Six Months Later:
"Rias, Akeno, why?" I heard Zeoticus mutter in the background, Okita and Sirzechs chuckling as Venelana and surprisingly Grayfia giggled. Akeno was stifling her giggles as even Koneko had a small smirk. Today was my 12th birthday and we've already had the party, so now, it was time to open the gifts and like always, Rias decided that hers, or should I say hers and Akeno's, would be first.
"Akeno said he liked them, so we had one custom made for him." Rias said, Akeno smiling cheerfully besides her as Zeoticus sighed. I just stared at the present they gave me.
A simple yet beautiful recurve bow made out of a black oak, Elder Wither Oak most likely. Blue tribal patterns had been drawn near the grip, which was made out of what looked Hydra leather. The bowstring was sparking slightly and grinning at Rias, she nodded smiling. I can't believe it! She actually managed to get Enku to give some hairs from his precious mane to be used as the bowstring.
Picking it up, I aimed at the empty wall and felt the ease at which I could pull the bowstring right before a few sparks appeared in my hands and an arrow made out of lightning with visible blue wind as the arrowhead materialized in my grasp. My grin widened as I dismissed the arrow and it was reabsorbed back into my skin.
"Try sending a bit of magic into the runes!" "Oh right! I forgot about that!" Doing as they said, the bow pulsed before it turned into motes of light and wrapped around my left hand, a black glove with blue tribal patterns being all that was left.
"Thank you, both of you!" I cheered as I leaned down slightly and wrapped both of them in a hug, Rias hugging me back just as cheerfully as Akeno returned it with a slight blush. The ritual I did a few months ago, not only accelerated my power, but it also accelerated my growth rate.
Case in point, me growing from 4'1" to 5'1" in less than a year and I'm still growing. My muscles have also bulked up a bit, but not enough to hamper my speed-based physique; just enough to help me add more power to my blows.
"I told you he would like it." I heard Akeno whisper to Rias, who just rolled her eyes. I let go of the hug and the two stepped back as Koneko stepped forward.
"Here." Koneko muttered as she handed me an entire Black Forest Cake. Wait a second… I looked up from the cake and at her, scanning her before seeing the slight smudge of frosting slightly above her ear.
"Thank you for baking it, Neko-chan." I said with a smile as I wiped the frosting away and she blushed slightly as she nodded, giving me a slight hug before pulling back just as quick and going back to eating her cookies.
"It's my turn-Ouch! Come on, Fia~I never get the chance to do anything I want." Grayfia just rolled her eyes as Millicas giggled at his Dad's eccentrics. Sirzechs just grumbled as he pulled out three tomes from his Satan Magic Crest.
"These are the only guides in the entire world for how to achieve and perfect the Storm Knight Aura, Storm King Aura and the Storm God Aura." I put the cake down on the table as I carefully took the tomes from Sirzechs. I've been trying to create an elemental armour/ aura that would enhance my physical attributes for months to no avail…and now I have what I need to finally succeed.
"Thank you, Lord and Lady Lucifer…and Millicas." I added with a grin and Millicas nodded, though a bit too hard as he almost fell forward if Sirzechs didn't stop him.
"And this is from myself and Venelana." Zeoticus said and I put the tomes down next to the cake to take it from him. The language on it was completely foreign to me as I could barely make out the word 'G'.
"MacGregor told me that you've already learned all the runic language, including Divinitin, in the past 6 months, so I've finally decided to let you study the ultimate runic language in my personal and honest opinion. That, right there, is one of only three copies of House Gremory's secret Runic language, Gremorian." Both Sirzechs and Rias looked surprised at hearing Zeoticus say that and to be honest, if I was them then I would be too.
Gremorian is one of the mysteries of the Underworld as no one aside from House Gremory is able to utilize it. Many lesser Houses and Houses of the 72 Pillars have tried to decipher it and every time, it's only lead to a mass death or the complete ruin and extinction of a House. Even the best runic enchanters in the entirety of the Underworld could barely make out one letter of the Gremorian Alphabet and that's the letter 'U'. That's it.
