With Isaiah & Kuroka:
Kuoh Shopping District, Kuoh Town(Destroyed):
3rd Person POV:
"So, what are we going to do if we find them?" Kuroka asked as she and Isaiah walked towards where they thought the centre of the city was supposed to be, Isaiah shrugging as he hummed.
"A simple all-out attack would make sense. After all, I am more of a 'shoot first, ask later' kind of guy." He said with a smile, making Kuroka giggle before they stopped.
"Ah, I see you've finally arrived." Bedeze said with a smile as he stood up from his throne, Yang giggling as she pushed off of his throne and stretched her body.
"You were the one who brought us here. It's not our fault if you placed us that far from the actual battle." Isaiah said with a shrug, making Bedeze roll his eyes before he glanced at Kuroka and Isaiah smiled.
"Don't worry. The ladies will be keeping each other busy while you and I have a chat."
"Ah, good, I would rather not have her interfere with our lovely conversation. Yang, if you would."
"Your wish is my command. Come on, kitty, follow me." She said with a smile as she unfurled her wings and took off to the far back of the city, Kuroka giving Isaiah a final kiss before she followed after him as it left the two men staring at each other.
A Few Seconds Later:
Kuoh Residential District:
"This good enough for our fight?" Yang asked as she landed on the ground with a hard thud, Kuroka landing gracefully a few feet away from her and she glanced around before she nodded.
"It will suffice. I must ask, what piece are you?" Kuroka asked and Yang smiled as she shrugged.
"I'm the only Rook of the peerage. If you're wondering where the Queen is, Lord Bedeze doesn't have a Queen." She explained and Kuroka nodded before Yang grinned.
"No more questions? Good, then let's begin." Yang didn't waste any time as she bolted forward, a dark orange aura covering her fists before she skidded to a stop in front of the black-haired Nekoshou and sent a jab flying forward.
Kuroka frowned as she moved out of the way while also sending her own punch flying at Yang's side only to frown as Yang took it with a grin before sending another jab towards her.
Kuroka then tried to parry it before her eyes widened at Yang's smirk and she pushed herself backwards, thankfully just in time as a monstrous explosion covered the air where she previously was.
"Huh, you're didn't try to block it like most devils. I'm impressed." Yang said with a smile as she waved her hand and dispersed the smoke, Kuroka frowning at that as Yang went back to standing in a simple boxing stance.
'Was that a Sacred Gear? No, I felt demonic energy being used. Perhaps an explosive spell, then? That seems to be the only option, but that just makes close combat with her a nightmare.' Kuroka thought with a groan as she watched Yang's every move, the boxer just hopping from side to side on the balls of her feet as she didn't dare risk coming closer.
Kuroka then sighed before she shook her head, lifting her hands up as twin Azathoth crests appeared in the palms of her hands.
"Oh?" Yang raised an eyebrow as she watched twin flame whips appear from the crests and wrapped around her hands, giving a slight smile as Kuroka readied herself.
'Thank the Satans Isaiah made everyone learn how to fight with weapons.' She thought with a smile before she bolted forward, spinning through the air before whipping her arm forward.
The flame whip sung as it lashed through the air, an explosive punch from Yang creating a smoke screen as she weaved out of the way and bolted forward.
Kuroka didn't let her as she danced with the whips, creating a protective shell around her and stopping the brawler in her tracks. Yang frowned as she watched Kuroka swinging her whips around her body before she grinned as she dashed to the side, weaving and ducking in-between the whips as she made her way to the Nekoshou.
Kuroka smirked as she watched the boxer get closer before her whips were swiftly extinguished and she stomped her foot on the ground & Yang's eyes widened as a dark purple cube appeared around her, snapping her fingers as dozens of dark purple orbs appeared floating inside the barrier.
Kuroka waved at Yang as she sealed the barrier off, Yang frowning as all of the orbs glowed brightly before they blasted forward and bombarded her area. Kuroka watched as explosion after explosion made the barrier ripple, watching as a dense cloud of smoke appeared inside of it before her eyes widened as a fist crashed into the barrier wall and shattered it with a destructive explosion.
"I was trying to be nice and then you go and end everything quickly. Fine, I guess you want to die that badly." Yang said with a shrug as she walked out of the smoke with just a bit of ash on her shoulders, throwing off her jacket as she reached into her pockets and pulled out a pair of gloves.
