winnie: "Some loud pup barked at us while I was driving and made me crash into this light. Olivia was so scared that she ran out and now I can't find her. Please, you've got to help me find her! How will she compete in the Claw Control Contest if she doesn't show up?"
Ryder gets another call from Cassie.
Cassie: "Ryder, my kids and I were heading towards Mr. Porter's Café. But they got way ahead of me and encountered a big, scary pup."
Eddie: "And it chased Emmy into a tree and now she can't get down."
Captain Turbit calls.
Captain: "Ryder, calamity at the Bay!"
Dwayne: "A pup barked at us Ruff Ruffs and got Hubcab on a boat that's floating towards the ocean."
Gasset: "They wrecked our cycles too! So now we can't get to him."
Ryder: "So, a big pup barked and scared all of you? It's going to be tough handling three rescues at once. But we're on it. No barking pup is too big, and no other pup on the Paw Patrol is too small!" He calls the pups. "Pups, to the Lookout!"
Pups: "Ryder needs us!"
Rocky gets out of his pup house. But attempts to avoid Jessie, which causes him to crash into Marshall.
Rocky: "Sorry, Marshall."
Marshall: "It's okay, Rocky. These trips can get a little Rocky sometimes."
Pups all laugh and change into their uniforms, including Jessie. They all line up in front of Ryder.
Chase: "Paw Patrol ready for action, Ryder Sir!"
Ryder pulls up a screen. "Thanks for hurrying, pups. We got three kinds of trouble. Some pup has been going around town barking at people and pups."
Rocky: "A pup that can bark really loud? But that means that they have to be really big and scary too." He shivers.
Ryder: "Whoever it is scared Winnie Winnington so much that she crashed her van into a light post and it scared off her sea otter, Olivia. They also scared Emmy up a tree and now she isn't able to get down. And they barked at the Ruff Ruff Pack so loudly that they crashed their motorcycles and now Hubcab is on a boat that's floating out to sea."
Skye: "Wow, that's a lot of emergencies."
Ryder: "I know. But we're on them. We just need to divide and rescue!"
Jessie: "If it's alright with ya, Ryder. I'd like to help y'all with them rescues. Would be the least I could do."
Ryder: "That would be great, Jessie."
Rocky mutters. "As long as she's not with me."
Ryder begins selecting pups. "Rocky and Chase, I need you both to help Winnie. Rocky can fix up her van while Chase can use his detective skills to track down Olivia."
Chase: "Chase is on the case."
Rocky: "Green means go!" He mutters "and away from her."
Ryder: "Rubble, Zuma and Skye, I need you at the Bay. Rubble can recover the broken cycles while Zuma and Skye help Hubcab from sea and sky."
Rubble: "Rubble on the double!"
Zuma: "Let's dive in!"
Skye: "This pup's gotta fly!"
Ryder: "Then Marshall, Jessie and I can help save Emmy. Marshall can use his ladder to climb up to her in the tree and get her out."
Marshall: "I'm fired up!"
Ryder: "Great. Jessie, do you think you have enough hay in your pick-up to make a soft landing?"
Jessie: "My pick-up's got enough to feed a herd of cows, more importantly helpin' Emmy."
Ryder: "Great, cause we'll need you to have a soft landing incase Emmy falls."
Jessie: "Lets get along, little puppies!"
Ryder: "Alright, Paw Patrol's on a roll!"
Ryder rides down his pole. The pups all slide down to their vehicles. Jessie tosses her hat up in the air then catches it as she's going down. Then they all ride off.
Cuts to commercial
So if this was a real episode, this would be the end of the first part of it. From what I've noticed, there are usually three parts of a Paw Patrol special. And since I consider this a special, this ends part one. Parts two and three will come along soon.
In regards to the story, how do you like it so far? Any theories as to what's going to happen next? Please comment!
P.S. I'm sure many of you are aware about the devastating wildfires in California. Many people have lost their homes, are being forced to evacuate and have been injured or even killed as a result. What's worse, these fires continue to spread and burn, putting more lives and homes in danger. But lets not forget all the animals that have been affected by this destruction. Animals shelter across the state are being flooded by the amount of pets that became separated from their owners or lost their homes during the wildfires. Pasadena Humane Animal Shelter has already taken in over 300 animals from across Los Angeles and more are bound to be on the way. Many of these animals are coming in with burns and injuries. The shelter is currently doing their very best to give these poor creatures treatment, care and all the love they need. But they're going to need more help in order to care for so many animals. Pasadena Humane is accepting monetary donations to help provide emergency resources to animals affected by the wildfires the animal shelter. SPCALA also needs volunteers to assist in the care of pets of evacuees. Another rescue group that is caring for victims of these wildfires is 'Friends of Normie. And they really need more fosters taking in all the cats that are coming into their care. If you want to help them, just visit their Instagram page or website to sign up. For pet owners close to the wildfires, here is how you can keep your pet safe. Make sure your pets are microchipped for identification if they are separated during evacuation. Also have a to-go bag for them that includes food, treats, clean water, bowls, leashes, collar, blankets, items to make them comfortable and first aid supplies. Smoke and poor air quality itself is just as dangerous to pets especially puppies, senior dogs and birds are particularly vulnerable due to their sensitive respiratory systems. Keeping pets indoors as much as possible and limiting outdoor activity to short bathroom breaks is vital when air quality alerts are in effect. Animals with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions are especially at risk. Watch for signs of smoke irritation, such as: Coughing or gagging, difficulty breathing or increased breathing rate, eye irritation or excessive watering, fatigue, disorientation, or loss of appetite. If your pets exhibit any of these symptoms, consult a veterinarian immediately. For large pets such as cows and horses, they are being advised to be taken to an equestrian center in Woodland Hills where they'll be cared for and safe. Note that fire can be very scary to an animal and can cause them to panic. Keeping them calm and with you will help ensure that they are safe. Also keep in mind that wildlife is also being affected by these wildfires. Wild animals have adapted to deal with smaller fires, and unfortunately, sometimes they can't escape these recent big fires. During a "high-severity fire," which burns across a large forest landscape moving fast and climbing through the tree canopy, finding refuge can be challenging for animals in the wild. If you can, leave food and fresh water outside for all those wild creatures and if you can make a safe shelter for them, please to so that they can have somewhere to flee from those nasty fires. Just be sure not to approach them. A wild animal in panic may feel threaten if a human approaches them. If you see an injured animal, please call your local wildlife officials. They'll know how to help them. The Palisades fire has burned over 2,900 acres, and it is spreading rapidly, with flames advancing at five football fields per minute and dangerous "tornado-like" winds complicating firefighting efforts. It is unclear when they will stop. Until they do, for those of you within that area, my heart goes out to all of you! Please stay safe.
