A/N: Read Ch 15 of the side stories before reading this chapter.
Kagome worries her bottom lip as she looks down at Satoru. He's still sleeping. The locket is gone, so it looks like that Satoru was telling the truth about universe hopping. There's still a crack in the window and an hour has passed, and yet Satoru—her Satoru — is still sleeping.
She should wake him. Kagome leans over and pokes Satoru's cheek. He stirs, but barely. She frowns. His phone has been buzzing and at this rate, he might end up late for work. Not that she knows what time he goes in every day, but his phone wouldn't be going off if he didn't need to get up.
"Satoru," she says, shaking his shoulder. "Get up." Kagome blows out a breath and crosses her arms. This man is not waking up. Should she zap him? Kagome bites her lip. He said her energy felt like a hand job and she doubts he'd be too upset with her if she gives him a small zap to wake him up. She nods to herself and places her hand on his arm.
Okay, just enough to jolt him. Kagome's brows pinch together as the energy flows out of her and zaps Satoru.
No reaction.
She sighs. Any other time, she would let him sleep, but his body was hijacked by another version of himself, so it's probably for the best that he gets up. Kagome turns her back to Satoru and stares at the crack in the window as though it will somehow give her a clue or some inspiration about how to wake Satoru up. Strong arms wrap around her waist and she's flat on her back before she can blink. Satoru hovers over her, caging her in. His eyes are slightly wild.
Feral.
His chest rises. The veins in his forearms bulge and his lower body is so close to hers. Kagome bites her tongue. It wouldn't take much to lift her hips and interlock her legs around him.
She blinks.
Wait... she cannot be turned on by this. Kagome clears her throat and goes for natural. "Good morning."
"Why do I taste you on my lips?" His tongue darts out. Kagome squeezes her thighs together. Oh, that's... he remembers how she tastes? "Did I sleep kiss you? Because I dreamed about it."
"You dream about me?" The smart thing to do would be to put a stop to this, but Kagome's heart is hijacking her mind, and her mouth is running off before she catches the words. Satoru leans closer. Kagome's thighs widen and she sighs at the feel of his body on hers.
"Always," he breathes. "Did I kiss you?" This time, his voice is pained. The wild look is gone, and left is one of concern.
"Yes, but you weren't sleeping." She pauses. "I wasn't sleeping either."
Satoru sucks in a breath. "I don't remember kissing you, but..." He looks away. "Can I kiss you?" He looks at her and his eyes are so blue, Kagome nearly forgets her name.
She should say no, but her hands reach for him and pull him closer. He kisses her and it feels better than that night. Almost feels like he is her Satoru. He kisses her as though she is his world. Kagome sighs in contentment. The kiss is soft and languid. And she doesn't want it to end. Satoru reaches around and grabs her thigh as he grinds against her.
His kiss is sweet. Gentle.
His cock is hard. Unrelenting. And it's on the tip of her tongue to tell him to fuck her. To get this out of their system. Her nails dig into his back and she doesn't want to let him go.
"Kagome," he groans. "Let me love you." He thrusts his hips and her eyes flutter.
"Love?" He doesn't love her. There's no way.
Satoru hums. He kisses the corner of her lips and leaves a path of kisses down the column of her neck. He pulls away slightly and unhooks the top of her tank top. His mouth quirks upward. "I love these tops." His thumb brushes across her nipple. Kagome hisses. She's sensitive to his touch. Satoru swallows right before he bends his head and wraps his lips around it. He hums. His other hand plucks her other nipple.
Kagome arches her back. She cries out, trying desperately to keep her moans down. She lifts her hips and rubs against him. His hard length presses against her shorts and she wants to feel him. Needs to feel—
The phone rings.
Again.
"You should answer that," Kagome says, pushing her frustration down. What is wrong with her? Satoru is late for work and instead of telling him that, she encouraged his advances. Welcomed him with open thighs.
Satoru pulls off her nipple with a wet pop. The milk hits him in the face. Kagome flushes. Mortified doesn't even begin to describe the feeling cutting her to the quick right now. She just squirted milk all over his face.
"I'm sorry!" she blurts out.
