La Nuit de la bête : Troisième Partie

The rain wasn't powerful enough to make him have any difficulty in flying. That was fine for Danny Phantom, as he was able to look for any sign of the Beast.

Fists clenched, he has what happened to Henri replay in his mind. His failure to save a good man still causes him pain.

But tonight, he's more than just a teenage superhero. He's come to slay a werewolf.

The city of love lay before him, its lights gleaming off the wet cobblestone streets. The Eiffel Tower stood tall, a silent witness to the chaos that has ensued all night.

"Danny?" Sam, over the Fenton Phones, spoke, her voice a mix of anxiety and urgency, breaking the silence of his brooding thoughts. "Any sign of him?"

"Not yet." He replied, his eyes scanning the streets with supernatural intensity.

"Just remember…" Jazz was heard in the Fenton Phone. "...just get him underwater and keep him there long enough."

"How long? Exactly?" Danny questioned, wondering how effective drowning the Beast will be.

"Canines can only hold their breath for about… 5-10 seconds." Sam answered.

"And humans can only do so for 2 minutes." Jazz added.

"But he's a dark magic werewolf…" Danny points out as he pauses and looks around, hearing a sound in the background.

The sound of a child crying.

"Good point." Tucker adds as he speaks up. "Might wanna double that human time, just to be safe."

"Dark but… we don't have any other options..." Sam begrudgingly accepted before noticing how quiet Danny went. "Danny?"

Danny flew in the direction of the sound, seeing for himself some destruction the Beast caused after he broke free.

He saw much property damage, but also damage of a different kind, including many people with cuts and broken arms, with looks of horror and trauma on their faces.

"Might wanna get Dani to come here with more of that miracle healing juice…" Danny's fists clenched in anger.

"What happened?" Sam was heard, sounding concerned.

"...someone who likes to draw a line in the sand keeps drawing them." Danny responded.

What he saw was the equivalent of a warzone. The child he heard crying had a bruised arm, which was the least amount of damage compared to his parents. His father had a bandage around his head, his mother was on the ground with one leg being in a makeshift caste.

This is my fault… Danny thought, filled with self-loathing and guilt. I'm the reason that monster is alive again… I have to do something.

Then he heard the sounds of gunshots from far away.

With Sam, Tucker and Jazz

"Danny? What was that?" Sam asks into Tucker's PDA, which was what they used to communicate with him.

"Trouble..." They heard him respond.

"Danny? Don't do anything crazy!" Sam warns, her voice tight with concern.

With Danny

He ignored her, zooming towards the source of the gunshots. As he gets closer, he sees a group of policemen surrounding a dark alley, their flashlights dancing around in the rain like disco lights.

"Le monstre ! Il va par là!" One of them called out.

"I have no idea what they're saying... but I gotta see what's going on..." Danny said under his breath.

He flew in that direction, remaining above and out of sight as he heard them speak.

"LE MONSTRE S'EST ÉCHAPPER!" One of them went.

"Ce trio de camions militaires va certainement l'attraper !" Another went.

"What'd they say?" Danny asks.

"That the monster got away, but three military trucks went after him." Sam said over the Fenton Phone.

Before Danny could speak up, he heard the sounds of new gunshots being fired from the distance.

Then there was a vicious laugh that followed.

"Devereux..." He growled the Beast's human name as his fists clenched.

"Danny." He heard the voice of Jazz, being protective and firm. "You can't let your anger drive you. That's just going to make you do something you'll regret."

Danny took a deep breath, trying to calm down. He knew she was right. He had to think less emotionally and more strategically.

"Cette chose était celle d'Henri... Plus tôt elle ne sera plus vivante, mieux ce sera." One officer said with a relieved smile as the rest nodded.

Unbeknownst to them, Danny overheard them as he noticed one word.

"What did they say?" He asks into the Fenton Phone.

"Danny." Sam went. "Just go-"

"What? Did? They? Say?" Danny's tone made it clear he wanted an answer.

It took seconds before she spoke.

"That they hope the thing that… took Henri… won't be alive anymore…" Sam responded with a tone of dread for what Danny would do next.