"N-Not that I'm ungrateful, Lord Gremory, but…isn't this supposed to be only for the eyes of those with Gremory Blood?" He chuckled before Venelana answered.
"You're a vassal of House Gremory. Doesn't that mean you're also part of the family?" I just nodded slowly as I stared down at the book before bowing deeply to them.
"Thank you so much, Lord Gremory, Lady Gremory. I'll treasure this always."
"It's our pleasure, my dear boy." I grinned as I instantly put it along with the other two tomes in my pocket dimension. These are sacred treasures of the highest order. They must be protected and cherished at all cost.
"And it's my turn." Okita said as he stepped forward before handing me a green scroll with black edges. Everyone, especially me, looked at him and he grinned.
"Since I taught you all I know about blades, I've decided to let you learn two special moves of mine. The first is my own creation and the move I'm most famous for, Sandanzuki. The second however, is a special move that only my ancestor and I can perform. Tsubame Gaeshi."
"Wait…your ancestor is Sasaki Kojiro?" He looked surprised at me knowing before he chuckled.
"I should have known you would have known. You're always in that library. Yes, he's my maternal great-great-great-great-great-grandfather." I opened the scroll in awe as I stared at the new techniques to be learned. So many new techniques…oh~so much training to be done.
"Okay! That's the presents. Now…cake!" Sirzechs cheered, Rias and Millicas cheering with him and Koneko giving a silent fist bump as they rushed to the five foot tall cake with a design of my face on the top of it and candy figures in the form of the number of 12 at the top.
"By Lilith, it's like the Four Kings all over again." Venelana muttered and Zeoticus laughed as Grayfia went to cut the cake for them.
"What Four Kings, Lady Gremory?" I asked and she just sighed as Zeoticus answered.
"A little known fact is that the First Four Satans had massive sweet tooths and when you had any kind of sweet candy/ cake, you could get them to do anything you want." Huh…well, that's a new fact learned today.
"It's my birthday and I don't even get the first slice." I muttered as Koneko stole the first slice of cake from the three redheads and Okita and Lord Gremory chuckled as Lady Gremory and Akeno giggled.
Come to think of it, Akeno's been hanging around me a lot more than usual. I mean, before we hung out a lot, especially after Rias began our team bonding exercises, but now we hung out a lot. We're together so much that wherever I go, she goes and wherever she goes, I go. Even Joker and Bardou were asking what's going on with her, a question I didn't have an answer to.
'Maybe it isn't what I think it is… or at least I hope it isn't what I think it is.'
'Knowing your luck, pup, it definitely is.' I sighed as Akeno turned and smiled at me, which I returned. Yeah, it's definitely is.
'No. First the power…then the ladies.' Thank you, TFS Vegeta for your words of wisdom.
The next day:
The day was finally here. I've turned twelve and now I'm officially the legal age for when I can start to undertake Devil Contracts.
"So, this is going to be your first contract. What do you need to do for it to be successful?" Rias asked from where she was sitting on her bed as we waited for Akeno to finish setting up the giant transportation on the floor.
"Greet the contractor, find out what their request is, finish the request, use the request equivalent calculator to figure out payment, collect payment and come back." She smiled as she nodded and handed me a pamphlet, the Gremory Crest on it, as well as a pager-type machine
"Since you haven't been registered by the Inter-Realm Teleportation Organization, use this to come back and the next time you have to go to and from the Underworld, you'll be able to use your Teleportation Circle. The machine is the Reward Monitor and Calculator. It will assign a limited amount of time to your contract and calculate the reward for said contract." I nodded as I put the pamphlet away and strapped the machine to my side before hearing Akeno sigh as the crest on Rias' floor began to glow.
"So, I'm going to be the first to be sent to your new territory, right?" I asked and she nodded as we walked to where Akeno was.
"Yes. According to Big Brother, Kuoh Town is supposed to be shared by me and Sona when we're old enough to go to high school. For now, though, it's under his jurisdiction. Anyway, just finish the request and come back quickly. Also, no taking souls."
