A/N: An early upload for a legit reason! It's about Friday midnight where I live and in a couple of hours, I'll be far too busy this week and the next one as my cousin is getting married next Saturday. That means I'll be busy with getting fitted for suits and since his mom and her sisters(which includes my mom) want to cater themselves, that means I'll be busy driving and getting groceries.
Next week will be the wedding, which means, depending on the free time I get, I might do another early upload or I might just make it a double upload the next week.
Now, onto the story
Buddha's Palace, Mt. Everest:
A Week Later:
3rd Person POV:
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*
"Come on, gaki! You need to be faster if you want to hit me!" Buddha shouted as he flew around in the air, easily dodging dozens and possibly hundreds of slashes as Isaiah attacked him from all directions while his afterimages blitzed through the air to try and confuse him.
"Oh! Don't you worry! I'm nothing but speed!" Isaiah shouted back as he began to blur, the afterimages becoming nothing more than a blurry dome around Buddha before Storm King's Aura powered to its maximum and the dome turned into a bright blurry star.
Buddha chuckled as his khakkara appeared in his grasp and he began to swing, parrying and diverting each of Isaiah's attacks while also dodging thunderbolts and slapping away tornadoes created by Storm King's Aura.
In the blink of an eye, Isaiah was sent rocketing back to the training ground, Buddha chuckling as he spun his khakkara while the rest of his afterimages disappeared.
"Hey, you okay?!" Buddha shouted with a grin as he floated back down and he chuckled as all he heard was a pained groan.
"Look at it this way. At least you lasted 5 minutes against me with 15% of my full power."
"That doesn't make me feel any better." Isaiah grumbled as he pulled himself out of the ground, shaking his head to get rid of the blurry vision before he stood up on shaky legs.
"Hey, most Gods can't even last against me if I use 10% of my power. You should be lucky." Isaiah just groaned before he smiled in thanks as Bardou walked closer and helped keep him upright.
"Boss~! Save me from this weird old man!" Kuroka's voice echoed across the training ground as she ran as fast as she could.
"The Little wolf can't help you here, kitty! Now, focus and make me unable to move with your space youjutsu!" Wukong exclaimed as he chased after Kuroka with a manic smile while waving around Ruyi like a madman, making Bardou snicker as Isaiah chuckled and Bardou looked amused.
"If you make him stop, you can sleep in my bed tonight!" Isaiah shouted back and Kuroka froze as Wukong grinned before he jumped into the air and just in time too as the air under him distorted before forming a dark purple cubic barrier around his previous position.
"Kuroka needs her cuddles, so get back here!" So, the situation was reversed as Wukong ran around the training ground with a wide grin while Kuroka tried to catch him with barrier after barrier, even throwing in a few elemental magic spells and/ or youjutsu to try and throw him off-balance.
"Oh, looks like you have a contractor." Buddha said with a smirk as he looked down at Isaiah's right wrist, where the Azathoth crest was pulsing. Isaiah also looked down before his eyes lit up as he grinned.
"Nice! Hey…" He trailed off as he turned to Buddha, who just smirked as he tapped a glowing light green finger on Isaiah's chest, making him sigh in relief as all of his wounds disappeared and he felt his energy be fully restored.
"Okay, Bardy. Tell Kuroka that she can take a break and we'll talk about the bed situation after I return." He said to Bardou, who just nodded before the bright blue Azathoth crest appeared under him and with a final nod to the two of them, he disappeared.
Royal Bedroom, Transylvania, Romania:
Isaiah's POV:
As I reappeared from the teleportation circle, I raised an eyebrow at the expensive yet impressive décor around me before I sensed someone to the left and turned.
Sitting on the edge of a very large King-sized bed was a girl in her early twenties, about 20 to 21 years old. Her crimson eyes shone a little in the light of the chandelier above us as she gave me an emotionless stare and she had short blonde hair while being dressed in nothing more than a white sun dress, leaving her feet bare.
"Hello." I greeted with a smile.
"Good evening, Mr. Devil." I frowned slightly as her voice came out stoic, like that of a robot. Not even sounding alive, as if her life was just a program she had to go through.
"You must be the one who called me here. If I may ask, with whom am I speaking?" I asked as I walked closed and she just stared at me as I sat down on the bed next to her before she spoke.
"Valerie Tepes, Queen of the Tepes Faction and a Dhampir. Who are you?" My eyes widened at her name as I realized who she was…right before I had to suppress my budding excitement and greed.
"I'm Isaiah Azathoth, Lord of House Azathoth and Vassal of House Gremory." I greeted with a nod and a smile, but I frowned as she nodded back and then just kept staring at me without saying a word.
"May I ask why you called me here?"
"You may." She responded and I waited for her to speak only for her to keep staring at me.
"Then, Queen Valerie, what is the reason for your calling?"
"I wanted someone to talk with." She said and I just stared at her before I decided to just try my luck.
"Then how about you become a Devil in my peerage and you'll have people to talk to all day long?" She tilted her head at that before she spoke.
"My brother and father will not like that."
"And yet, they're not here to decide for you. You can make the decision all on your own." I said with what I thought to be a convincing smile and she kept staring at me for a long while, making me wonder if she was actually going to accept before I felt my excitement grow even more as she nodded.