It was then the memory of Henri returned to him, filling him with rage. All Danny wanted now was the find the Beast and make him pay for what he did to a good man, to atone in his mind for being the indirect cause.

"Make sure to tell everyone else where to find me... At least 5 miles SouthEast of the Eiffel Tower... bring that stuff." He said before disconnecting.

"Did he just... hang up on us?" Sam asks, not out of anger but of growing concern for him and his well being, both physically and emotionally.

"We gotta help him!" Tucker went.

"He said about 5 miles SouthEast of the Tower…" Jazz had sisterly urgency in her voice. "So… we better move now!"

"Guys?!" Danielle, who returned with Jack and Maddie after getting more for Marie's potion, just became aware of what was going on. "Where's Danny?"

Elsewhere

Armed soldiers fired their guns at the vile lycanthrope, who only laughed off their bullets as he leaped from hood to hood of the cars that had been abandoned by his rampage.

The Beast was reveling in the chaos he caused. The fact that these people came to finish him didn't bother him; in fact, it only fueled his monstrous nature, making him feel more alive and powerful as it pleased his ego that they were powerless against him.

"Il faudra faire mieux que ça!" He wickedly laughed at them as he jumped off one car and landed nearby three gunmen.

He grabbed one soldier by the leg and used him as a makeshift blunt weapon, swinging him into his fellow soldiers and knocking them off their feet before tossing him aside in a manner meant to give him great harm.

One of those still standing was Lieutenant Larissa Headley, who, despite the injuries she suffered, still held her gun and aimed at the Beast.

"It's because of you that that rat, Razor, is out cold! I finally had him and he can't talk! Do you have any idea what you ruined for me?!" She yelled before pulling the trigger.

The bullet bounced off the Beast's skin as he snickered at her.

"If you'd like, mon cherie... I can give you something to talk about." He taunted, licking his teeth.

Larissa was about to pull the trigger again when the Beast pulled the hood of a car off and used it not as a shield, but swinging with the flat side hitting her and sending her rolling on the ground.

Her earlier injuries and her new ones made it difficult for her to get up, her breathing becoming more difficult while she tried to ignore her agony.

As the Beast slowly approached her, Larissa "Edge" Headley gritted her teeth as her brow changed. Rather than anger, fear became evident. Fear that she never felt before.

"Not like this… not before I find her…" Her voice was low, refusing to give up until she found who she was looking for.

Someone who was very important to her, and that she needed to survive this encounter.

The Beast stood above her, readying one set of claws with the intent to tear her to shreds.

"A shame, such a face zhis lovely must be removed… alas…" He raised his arm. "Adieu!"

Before he could do the deed, he heard the sound.

"DEVEREUX!" A wild and furious voice echoed throughout Paris.

Slowly turning his head, the Beast saw over his shoulder a certain ghost boy descending. One whose eyes were filled with rage and fists clenched that they almost drew blood.

Finding the sight of him like this amusing, the Beast turned away from the soldiers to directly address Danny.

"Wait… didn't I just kill you already?" He asks with faux-confusion before snapping his fingers. "Ah yes… it was zhat Policier that I was a huge pain in zhe neck towards… yes?"

The Beast then bellowed a guttural laugh, one that filled Danny with rage that caused his fists to emit a green fire.

To see him treat what he just did as a joke sealed it in Danny's mind what he was to do to him.

"What's wrong, Garçon fantôme? Have you decided you are the one to be the next to fall?" The Beast asks with a quizzical tilt.

"NO!" Danny landed roughly, creating a small shockwave that made nearby debris kick up. "I'm the one who's going to TEAR OFF YOUR HEAD!"

He slams his hands together, the fires going to his right hand as he creates a construct sword and aims it as his intended target.

The Beast's mocking smirk opened into a toothy grin.

"We'll see about zhat…"

The gap between the two closed as they rushed towards each other, the battle to avenge Henri beginning.

Swinging that sword of energy, Danny narrowly misses the Beast's head, only to be met with a furious swipe from his claws to his arm that left a green mark on the wet concrete.

