In the Full Moon

Sam and Tucker had arrived at the Nasty Burger some time ago.

As always, Tucker ordered a Mighty Matte cheesy melt, while Sam ordered a tofu soy melt.

"Good thing we paid off our part of Danny's tab that one time he blew us off to help Danielle..." Tucker said.

"Yeah, she ranks up the big bucks when she eats..." Sam said.

That's when someone took notice of them as they entered the restaurant.

"Hey guys..." Val said.

"Hey Val, what's up? Are you running late for work?" Tucker asked.

"It's my day off and my dad insisted I take time away from my usual way to kill time..." Valerie said before she recalled something. "Anyway, I wanted to ask… did a visit from someone unexpected but not too unexpected happen?"

"Define unexpected but not too unexpected, please?" Sam asked.

"I mean a lawyer. Anyone like that show up at Fenton Works lately?" She asked.

"We were just there to make sure their stuff wasn't taken. We didn't see anyone..." Tucker said.

"Yeah, if anyone like that did show up. It was probably after we left..." Sam said.

"Oh..." Valerie said.

"Valerie!" Irving Burns went, seeing her. "What's the point of a day off if you show up anyway and not work?" He asks.

"To… buy something to eat?" Valerie asks.

"Eh, fair enough…" Irving went, walking away.

Valerie shrugged before taking a seat.

"So… since Danny's out of town, as is Star and Kwan… do you guys… wanna hang out?" She asks awkwardly.

"Sure." Tucker went.

Sam was silent, looking unsure and unwilling before the lessons she had to learn came back to her.

"Sure…" She said.

Back in France

Inside the abandoned chalet, Alicia was tapping her foot on the floor impatiently.

"Okay… just let the guy open the chests as soon as it's night and the full moon comes… then I get my money. I'll send some to Maddie, that'll be enough to make things back to normal." She said as she looked afraid of things going south.

Little did she know, Razor was in what was once the chalet's wine cellar, examining the chests with some kind of mechanical telescope-like object.

"This is magic alright… The pelt's gotta be innit, and it oughta make me a very rich man." He said with a grin.

"Aren't you already one?" The beastly voice from the cage asks.

"No need not to get richer, what with my princess needing it." Razor said almost affectionately about someone. "Soon as it's o'er, we're takin' it. I can just sell the books to some egghead if he don't want any of 'em."

Meanwhile

Back in Auvers, the Fentons were given a stay at a local inn, paid for by Edge and her group.

However, this wasn't enough to make them want to stay out.

Though Edge asked for Danny Phantom and his sidekick sister's help, Jack and Maddie wanted in.

"That poacher guy isn't the only one in danger..." Jack said as he and his wife geared up.

"That's right, my sister and I are going to have a word..." Maddie said, pulling out her bazooka, fully charged.

"So, you don't think Aunt Alicia's in trouble?" Jazz asks.

"Either she's in trouble… or she's going to be!" Maddie said, holding up a blaster.

"But where exactly are Alicia and this Razor guy?" Danny asks.

"Right… that Edge lady hasn't found them yet. Also… why is she called Edge?" Jack asks, questioning her choice in name.

"Probably a nickname, that or she changed her name because of something from the 90's or whatever." Danny mused.

"Regardless, we are going after that crook and that cursed chest. Jasmine, stay here." Maddie said as the rest of them left the room.

Now alone, Jazz rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"Not like I want to go…" She muttered.

2 hours later

It was now night and the chalet was still unfound.

''This is taking too long, magic can't work fast enough..." Razor said, growing impatient

Alicia, on the other hand, was thinking about the last conversation she had with her family.

Especially her sister.

"You're my sister and yet you're the same bitter fool you were when Wilfred left you!" Maddie's voice echoed through her mind.

Alicia felt somewhat guilty, but shook her head.

None of that, I've come too far. I know Maddie is sore but...I have to do this. She'll feel better when she sees how much of her take she gets... She thought, figuring the money would save things.

All the while, she was unaware of what her employer was truly up to.

That's when the door was blasted off the hinges as Jack and Maddie slid inside.

"Anyone or anything in here is in serious trouble!" Jack declared.

