HunMal: A Cup of Sweetness

"Here you go," Elizabeta said as she handed the cup to the customer. "Have a nice day."

The customer moved aside, allowing the next customer to approach. Elizabeta's smile widened when she saw who it was.

"If it isn't my favourite regular," she greeted. "How have you been?"

Akmal chuckled and leaned on the counter.

"Do you say that to all your regulars?" he asked.

Elizabeta giggled, though in all honesty, she didn't say it to all of her regulars. She enjoyed flirting with him, and he seemed to flirt back. But after three months, he hadn't tried to ask her out. And she knew that he was single, so that wasn't an issue.

She took his order, and after receiving his money, she set to work. As usual, she first wrote his name on his cup, or at least, she pretended to. Instead of his name, she wrote her phone number. Hopefully he would take the hint, and hopefully she didn't embarrass herself. His order was easy enough, and within a minute, she handed the cup to him.

"Have a nice day," she said. "Enjoy."

"Thank you," he said, before he went to sit down.

She saw him stare at the cup for a moment before he took out his phone. Her smile widened as she took the order of the next customer. Hopefully, Akmal would wait until after her shift before he contacted her.

The prompt is: 'Person A is a barista at a nearby coffee shop. They have grown fond of Person B, who they have a crush on. One day, when B orders their coffee, A writes their number on the cup.'