Their battle was fierce. Each clashing of ghostly energy and werewolf claws that were met with grunts and cries that echoed through the streets as Danny swung his sword with all the rage he felt. The Beast's eyes were wild with excitement, his claws dancing around Danny's blade.

Danny's eyes were filled with a fiery determination, his teeth gritted as he dodged, blocked, and occasionally parried. The Beast's swipes grew wilder and more unpredictable as Danny's blade sliced through the air as fast as it could. The rain didn't slow them down. If anything, it only added to the chaos thanks to the mist caused by the heat off his blade of energy.

Danny knew he had to end this quickly. For every second the Beast was free, more lives were at risk.

He knew that they had a plan, but Danny's mind was elsewhere, lost in his own battle. He saw Henri's face in every swing of the Beast's claws, his mind replaying what he saw after he was pushed to safety. He didn't just want to defeat the Beast, he had to make him pay.

And with a roar that matched the Beast's own, he swung his sword in a wide arc, aiming for the creature's midsection.

The Beast saw it coming, but his arrogance had made him sloppy. He tried to dodge, but the blade caught him, sending him flying into the side of a building with a deafening crash.

The impact was so great that bricks and mortar fell around him, creating a cloud of dust and debris that obscured him from sight.

The Beast panted heavily before a smile came to his face, the injury Danny gave him repairing almost instantly.

"My healing factor and durability have been enhanced beyond their limits! You cannot defeat me!" The Beast declared, his voice echoing through the streets.

Danny clenched his fist, his blade vanishing as he hovered in the air, the rain hitting his furrowed brow.

"But you can't escape me." Danny said before charging again, his eyes aflame with determination.

"Were you not listening, espèce de sale gosse sans valeur?! My healing and durability are enhanced beyond their limits!" The Beast retorted.

The two of them clashed again, fists colliding.

"Yeah?! What about it?!" Danny yells back, the sound of his fists on fur and bone echoing through the alleyways.

Their fight grew more intense, Danny's ghostly powers against the Beast's animalistic ferocity.

As that went on, Larissa, pushing herself up, saw this battle.

"Darn it..." She said with a groan.

At the same time, Dani Phantom managed to reach the spot, having stopped to use the healing potion to help those whom the Beast harmed earlier and saw this going on.

"Danny...oh no...I gotta do something..." She uttered in fear and concern for her brother.

Danny, not seeing this, stood his ground as he and the Beast began to throw a series of punches far too fast for normal humans to see.

"You said that stuff you drank gave you enhanced healing and durability, not making you invulnerable! That means there's still a limit to what you can take, right?!" Danny threw another punch, his eyes never leaving the Beast's own.

The Beast took the hit without flinching, his smile only growing wider.

"Peut-être... but you won't find out where zhat limit is before I tear you apart!" The Beast retorted with a vicious swipe of his claws.

Thinking fast, Danny grabbed the Beast's arm, throwing him over his head and slammed him into the ground. Unfortunately, the Beast swung his body upon impact, slamming Danny into the concrete.

Pushing himself off, Danny gritted his teeth.

Their battle was only intensifying.

Elsewhere

A steel refinery in Dunkirk, miles from Paris, was unaware of the chaos.

Right now, all they were doing was their job of refining iron, but something strange had happened.

Out of nowhere, a certain yeti ghost that Danny was friends with appeared in the middle of their work.

"Great One! I am here!" Frostbite called out with a smile before noticing the puzzled looks of the workers.

"Monstre!" One of the men shouted before they ran away.

As the men scattered, Frostbite looked around, realizing something was wrong.

"The Infi-Map brought me here?" He asks before looking at the map, seeing his location was not what he expected. "Dunkirk? But I'm far from Paris... Why?"

He knew the map held power to take anyone anywhere. It didn't just lead people where they wanted to go, but also where they needed to go.

Why it led him to a steel refinery was beyond him, but he felt it had to be important.

For now, he decided to use the map to reach Danny, keeping it close until he understood why it brought him here.

"Oh, Infi-Map… I vow to recall this location as I feel it will be important… but for now… take me to where the Great One is." Frostbite pleaded, hoping the next trip will be to Paris, and to be of aid to Danny Phantom.