Danny and Dani Phantom hovered in, the former looking as if he's seen this before, the latter confused.

"We could've just opened the door or phased through the wall, y'know." Dani pointed out.

"You should see what they're like in those Escape Rooms." Danny muttered.

"Maddie? What are you doing here?" Alicia asks.

"Here to stop this transaction of yours, that's what!" Maddie said, storming towards her sister.

"How'd you find this place?" Alicia asks.

"We asked around and learned a chalet was built here 20 years ago but was abandoned. We figured you couldn't go far if you planned to open the chests during a full moon." Maddie explained.

"And… you're here for…?" Alicia started.

"The money?/To stop this!" Alicia and Maddie spoke respectively at the same time.

"This Razor man is a crook and you're in serious trouble for working with him." Maddie said.

Alicia pulled back in surprise that she knew his name.

"I don't know how you know him, but he's legit! He's got the money t-"

"You seriously think money from a crook would be a good thing?!" Maddie questioned angrily.

"How'd you even meet him?" Jack asks out of curiosity.

"I was huntin'. He was huntin', but not for any animal. When I found the chests, finding out where they came from and people avoidin' em, he figured they had what he wanted. We made a deal, I get the chests opened and give 'em what he wants, he'd pay for it." Alicia answered before recalling something. "How'd you know I was needin' a full moon?"

Dani held up the note Alicia hid.

"Your adorable younger niece found this." She said with a notable scowl.

"Ugh… darn little pest…" Alicia grumbled, unaware she was talking to the same girl.

Maddie grew more furious, almost steaming out of the ears as she pulled Alicia by the collar.

"What made you think it was good idea to involved me and my family into this mess?" Maddie questioned with anger.

"Before Jack showed up, you'd have jumped at a chance to make as much as this!" Alicia said.

"That's because we lived in a rundown shed, cold nights that made me bitter about Santa and hoping we could eat roasted chicken instead of roasted squirrel! I was the one who got high grades, got the job I needed to pay for school and meet the love of my life who gave me children! You, on the other hand, never change! And now I find you didn't just make us come here to make you money, but you're working with a wanted terrorist-for-hire!" Maddie shouted as she pushed Alicia back.

Before Alicia could speak up, someone was heard applauding, getting their attention.

"What's this 'ere? Guests?" A cockney accent went from up the stairs, leading to the wind cellar.

Looking ahead, the group sees the man known as Razor.

"This the guy?" Danny asks as he clenches his fists that start glowing.

"This is the guy." Maddie said, prepping her blaster.

"Sweetie, he's not a ghost." Jack reminds her quickly, not wanting human blood on their hands.

"No, but we can fix that." Maddie said with a frown.

''So hot...yet terrifying..." Jack commented.

"I don't have time for this. The seal on the chest is gonna go any moment now. But for now… I got a few pets in need of exercise." Razor said, taking out a remote and pressing a button.

The cages in the back opened.

"You want us to play with your pets?" Jack asks incredulously.

"Something like that…" Razor said with a nasty grin.

Just then three inhuman shapes appeared as shadows on the ceiling from the dim light in the room behind him.

"Those are some pets…" Jack said, feeling that they aren't as simple as dogs and cats.

"These are rare beasties...and I haven't gotten around to feeding them since yesterday...which I am fixing now..." Razor said cruelly.

"NO!" Alicia went, getting in front of her sister. "Razor! Rex! We had a deal!"

"Deal's off, Luv. BOYS! PLAYTIME!" He ordered.

Three figures appeared behind him, one so large that they had to hunch to go through the arch before all of them jumped off the stairs and landed in front of them.

As they approached, Danny and company got a better look. The first was tall and humanoid, easily around eight feet, maybe more, looking lanky with long, brown fur covering its entire body. Two eyes could be seen at its head above a pale tan colored mouth. It took a moment to notice talons at the end of his limbs. Next came a huge brown spider, with legs five feet long and an exoskeleton shell that seemed harder than steel and seemed to have a purple sheen. Its eight eyes locked onto everyone as its mandibles twitched rapidly. However, compared to the last, none of them were horrifying. The only way to describe it was an abomination of cloak-like darkness of eldritch origin. Its shape seemed to consistently shift with sporadic spasms as tentacles weaved in and out of it, almost like a mutated Vampire squid with much longer limbs than what is normal. That's because it was indeed a cephalopod creature with a dark ink spraying out as a cloak. It had one feature that no cephalopod had, a mouth of sharp teeth grinning at them from under its eyes.