"Not even for fun?" She just stared and I rolled my eyes as I nodded.
"Good! Akeno, all on you."
"Okay! In the circle, Isa." That's another thing. I've always been Isaiah. When did I become Isa? The more things I hear, the more I (don't) like where this is going…I don't know how to feel about it, but so far, I'm feeling…good I guess and…I don't know if that's good.
Walking into the middle of the crest, I waved one more time at the smiling pair before my world was dyed red. The crimson glow lasted for a few seconds before slowly dissipating and I looked around where I was.
It looked to be a normal gaming room/ basement. A massive plasma TV attached to a wall, stretching from wall to wall as a multitude of consoles sat underneath it on a shelf. Five shelves sat underneath the console, dozens of games for different consoles organized neatly on the shelves. To the side was a bookshelf, rows upon rows of manga volumes stacked on it.
"Woah~ It actually worked." I turned and stared at the four guys sitting on bean bags, one of them smoking a blunt as they all looked surprised.
"Yo. One Devil ready for duty." I greeted with a mock salute.
"Hey, Mr. Devil…want a puff?" The one with the blunt asked as he held it out to me, his short brown hair dishevelled as he grinned at me. The one with the long brown hair in a man bun was busy playing what seemed to be a Street Fighter copycat against the one with the shoulder-length black hair. The last one had blue hair that had light green ends, which either meant the blue was natural and he dyed the ends or the blue was also hair dye.
"No thanks." I declined and he shrugged as he took another puff, passing it to the blue haired guy who just passed it on. Guess he also doesn't like smoking.
"So, what do you need me to do?" I asked as I fell onto the fifth bean bag and sighed in relief as I snuggled into it. Oh yeah~ I think I need one of these for my room.
"We needed a fifth player for MoD ." The one with the man bun said as he tossed me a controller, which seemed to be a combination of Playstation and Xbox. Truly, an abomination and a beauty of the highest order.
"What's MoD?" All four's head snapped to me in shock before they gave off a sigh in unison.
"Another uncultured civilian. Men! We must teach him the sacred ways of MoD!" The one with the man-bun exclaimed and the three nodded as they exited the fighting game before selecting what seemed to be a FPS game. I just shrugged as I got ready to took a few seconds to load before a very familiar theme played from it.
BLOOD! SWEAT! GUTS!
Men of Duty: Guerilla Warzone
'So…it's a CoD rip-off. I'm not sure how to feel about that.' I thought to myself as they went into a multi-player lobby, making the game mode random before the game began.
"Okay. RT is shoot, LT is aim, R1 is grenade, L1 is Flashbang, A is jump, Circle is crouch or prone if you hold it, Triangle is Use/ Open, X is reload and you can figure out the rest yourself. Try not to die too much, newbie." The one with the man bun said with a teasing grin and on the outside, I gave a happy grin and nodded. In my mind however…Oh~ This is going to be so much FUN!
Two Hours Later:
"3 o'clock Newbie! Flash!" Man bun said and I aimed at the barricade, the final enemy running out of their cover as Man-Bun threw a Flashbang only for a shriek to be heard from the player as I sniped their brains out, completing our 50-win streak.
"HAX! I CALL HAX! I'M GOING TO REPORT YOU DICKHEADS!" I grinned as I heard the last player shout in the lobby.
"GO SUCK YOUR MOM'S DROOPY PUSSY, BITCH!" Man-Bun shouted back and the other three burst out laughing as we heard an inaudible shriek before we disconnected from the lobby.
"Not bad, Newbie! You sure you haven't played it?"
"Nope. That's my first time ever playing a game." 'In this life, at least…wow, now that I think about it, that's kind of sad. Then again, training has had all my attention up to this point so I supposed I should start making time for fun and relaxation. Work hard, play hard as the quote goes.' I was ignorant of the four having a silent conversation with each other before they nodded.