With Danny Phantom

His fist connected with the Beast's chin, launching him upward.

The Beast, unfazed, landed on all fours with a sinister grin.

"Come now, mon ami... You can do better zhan zhat! Just ask your friend... what was his name?" The Beast taunted regarding the man whose life he ended tonight.

Anger clouding his better judgement, Danny's eyes narrowed.

"You're going down, Devereux!" He shouted, charging with a fiery ghostly kick.

The Beast caught it with his teeth, biting down hard. Danny howled in pain, trying to pull his leg back as the Beast threw him around like a ragdoll. He made it go intangible, but the motion of being swung around caused him to fall. He hit the ground hard, sliding across the wet pavement as he laid with his injured foot in his hand. The Beast's laughter grew louder as he approached.

As the Beast loomed over him, Danny felt his foot start to heal, yet it wasn't healed enough yet.

The Beast raised his clawed hand to deliver the final blow.

"For using zhat name on me..." The Beast readied his claw. "I bid you... adieu!"

But before he could do anything, ice formed around his body from the waist down, surprising him.

"Get away from him, Devereux!" A familiar voice snouted, getting their attention.

"FROSTBITE?!" Danny shouted, noticing his friend's ghostly presence.

The Yeti ghost had arrived, using the power of the Infi-Map. Once he did, his eyes had blazed with cold fury as he saw his friend in trouble.

"Great One?!" Frostbite went to help Danny up. "Are you alright?"

"Not exactly... but I will be!" Danny said through gritted teeth as he pushed himself to his feet. "Where have you been?"

"The Ghost Zone. I was informed by Clockwork not to interfere." Frostbite replied, his eyes not leaving the Beast. "But when I saw what was happening here..."

"Wait..." Danny cut him off. "Clockwork? He told you not you interfere?"

"That is correct." Frostbite nodded.

Hearing that, Danny was momentarily speechless, unsure how to respond to what he just heard.

"Does that mean he knew th-"

"I see you've had another friend come to your aid, Garçon fantôme. How... quaint." The Beast said with a sneer. "Perhaps I will end him like I did zhe last one!"

"The last one?" Frostbite questioned before the Beast broke out of the ice.

The Beast was about to try and rip them to shreds, but a perfectly timed shield by a certain Dani Phantom stopped that.

"Get away from my brother, you fleabag!" Dani said as she used her shield to block his attack.

"Annoying child. Away with you! The Beast said before he used his strength to overpower the shield and break it. He hit the girl who made said shield

Dani screamed as she was backhanded and hit a wall.

"DANI!" Danny shouted in shock of what happened.

The impact knocks her out, causing her to fall face down and forcibly change back to human form.

Seeing this, Larissa's eyes widened.

"...what in the world?" She kept quiet.

Danny, seeing his younger sister out cold, snapped.

With Sam, Tucker, and Jazz

They arrived at the location Danny had given, seeing the destruction the Beast had left behind.

"Danny?! Danny, are you here?!" Sam called out, her voice echoing through the rain.

They saw no sign of Danny, but they heard the faint sounds of a battle in the distance.

"Come on, we have to find him!" Tucker said, leading the way.

"But what if he's hurt?" Jazz was growing more worried each second.

"He's Danny Phantom, Jazz." Sam tried to reassure her. "He can handle himself."

The three of them hurried through the streets, their eyes peeled for any sign of their friend. The closer they got, the more intense the sounds grew.

"That's gotta be him!" Tucker said.

"We're getting closer!" Sam exclaimed.

"We're not going to be of any help if we're not careful." Tucker reminded them.

"Yeah, let's not just run in there like we're in a video game." Jazz nodded.

They approached cautiously, their hearts beating rapidly their chests.

As they turned the corner, they saw a sight that took them completely by surprise and shock.

Danny Phantom was on top of the Beast, his face contorted with rage and his fists rapidly pummeling the creature's furry form. The Beast did little to actually defend himself or retaliate as his healing factor did away anything Danny threw at him.

"Danny!" Sam shouted, her voice barely heard over the rain and their battle.