Satoru doesn't blink. He makes no move to answer the phone. He eyes her breasts and then looks at her while he wets his lips. "It's sweet," he says, eyes lighting. "Kagome," he says, lowly as he presses his forehead to hers.
"I didn't mean to squirt you," she says, lamely.
"Don't ever apologize for that." The phone rings again. Satoru growls as he pulls away. He snatches the phone off the nightstand and hesitates. "What happened to the window?" He shakes his head and answers the phone.
Kagome fixes her clothes and throws a glance over her shoulder as she walks out of the room. The movement is slight, but Satoru's eyes darken. He holds the phone with one hand and holds up two fingers with his other. Satoru stares at her as he sticks his tongue out between his fingers and wiggles it.
Kagome turns so quickly she nearly hits her nose on the wall. She shakes her head as she walks down the hall to the bathroom. Kagome washes quickly and wraps the towel around her. Satoru isn't waiting for her when she gets out and he isn't in the bedroom either, so he must be in the living room with Koushi. Kagome slides on a pair of dark leggings and a simple shirt. She puts her hair into a messy bun on top of her head.
"Sorry for not getting you up earlier," Kagome says, walking into the living room where Satoru alternates between playing peek-a-boo with Koushi and munching on a breakfast bar.
"Nah, it's fine. I'm always late." He reaches over and tickles Koushi, who kicks his legs. The rocker shakes from the movement. "But I am gonna shower real fast and then I'll be off. The appointment is at 11, right?" Satoru stands and stuffs the rest of the bar into his mouth.
"Yeah. Do we need to reschedule it?"
"What? No." He shakes his head. "I'll meet you two there and then we can grab lunch together." Satoru smiles as he walks backwards. "My birthday is next month. Trying to get us into a bigger home before then." He stops and then shakes his head. "I'll ask after we see the house." He turns around and only the sound of the shower running fills the apartment.
Kagome blows out a breath. "Your dad is a handful," she tells Koushi, who fusses over his fist. When Satoru emerges, he's dressed in what must be his uniform and wearing that blindfold again. Satoru squats down next to Koushi and kisses the top of his head. Koushi's hands twitch. Satoru grins and then moves to kiss Kagome.
"See you later," he says, flashing out of sight.
Kagome touches her lips with her fingertips. Her heart is beating far too fast. She's thinking things she shouldn't. And yet, she wants to believe in Satoru. Kagome blows out a breath. Satoru is acting like this because he thinks he has to. Thinks he has to protect them. Kagome looks at her hands and flexes them. Maybe he'll get those thoughts out of his head once he sees that she is more than capable of keeping herself and Koushi safe.
She doesn't want to be around for the day when he gets up and leaves.
Satoru keeps to his word and Kagome is a little shocked to see him there before her and Koushi. Kagome glances at her phone. They even got here early. She slides her phone into her pocket and puts Koushi into his baby carrier. Satoru looks up from his phone and smiles at her. He's wearing shades now instead of the blindfold. It must be for the realtor's sake.
"You find this place okay?"
"Yeah... though it is more impressive seeing it in person." Yes, she set up the house tour, but there's something surreal about being outside a 3.2-billion-yen home. Satoru places a hand on her back as they greet the realtor. Kagome waits until they go inside, and the realtor lets them look around on their own to say something. "Are you serious about this place?"
"I'm as serious as you are." Satoru motions to the large windows. "Nice view to wake up to, yeah?"
It is a nice view.
"Five bedrooms and there's some yard. Not a lot, but enough for Koushi to run around," Satoru says, "Walk-in closet for us," he points out, flipping on the light. He walks through the house as though he owns it. As though this is a sure deal. "Nice kitchen area, and there should be a garage."
Kagome takes everything in with wide eyes. Satoru's apartment is nice. But this place is on a different scale. He's willing to just shell this kind of money out on a whim? Kagome frowns. "Satoru," she calls. "Are you sure you want to buy a house together? That's a huge step."
Satoru tilts his head. "Well... yeah? I mean, we did things a little backwards with Koushi coming first, but wouldn't you rather be in a house? I mean, we can look at other apartments if you want to keep renting." He shrugs.