"Hey newbie, how would you like to join our Team for the Kyoto Gaming Conference in two weeks' time?" I was knocked out of my thoughts by Blunt Guy speaking and I looked at him.
"You sure you want a newbie on your team?" I grinned as they laughed before Blue Hair spoke.
"Yeah, you have the skill needed to be in our team…for a newbie." I shrugged before I heard a beep. Looking to my waist, I saw the machine Rias gave me before my departure beeping repeatedly for the next five seconds before going silent once more.
"Looks like that's the end of your time. That will be…¥9,000." I said as the machine calculated the price. Man-Bun nodded as he took out a stack of cash before handing it to me and I quickly flicked through it, nodding as I noticed it was all there.
"Okay, since this is a recurring contract, I'm going to need one of you to give me your hand." I said and Man-Bun stepped forward, holding out his right hand. I grinned as I grasped his hand and the Gremory crest lit up on the back of both of our hands, glowing brightly before it slowly disappeared.
"And with that, you can just say my name and my crest will light up, informing me that you want something."
"Cool." Was all he said and I chuckled before I remembered something.
"Oh right, what were your names?" I asked as I pulled out the return pamphlet.
"I'm Yazu(Man-Bun) and they are Haru(Blue Hair), Hisoka(Blunt Guy) and Sado(Black Hair)." I nodded as I memorized their names before pumping a bit of magic into the paper, the Gremory crest lighting up under me.
"I'm Isaiah. See you all next week for the tournament. Also, if you're making uniforms, my shirt size is M, pants are a 30 and shoe size is 8." They all waved before the crest pulsed and I disappeared. The crest glowed bright crimson before the light dimmed down and I looked at the familiar room of Rias. Rias, Akeno and Koneko were sitting on the bed along with three new faces. All three of them had glasses on, each with a different coloured frame.
The first was a girl with her har styled in a bob, her violet eyes analyzing me from behind her blue square-rimmed glasses. She was dressed in what seemed to be a black skirt and blue blouse.
The second girl had long black hair that hang to the middle of her back and heterochromic eyes, a violet left eye and a light brown right eye, that were hidden behind semi-rimmed red glasses.
The third girl had long pale blond hair and pink coloured eyes with black square-rimmed glasses, dressed in a form fitting dress that didn't reveal as much skin as I thought it would.
"Isaiah! How was it?" Rias' voice snapped me from my analysis and I grinned at her, showing the crest on the back of my hand.
"A success. I now have my first contract." She cheered before bob-hair girl cleared her throat, catching Rias' attention.
"Oh right! Introductions. Isaiah, these are my friends Seekvaira Agares, the heir to House Agares, Sona Sitri, the heir to House Sitri and Sona's Queen, Tsubaki Shinra. Everyone, this is Isaiah, my one and only Knight and the wielder of the Longinus Canis Lykaon" Rias looked smug as she introduced me and I could catch Sona looking exasperated as Seekvaira rolled her eyes playfully.
"Pleasure to meet you all, Lady Sitri, Lady Agares, Lady Tsubaki." I said with a slight head bow.
"No need for the Lady Agares. Please call me Seekvaira. I'm still just the heiress." Seekvaira said and Sona nodded.
"The same for me. Just call me Sona."
"And I'm just Tsubaki." I smiled and nodded.
"Then please, call me Isaiah." The three nodded before Sona turned to the still smug Rias.
"So this is the Knight you've been bragging about to everyone." Rias nodded with a happy smile as I sat down next to Koneko.
"Thank you." I said with a smile as I took the chocolate chip cookie from her and let her plop down on my lap, ignoring Akeno who had moved to lean against my right side as she wrapped my arm around her.
Oh my Satans, even I, the dense idiot, knows what's happening here. I had someone I saw as my new little sister in my lap and a girl with a crush on me had my right arm wrapped around her as she leaned into me.
"Akeno! Isaiah! Koneko! How could you guys?! You know you can't do teamhugs without me!" Rias whined as all three of us rolled our eyes, the other three looking amused as Rias sat down on my left and wrapped her arms around me.
