Chapter 24: Battle with Sark Tails
..., Marble Zone, Sark Dimension
Sonic walked into the room that Sark Tails was in.
"I've been awaiting your arrival, Sonic." Sark Tails said.
"Me, too. I've heard that you've entered my world a few times." Sonic replied.
"Yes, this is a true statement. I have had a few journeys in your world." He told him.
"I also heard that you tried to kill my niece."
"She is the Chosen One and I was chosen to be the one to carry out the mission."
"But you failed."
"Don't remind me!" Sark Tails snapped.
"Just like how I'm about to beat you silly." Sonic began to stretch.
"Oh, you think so, huh? Well, how about we raise the steaks a little bit."
"How so?"
"We put some lives on the line!"
Sark Tails revealed Tails and Knuckles, still frozen in stone.
Sonic glared, then smirked.
"Deal. Hold on guys, I'm coming." Sonic said.
"Then let our battle begin!"
Sark Tails charged at Sonic, who jumped over the attack.
"Is that all you have?" Sonic teased.
"Just because I'm a Tails doesn't mean I can't fight." Sark Tails told him.
"Tails knows how to fight!"
Sonic homing attacked the grey fox, sending him in a wall.
"Not bad, but no where near good enough."
Sark Tails sprung out and lunged at Sonic, who sidestepped the attack by quick stepping.
"Gotta be faster than that." The Blue Blur teased.
Sark Tails vanished, then popped up next to Sonic, and punched him.
"Ok, I'll give you that one." Sonic shook off the lick.
The two began to tussle, exchanging blows back and forth.
"Almost finished, hedgehog?" Sark Tails asked, clearly worn out.
"Who, me? Not hardly." Sonic said, not even breaking a sweat.
"Wha-What? How are you not tired and bruised?"
"Actually, you haven't laid a single hit on me this whole time except for that one punch. You see, I can move so fast that I leave after images of myself. You were hitting those when you thought you were hitting me."
"Impossible!"
"Nope, I'm just too fast for you."
"No way!"
"Yes way." Sonic stated as he dashed over and gave Sark Tails a KO punch.
The fox was down for the count.
Tails and Knuckles began to transform back to normal.
"Youch! What's going on?" Tails moaned.
"What happened? Where are we now?" Knuckles rubbed his head.
"Guys, you ok?" Sonic asked.
"Sonic!"
Both guys sprung up and hugged the Blue Blur.
"Guys, it's ok, I'm fine." Sonic told them.
"We were worried." Tails told him.
"I'm perfectly fine, little bro." Sonic told Tails.
"Good to still see you kicking, man." Knuckles smiled and slapped Sonic's back playfully.
"But, of course, Knux."
Amelia and Eggman walked in.
"You did it, Sonic!" Amelia hugged him.
"I expected nothing less." Eggman added.
"Ok, questions. Who is she? Why does she look like Amy? And why is Eggman here?" Tails asked.
"I'll explain as we go." Sonic said as a ring portal appeared.
The group entered it and were gone.