Putting the gloves on, Kuroka frowned slightly in confusion as Yang put the gloves on before her eyes widened as Yang clenched her fists and the gloves transformed into clawed gauntlets with three circular valves in between the knuckles.
"Get ready, little girl." She said before she bolted forward, the valves glowing a bright orange and Kuroka quickly created a series of shields in front of her as Yang's fist flashed forward.
All ten barriers were broken in the blink of an eye and Kuroka yelped as she moved out of the way, hissing as the heat from the explosions burned at her hands. Yang was not done as she continued towards the falling Nekushou-Devil and Kuroka growled as she flipped to her feet, a pair of dark blue gauntlets covering her hands before she dashed at the brawler.
A fist fight ensued as the two swung at each other, Kuroka ducking and weaving around explosive punches while Yang took attack after attack and continued swinging. A right hook from Kuroka to Yang's jaw was tanked with practised ease as Yang continued to land a quick jab into Kuroka's chest, the Queen wheezing air as the breath was knocked out of her before the follow-up explosion sent her skidding back.
'God damn it! How the hell do you take her out? Not only do I have to worry about her durability and endurance as a Rook as well as those explosions, but I'm also certain she has a Sacred Gear that's letting her take my attacks.' Kuroka cursed in her head with a frown as she watched the Rook bouncing leisurely on the balls of her feet before she blitzed forward once again.
Kuroka just frowned before she traced dark purple sigils with her finger through the air and Yang instantly stopped in her tracks as a thick, purple fog slowly appeared from thin air.
'A poison user? Well, that sucks.' Yang grumbled to herself as she clenched her fist before swinging one forward, the ground under her cracking as a large explosion blew away most of the fog only for her to frown as the fog was quickly replaced.
The fog, however, distracted her from Kuroka appearing out of thin air behind her and Yang's instincts were too late as Kuroka delivered a devastating roundhouse to the side of her head.
She was sent skidding across the ground, but Kuroka didn't let an opportunity go to waste as she flew after Yang's ragdolling form.
Unexpectedly, Yang grinned at Kuroka's wide eyes as she quickly flipped upright, dragging her feet through the ground as she pulled a glowing fist back before swinging it upwards in an uppercut. Kuroka gasped as a concentrated explosion smashed into her chest, sending her rocketing upwards as Yang quickly flew after her and smashed her body back into the ground with a heavy hammer strike.
'…I swear, if I survive this…Isa owes me more than a massage.' Kuroka groaned as her vision spun, barely able to hear anything but an echoing thud next to her lying form and as she blinked a few times, her vision cleared to reveal Yang grinning at her
. "You survived? Huh, I guess you're not as fragile as you look." She said with a smile, only to grow confused at Kuroka's giggle.
"…I…I can't believe…you fell for it…" Kuroka gasped out before she disappeared like a mirage, Yang's eyes widening as time slowed down. Yang slowly turned her head to the side to see a grinning Kuroka next to her before a boot covered her vision.
Yang didn't get a chance to gasp in pain as whips of fire wrapped around her limbs and pulled her back, Kuroka creating an orb filled with the poisonous mist before she forced it into her mouth and dispersed the orb. Yang coughed and gasped for air as Kuroka jumped back, wincing as she felt pain from landing on her fractured foot.
'That's what I get for kicking a damn Rook in the face with just Touki as a protective barrier.' She thought with a frown as she watched the Rook wheeze for air, coughing up cloud after cloud of purple smoke to try and get the poison out.
"Hughah! That's! Arghahauhw! That's it! Balance BREAK!" Yang roared after she coughed most of the mist out, Kuroka's eyes widening as a dark crimson glow covered Yang's form. Her skin turned a reddish-pink, her eyes glowing a dark crimson and bright yellow flames burning around her hair as she tensed before leaping towards the Nekoshou.
"Sturdy Saint's Inferno!" Yang bellowed as she pulled her fist back before launching it forward, Kuroka's eyes widening as she leapt back as far as she could. A humongous explosion ripped through the district, destroying any building that was still standing and the rubble as Kuroka yelped inside the quick barrier she created around herself.
'Satan damn it! I swear Sacred Gears are nothing but cheat tools!' She yelled in her mind as she unfurled her wings and flew away, destruction and fire following in her wake as Yang launched explosive fist after explosive fist, trying to burn the cat to cinders.