"So, Isaiah. How does it feel being surrounded by girls on a daily basis?" Seekvaira asked and I shrugged, ignoring Akeno's flushed face.
"Annoying, mostly…except for Neko-chan. She's cool." I answered bluntly, giving Koneko a high-five as I ignored the two girls pinching my sides.
"Oh? I thought boys of your age liked being chased by girls or am I mistaken?" Seekvaira asked with a curious smile and I shrugged.
"Most boys my age don't realize what a girl is until puberty hits them."
"And you know what a girl is?" Sona looked completely amused at this conversation and I chuckled before eating the piece of cake Koneko fed me.
"I've been forced into dresses, forced to wear underwear and forced to wear make-up as I tried and failed to run away from this red-headed little demon. I'm pretty sure I have a crude and basic understanding of how much effort being a girl is." Tsubaki, Sona and Seekvaira turned to Rias, who just had a sheepish grin on her face before all three shook their heads in exasperation.
"Of course she did." Seekvaira muttered and the other girls looking nodded, Rias looking betrayed.
"So, what are his DES?" Seekvaira asked Rias, Sona giving me quick glances that felt more like she was trying to analyse me.
"Oh right. It's uh…hey, Isaiah…" She trailed off with a sheepish smile as I just rolled my eyes
"Peak High-Class Strength, Peak Ultimate-Class Speed, Low Ultimate Class Demonic Energy with a Mid Ultimate-Class Overall Rating." I answered for Rias, Sona and Tsubaki looking shocked as Seekvaira hummed with an impressed look on her face.
"You're an Ultimate-Class being after being a Devil for just one year. That's impressive for you age and for a Devil not of noble lineage, but you're still a few ways away from taking on the true powerhouses of our generation, especially my Queen Alivian."
"Thank you, Seekvaira. And, if I may ask, what is your Queen's overall rating?" If I remember correctly, her Queen is an Eastern European Dragon and the most powerful member of her peerage, so he must be at the very least Low-Ultimate Class.
"His overall rating is Low-Satan Class last time we measured, but that was a few months ago, so it might have gone up even further." I smiled and nodded, but inside, I could feel the anxiety and shock raging.
Here I thought Sairaorg and maybe Riser were going to be the only Devils I truly needed to worry about, but now I have to add another name to my list.
Sairaorg was already more powerful than his canon version probably was and I'm going to have to assume that the other beings we have to fight in the future will be too.
The protagonist luck never fails to annoy the shit out of me.
"On a much more irritating note, how goes things with you and Riser?" Sona asked and Rias's smile turned upside down as she grumbled.
"Unfortunately, my parents can't see him for what he truly is. Not only that, the time I have left has been shortened. We were supposed to wait until I finish my University studies, but now as soon as I finish High School, we're getting married."
"…And how many times have I told you to just challenge him to a chess match? It helped me."
"Well, not all of us are genius tacticians Sona." Sona just shrugged before I spoke.
"Who is this Riser? You never told me about him." Rias looked as if she was in thought, ignoring the others' surprised faces before an embarrassed smile grew on her face.
"Oh yeah~ I never did. Hehe~Well, Riser Phenex is a guy that's about six years older than me that my parents have arranged for me to marry to better the financial standing of House Gremory and better the political standing of House Phenex."
"I see. Since House Gremory has 20 votes in total in the Pillar House Council Meetings and House Phenex has 10, that would give this new alliance 30 votes in total, which would make it the party with the fourth highest amount of votes apart from House Paimon's 40, Agares' 50 and House Bael's 80. Not only that, but with the combined wealth of House Phenex and House Gremory, this alliance would be the richest political group in the Underworld. I can see why your father would want that power. Greed is in a Devil's blood. However, I'm sure you want to find and marry someone you truly love, which is causing problems with House Phenex. Since your time has been shortened, that means this would lead to a Rating Game between the two of you to see if the marriage goes through or nor, which would result in you losing since he would have gained a lot of experience in Rating Gmaes by the time he challenges you and I don't know how powerful he is or how much more powerful he will become in the next few years." They all looked shocked at hearing my analysis, but truthfully, it's just me using the knowledge I gained from the library, my canon knowledge and a bit of the weeb inside me to create the most likely scenarios.
