Witchers, humans cruelly mutated to hunt monsters and demons. Grey Wardens, a world's blighted answer to the taint that blighted it. Both bearing the same burden, but one reviled, and the other revered. Yet, however unjust, Ciri couldn't help cracking a smile. She was as far away from home as she could possibly be, and yet, in a way, she was closer than she'd been in a long time.

Following the the death of Corypheus, the Inquisition is set helping rebuild the world of Thedas with their allies from both Ferelden and Orlais. Before the Inquisitor's allies can set down their weapons, the Inquisitions' spies and the Qunari suddenly start sending reports of another person having the Anchor in his hand and it's red color alarms them.
