This is what I like to call a date-fic. An exploration of Hugo and Isabelle's relationship through certain important dates as they form a connection that will last a lifetime. From their earliest meeting they had brought something out in each other. And as their relationship and understanding of each other increased, so do certain feelings that they share between them. Georges Melies does NOT care about the little thief who has been helping him with his shop for the past few weeks, and definitely doesn't worry about him. So when Hugo begins to look pale and tired all of the time, he definitely doesn't notice. And even if he does it's not his problem. The automaton is returned to its maker and Hugo has moved in with Isabelle and her godparents. He continues to wind the clocks, and Papa Georges kept the toy booth open. Hugo and Isabelle look for a new adventure, and they find what just might provide it.