Easy for the average Otaku to calculate.
"Uh…right. And since he's said to be the most talented Phenex clan member since the Original, that means he will become even more powerful when I do challenge him, even if he doesn't train."
"Wait, how powerful is he?"
"He has an overall rating of Low-Satan Class." Seekvaira answered and I hummed as I nodded, going back to my train of thought.
Yep, just as I thought. Every enemy the Gremory Peerage would have faced in this world has become even stronger than their canon variants.
Does that mean Kokabiel is even more powerful?
What about Cao Cao? Siegfried? Freed Sellzen?
The Khaos Brigade?! Qlippoth?!
Hell, I can't believe I forgot about the main threat Trihexa!
How the hell am I going to beat that?! Better yet, how am I going to seal that away since it took THE GOD to sacrifice half of his full power to place thousands of seals on it and stash it at the End of the World?!
Better question…where is the End of the World exactly?!
'Calm, Isaiah! Be calm! These are problems yes, but they are problems that have not happened yet or ones that can be prevented. We just have to be smart. Thank the Satans Lycaon can't hear my thoughts, otherwise I'd have a lot of explaining to do.' I took a few deep breaths as I calmed myself down, opening them to see Koneko, Akeno and Tsubaki glancing at me. Rias, Sona and Seekvaira were now at Rias' desk, Sona and Seekvaira playing chess against each other as Rias looked on from the side.
"Okay?" Koneko asked and I smiled as I nodded. She just nodded before climbing off, walking out of the room. Probably going to refill her plate before coming back.
"…A bit clingy today, aren't we?" I asked Akeno and she just smiled as she snuggled into me, Tsubaki looking a bit amused before I turned to her.
"I have room for one more." Isaiah…the girl with a crush on you is next to you. She knows Thunder Magic and not just that, but Holy Lightning/ Thunder Magic, so…what…in the Satans' name…are you doing?!
'Oh~Not even I am that bold. Well done, pup. Truly my blood flows strong through your veins.' I just tuned him out as Tsubaki shyly scooted a bit closer and I wrapped my left arm around her shoulder, dragging her in. She yelped softly as she leaned against my left side. Huh, well…there goes my 20 other plans to try and convince her to come closer?
I mean, I knew female Devils were attracted to powerful male, but I didn't think I was that powerful already. I am Satan Class, but that's on the lower end and I'm sure there are dozens, if not hundreds, of Pure Blood Devils more powerful than I am…or are there?
'Okita and the rest of the adults seemed a bit shocked at how fast I was progressing and the fact that the gifts Zeoticus and Sirzechs gave me were sacred relics that should be placed under 24/7 guard is concerning, especially when you consider the fact that Gremorian is not known to anyone outside of House Gremory and that the Storm Armours/ Auras have only been used by either the demigod children/ descendants of Storm Gods or the Storm Gods themselves.
Something isn't right here. I'm getting everything I want, whereas Koneko and Akeno, who have been here for far longer than me, have not received the same level of gifts that I have. Am I a special case…or are they preparing for something and they need the most powerful member of the peerage as strong as they can make me in a short amount of time? So many questions and so little answers.'
Killing intent snapped me out of my inner monologue and looked to my right to see Akeno just giving me a smile, though I did feel the slight shocks on my leg as her fingers sparked.
"Oh hush you. You get enough of me on a daily basis. Sharing is caring" She just pouted before wrapping her arms around me, glaring cutely at Tsubaki who was just staring down at her legs with a red face.
"Isaiah. Stop seducing other girls. Akeno will get mad." "I will not!" Akeno exclaimed from my side and Rias just giggled. Koneko returned from her journey and plopped back down on my lap, a giant bowl of freshly-baked cookies in her arms as she fed me one.