"His… pets?" Dani asks.

"Cryptids he's enslaved." Alicia said, hiding behind the group in fear.

"Behold! A monster that made an entire town in Canada go empty! The most feared monster of the African Congo! The creature that brought terror to Berkeley Square in London!" He tells them before looking at his beast. "Now… play nice! Don't break your new toys… not too soon at least." Razor ordered with a grin before leaving them.

The three beasts snarled as they inched closer.

"What are they? Exactly?" Jack asks.

"Hairy there is a Nantinaq, a Canadian sasquatch that drove a town in Alaska into being abandoned. Eight legs is an African creature named the J'Ba Fofi. The last one is the Nameless Thing… or Nameless Horror, kind of interchangeable but it crushed people in what's a bookstore now til Rex captured it." Alicia explained.

"Step aside." The Nantinaq said with a deep voice, much to the Fentons' surprise.

"He talks?" Danny asks.

Alicia walked forward.

"Stop!" She demanded. "We had a deal!"

"Not anymore…" The Nantinaq said before backhanding her with enough force to launch Alicia into the wall, knocking her out as she fell to the floor.

"Whoa!" Jack went, his anger at his in-law temporarily gone.

"Okay… with her out, that means we got less to worry about." Danny said with a serious look on his face. "I got Hairy there. Sis? You and Dad take the seafood medley. And Mom?" Danny turned his head to look at his mother. "You han-" He notices now how quiet she was, much to his own surprise. "Mom?"

Maddie had a cold, frightened look on her face, eyes directed to one creature. The giant spider. Her mouth fell as far as it physically could as she breathed quietly yet as quickly as she could.

"A gi-gi-gi-gi-gi-giant… spider?!" She cried out in fear as she shook her saber in her hands, not to use but to hold onto for sanity's sake.

"Oh… that's right… she's afraid of spiders" Jack said quickly, realizing her fears.

"Spiders?" Dani asks. "Vlad never mentioned this at any point… but I guess that just proves he had no shot. But, Mom? You're afraid of spiders? You bravely stood up to that giant snake two days ago before we got here!"

"That's different! That was a ghost! This… is a giant spider!" Madde shouted, pointing at the large beast that hissed in her direction, causing her to hide behind Jack. "Why don't you handle this, dear? I can help Danielle with the cephalopod." She said quickly.

Knowing now was a bad time to argue, Jack nodded as they split to handle these beasts.

Jack rushed towards the giant spider, blasting at it, but the creature was surprisingly agile as it kept moving from side to side before jumping up and landed behind Jack, using one of its legs to slap the blaster off Jack's hand before it went to bite him, only for him to grab its pincers, grunting as he pushed it back.

"You're going to do better than that to bite Jack Fenton's head off!" He grunted as he started a sumo match with the giant spider.

Meanwhile, Danny flew towards the Nantinaq, who roared as he tried to punch Danny, but he swerved the monster's giant fist. Danny got behind him and delivered a kick that sent the beast stumbling a little before it right itself, snarling at Danny.

"So, you can talk?" He asks.

"Yes, I can, obviously." The Nantinaq said as it suddenly punched on the ground and pulled out fist-sized rubble from the floor. It then rushed towards Danny, swinging the rubble at half-ghost hero, who dodged it.

"That means you can think for yourself." Danny said as he kept dodging the monster. "You don't have to do what that Razor guy is telling you."

"Yes, I don't have to, but I want to." The Nantinaq said with a sadistic smirk, surprising Danny. "Because with Razor, I can crush whatever and whoever I want."

"So, he's not making you fight?" Danny asks.

"No. We got collars…" The Nantinaq pulled some hair up to show a collar of some kind. "... but he only shocks us when it's over."