'If this goes on, we'll be getting to places where the others are and I can't let that happen. I suppose it's time I used the new move.' Kuroka thought with a frown and a sigh before she raised her hand.
In an instant, dozens upon dozens of clones bolted in different directions, Yang's eyes widening as they formed a sphere around her before they all flew towards her.
Yang roared as she smashed her fist together, a bright dome of orange light covering her form from view before a deafening explosion ripped through the air in all directions, the clones not standing a chance as it destroyed them all.
Yang took deep gulps of air as she looked around, trying to find Kuroka before she twisted around as she felt the air shift and grinned at Kuroka kicking at her. Quickly moving around the attack, she caught Kuroka's leg and as she went for a punch, her eyes widened as the Kuroka in her grasp disappeared like a mirage and another appeared out of thin air.
'I can't get to her.' Yang thought in shock as Kuroka was in her guard, making it too late to stop her as Kuroka raised her hand towards her stomach,
Flashback, 1 Year Ago:
Shakya Training Ground, Buddha's Palace:
"So, you want to help me create my own move?" Kuroka asked with a raised eyebrow and Isaiah shrugged.
"Yeah. Bardou has his Hellhound Transformations, Samson has his Berserker form, Meredith, Issei, Saji and Valerie have their Balance Breakers and I have my Balance Breakers as well as Abyss Break. That only leaves you without your own unique move." He said with a smile, to which she just sighed.
"Fine, I know you won't stop pestering me about it, so what did you have in mind for my new signature move?" She asked and he grinned excitedly.
"Well, I wanted to know…can you make one of those explosive orbs without the explosions in them?" He asked, to which she didn't answer as she created an empty purple sphere in her grasp.
"Cool. Now, can you create a bit of yoki inside the orb and spin it in a horizontal direction?" She frowned at the strange request, but released a bit of her yoki into the sphere before she formed it into a halo and spun it in one direction. Isaiah frowned at the orb before he shook his head.
"Not that slow. Spin it faster."
"Is there a reason for all this?" She asked and he grinned as he nodded.
"Yep, just trust me." She sighed as she nodded and made the energy spin faster, making Isaiah grin as he nodded.
"Good! Good! Now, while you keep spinning that energy in one direction, send more yoki to the sphere and this time, spin it vertically." She frowned before she nodded, a bit of sweat dripping from her forehead as she released more energy and formed it into a halo, spinning it vertically to the first halo of spinning energy she created. "Good! Now, create another one and spin it in the opposite direction of the horizontal energy. Then, when you've perfected that, create another halo and spin it in the opposite direction of the other vertical energy. Then, do the same for four diagonal haloes and then redo the process all over again but on a smaller scale."
"…With that many spinning in different direction, it would be like placing your hand in a jagged meat grinder." Kuroka said in realization and Isaiah grinned as he nodded.
"Exactly and when you fully perfect it, it will be your own portable meat grinder orb. We'll call it…"
Flashback End:
Back to the Future:
"Rasengan." Kuroka whispered as the purple sphere of doom appeared in her grasp and Yang could only give a silent scream of agony as the sphere tore through her defences with ease and continued grinding into her organs.
Kuroka gritted her teeth as she pushed it further before yelling as she pushed Yang away as hard as she could, Yang unable to stop herself from corkscrewing through the air as the Rasengan bulldozed her through rubble and asphalt.
Kuroka watched as the Rasengan carried away before it expanded rapidly, grinding Yang's body to pieces until there was nothing but a puddle of blood splashing onto the ground.
"Fuck! Shit! Crap! Damnit! Satan Fucking Hell! Shit!" Kuroka cursed as she cradled her right arm to her chest, groaning in pain as she felt the fractured bones and torn muscles.
'Why didn't Isaiah think of the backlash? Oh right, he probably made the move for himself.' She groaned as she felt the feedback from trying to keep the Rasengan in place and if it wasn't for the fact that she created a series of barriers around her hand, her arm would have been ripped clean off.
"Note to self: Find a way to make that a long-range move." She grumbled as she slowly walked towards the centre, hoping that Valerie was there to help heal her arm.
Otherwise, Isaiah was going to have a lot of explaining and apologizing to do for the next millennia.