"No, I mean, this is a huge relationship step." Kagome rocks back and forth, bouncing Koushi to sleep. "Are you sure that this is what you want? We don't have to be together for you to have a relationship with Koushi."
"Kagome," Satoru sighs. "I was this close to putting another baby in you this morning."
"Satoru!" Kagome covers Koushi's ears, though he seems to be halfway asleep.
"Give me one good reason, why you think I shouldn't want you," he continues.
"I was married before," she blurts out.
Satoru stills. "Oh?"
"Yes, and you probably want—"
"Is he dead?"
Kagome blinks. "No?"
"That's a shame." Satoru rubs the back of his neck. "That doesn't change anything. I still want you." Satoru blows out a breath and leans against the kitchen island. "So, you do know your ring size, then?"
"... No, I never got a ring." Kagome presses her lips together. She does know her ring size, because that other Satoru told her, but will her Satoru believe her if she tells him what happened this morning?
Probably not.
"You were married, and you never got a ring? How long?" Satoru crosses his arms. She can't read his expression with the glasses on his face.
"Five years."
Satoru snatches his shades off and hangs them on his jacket. He walks to her and tilts her chin up with his thumb and forefinger. "Five years? You were married for five years, and he never got you a ring? Did he get you anything?"
Kagome tries to look away. "He provided."
Satoru barks out a laugh, but there's a sharpness to it. "He provided," Satoru parrots. "But did he worship you?"
Worship? She and InuYasha didn't have that kind of relationship. Granted, he did the best he could, and it's not like they lived in the modern times. Though Miroku always came home with gifts for Sango. Kagome frowns and tries to look away, but Satoru is persistent.
"I'll take that as a no." Satoru bends his head down. "I want you to look at me." He waits until she does so. "I'm not your ex-husband. I will never be your ex-husband."
"Obviously, we aren't—"
"Ever getting a divorce," Satoru continues. He lets her chin go and brushes his knuckles down the side of her face. "What I want to know is if you want this house. And if you do, do you want to furnish it, or would you like to hire an interior decorator?"
Kagome blinks. Her mind whirls. He isn't put off by her being previously married? "I like the house, but the price is a lot."
Satoru smirks. "Baby, you don't have to worry about the price. Not anymore. Do you want the house?"
Kagome glances at the kitchen and the openness of the area. There are a lot of rooms and Koushi would like the backyard. "I want it." She holds her breath, waiting for the reprimand to come, but Satoru kisses the top of her head and smiles.
"I'm going to assign Ito as your assistant," he says, pulling out his phone. "If you don't like her, then you can dismiss her and hire someone else. But she helped to raise me, and she knows a little of what she's doing."
Assistant?
Satoru reaches for her hand. "Come on. We'll tell the realtor and then get you some food and maybe make a quick stop somewhere else."
Kagome nods. She hears Satoru. But it's like the words are getting gargled and her mind is struggling to make sense of this. If Satoru truly is this rich. Scratch that. His looks alone are enough to have women falling at his feet. He's strong, charismatic, fucks like an otherworldly being, attractive, and... also has a lot of yen, apparently.
Why is someone like him so interested in her?
She just doesn't get it.
A/N: This chapter wouldn't leave me alone so here we are. If you are confused by the multiverse stuff, go back and read ch 15 of the side stories. I know not everyone is reading this as I update. Actually I'm still shocked that my old stories still get reads lol.
Yeah this Satoru has no barriers with Kagome and it's actually a little funny that Kagome thinks her showing off how strong she is, is gonna make Satoru less interested.
Kagome is attached to Koushi because it is a new mom thing and a lot has happened in a short amount of time.
Satoru is gonna have to start carrying a baby carrier on him because Koushi thought about it. He flexed his little baby fist when Satoru gave him a kiss goodbye.
We'll get more into how Jujutsu society is taking this news. Shoko is pissed that Satoru didn't wait for her at the hospital. She wanted to meet Koushi's mom and the woman that broke a curse coma that she couldn't break.
And we'll get more into what happened with InuYasha.
Take care. Have a great week! Drink your water. Get plenty of rest. And the next update will for sure be Wish I Could. Side note, you guys really liked the Twisted Desire story. I might add a part two. Haven't decided yet. Take care!