"So, you're a psychopath." Danny said with a glare. "Good, I don't have to feel bad for animal abuse!"

With his fists glowing, Danny rushed towards the Nantinaq, who roared at him as Danny's fist met with the monster's rubble.

Meanwhile, Maddie and Dani were fighting against the cephalopod, with Maddie making sure she couldn't see the giant spider. She twirled her staff to keep the tentacles away from her as Dani flew around its head, trying to distract it. She tried to blast it with her powers, but the Nameless Thing was avoiding Dani's attacks thanks to its boneless body, bending its body in inhumane shapes.

"Stand still!" Dani exclaimed as she kept firing. "Ugh! Why are these things born without bones!?"

That seemed to make it mad as its tentacles suddenly tried to hit her, making her yelp as she started swerving around the tentacles. Maddie, seeing the monster distracted, rushed forward, twirling her staff, before jumping forward and slamming its side with her staff, stunning it.

Just as she was about to capitalize on its distraction, she froze when she saw her husband being pushed by the J'Ba Fofi.

"Sorry, honey!" Jack exclaimed as he dug his heels to the ground and started pushing the J'Ba Fofi back away from her. Maddie just stood, frozen by fear. So afraid that she didn't notice the Nameless Thing having recovered before rushing towards her, tentacles raised.

It swung towards Maddie, but she was saved by Dani pushing her away, the tentacles making a crater.

"Mom!" Dani called out as she placed Maddie back on the ground, who was still unresponsive. "Mom? Mom!"

Dani then slapped Maddie in the face, snapping her out of it.

"Huh… what?" Maddie went, soothing her cheek.

"Get your head in the game!" Dani exclaimed as the Nameless Thing rushed towards.

"Right!" Maddie nodded, getting her staff ready. "…We'll be talking about that slap later, young lady."

"After you try to ignore the sp-"

"Don't say the word!" Maddie said, placing her hand on Dani's mouth.

Before anything else could happen, the Nameless Thing made disgusting squishing sounds as it slid towards them, using its tentacles to pull itself.

"Gross…" Dani went with a cringe face.

Meanwhile, Danny was pushed into the wall by the Nantinaq.

"I'll break you open like an egg and eat what's inside!" He roared.

"What a lovely image…" Danny snarked before phasing through the floor, followed up with kicking the giant apeman in the face.

Before that could happen, a red light appeared on the Nantinaq's face that it noticed.

Jack did his best to avoid the biting range of the J'ba Fofi before seeing what looked like a collar behind its legs, in the section between the thorax and the abdomen.

"Maybe if I break it, that thing won't care to listen to him anymore?" He asks.

However, red lights appeared on the giant spider, which the creature itself noticed.

Dani and Maddie, meanwhile, had an octopus with a mouth filled with fangs hissing at them.

"Any chance you're hungry?" Maddie asks.

"Eww, no!" Dani went.

Before the creature could approach any further, something shot it and sent it away. That something was a net made of metal it tried to break free of.

The walls and ceiling broke down as the door was kicked open. Edge calmly walked through the door, hands behind her back.

"Sorry we took so long… it was hard to get the right amount of people ready while you're working overseas." Edge responded.

With her were about twelve men, dressed in American Army Camo and brandishing weapons, gun that emitted the red lights.

Except for the Nameless Thing, which was trapped by the net, the monsters stopped moving, seeing that they were surrounded.

"How'd you find us? The same way we found this place?" Danny asks.

"No, we were following Razor. Now…" Edge then lowered her sunglasses, showing a pair of angry blue eyes behind them. "Where is he?"

In the wine cellar

Razor tapped his foot impatiently, questioning why it wasn't working.

He then wondered if the chest needed to be in direct contact with the full moon. So, thinking fast, he grabbed a nearby blaster he carried and shot a hole through the roof, letting the moonlight through, touching the chests.

Razor observed the chests as he saw the locks glow briefly before it faded.

"Could it be…?" He asks before, to his relief, he opened one. "HA! Yes!"

He saw it was full of books. He then opened each one until the final contained it.

A red pelt with black, much wilder hair on it. He realized this meant one thing.