He didn't react to them, his eyes focused solely on the monster beneath him. The Beast's smile grew wider as he realized Danny's anger was only making him stronger.

"I've harmed a lover, family... and zhen zhere's that friend." The Beast's toothy grin continued to mock the ghost boy. "It's because of you I live again..."

Danny's eyes narrowed as something odd happened.

The Beast suddenly had some kind of aura around him. One that black, pitch black. It was as if his very evil had manifested.

As Danny panted and tried to ignore his words, the Beast continued.

"He was there... because of YOU!" He cocked his head to his left. "I may have struck the blow... but you? You are zhe reason he's never going home again..." The Beast then adopts a faux-disapproving look on his face. "Some hero you are... Tu as échoué.."

As the Beast resumed laughing, rage filled Danny again as he raised a fist, only for Frostbite of all people to grab his arm and pull him off.

"Great One! That's enough!" Frostbite shouted.

Danny's eyes widened in shock, looking at his friend.

"Frostbite?" He questioned this reaction but soon saw what he meant.

"Yes, Great One, it is I, your faithful servant." He nodded. "This isn't you. He's using your anger against you."

"But he killed Henri!" Danny shouted, trying to break free.

"And I know you want to avenge him..." Frostbite spoke calmly, his grip firm. "But now isn't the time for anger. Now is the time for strategy."

The Beast looked at them, his smile dropping a bit, realizing his taunts weren't having the desired effect anymore.

Danny took a deep breath, his fist slowly lowering.

"Danny?" He heard Danielle speak.

Turning his head, he saw her regaining consciousness, hand on her head.

"Sis?" He said, sounding relieved but also worried. "A-Are you-"

"I'll live..." Danielle muttered before hissing a bit. "Can we just... drown him already? I don't like seeing you like this..."

"Neither do we." Jazz spoke up, getting Danny's attention.

Seeing the expressions of shock at how he reacted, Danny's anger slowly subsided as he realized they were seeing a side of him he'd want no one to see. The Beast got back up, snarling in anger.

"Don't interfere with my battle... I did not get set loose just so you can step in!" The Beast began to approach when Frostbite fired a blast at his feet, freezing him from the neck down.

"That's enough out of you!" Frostbite shouted in fury.

The Beast attempted to break free before Danny recalled the plan.

"What's the nearest source of water that's deep enough for him to drown in?" He asks everyone.

"There's the Siene. Not far from here." Jazz spoke up.

"Drown me?! HAH! My healing factor is too incroyable to let anything kill me!" The Beast scoffed.

"That's what you think…" Jazz smirked at him, surprising the Beast. "A lack of oxygen'll render your brain without any means of functioning. No brain, no healing."

The Beast's grin disappeared.

"Quoi?!" He uttered in shock.

"You heard her." Danny spoke up.

The Beast, seeing the look in Danny's eyes, realized that his healing factor had a weakness and that he no longer had control during this battle.

"N-No!" The Beast tries to shake his head before an idea comes to him. "But… I can be reborn! Y-Yes!" He adopted a smile. "It's already happened! My pelt was used to bring me back to life! So, that would me-"

"Actually…" Frostbite cut him off. "Those forbidden potions to revive the dead only work on humans. From what I was informed before I chose to come here, you destroyed your own human DNA to increase your powers. That means… you also destroyed your only chance of ever getting revived again..."

"...what?" The Beast felt a coldness, not from the ice but from what he heard.

"You are no longer human in any sense of the word, so the potions will have no effect on you. In other words… you're not coming back from the dead after this." Frostbite states with a smile.

Realizing that he has no means to survive or be resurrected, the Beast felt something unfamiliar take over.

Fear.

"N-No! NO!" The Beast attempted to break free before Frostbite lifted the ice he was trapped in off the ground. "Faites preuve de miséricorde ! FAITES PREUVE DE MISÉRICORDE !"

It was an odd but entertaining sight for them, the Beast showing actual fear for his own life. Without saying a word, all felt that this would be a fitting way for the Beast to go.

