This is a smut scene that was written for Chapter 17 of my fic A Thorn in His Side, but eventually deleted because it wasn't a good fit with that fic's plot direction. Akkarin gifts his favourite to his friend in the hopes of ensuring his silence. He doesn't enjoy what follows as much as he'd anticipated.

Set five and a half years after The High Lord's Fate. Sonea and Akkarin are living a relatively quiet life when a series of events thrusts them back into the the Guild, but it is not quite the Guild they left. How will they cope when there are precious few people they can trust and the danger comes not just from Sachaka?

Sonea does not throw the stone, but her powerful magical presence soon attracts other unwanted attention, including that of the Guild. An AU story that explores Sonea's entry into the Guild if her powers emerge a bit later than they do in the books. She also has a connection to the High Lord that neither of them quite understands. The story starts when Akkarin takes Sonea as his novice and remains mostly canon-compliant until the battle with the Ichani. It is told from Akkarin's perspective and, while it does include his thoughts on events from the books, focuses a lot more on political intrigue than the books.

Historia rozpoczyna się w momencie egzaminów kończących nowicjat Sonei, jednak nie jest ona nowicjuszką wielkiego mistrza. Nikt nigdy nie zobaczył w jej umyśle Akkarina używającego czarnej magii, więc nie musiała się go obawiać - do czasu, gdy ten zaczyna zwracać na nią szczególną uwagę, a sama Sonea staje się świadkiem wydarzeń, które mogą zmienić jej dotychczasowe życie.

A series of one-shots about Midwinter's Day set in the same universe as The High Lord's Fate. I plan to do one for each day of Advent, so you will see a few added a day while I catch up. In the mountains of Sachaka Akkarin discovers something strange about Sonea's magic. What impact does it have on the storyline? I basecally changed the whole story after Akkarin and Sonea have been exiled. The story doesn't only focus on Akkarin and Sonea, but also includes the chracters still in Imardin (merely Lorlen, Rothen and Dannyl).

What if the Higher Magicians would have realised that the murder of Lord Jolen was made up by someone cause of Lorlens intervention? What if Sonea would have finished her studies?

What if Lorlen decided to trust his friend and to tell him that he knew about his use of black magic? What if the High Lord had taken Sonea from the very beginning as his novice?

A fight gone wrong leaves Akkarin almost fatally wounded. Lorlen uses this opportunity to finally press the High Lord for answers. Set somewhere towards the end of 'The Novice'.

This story follows on from my earlier story A New World. It is a first person narrative of the life of Akkarin's and Sonea's daughter, Karine.

A AU starting after Lord Jolen was killed and the Guild found out Akkarin uses black magic. In the books king Merin was a passive witness of the Hearing on this. In this AU the king takes the lead in that Hearing, to the surprise of all magicians.

This third story follows on from my previous stories Exile and Recall. Back home in the Steelbelt Ranges, Akkarin and Sonea have to come to terms with what has happened to their son.