He now had the pelt of the fabled Beast of Gevaudan in his possession.

"This is going to net me a fortune, it will!" He said with a grin.

"Don't count on it." Edge's voice said.

Razor turned around and saw himself surrounded by soldiers wearing ballistic armor, goggles and face masks, all led by Edge, their weapons aimed at him, ready to fire, along with Danny Phantom, hands glowing and ready to fire.

"Wait a minute…" Razor said with recognition.

"Nowhere to run, dirtbag," Edge said with a hostile glare.

"Well, well, well…" Razor said with a fond smile towards the hostile Edge. "It's been a while, Larissa."

"Uh…who?" Danny asked, feeling awkward, since he was between what seemed like a private, bad moment between an associate and a stranger.

While Edge tensed as her glare hardened.

"You think it wise to use my real name?" She questioned as she pulled out a pistol from her holster, readying it in case things turned bad.

"Oh, right, I'm never good with most names or faces." Razor said with an amused smile. "But I remember you. Larissa Headley, codename Edge, a lovely nickname I gave you years ago, in regards to our special time in the past."

"Enough!" Edge exclaimed angrily as he signaled her men to ready their weapons. "Come quietly, or we will fill you with bullets, and I don't think you'll like that."

"My, ever the hothead, aren't you, but I do love that about you," Razor said with a fond sigh as he raised his hands in surrender.

With a nod from Edge's head, three soldiers went to Razor and roughly handcuffed him, yet he remained calm, something that Danny didn't like. He watched as Razor was led away with the remaining soldiers taking the boxes, confiscating them as evidence.

"…That was too easy, he barely fought back." Danny commented to Edge.

"…I know." Edge said, also not liking how easily Razor surrendered.

Outside

The Nantinaq and J'ba Fofi were being led into steel cages, using both taser batons and steel catcher poles. The Nameless Thing was surprisingly complacent as it moved towards the secured water tank, the soldier using an ultrasonic device that Razor used to control the creature.

The Fenton Family were standing beside one military jeep on loan from the French military, watching the soldiers work. Maddie then noticed Alicia inside an ambulance, getting stitches to her head.

"I'll be right back." She said to her family as she walked towards the ambulance.

Dani looked worried and tried to follow her, but was stopped by Jack, who was shaking her head.

The paramedic nodded once she was satisfied with the stitching before leaving to check with her best. Alicia sighed before she spotted Maddie walking towards her.

"Hey, Maddie." She said with a small smile as her sister stopped in front of her.

"How are you?" Maddie asked with a worried tone.

"I'm fine, it'll take more than some overgrown monkey to take me down." Alicia said with a grin.

"That was an ape." Maddie pointed out.

"Even so… we both know Granny Danielle could hit harder." Alicia quipped.

The two sisters shared a laugh.

"Good." Maddie said. before her expression turned serious. "After today, I don't want you near my family again. Don't see any of us or contact us in any way. Ever."

"What!? Maddie!?" Alicia exclaimed in shock as she looked at her sister's serious expression. "You can't be serious!"

"I am." Maddie said. "I hoped that you'd changed, but no, and it got my family involved and almost got killed or working with a criminal. I can't have that."

"But…Maddie…" Alicia said but couldn't think of anything to say.

"Goodbye, Alicia." Maddie said as she turned away from her sister and walked back to her family. "I hope you can get your life back together."

Without a second glance, Maddie walked back to her family. Without a word, Maddie slightly sobbed as Dani comforted her.

The two boys watched uncomfortably. They both don't like Alicia, Jack especially. He was happy that he didn't have to interact with that cranky woman, but he didn't like seeing his wife cry over cutting the only family she had left.

Inside the chalet

A soldier was walking into the chalet, making his way to the wine cellar and suddenly just stood there as he watched three soldiers push the chests and pile them to a corner.

"Hmm? Williamson? That you?" A soldier asked, looking at the newcomer, who just stood there.

This person wore the same ballistic face mask and goggles as the rest, and didn't say anything to them.

"You okay? Is it time to switch or something?' another soldier asked.

This person still did not speak to them.

"…Okay? You're starting to scare me, more than that giant spider did." The last soldier said, as the three started feeling worried.

