I woke up with a yawn as the morning sun hit my eyes through the windows of my bedroom, and I tried to get up. But as usual, I found that rather difficult as my body was clung to by two different bodies that were hugging mine.

Those bodies being that of my girlfriends, and they were the reason I considered myself the luckiest man alive, well outside of the fact that I had been adopted by the richest man in the world.

But that was just a minor detail.

"Hey, you two, it's time to get up," I said as I tried to escape the lock they had on my body.

"Hmm, five more minutes," Raynare Arc, a childhood friend of the very busty category, said as she locked my right hand between her immense bosom.

"Yeah, too early, it's a weekend, we can sleep in," Yuza Arc, sister of Raynare and was the tomboy childhood friend, as she was more sporty and had a smaller chest than her older twin sister. Though if you looked at them you wouldn't be able to tell.

And yes I had managed to bag siblings who were very much willing to have fun with each other.

"I know, but we have things we need to do," I replied. They were always like this, but that was what I loved about them.

"Rama, tell your dad that whatever he mentioned yesterday can wait until noon," Raynare groaned, though she did get up.

And that was my name, Rama Kaiba, the adopted son of Seto Kaiba. The man behind the virtual world of Link VRAINS, which was basically internet two. As it was pretty much used for everything as that was where, people went to work, hung out if they lived far apart, and also the best place to play a game of Duel Monsters.

Though the fact that it was Kaiba ran, it was a bit surprising, as I was sure that Kaiba had not existed in this world of Yu-Gi-Oh Vrains variant that I had reincarnated into.

Though at first, I thought it was an AU upon meeting Raynare and Yuza as they were clearly expies of Z-arc and Ray from Arc-V, a show that I had wished I had actually watched, alongside VRAINS. But thankfully, it seemed that I didn't need to deal with the plot of that as whatever version of the plot of the series that had occurred in this world seemed to already have passed or wouldn't even occur as I had heard nothing about those knight guys, I believed to be the main bad guys, and the AIs that Kaiba Corp. employed seemed to have decided to not have an AI revolution and were full citizens, even though they still liked to be a companion to humans.

All three of us had an AI, that lived in our Duel Disks.

And now I was getting off-topic; the reason why I had believed the world to be an AU, and Yuza and Raynare were just expies(Genderbend included), same with my dad being Seto 'fucking' Kaiba. Instead of something more, it was simple.

Link Monsters.

The were the only extra deck monsters available, and that there really weren't any other alarm bells.

But that had changed two years ago then…

I smiled as I walked through the halls of Kaiba Corp. Building as I had just finished another shift as one of the company's premiere anti-hacker duelists.

As due to Link VRAINS, being an all-digital world that connected people to each other as the old internet once had, meant there were a lot of hackers and other criminal elements that needed to be combated.

It actually reminded me of how Digimon Cyber Sleuth did things, though, with Duel Monsters instead of Digital Monsters.

This meant hacking was actually a lot more 'physical' and closer to movie hacking than the old social engineering that it used to be.

And so things were settled through duels.

"Waah, man, that last guy just wouldn't give up; the nerve of the guy," The voice of his AI companion, Dark Ignis, an Ignis AI, who mimicked his form after one of his Link Monsters Scareclaw Light-Heart. But Rama just called him Iggy. Who was currently floating around his head? Solid Vision was truly something.

"Yeah, but we and the others beat them," I replied.

"That we did," Iggy said with a laugh, though as we walked, the alarm suddenly echoed throughout the building.

"Intruder alert, Intruder Alert, unknown individual detected in the Formula Room." The system AI stated.

"Boss, that is bad," Iggy stated.

"You don't say," I said back as I lifted up my wrist and hit the comms on my Duel Disk. "This is Phopia of Team 7. I am heading for the Formula Room to intercept the intruder due to proximity, over."

"We hear you, Phobia; the system is still detecting the intruder within the Formula Room, over." Security responded.