"Evelina?" I asked and Koneko nodded, her cheeks puffing out as she stuffed her mouth with them.
"Here." She muttered as she handed both Akeno and Tsubaki a cookie, Akeno looking at her and then me in surprise and I just shrugged. That's actually the first time she's given someone other than me a cookie.I guess she's starting to come out of that shell of hers a little.
"Thank you Koneko-san." Tsubaki thanked her with a smile before taking a bite, though a bit of the melted chocolate dripped down the corner of her mouth and I watched as she wiped it off before licking it off her tongue.
"Really?" Akeno's voice snapped me out of my thoughts and I turned to see her staring at me, making me grin unashamedly.
The only warning I got was a sultry grin as she then took a bite, making sure to let the chocolate drip out the corner of her mouth before letting it flow as my gaze followed. It flowed from her mouth to her chin, where it dripped down to her chest and slowly moved into the valley of her sizeable chest. She then put a finger in and slowly wiped it up only to moan softly as she slowly and sensually sucked on the fingertip. All of this was done while she kept eye contact with me the entire time.
'…Damn.' Lykaon muttered in shock and I had to agree. That…was hot. Tsubaki seemed to agree with how bright red she was, though I could feel that her breathing was a bit heavier than usual and there was a faint strawberry scent emanating off her. Huh, looks like Devil Puberty hits early and it hits hard.
"…Ecchi." I laughed at Koneko's muttering as Akeno just stuck her tongue out.
"You didn't even know what that word meant until I explained it to you."
"…Still ecchi." Akeno just rolled her eyes. We were sitting in silence as the other three girls kept playing before I felt it. Rapid changes in the wind patterns, specifically those on the path to Rias' room.
"I do apologise for this." I said to the confused Tsubaki before she and Akeno yelped as I wrapped my arms around them and Koneko and jumped over an object that crashed into the bedroom wall.
"Sairaorg! It's off-day! We don't fight on off-day!" I shouted towards the wall, putting the girls on the ground before I heard a familiar chuckle from the door.
"That's not me, my rival!" A grinning Sairaorg exclaimed as he walked in the room and the dust cloud settled to reveal a very surprising sight.
A giant lion slowly prowled out from where it created a crater in the wall to stand next to Sairaorg, the purple gem on its forehead and its golden fur and mane gleaming in the light.
…Longinus appearing out of nowhere say wha~!

"And you're certain this information is accurate?" A deep voice asked as the person sat on a throne, staring lazily at the page on his lap as the servant in front of the throne nodded.
Y-Yes, my Lord. Your spies managed to make a perfect copy of the information and sent it to us without anyone noticing." The man nodded as he read through the page, an eyebrow raising as he kept on reading.
"Ultimate-Class at just 12 years old? Impressive for a peasant Devil with tainted blood. Well, the Gremory Clan cannot be left with such a powerful and versatile weapon. Are they available for use?" The servant nodded as they took out a pamphlet, a pitch black handprint on it with a white skull in the middle.
"They are at your command, my lord." The figure on the throne smiled maliciously as his violet eyes glimmered with sadistic glee.
"Good. The boy has a contract next week in the Human World. Tell the Dark Creed I want his whispers silenced. Make sure to let them know they must pin it on the Grigori or the Church, whichever one is more possible."
"At once, my lord." The man nodded as he waved his hand dismissively and the servant walked out of the throne.
"Ah Venelana…you're such a naive little girl if you think you can hide this information from my greatest spies. Then again, I taught you everything you know, but not everything I knew." The figure muttered as he stood up and walked to stand in front of the giant window behind the throne, staring at the vast expanse of land, the bright purple sky of the Underworld dotted with stars.
A/N: Another short chapter. I do apologize for the short ones, but these days I seem to either be having a headache or I feel like I'm burning out, considering I have to start on the other stories.
I'm not saying I'm starting to feel like I should stop for a bit, but the stories might start being a little shorter than normal at least until I get my groove back. Who knows? This chapter might be the one to really get me back in the game.