Without saying anything, Williamson turned around and left the room, confusing the soldiers.

"…That was weird, guys." the first soldier said.

"I kno-!?"

Without warning, the soldier was suddenly flung off his feet and slammed into the wall, knocking him out cold.

Surprised, another soldier was suddenly flung towards the ceiling, smashing through it and leaving hanging there, his legs dangling motionlessly.

Panicked, the third one grabbed his weapon and wildly looked around the room, ready to defend himself, not seeing the sofa slowly floating off the ground before it flew at him. He only caught a glimpse of it before he got hit by the sofa, knocking him out.

A second later, Williamson returned, not bothered by seeing three soldiers being unconscious. He walked towards the boxes, his right hand twitching uncontrollably, but paid no mind. He opened the biggest chest, seeing the pelt. Then quickly went to another box, spotting the books. He looked at one specific book, pulled it out the box, the cover written in French and said Magie Noire Vol II : Résurrection.

He opened the book and flickered through the pages until he found one specific ritual. He nodded, satisfied at finding it before he closed the book, grabbed the pelt and walked away.

Outside

A medic had just finished checking Jack before nodding.

"You're in the clear." He said before leaving Jack.

"Of course I am." Jack said proudly before glancing at his wife.

Maddie was leaning on the side of the military jeep. She wasn't paying attention to him, instead, she was still crying silently over what she just did.

Jack felt bittersweet about this. He had no love for Alicia and preferred never seeing her again, but he didn't want Maddie to be broken up about it.

So, clearing his throat, Jack inched closer to his wife.

"Do you…" Maddie looked over shoulder at Jack speaking to her, trying to reach out for her. "Can we talk?"

"What's to talk about?" Maddie asks with an unhappy tone. "I thought you wanted this."

"Not if it was gonna hurt you." Jack said.

Maddie huffed loudly as she shook her head.

"What's done is done. Alicia will never change…" She said before walking away.

Jack watched his wife go with sympathy, wishing things didn't have to go this bad.

Meanwhile

Razor was being detained, his arms cuffed together from behind as he was forced to sit in the back of what looked like a SWAT truck as Edge entered.

She took off her jacket, revealing she was wearing black boots, a black leather pair of pants, black bulletproof vest and long-sleeve dark blue shirt under it.

"Hello, Luv." Razor responded with a smile.

"Be thankful I need you alive." She snarled. "Now… as much as I want to take you in now, I'm still under orders to ask you something. Who hired you to find those chests?"

"I don't use names, but he sounds like an old friend. He wanted the chests, something about how he can't get it because of the magic. So, my job was to get it opened and he'd let me keep the pelt as long as he took the books." Razor said.

"Name, I need a name." Edge insisted.

"All I know is it's that old man's young wife who was the messenger." Razor said.

"So… you don't know who?" Edge asks impatiently.

"No… but thanks to little Mitzi, I used her husband's money to use this chalet as a place to hide. It even came with a clean pool to use." Razor said.

In the Ghost Zone

The Observants' Lair was busier than usual. Normally used by the one-eyed entities, 99% of the seats were taken by denizens of the Ghost Zone, along with cameras filming the event.

In one row was a small collection of Danny's foes.

"So, today's the day! I know this figure has been on the back burner since the 1700's. I heard a huge party was going to be happening right after." Skulker said.

"Rocking!" Ember went.

"This will be the end of this boxed criminal's shelf life!" The Box Ghost went while laughing and snorting at the same time.

Most of the other ghosts were mildly annoyed with him until Ember saw one Observant going on stage.

"It's starting!" She whispered harshly to get them to pay attention.

The lead Observant hovered towards a podium, where he tapped it to make sure it works.

"Attention, citizens of the Ghost Zone! The time has come for another wicked soul's banishment to the Unworld!" He said as the audience cheered. "Bring in the soul!"

Two armed guards did as ordered, carrying a tray of some kind with the glass container on it. Inside was the dark mist with red eyes, eyes that squinted in anger at seeing many ghosts booing at it.

"Get lost, punk!" Ember was heard shouting along with other ghosts.

