Satoru leans against the wall with Koushi in his arms. He bounces Koushi while Megumi explains what he knows about the curse-related coma plaguing Tsumiki. Kagome nods every so often and then walks around the hospital bed. Her hair falls forward as she bends her head closer to Tsumiki. He sucks in a breath. Everything she does turns him on.

"I'll put up a barrier just in case," Kagome says, standing straight. She looks right at him, or rather, she looks at Koushi. "No teleporting."

Koushi turns his head and grabs Satoru's jacket.

Kagome rolls her eyes.

"I can put up a veil," Megumi says, holding two fingers out in front of him. Kagome scrunches her nose and shakes her head.

"No need. I'd rather not risk your veil breaking because of my purification. On second thought, Megumi go stand next to Satoru. I'm going to put up two barriers. One around you three and one around the room."

Satoru raises his eyebrows. Two barriers? Other than Tengen, he can't think of anyone who has such fine precision with their veils. Megumi walks over to him but stands at a distance. Satoru snorts. Megumi can't seriously be afraid of little Koushi.

"You scared?"

Megumi whips his head around and glares at him. "I am not scared of a baby."

"I didn't ask what you were afraid of," Satoru chortles. He laughs until he snorts. Megumi's face turns red, and it only makes Satoru laugh harder. He stops mid-laugh at the feel of Kagome's powers washing over them. The barrier is a light pink. He can see perfectly out of it. It's as though Kagome put them in a bubble.

"What kind of barrier is this?" Megumi asks, placing a hand on the interior.

Satoru shrugs. A priestess one? More impressive is that Kagome doesn't chant before making one. She didn't chant last night either. Koushi lets go of Satoru's jacket and then looks at his chubby hands.

Satoru pokes the inside of his cheek with his tongue. Is Koushi trying to mimic his mama?

"A normal barrier," Kagome answers, looking back at them briefly. "It keeps you protected."

"Most veils work to keep people in, though you can sacrifice that if there's one person or thing you want to keep from getting in or out." Satoru moves Koushi closer to Megumi, just to mess with him. Megumi scowls and flashes Koushi a smile when he thinks Satoru isn't looking.

Kagome hums in acknowledgment, but she doesn't comment any further. She places her hands on Tsumiki, and it is a shame that Satoru can't get the full picture of her at work. He huffs. So not fair.

The room turns an interesting shade of pink. He can see her energy, but he can't feel the rise of it because of this barrier. Satoru pouts. He wants to feel it on his skin until it seeps into his bloodstream. Koushi yawns and his eyes flutter close. Satoru rocks Koushi while he resists the urge to bounce himself. He wants to know everything that is going on right now.

It feels like an eternity, but the light dies down and Kagome wipes her forehead with the back of her hand. The monitors beep and Tsumiki struggles to sit up. Megumi gasps and takes a step forward, but the barrier is still in place, and he can't get out.

"Oh, sorry," Kagome says, taking a step back from the bed. The barrier around them falls, but the barrier around the room remains. Satoru walks over to Kagome's side while Megumi rushes to Tsumiki.

"How powerful was the seal?"

Kagome opens her mouth and then closes it. She crosses her arms and runs her hands up and down them. "It wasn't so much of a seal as there was something inside of her. Another woman." Kagome moves closer to him. "Something or someone may have put that inside of her. Are there any others in a similar coma?"

"How do you know someone put that in Tsumiki? What if she was born with it?" Not that he believes that, but he's curious to hear Kagome's thoughts.

"Because the woman kept muttering about how she needed to see Sukuna for their wedding. And I just figured because of—"

"I get it," he interrupts. Satoru shakes his head to motion to Kagome that they will talk about Sukuna's fingers later. "I never noticed anything strange about Tsumiki when she was younger. Interesting my eyes couldn't figure it out and Shoko wasn't able to find anything abnormal either." He smiles. "Thanks for healing her."

"Of course." Kagome looks at Koushi, who is fast asleep in Satoru's arms, and fidgets with her fingers. She must be used to always having Koushi in her arms. Carefully, Satoru holds Koushi out and Kagome snatches Koushi so fast that Satoru gets whiplash.

Well then.

"Tsumiki, how are you feeling?" Satoru asks, walking to the foot of the bed. Tsumiki smiles, but it's weak, and it seems to take everything in her to sit up. It has been months since she's been awake. Her body must be weak. The hospital gown is oversized on her as well.

"Like something isn't on my chest anymore," she replies. "Are we going home now?"

"Shoko should check you out first. I'm not sure if we should move you just yet."

Tsumiki nods, though a flash of sadness crosses her face. Megumi grabs a chair and places it next to Tsumiki's side. He plops down on it and leans back.

"I'll stay here until Ieiri-san gives the okay for Tsumiki to go home."

"Megumi!" Tsumiki coughs. "It could be days or weeks before then."

