Miss Carson-Beaumier is not the usual type of person to be found on an English frigate. Her orders are to find out how the Acheron has such detailed knowledge of the fleet's movements. Violet and Victor are twins who have had their lives planned out. Victor is to be a midshipman on the HMS Surprise and Violet is to be married.