"Roger," I replied as I ran as fast as I could towards what was probably the second most important room in the building outside of the Link Vrains servers themselves. That was the Formula Room, which was what analyzed the energy of Duel Monsters to make new cards, especially Link monsters, as it was connected to the Data Storm so Link Energy could be harnessed.

I entered the room, and the guards who had been guarding the place missing, as if they had just vanished from the face of the earth.

I entered the room, filled with computers and serves, and in the center of it, was the visual representation of the Data Storm as it existed within Link Vrains, and working one of the computers was an obviously shady-looking cloaked individual.

"Hey you, step away from the computer; you are under arrest," I stated.

"Aren't you a little young to be a cop?" The person asked; they turned around to face me, though sadly, their face was shadowed, so I couldn't actually see what they looked like under the hood.

"I am Phophia of Kaiba Corp's Cyber Security, I normally handle hackers in VRAINS, but you seem to be engaging in some more old-school corporate espionage," I said.

"I guess you could call this corporate espionage, though I just want the basic formula for Link Monsters; the Professor has need of it," Hood said.

"Professor?" I asked. Who the fuck was the professor?

"Oops, said a little too much, but hey, they said no witnesses; I hope you put up more of a fight than those guards did."

"What did you do to them?" I asked

"You will find out," At that Hood brought out a Duel Disk Model that I had never seen before.

"I won't, so what is your name?" I asked as I activated my own Duel Disk, Iggy returning to it as he was the main operating system for it.

"You can call me Haou, Phobia since you haven't given me your real name, you can have mine," Haou stated, and why did that name make me slightly nervous?

"Connecting Duel Disk, Engaging Master Duel Mode. Roll the dice!" Iggy announced as the dice were rolled to determine who went first.

4 for Haou.

6 for me.

"I go first!" I declared.

Haou LP: 8000

Phobia LP: 8000

And I looked at my hand, Acro, Astra, and two Belone alongside a Link into the Vrains. "First of I will summon Scareclaw Acro in attack position."

"A 0 attack monster?" Haou asked.

"Yes, but he won't stay around for long, Appear! The circuit that leads to the land of beasts! Arrowheads confirmed!" I chanted. "The summoning condition is one Scareclaw Monster. I set Scareclaw Acro in the Link Marker."

As the Link Portal that had manifested while I had been chanting absorbed Acro, it turned the left arrow red.

"Circuit combine! Link Summon! Link-1! Scareclaw Light-Heart(500ATK Link-1)!" And at that, the chibi monster appeared on the field.

"…Did you just summon a Chibi version of yourself?" Haou asked.

"Yes…" I answered as Light-Heart and a certain other monster in my Deck bore great resemblance to myself, namely the long multi-colored green and black hair. "But I am not done yet; if Light-Heart is Link Summoned in the Extra Monster Zone, I can add one Primitive Planet Reichophobia to my hand!"

"Reichophobia? I guess you are all about fear Phobia?" Haou asked.

"Yes, you shall be a part of the cycle of fear Haou, now, welcome to my world, I activate the Field Spell - Primitive Planet Reichophobia!" I said as the landscape around us changed into that of a mountainous landscape and forests.

"How pretty," Haou said mockingly.

"Yes, but once this alien world has been called forth, the beasts come out to play as then I activate Primitive Planet Reichophobia; I can add a Scareclaw Monster to my hand. And I add the leader of the beasts, Scareclaw Reichheart, who will immediately Special Summon to a Monster Zone that is adjacent to another Scareclaw Monster that I control." As the adult version of Light-Heart appeared on the field.

"Let me guess, they can all be special summoned like that?" Haou asked.

"You are correct in your assumption, and then Scareclaw Reichheart is Special Summoned. I can add a Scareclaw Spell/Trap to my hand." And with that, I looked over my cards and decided that…"Scareclaw Defanging, which I will immediately play."

"You done?" Haou mockingly asked.