Satoru pulls out his phone and sends a message to Shoko. "I'll take care of your mission tonight. Just let Yuji and Nobara know they don't have to worry about it." He slides his phone back into his pocket. "What?"

"You're taking my mission?"

"Didn't you just say you were gonna stay here all night? It's fine. Everyone has had a long twenty-four hours." Satoru walks around the bed and pats Tsumiki's head. "Take it easy. We'll have your favorite desserts when you get out."

Tsumiki nods as her hands fist the cover. She looks up at Kagome and smiles. "Thank you. I feel oddly refreshed, though my body is weak."

"I purified the spirit that was inhabiting your body," Kagome replies. She shrugs as though it is no big deal. As if she didn't just do something others couldn't. Kagome walks over to Satoru and when she looks up at him, his stomach tightens. He likes the way her gaze feels. She holds Koushi out slightly. "This is Koushi, your little brother."

"Huh?"

Satoru coughs. "Not biologically. Tsumiki and Megumi aren't actually my kids."

Kagome blinks. "You took them in when you were a teenager?"

"Something like that, yeah." He wraps an arm around Kagome. "But to piggyback off of what Kagome was saying, yes, Koushi is like a brother to you, so be nice to him, Megumi."

"Why are you singling me out?" Megumi glares. Tsumiki pokes Megumi's cheek and holds a finger to her lips. Megumi rolls his eyes, but the smile on his face gives him away. "Don't you have work to do?"

"Such a charmer, Megumi," Satoru coos as he directs Kagome towards the door. "Shoko is on the way. If you need me, just call." He closes the door behind him and resists the urge to wrap his arm around Kagome again. She didn't shrug him off when they were in the room, but would she sidestep his advances now?

"We'll head over to the apartment after Koushi wakes up from his nap. You're leaving the car again?"

"Yeah, I'll leave the car for you two. Do you need your own?"

"No, the train system works fine."

Satoru nods as he opens the door for Kagome. He hovers like an idiot as he waits for her to get Koushi strapped into the car seat. Kagome raises a brow and then sighs when he beats her to the passenger door. "I enjoy getting the door for you," he tells her. Kagome slides into the seat and shakes her head.

"You don't have to rush around the car to get the door for me."

Satoru smiles. It's not that he doesn't hear what she is saying, but that he needs to get the door for her. Sure, he likes to show off from time to time in front of his peers or when showing off jujutsu for his students, but this? This need to show a better side of himself to her is so strong that he is powerless to fight against it.

He doesn't want to fight against it.

This need to please her is stronger than his need for oxygen.

Satoru walks around the car and slides into the driver's seat. His fingers tap on the wheel as they drive off. He doesn't want to scare her away, but subtly is not his forte. "Just let me know what time the showing is tomorrow. We can all go together."

Kagome pulls out her phone. "I honestly forgot about that with everything else going on. You sure you want to look at that house?"

"Did you want a bigger one? We'd have to move out of the city."

"I was thinking more so the price..." She presses her lips together as her thumbs fly over the keyboard. "Well, it's your money. I guess."

Satoru pokes the inside of his cheek with his tongue. It is his money, but it's also their money now. "Forget about the price. Do you like it?"

"From what I've seen online? Yeah, it's a beautiful home." Kagome sets her phone down on her lap. "I scheduled it for 11 tomorrow, so we can grab lunch after."

"I can make that." Mentally, he goes through tomorrow's schedule. Actually, he should check with Ijichi to make sure nothing got moved around because of last night. Satoru reaches for Kagome's hand and holds it the rest of the way to the shrine. When they get there, he grabs Koushi out of the backseat even though he wants to rush around the car and get the door for Kagome. "Here are the keys," he says, holding Koushi with one arm. "Later we can get you a new car or you can just keep driving this one since Ijichi usually drives me around to my missions, anyway."

Kagome stares at the keys in her palm and then she looks at him with confusion. "I..." She huffs. "I don't get why you are going this far, but fine."

He can't tell if that is a good fine or a bad fine.

"Thanks for indulging me."

"You have strange tastes," Kagome comments. "About the hospital. I got rid of the person inhabiting Tsumiki's body. She kept asking if Sukuna was around because she needed to see him for their wedding." Kagome pulls out her keys and unlocks the door. "And the object was similar to that finger, but not nearly as strong."

Satoru slides his shoes off and follows Kagome to the living room. She sits down on the couch and holds out her hands for Koushi. "I want to keep you purifying the fingers under wraps," he tells her as he carefully passes Koushi to her. Satoru squats down so he isn't towering over her. "For one, Sukuna has been incarnated. Yuji, my student, is Sukuna's vessel."

"Those fingers were evil."