At the river Seine

Frostbite would refreeze the Beast from the neck down along the way. And on the way, the Beast could only beg for any means to avoid this, all on deaf ears.

Frostbite hovered several feet above the river with the ice that contained the Beast held over his head.

"This river is 31 feet deep… so…" Frostbite's eyes glowed blue.

The ice the Beast was in not only became stronger, but it grew. It was now a small glacier of about 12 feet in height, the Beast at the very bottom of it.

"You cannot do zhis to me! Show mercy!" The Beast continued to beg for his life, the fear of returning to death filling him.

"How many have asked you for mercy? And how much have you given? Answer that, Devereux!" Frostbite barked at him.

"Don't lecture me! I do not deserve such a fate!" The Beast couldn't help but reuse his otherwise unpleasant personality upon Frostbite's questioning of his actions.

Frostbite held no regret in what he was about to do.

From below, he could see Danny, Danielle, Jazz, Sam and Tucker watching from afar.

Danny nodded, giving him the okay. Frostbite nodded back as he decided to rub it further in for the sociopath turned lycanthrope.

"A pity… you've been alive again for 22 hours… Now you must go." Frostbite then turned intangible.

"No!" The Beast felt gravity take effect. "NOOOOO!"

He began descending quickly, the speed of the fall picking up as his eyes darted quickly to find some way of escaping.

Then he briefly saw Danny Fenton cracking a small smile at what's to become of him. This angered the Beast, wishing nothing more but to break out and tear his face off.

Then he hit the water. A loud splash that didn't reach, but the light drizzle of the rain starting to end was enough.

The Beast then hit the floor of the water, holding his breath and struggling to break free. Unfortunately, the ice was too heavy and he had no means to break free.

Above water, a collective sigh of relief came from everyone.

"It's finally over…" Danny was the first to say.

"Yeah…" Jazz said. "Now, let's make a little more of that stuff for the Lieutenant and her crew, then get ready to go home."

"Hopefully, that's all we got left to do." Danielle rubbed the side of her head, something Danny noticed.

"You sure you're okay?" He asks.

"Nothing sleeping in as soon as we're home can't fix…" Danielle smiled at the rest.

"I hear that." Tucker said before noticing something. "I'm betting my folks don't even notice I'm gone…"

"Mine too." Sam spoke up.

"Well… on the bright side…" Danny spoke up. "You won't be grounded."

"Yeah… that's an upside to this nightmare…" Sam let out a breath as she spoke.

The rain finally ceased.

"Finally…" Jazz held her hand out, feeling the rain falling no more.

"Relief…" Danielle wrung the water out of her ponytail.

"So, what do we do with the book?" Tucker asks.

"Soon as we find Marie, we'll get rid of it." Danny said.

"No worries… I shall be the one to put it away." Frostbite offered. "A shame we cannot find the books that were stolen from those chests you mentioned."

"The same books that had that potion that brought him back to life…" Danny bitterly muttered before a thought comes to him. "Wait, cou-"

"Stop right there, Great One." Frostbite held his icy hand up. "Such a potion is illegal for a reason… I do not believe that this Henri would accept you breaking the rules of life and death."

Danny, remembering the man who died to help him, tried to speak up.

"But I-"

"No is no." Frostbite sternly said before sighing. "And besides, it wouldn't work even if it was allowed… such potions would only affect those who held evil in their hearts. Why else would it bring a monster like Devereux back to life?"

"...I guess that makes sense." Danny's acceptance was bitter, but knew that Frostbite was right. That's when he noticed an odd red light. "There a giant stoplight behind us?"

Underwater

The Beast struggled.

He clawed at the thick ice in vain as he attempted to break out of the ice.

The air he held in prior to falling into the water was running out, his lungs starting to implode on itself by the thinning oxygen.

It was indeed happening, he would lose air, drown under the water thanks to the small glacier he was trapped in.

He would go back to being a weak, human spirit, once again no longer among the living, chained to be eternally punished.

Such a thought filled him with rage and fear that his struggling became wilder.

Then the red light touched him.

Looking up, his eyes seemed to catch fire a moment before a twisted smile made its way to his face.