The tray was set atop a machine of some kind, one of cylindrical appearance before it hovered upward and rotated to take an appearance not unlike Hadron collider.

"What you see before you is the machine we use to send twisted spirits to the Unworld, and now it is his turn." The Lead Observant said before gesturing to the mist in the glass. "Before you is a man forgotten in history, Cedric Devereux, responsible for the deaths up to 500, with little more than a fifth of those known to the world. Though his name was forgotten… his crimes will never be."

As he continued, he didn't see the hateful look in the eyes of the one he called Deveruex. One that made it clear the one those eyes belonged to had no desire for repentance, only further violence and cruelty.

In the chalet

There was an indoor pool in the back half of the chalet as Razor said. It had a skylight, allowing the light of the full moon to shine in. However, the only three who were in charge of what's in and around the chalet were unconscious.

The one that they thought was Williamson was back there, throwing various objects into the water.

Plants, animal body parts, even strange fluids were tossed or poured inside.

As he did so, he looked over his shoulder to see figures in the shadows bowing to him before disappearing in the darkness.

With the ingredients tossed in, there was one thing left to do. Getting on one knee, he raised a hand and was about to put it inside when it started twitching. With a smack from his other hand, that one stopped twitching as he dipped it in the water.

Within seconds, the water started to bubble.

The man thought to be Williamson then collapsed onto the floor on his side.

On the other side of the Chalet

The cryptid beasts were in their cages, none of them seemed particularly eager to try and break free. This did not go unnoticed by Jack and Maddie.

"Odd that those things aren't trying to fight back.' Jack said.

"I'm just glad that giant eight-legged nightmare is locked up." Maddie said before she shuddered. "I am going to have nightmares forever…"

"Oh, Maddie… you can't let your fear of those things control you. Right, kids?" Jack asks, but found no answer came his way. "Kids?"

Looking at the two Phantoms, both Jack and Maddie see Danny and Dani were staring at the chalet with the strangest of expressions.

Their faces were almost contorted with fear, near absolute dread, an expression that they don't usually express.

"Kids?" Maddie asks.

"Huh?" Danny snapped out of it along with Dani. "Sorry… just… felt something wrong." He said, unsure how to properly describe it.

"About the chalet?" Maddie questioned.

"More like something inside or behind it." Dani stated, taking a step back from it.

Weird… why does this sensation feel familiar? Danny thought, recognizing it from somewhere.

In the Ghost Zone

The banishment was nearing its conclusion.

"And then the guilty had met his end on what is known as Mont Mouchet. Now… with all of his crimes known, what say all of you?" The Observant asks the crowd.

Out of a desire to see this soul banished and enjoy watching one vile even by their standards gone, they all made their vote.

"GUILTY!" Everyone shouted with the biggest smiles on their faces.

The lead Observant nodded before looking at the soul in the jar.

"I'd ask if you had anything left to say, Devereux, but you have no mouth in that mist, and the jar is designed only for the most vile of those born on Earth. It's clear you won't change your ways, so there's no point in hearing anything from you." He had stated. "I almost wish Danny Phantom were here, so he'd know how we deal with the most vile of his kind when they come here."

The soul inside's glare only intensified.

At the chalet's pool

The one thought to be Williamson stood back up, looking down at the pool's water.

What was once clean was now an unnatural yellow, bubbling and emitting a strange, disgusting smell.

With a nod, the figure thought to be Williamson walked towards the pelt of the Beast and picked it up. Walking towards the pool, the figure threw the pelt into the water.

He stood by, fists at hips as he saw the pelt sink and seemingly melt.

With a nod, he walked away. Once he was past the door, his uniform was then tossed aside.

In the Ghost Zone

One Observant was at the side of the machine, holding onto the device's lever. With a nod to the leader, that meant the banishment was ready.

"And now… the countdown!" The Observant shouted as the monitors on the ceiling started at 1:00. It then counted down..

"59! 58! 57!" The ghosts inside went with anticipation.

The soul of Cedric Devereux was glaring out at all inside, wanting to do harm. This soul thought of nothing but to escape and to resume whatever crimes he could think of. However, that's when it happened.