"Yeah." He rubs the back of his neck. "It's a long story. But right now, Yuji has a looming execution date. Once he eats all the fingers, Sukuna should die when Yuji dies." He frowns. "I don't want that to happen. He's just a kid. My plan was always to hide the last finger so the date would never come."

Kagome brushes her fingers over Koushi's hair. "Bring the fingers to me and I'll just purify them. We can talk about purifying this Sukuna out of Yuji after." She reaches over and touches his blindfold. "I've been meaning to ask what the deal is with this. Is it a bondage thing?"

His ears burn. Bondage? "You want to tie me up?"

Kagome snorts. "You'd like it too much."

Yeah. He'd love it if she used him. "It's because of the six eyes. My brain can get overloaded, so to lessen the strain, I wear a blindfold or my shades to block some of the information my eyes take in. I can still see just fine."

"Does Koushi need special glasses?"

"Not yet." Satoru tilts his head to the side. "Though I have no idea how his energy works. I mean, I know how his cursed energy works, but it's the side of you I'm not sure about. I use reverse curse energy to refresh my brain since I have infinity running on auto piolet."

Kagome's eyes widen. "You fry your brain every day?"

"Yeah, but that's what the—"

Kagome places her hand over his forehead. "Even with your version of healing, that's still not okay."

He swallows. Her energy is warm. It feels a thousand times better than his poor imitation of her healing. "I think that's enough," he breathes.

"Are you sure?" She pulls her hand away. "You look flustered."

Satoru breathes out of his mouth. "I'm trying to go slow here." He drags a hand down his face. "I don't know what that was exactly, but it felt like you were giving me an energy hand job."

Kagome blinks once. Twice. "Does everything I do turn you on?"

"It's a wonderful problem to have." He barks out a chuckle. His pants are tight. Great. This is not what he needs before exorcising some curses.

Kagome looks down at his crotch and then up at him. "If you stall any longer, you won't be home until the morning."

Outwardly, Satoru smiles at Kagome. Inwardly, he's a sobbing mess. "Want me to text you when I'm on my way? I could probably drop some dinner off for you if you don't feel like cooking." He pictures the grossest scene imaginable. He can't go exorcising curses like this.

Kagome dips her head, but her cheeks are tinged pink. "I'll see you when you get home."

"Does this mean we're going to sleep together tonight?"

Kagome gives him a look. "If you don't go to work, I'll be sleeping alone."

Satoru lets out an exaggerated sigh as he stands. "I'm going. You got the keys, and you got my card, so treat yourself to whatever." He gives a wave before teleporting in front of Ijichi, who jumps back and screams. Satoru scratches his head.

At this rate, Ijichi may just die of a heart attack.

He throws an arm around Ijichi. "Starting to think you don't like me."

"After all these years?"

"Don't make me slap the shit out of you," Satoru huffs.

Ijichi sniffs. "Can I have a raise?"

"No."

A/N: I can't wait to write Yuji explaining his family history and Shippo just starts trolling him about how his mom is probably also his great-great grandma-daddy or something.

"The next kid should cause an unpredicted solar eclipse" - I love that, the twins can have that honor lol.

"Is Kagome Ryu's type?" - As long as the woman is attractive, that's all Ryu cares about as far as sex goes. He's got some character development he needs to do.

"Push Presents" - I don't think this is solely a rich husband/family thing. I'm not rich and I got my push gifts lol.

"After Kagome heals Tsumiki, will Gojo be able to keep Yuki away from Kagome?- Nah, everyone is gonna wanna know who the heck Kagome is now.

"Who is older, Ryu or Syouma?" - Syouma. Satoru's mom is dead since I ship Syouma with Himari now.

"How old is Kagome?" - 26 in this story. The well is open, but InuYasha can't pass through and Kagome doesn't want to. We'll get more into what happened with her and InuYasha.

"Is Ito going to have the same mental breakdown Ijichi had?" - Nah, she helped raise Satoru. She's tougher and probably sees it as an honor to serve yet another six eyes user in her lifetime.

"Have I heard of post-natal care centers?" - I have and they look really nice.

"Why did I get push back on breastfeeding?" - Because when someone else attempts to do something and it doesn't work for them, they have a hard time separating their perceived failure from your potential success.

"Does Satoru have any other kids running around?" - Nah, but we'll give Ryu a job and he can go around and make sure since Satoru has super sperm and all.

"Will he tell anyone else that Kagome took out a finger?" - He might tell Yaga, but right now he doesn't want the higher-ups to know and he doesn't want Sukuna to know. Though Sukuna could have felt that something was wrong.

When Sota gets back from America, he's going to be so confused why he suddenly has a bunch of marriage proposals.

Alrighty, that's all I got. Next update will be a Thousand Days and Kagome is gonna be wearing a leather dress so I hope Suguru is ready lol. Take care of yourselves. Refill your well. Maybe get lost in a book (I'm reading more Ruby Dixon) And get plenty of rest!