Above the water

To their surprise, the moon seemed to have turned red, as red as wine.

"The moon got punched or something?" Sam questioned.

Frostbite scratched his chin in thought before an idea came.

"This rain was magically caused, yes?" He asks.

"Yes, Devereux caused it to give us more trouble," Jazz said.

"That must be it then." Frostbite snapped his fingers at the same time he said this. "Rain caused by magic will leave behind a sort of radiation-like effect that causes the color of the moonlight to change for an hour, effectively turning it into a blood moon."

"Blood… moon?" Danny asks.

"A blood moon is when the moon is in total lunar eclipse, and the sunlight is filtered and refracted by the atmosphere, turning it red." Jazz answered.

"Indeed… However, this is not an actual blood moon. Just a simi…lar…" Frostbite paused, a look of horror appeared as he slowly turned his head to look at the water.

"What's wrong? You wanna go swimming?" Sam asked in a snarky tone.

"Werewolves who gained their abilities by dark magic like Devereux… they gain enhancements during a blood moon." Frostbite explained.

As he did, he failed to notice the giant glacier slowly rising from the water.

"What kind of… enhancements?" Danny feared the implications of the Beast getting a boost.

"Increased ferocity, greater speed, greater endurance, greater strength, greater stamina…" Frostbite listed as he then noticed the ice rising. "And if that's anything like an actual blood moon…"

The rest of Team Phantom directed their attention to see ice rising from below the water's surface.

That's when something jumped out of the water from the middle of the river, ice slowly following as all the pieces of the small glacier Frostbite made now floated to the surface.

That something that jumped out was the Beast. Landing far to their right, the Beast was on all fours as he slowly began to laugh with a guttural growl.

"Je suis invincible!" The Beast declared with a manic grin as he ran on all fours towards them.

Pulling out blasters, Sam and Jazz started firing, but the Beast easily evaded their attacks.

Danny, filled with trepidation over how nothing seemed to slow this monster down, stood still before Frostbite stood in their way and created a large wall of ice after slamming his frozen hand to the ground.

The Beast began slashing the ice, his speed and strength becoming far greater as he was now halfway through the frozen wall.

"He is stronger than I feared…" Frostbite said with a frown. "If only there was a place where I could deal with the monster for all of you… someplace… abandoned?"

A thought came to his mind, then a smile.

"Idea?" Danny, noticing that smile, questioned his yeti-like friend.

Frostbite was about to share it, only for a thought to cross his mind that made him adopt a stern look.

"I'm afraid this is where your battle ends, Great One." Frostbite said as he turned to the wall and stepped forward.

Hearing that, Danny looked at Frostbite with wide eyes full of confusion.

"What are you talking about?" He asked, looking confused as he tried to step forward, only for Frostbite to use his arm to stop him.

"I cannot in good faith allow you to suffer any more because of this monster. I shall call for reinforcements and have them aid me in ending his life! Once and for all!" Frostbite declared with a snarl on his face.

The ice was broken through as the Beast tackled Frostbite to the ground.

"You wish to die by my fangs? Be my guest!" The Beast growled as he went to bite at Frostbite, but the yeti-ghost dodged it before tackling him.

The two rolled on the floor, Frostbite grabbing both claws to keep him from tearing his eyes out while avoiding his snapping jaws. Desperate for a chance to use the Infi-Map, Frostbite managed to kick the Beast on the gut to make some space, before pressing his icy hand on the Beast's chest, keeping him down as he reached for the Infi-Map with his non-icy arm.

"Infi-Map! If that location in Dunkirk I was last taken to has been abandoned, please send me there! Along with this horrid monster so that his time on this world can be over!" Frostbite requested urgently.

With that, the Infi-Map glowed brightly, surrounding the two in a ring of white light before Frostbite grabbed the Beast by the neck.

"What stupidité are you doing, espèce de bouffon poilu?!" The Beast questioned, angered that Frostbite was getting in his way.

"Wait and see, monster…" Frostbite held a serious look in his eyes as the two were instantly floating to the air.

"Wait!" Danny reached out, only for them to go before he could reach them, watching them disappear into a portal that appeared in the air before quickly disappearing as soon as they went through it.