"Not yet. I will then Special Summon Scareclaw Belone and Scareclaw Astra to the field." The weaponized animals growled at Haou as they appeared. "Next, the Summoning Condition is 3 effect monsters I set, Light-Heart, Reichheart, and Astra in the Link Marker. Circuit combine! I Link Summon! Come forth! Link-3 Scareclaw Tri-Heart!" I finished as on the field appeared my boss monster, a fusion of Reichheart and his mighty beasts.

"Scare," Haou said.

"You should be, I use Scareclaw Tri-Heart's effect, one per turn, and he can Special Summon a Level 3 Scareclaw monster from my Grave. And I choose Scareclaw Acro, and afterward, I can add 1 Scarclaw monster from Deck to my hand; I will get another Reichheart!"

"With that, I end my turn," I said.

"I finally, I never thought you would finish, geeze turns take so long here," Haou stated.

Here? I thought what did he mean by that.

"I draw," Haou said. "Well, first off, I am going to summon Evil HERO Infernal Gainer in Attack Position."

…What?

What did he just? Thought as the Monster appeared on the field, though it was immediately switched to Defense Position.

"What? Why is he in Defense?" Haou asked, which shook me out of my thoughts.

"Thanks to the continuous effect of my Scareclaw Tri-Heart, all Attack Position Monsters go into Defense Position," I explained as I still tried to rationalize how this guy had a HERO card.

"Tsch, how annoying," Haou said. "And also, you just had to get a card from the Grave. I activate the Spell Card – Evil Mind; if I have a Fiend Monster on the field, I can activate effects depending on how many monster cards are in your graveyard. Since you have less than four, I just get to draw a card."

I watched as he did so.

"I will then activate the Spell Card – Dark Calling, allowing me to Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck that can made using Dark Fusion."

And like that, my world crashed.

"I will fuse my Elemental Hero Sparkman and Elemental HERO Clayman, dark thunder of evil, dark clay of evil, come together to form a new villain. Fusion Summon! Level 6! Evil HERO Lightning Golem!" Haou chanted, and with a thunderous boom, the other Extra Monster Zone was filled with a fiend of earth and thunder. "Hmm, so Extra Deck cards can truly only be summoned to the extra Monster Zone here. The professor was correct; other dimensions lack the necessary energies."

"Who… Who are you and what, how?" I asked as words failed me.

"This is Fusion Summoning another method to mix together monsters to bring forth an even mightier creature. While it might be in Defense, Lightning Golem can still use his effect, so I will destroy that Link Monster of yours!"

At that, Lightning Golem roared and fired a massive blast of lightning at Scareclaw Tri-Heart, but then suddenly, Belone jumped forward and took the hit.

"What?" Haou asked in shock. "Why wasn't it destroyed?"

"That is the effect of my Scareclaw Defanging; my Link Monsters can't be Target or Destroyed by Card Effects, meaning something else had to take the hit," I said as I looked at the impossibility before me.

"Fine, I will end my turn," Haou said.

"I draw, and this Duel is over," I said. "So, I special Summon Reichheart and Belone in defense position, and since I Special Summoned Scareclaw Reichheart, I can add a Scareclaw Spell or Trap to my hand. And also, if there are 3 or more cards in Defense Position on the field, I can draw a card."

"What an annoying card," Haou said.

"This will annoy you even more; I Tri-Heart will special summon Scareclaw Astra back to the field, which allows the Scareclaw in my Extra Monster Zone to make attacks equal to the number of Defense Position Scareclaw Monsters on my side of the field."

"Oh no," Haou said.

"I think you mean, oh yeah. Intruder." I said. "Battle Phase! Scareclaw Tri-Heart, Phantasmal Phobia Slash!"

Scareclaw Tri-Heart cleaved through the monsters with force before he hit Haou and actually launched back at the console he had been working on.

"Haou's Life Points have hit Zero; the winner is Phobia!" Iggy declared.

"So you ready for interrogation, intruder? There are many questions you need to-" I stopped speaking.