The soul's eyes widened in shock as the mist seemed to be vibrating before slowly fading.

At the same time, in the real world, a pair of red eyes appeared to be glowing inside the mass in the pool that used to be the pelt, which has now grown past its original size.

In Paris

Marie Antoinette, the ghost that Danny had met earlier, was enjoying her cake as she watched from below what was going on from the building rooftop she sat on.

"Mmm… let's see…" She said, looking at a familiar figure she had seen this morning. "There's the cute little redhead Danny was with for breakfast." She then looked to her left. "Ah, there's that blonde who intruded on their breakfast. Ex-girlfriend? He certainly knows a few pretty faces…" She said in amusement.

Before she could take another bite of her cake, her smile dropped.

It was as if she felt something wrong.

Turning her head in the direction of Mont Mouchet, her face became far paler than it already was. She dropped her fork and her plate, not caring that it hit the roof and ruined the cake she was eating. She rose upward and she felt a sense of dread.

"This feeling… it's… it's coming from there…" She said to herself in horror.

With the Fentons

One soldier approached Jack and Maddie.

"You're free to go. Alicia had said you were unwilling to be accomplices once you were informed and Lieutenant Headley says higher ups allow it." He said.

"Headley?" Maddie asks.

"He means Edge." Danny clarified.

"Yes, her." The soldier said before turning his attention to Danny. "You two, however, we'd like to speak with."

"Us? Why us?" Dani asks as both raise their eyebrows.

Before the soldier could answer, a wave of some kind of sensations filled the two Phantoms, one that made them direct their attention to the chalet once more.

The soldier's words were muffled to them as they felt something wrong, something unnatural. It wasn't the same as before, but it still affected them.

"Are you two listening?" The soldier questioned angrily.

"Huh?" Danny asks, snapping out of it.

"I'll take that as a no." The soldier responded with a humorless shake of his head.

"You okay, son?" Jack asks before seeing the soldier eying him suspiciously. "Uh… which I mean in a platonic sense, not familial! Obvious!" Jack went nervously.

The soldier, despite his face covered in the same goggles and mask as the rest, seemed to believe it as he nodded.

"Seriously, are you alright?" Maddie asks.

"Not really… something's… wrong…" Danny said, pointing to the chalet.

"Again?" Maddie asks.

"No… this is different, just not as… bad." Dani explained.

In the Ghost Zone

The countdown was nearing its end.

"10! 9! 8!" The crowd went.

At the same time, the Observant at the machine's lever looked towards the jar. What he saw made his one eye widen.

"What?!" He asked, his voice drowned out by the chanting.

"7! 6!" They continued loudly as he tried to get their attention. "5! 4! 3! 2!"

"WAIT!" He called out, silencing the entire lair.

All eyes were on him now, as was their leader's sole eye.

"What is it?!" He asked impatiently.

"Where's the prisoner?!" He asks, pointing to the jar.

Everyone saw for themselves, to their shock, the jar was empty. No evil soul within.

All ghosts present gasped as the Observants went into panic.

"What?!" The leader went as many were scanning the area, darting left and right. "What?! WHAT?!"

In the chalet pool

The bubbling yellow water remained still for a moment as it was lit up by the moonlight, coming from the skylight, which had a momentarily peaceful look at the night sky in the full moon..

An arm of some kind, covered in some kind of reddish fur, suddenly emerged from the pool. It then latched to the floor, pulling whatever it was attached to out.

Something covered in the contaminated water began to appear. A face that was in profile view. A face with a red eye and a mouth filled with dagger-like teeth that formed a sinister grin.

Invader Johnny: They bode much worse here.

RonaldM40196867: You asked a lot of questions, so I'm only gonna answer 5 that I can right now to speed things up as I want to post this right away. No, I don't think I'll make a Jake Long reference. No, because he might now be her cousin this time around, that was just a cameo. Maybe, but I don't watch Rewind Rumble that much. Probably not gonna do a story of them watching their own Death Battle. Because it's a family trip, that's why they're not there.

Luiz4200: Wait and see.

Daniel6: We'll see if that stay true.

Leonardo: No, he just wanted to sell the pelt.
