Stripped and scorched with a broken crown

Out of the dark they laugh and they jeer
Over the torrid winds and rains
The city of rest and the rivers of pain

I fly far above the wall of Dis
And into the Malebolge to pay for my sins

I'm the only one here who is responsible

I delved too deep into the future
Wailing against the powers of the past
But now I live wallowed in anger
My cards are played, my die is cast

I see desert harpies, they tear and rip
Boiling blood rivers swamp a sinking ship
I see burning graves searing heretics
I see countless damned souls drowning in shit

This is my lot in death, it's all that I am
But what I would give to be any one of them
