Jimmy was doing his usual repairs around the United's base as Fenton walks in while drinking a smoothie.
Danny: Hey Jimmy. What are ya working on?
Jimmy: The same old. Gotta make sure my gadgets are fine tuned, the teleporter to SpongeBob's home isn't leaking energy particles & ocean water, both the hover car & rocket are fueled up, & also update security so no other villains could walk in freely.
Danny: Sheesh. That sounds like a lot of work. Why not build like a robot or a computer AI to do most of that stuff for ya?
Jimmy: It's not that easy Danny. There's just some things that a human must do that robots or AI can't. Trust me, I've had my fair share of relying too much on my creations & them going rogue.
Danny: Dang. Well since Timmy & SpongeBob are checking out the Harmonia mall, I'll be over by the TV monitor if ya need anything.
Neutron nods as he continues fixing up stuff. While that was going on, Plankton, who was still imprisoned in a jar, sat in his glass prison on one of the shelves. As the small genius was trying to think of a way out, he could hear the arguing of his neighbors in their own kind of prison. Besides the jar was a small cage containing two restrained nanobots Jimmy had created long ago who had gone rogue & put Retroville in danger a few times.
Red nanobot: I'm just saying I feel like you would look better with a bowtie is all!
Orange nanobot: How bout I tie your servos string bean!
The restrained short tempered one chased his comrade around. Their constant bickering soon finally made the small cyclops snap.
Plankton: Will you two shut up for a minute?! I'm trying to figure out a way to break out of this place!
Orange nanobot: Impossible! Our creator made our prison cell specially designed to hold us.
Red nanobot: Plus we still listen to him, even though we know better than he does.
Plankton: You two are too loyal & stupid to be still following that Neutron guy. Wait.. try knocking my prison down from this shelf. I'll then help escape out of yours next.
Red nanobot: Should we do such a thing? I'm sure maybe if we-
Orange nanobot: Quiet you! We're doing this!
The two small robots push their cage onto the sea critter's cage more & more closer to the edge. With one last shove from Plankton himself, the jar falls down to the ground & shatters. The evil genius got out of there with barely any scratches, as he hops up to not only free the nanobots, but also rewrite their coding so they could no longer think about the safety of their creator.
Plankton: Let's make sure you mechanical bozos are no longer loyal to your foolish maker while I make my escape. He ha ha ha ha.~
-Later-
After almost an hour of fixing up the monitors & security measures, Jimmy lets out a sigh of relief.
Jimmy: Finally. Now to fix up my tools.
Just as he was about to do so, the whole base suddenly turned off for abit. It turns back on, but suddenly the security weapons turn on & start blasting around in the room, as the two heroes duck & take cover from this sudden attack. Just as they thought this was some sort of malfunction, one of the screens turns on revealing Jimmy's nanobots were behind this.
Red nanobot: Greetings former creator! Hope we aren't interrupting something.
Orange nanobot: You idiot! We shouldn't care what he was busy doing!
Jimmy: My nanobots?! I thought I made sure you couldn't get out of your small prison cell!
Orange nanobot: Well think again! Thanks to a certain one eyed creature, we're free & also finally gained independence! We don't need you anymore to treat us like trash!
Red nanobot: That's right. That Plankton fellow may have left a while ago, but he helped us gain access to the main controls of your base. I'm afraid this is goodbye to our former creator.
Danny: That's what you think. I'm going ghost!
As Fenton turns into a ghost, the base's anti-ghost system activates, shooting a net made out of ecto energy that shocks the phantom, causing him to revert back to human.
Jimmy: Danny!
Neutron runs to his companion's aid while dodging the turrets, as he helps get the net off of him. They quickly ducked & took cover to a nearby table to avoid more of the lasers.
Danny: Well this is great. On one hand the security systems are great. But on the other hand, how do we stop them?!
Jimmy: I'm not sure yet. My tools & gadgets are too far away to retrieve & Goddard is still in sleep mode. I gotta think.. think.. think..!
The genius's brain starts thinking of the perfect way to stop his rogue nanobots once & for all, while also completing the restoration process of the base's network, until finally…
Jimmy: Brain blast! Danny, I gotta get to the air ducts! You think you can help me get in while also distracting the nanobots?
Danny: I may not be able to fully go ghost, but I can use enough of my powers to help you phase into the shaft.
The duo make their move, as Danny places his hands on the vent & uses his powers to make it tangible, as Jimmy goes through it & begins crawling through the vents. The defenses aim at Fenton & start shooting at him, as he quickly moves & dodges.
Orange nanobot: Ha! Look how that other guy tried evading his demise!
Red nanobot: Yes, such foolish delay. Though where did the creator go?
Orange nanobot: Who cares. As long as we are in control of this place's defenses & that he doesn't have any of his gadgets, we are practically untouchable!
They were unaware that Neutron had made his way to the central power core of the system all around United HQ, where the nanobots were at. As the genius stumbles out of the ventilation, the two small machines notice the sound & spot him.
Red nanobot: The creator! What do we do?!
The more stubbier nanobot then slaps the sense out of his skinnier brother.
Orange nanobot: Pull yourself together! We just gotta stand our ground! We will no longer be under his control!
Timmy: I'm sorry for this..
Just as the two were hyping each other up, Jimmy slams his fist down onto the two, crushing his creations into pieces. He felt bad having to do it, but he had no choice. Though with their sudden escape did give Neutron an idea to better security, as he begins using the remnants of their parts to construct a brand new AI to help around here.
—Later—
After checking out the mall to browse the stores & to get some smoothies, Timmy & SpongeBob returned to base & saw things were peaceful around here. Their teammates Danny & Jimmy were finishing off the touches by cleaning the monitor screens.
Timmy: Wow. This is a surprise seeing everything clean & stuff. How'd you two do it so fast?
Danny: Well first some good & bad news. Bad news is that Plankton escaped.
SpongeBob: Oh no! Then what's the good news?
Jimmy: Meet our base's new AI system to help us. They're called NICKS. Neutron Interconnected Computer Kinetic System.
One monitor shines an orange color on the screen with a static like eyes & mouth.
NICKS: Greetings. I am now online. How many I serve you today?
Timmy: Woah! This is so hella rad! Are we able to take on more missions than before?
Jimmy: It will take awhile for NICKS to be able to scan & detect trouble & crime outside of Harmonia. But yes, we've officially upgraded.
The group cheered as the United gained a new ally to help them face trouble wherever & whenever it shows itself.