"Okay, Mr. Devil. Talk to me all day and I'll join you." She said and I grinned as I reached into my pocket dimension while also stomping my left foot on the ground.
Barrier runes spread out from under my foot and across the room, sealing us away from the outside world and surprisingly, she kept her cool as she looked around at the room before looking back at me.
"I was expecting you to freak out." I said with a smile and she just shrugged.
"The spirits would have told me if something was wrong and then I would have killed you." …You know, something tells me that she was actually speaking the truth as I did feel a bit of an ominous atmosphere in the room, but I thought that was just my cautiousness.
Shaking my head with a smile, and making her tilt her head at me, I pulled out two crimson Bishop pieces before holding them out to her.
"Now, all I have to do-!" I was cut off by her taking the two pieces from my grasp and putting them in her mouth before swallowing them whole, making me quickly place my hand on her chest and let the pieces fuse with her before she digested them.
"Was that not how it was supposed to go?" She asked, looking confused with a cute frown on her face and I sighed as I shook my head and pulled my hand back.
Dear Satans, and I thought looking after Koneko was tough.
"No, but don't worry, I've already turned you into a Devil." I said as I felt the connection of the two bishops in her and she hummed as she nodded before she returned to just staring at me.
"…Want to go back to where I came from?" I asked and she just nodded before I gave a tired chuckle as I created a teleportation crest under me while also releasing all of my runes.
The last thing I saw was a horde of armoured men led by a blonde haired man dressed in noble garb charging into the room and the blonde man shouting at me to stop before we disappeared.
Huh, wonder what took them so long?
Buddha's Palace, Mt. Everest:
As we appeared in front of Buddha's Palace, Valerie looked around in dull curiosity at Buddha's castle before she caught sight of Bardou rushing towards us.
"Hey, Master!" He shouted as he got closed before he slowed down as he caught sight of Valerie standing next to me.
"Oh! Talking doggy! Hello." She waved at him and he grinned and gave her a bark before he turned to me with a raised eyebrow. "
I thought Mistress said only one girl allowed, not two." I just rolled my eyes as I started walking to the palace, with the two of them following after me.
"Don't worry. Valerie doesn't have any interest in me, right Valerie?"
"While I must admit you are handsome, you are unfortunately not my type. Not just that, but according to the spirits, you are already in a relationship with two other women and a possible third woman, so therefore, a womanizer is not at the top of my list of potential mates."
"She does know that a 'no' would have been okay, right?" Bardou whispered to me and I sighed as Valerie glanced between us.
"Unfortunately, I think she wanted to make it crystal clear." I muttered and she nodded as Bardou snickered before we continued walking.
"Another one? Right after you got me?" Kuroka asked as we walked into the dining room and I didn't answer as I pointed to Valerie, who just stared at me.
"Why does every woman want to mate with you? I do not understand." Kuroka looked confused at Valerie's words as I chuckled.
"Believe me, I do not know either. I guess they just like me."Valerie just hummed before she turned to the confused Kuroka.
"Do not worry, Ms. Nekoshou. I do not wish for a place in Lord Azathoth's harem nor do I want to be one of his concubines." She said with a stoic nod before sitting down at the table, making Kuroka glance at me and I shrugged with a smile.
"Valerie, it's okay to call me Isaiah. I'm not that picky on titles and stuff like that."
"It would be improper for me to address you without your title as that would mean that I see myself as an equal to you in social standings, which I do not nor am I. Therefore, it is only correct for me to address you as Lord, Lord Azathoth." She answered back while poking at the toast and I sighed as I sat down next to her, Wukong and Buddha keeping in their laughter.
"Fine. How about Lord Isaiah? Is that alright?"
"It is still improper, but if you insist, I shall address you as Lord Isaiah, Lord Isaiah." I just groaned before I turned to Buddha, who was tearing up from trying not to laugh.
"Alright, let it loose." That broke the dam as Buddha burst out laughing, clutching his sides while Wukong cackled and smacked his hand against the table. I just groaned as Valerie gave them confused stares while Kuroka sat down next to me with a giggle as Bardou snickered and laid down under the table.
"I do not understand the joke." Valerie said and I sighed as Buddha laughed even harder.
"Don't try to, Val. They're just going senile."
"Val? Val…Val…yes, I quite like that name. Lord Isaiah, I ask of you to only address by Val from now on." Valerie said with a nod as she glanced at me and I shrugged as I reached for the toast while slapping Kuroka's hand away from my thigh, making her pout as she crossed her arms and grumbled under her breath.
"Sure thing, Val. Whatever you want." For the first time, she gave a small smile before it disappeared as she went to staring at the cup of coffee in front of her. Picking it up and staring at it intensely, she took a quick sip before her eyes lit up slightly and she took another sip with a slight appreciative hum, making me chuckle as I picked up my own cup and sipped as well.
Ah~Nothing like a cup of Joe to start the day…or continue it…or finish it.
Coffee is life!