Why?

Because I was currently being choked out by a very, very angry-looking Yubel who had her hands around my throat.

"Thanks for assist, Yubel," Haou said as he got back up, the hood falling off his head. I could see past Yubel the familiar face of one Jaden Yuki. Though his eyes were a piercing yellow, his face smiling as he removed something from the console.

A data drive.

"But the duel was just a stalling tactic to get the download completed. See you, Phobia, you duel just as well as he does," Jaden/Haou said, and in a flash of light, he and Yubel vanished from the Formula Room.

And I dropped to the ground as the being that had been lifting me had vanished.

We had learned of the existence of other dimensions and that an agent from what was dubbed the Fusion Dimension had stolen the source formula for Link Monsters. And I had given the credence to the idea that Raynare and Yuza were not just expies, but more dimensional counterparts, just ones who bore the closest approximation to their original selves in comparison to Yuya and Yuzu from what little I could remember of Arc-V's plot.

But one thing was for certain, I knew that it was imperative to stop Yuza from dueling her alternate selves if this was what was truly going on.

The phantom sensation of Yubel's claws around my hand and neck still haunted me a little.

But thanks to my perfect girlfriends, I have managed to conquer the fear of that memory, for I was Phobia, I was fear.

"Rama, you're in deep thoughts again," Raynare said, and I noticed that we were out of bed and were finishing putting clothes on.

Yuza was wearing a sleeveless black sweater with grey jeans, while Raynare was wearing a fused business suit-skirt combo, that clung to her curves and created a deep cleavage, as it could barely contain her giant breasts.

While I just wore a Metallica t-shirt, and a pair of torn jeans.

"Sorry, was thinking about…" I began, but I trailed off with Yuza and Raynare looking at me with sympathy.

"You, Rama, a message from your pops, meeting in an hour with the entirety of team 7," Iggy informed us.

"Thanks, Iggy," I replied. "Well, let's get our breakfast."

"Yeah, let's do that before the big man gets impatient."

Seto Kaiba sat in his chair as he looked at the three eighteen-year-olds who had just entered his office, the three brightest duelists that Kaiba Corp had ever produced, having graduated to a three-security team way earlier than anyone had over the twenty-five years Link Vrains had existed and had required duelists to protect it and the people that used it.

One was his son, a boy he had adopted on a whim thirteen years ago, a contrast to how he had gotten Gosoboru to adopt him and Mokuba so many, many years ago.

The other two were his fiancés, sisters who had decided they were willing to share the man the man they both loved.

And there were only three people in the world he trusted with the current missions.

"Phobia, Z-arc, and Raya of Team 7, I've called you here today for, as you know, Kaiba Corp two years ago was infiltrated by an individual not of this dimension who stole a copy of the Link Formula. This was what led us to discover that other dimensions exist, where other methods of Extra Deck Summoning exist." He hit a button, and a screen descended behind him. "Around us exists four other Dimensions. That exists on a fourth-dimensional axis. We sent probes to those dimensions, and we learned what kind of mechanics they used. To the metaphorical left, there is Fusion Energy; above us, we have XYZ; to the right, we have Synchro; and below, we have Standard."

"Standard, sir?" Raya asked.

"It is the only dimension where there is an overabundance of all the Extra Deck Energies, though they do not seem to know how to harness Link Energy like we do due to a lack of a Cyber Realm. You can call it the root Dimension from where all the other energy flows, going first up to ours, where it then distributes the energy to the other Dimensions." Seto explained.

"Like a Link Arrow," Zarc stated.

"Correct, though in the XYZ Dimension, which we have detected with our probe an increase in Fusion Energy, so that means our enemy is doing something there," Kaiba said.

"So I guess you want us to go and investigate dad?" Phobia asked.

"Yes, and see if you can learn to harness Xyz energy for yourself and four Kaiba Corp, so that we can combat whatever fusion is up to," Seto said.

"Understood." They said, and Seto Kaiba could only smile.