All five remaining watched the empty space the two hairy combatants once were, questioning where they went.

As they disappeared, Danny felt conflicted about leaving Frostbite to handle the Beast.

On one hand, he didn't want to have to see the Beast again, so letting Frostbite and anyone else finish the job felt like getting a fishbone removed from his throat. On the other hand, he felt responsible for the Beast's resurrection and all he had done since then, thus making him feel that he was the one who should finish the job.

Then he felt a hand on his shoulder, that of Sam.

"Is… is it over?" She looked positively anxious, a tired and terrified look in her eyes.

Danny looked to see everyone else looking like her. Tucker, Jazz and Danielle looked at him as if afraid he'd go after the Beas.

With a tired and defeated look on his face, Danny nodded.

"I think so…" He reluctantly said. "Frostbite said he'll handle him for us… I guess… we leave it to him…"

He looked away, a conflicted look on his face over how he won't be able to see the Beast pay for his actions. Not wanting her little brother to feel upset about leaving the Beast to Frostbite, Jazz approached.

"Come on… some people need help getting medical help. They need you more than Frostbite does right now…" She tried to reason with him.

With a nod, Danny silently morphed, not caring about the idea of being seen, as he made his way back to the military forces that were earlier injured.

In Dunkirk

Frostbite and the Beast were ejected from the speeding map, both rolling on the ground outside the now abandoned steel refinery.

Frostbite planted his hand on the ground, his nails digging in as to anchor him, skidding to a stop, leaving gouges on the concrete floor. Once he came to a stop, he looked around to see the last vehicles of the refinery's workers leaving.

"Excellent… sometimes, being seen as a monster to humans has its advantages…" Frostbite said to himself with relief before sending an icy glare to the Beast that was equally as icy as his glare towards the ghost.

The Beast, getting up, huffed violently, not enjoying having his target taken away from him.

"It iz just you and me now, yes?" The Beast asked, tilting his head as he looked at Frostbite.

"Not exactly…" Frostbite stood up as he pressed the gold clasp that held his cape around his neck. It glowed. "To me… my warriors!"

Near Frostbite was a pair of green claws that were about 10 feet off the ground. Slowly, it expanded until it was big enough to let a group through. Once it reached the ground, out came about ten warriors of the Far Frozen, with two extra guests.

One was Wulf, the one who opened said portal, and the other was Princess Dorathea, her red eyes looking at the Beast in distaste. She tucked her blond hair tied elegantly into a braid behind her ear before straightening her royal blue gown.

"This is the one who was supposed to be banished?" She asks as she holds her amulet in her hand.

"Ah… another joli visage." The Beast grinned, readying his claws. "Perhaps now I can see if I can kill a ghost?"

Placing the amulet around her neck, Dorathea turned into her dragon form, much to his surprise.

"Insolent mongrel! Fear a dragon's wrath!" She shouted.

Surprise fading, the Beast only bared his fang in annoyance, tilting his head the other way

"You are all wishing to get in my way? Pourquoi tu me gênes?" The sociopathic werewolf questioned.

"All of us are allies to Danny Phantom…" Frostbite said as his eyes glowed blue. "And none of us will allow you to do him harm any longer!"

The Beast only laughed.

"Zhat boy is too much fun to play with… he and I have unfinished business I promised to take care of…" He brandishes his claws. "I will make zhis quick…"

In a burst of speed, he rushed towards Frostbite, but the Frozen Ones quickly got in front. They quickly made weapons with ice and charged at the Beast. With a grin, he dodged the swords and spears of the first four Frozen Ones before jumping over a pair of them that were holding axes. When he got behind them, he quickly slashed at their backs with his claws, the force causing them to be knocked off their feet. They were caught by the other Frozen Ones as the rest rushed at the Beast, who leapt into the air, grabbing one of the beams. He pulled himself up, crouching as he stared down on the ghosts.

"This may be harder than I thought…" Frostbite whispered to one his warriors.

"Try to make thiz fun for me, d'accord?" He said in a mocking tone, licking his claws.