The Next Day:
Shakya Training Ground, Buddha's Palace:
"So, what kind of abilities do you have, Val?" I asked as I stood in front of Valerie, who was now dressed in a sports bra, a pair of shorts and bright silver sneakers with her hair done up in a high ponytail.
"Well, I have my Sacred Gear." Valerie said as she raised her hand and three golden chalices appeared floating around her.
Each one exuded at least 15 times the amount of Holy Aura the blades of Blade Blacksmith did and I had to take a slight step back as Kuroka and Bardou decided to just book it off the training field and far away from the energy that was slightly burning them.
"Ah, Sephiroth Graal and a sub-species at that? No wonder it took her two Bishops to be reincarnated." Buddha said with a hum as he walked closer, glancing at each cup and back up at Valerie before he turned to me.
"Val, how long have you been using this?" He asked with a frown as he took out a Peach and I frowned slightly as she shrugged.
"About 5 years or so."
"And did you resurrect and/ or speak with the dead during that time?"
"Yes, my brother and his friend wanted me to resurrect Dragons as well as modify our race to be resistant to their weakness and talk to something called 'The Principals of Life' to find the End of the World." She said and he nodded as he glanced at me before handing over the Peach.
"Her soul is in tatters and barely holding on. It's a miracle she's even able to have coherent thoughts. Feed her a small piece every day for the next month and that should reverse most of the damage. I have something to look up on." He whispered to me and without saying anything further, he along with Wukong disappeared in a golden flash, leaving us all standing on the training ground in confusion as we all glanced at each other before I shrugged.
"Well, I might as well start." I muttered as I created a dagger and sliced off a thin piece from the Peach, holding it out to Valerie. I smiled and nodded as she glanced up at me before she shrugged and took it out of my hands before eating it whole.
The next second, a white-gold glow covered her body and I heard her moan in ecstasy, drawing bewildered stares from us all before the glow disappeared, leaving only her standing there staring at her hands in shock before she smiled and giggled.
"Oh~That was good~!" She moaned again as she hugged herself and I slowly put the Peach away and started walking backwards as she instantly zoned in on me.
"Lord Isaiah, may I have another bite, pretty please?" She asked as she slowly walked closer and I glanced at Kuroka and Bardou, who were both just smirking, before I glanced back at Valerie…
Holy shit! She just got closer.
"Ah, you heard what Buddha said, right? Only once a day."
"Now, he said feed me a small piece every day and that was just a slice. A piece is a bit larger than that, which means you owe me."
"…No." And with that, I turned and bolted, Valerie giggling before I heard the screech of a bat.
Turning my head, my eyes widened as a large swarm of bats were keeping up with me and I accelerated even more. All while Kuroka and Bardou were following after us while laughing their asses off.
Oh, I have such good friends, don't I?
With Buddha & Wukong:
Unknown Location:
3rd Person POV:
"Are you sure she was talking about it?" Wukong asked as he and Buddha reappeared in a dark void and Buddha nodded as he started walking in a random direction while Wukong sighed as he followed after him.
It was not a minute later that a golden dot appeared on the horizon from out of nowhere, growing bigger and bigger as they walked closer until, finally, it was far larger than Mt. Everest itself as they came to a still in front of it.
The bright golden orb was made out of tens of thousands of different runic seals and patterns from every single runic language that existed, each intricately connected with the next one besides, above and below them as they were all seamed together to form one giant runic sphere. Inside of this sphere was a slumbering being.
It was made out of nothing but light that took the shape of a small boy, ten large horns sprouting from its head with five found on each side. Sprouting from its back were six wings: a dragon's wing, a black feathered wing, a white feathered wing, a leathery bat wing, a skeletal wing and a large wing made out of organs that were all slowly pulsing.
"Trihexa, the Apocalypse Beast." Wukong muttered in awe and slight fear as he stared at the being, who was smaller than he was and yet he could feel the restrained power flowing off of it that was easily a hundred times more than his own, if not more.
Buddha didn't say anything as his eyes flickered to and fro across the entire sphere, not finding anything wrong before he zoned in on a runic pattern. It was a simple stasis rune that led into an isolation and boosting rune written in Latin, yet he also saw the small crack on the side of it that led to the 'Energy Siphoning' rune written in Ancient Diviniac on its right.
A small crack, yet it was probably disrupting the power of hundreds, perhaps thousands of other runes connected to it, which in turn, was weakening the cage even more.
With a quick wave of his khakkara, he sealed the cracks and gave a small sigh as he felt the power of the sphere quintuple while the wings on the back of the light being slowly disappeared.
"It's a good thing the gaki found Valerie when he did. Another year or so and anything I did would have just been delaying the inevitable." Buddha muttered as he watched Trihexa sleep.
"So, someone was actually trying to awake this beast?" Wukong asked with his eyebrows raised and Buddha nodded before he gave one final glance at Trihexa and started walking back, with Wukong glancing at the beast warily before following after him.
"Now, however, they can't get back here without Sephiroth Graal, which means that everything is safe for now. However, I need to figure out what kind of lunatic fool would want to unleash this beast." Buddha said with a sigh as he rubbed the back of his head and Wukong nodded before they disappeared from the void in a golden flash once more.
A/N: Another chapter! Another day!
