In the rainbow Sea Zoe was swimming around an ear piece in her ear, holding the button and said one thing, "Hay Max are you there?" she swam underwater avoiding other mermaids, "These mermaids keep asking creepy what's it like having a boyfriend questions...Can you read me?" She swam to a corner, "I swear Why do I keep attracting Straight mermaids who have never had a date before let along a boyfriend?"
On Max's end he was using wireless kicking a soccer ball around saying this, "I don't know why is our family attracting news hounds. I mean Aunt Dorthy had to dome our house in a field that makes it so no camera works when facing the barrier. I mean everyone wants to see a dinosaur and an Alien... I hate to think what the mermaids are going through. Jessica keeps avoiding movie hounds who want her to play in a mermaid movie for first move with a real mermaid. I mean honestly, Alien and Dinosaurs done, Helen solid out to play a space girl in a movie, a cheese science fiction or well science fact now Z-movie, That's going to be hit as first real alien to play and alien. Rex rented Ace out to be dinosaur movie dinosaur for a chase scene. Same thing. Jessica refuses to do it."
Zoe on her end listening to the chatter of the other pod members, "Zoe? Come on we want to know what kissing a boy is like?" Zoe stuck her tongue out, "I know some fish bitches that would happily do it if they could leave the Rainbow Sea." Max blinked asking, " why can't they?" Zoe tapped her head, " Right you don't know mermaid's law."
The young Levin woman said this, "Mermaid law states a mermaid born in the rainbow Sea can not leave it till Sixteen. As the rainbow Sea was made to be a gilded Cage for mermaids to live in a way form pirates. Not that it works as Animo was here once. Meaning the law is meaningless but the one in charge of it is the goddess of the ocean, so not like we can complain...After all takes a god to beat a god, and I highly doubt Alien-x is going to be useful any time soon." She said avoiding the pod, "I swear My age group is just creepily boy obsessed...I know that's ironic as I was that way but still...It's worst at school with human starvation diets... I remember when you found out I was trying to lose a few pounds he sat me down told me to stop starving myself and handed me a plate of cookies you baked and said if I didn't eat them I didn't love you." She was red saying this, "Those magazines are lies."
Max kicked the ball to his head, headbutting it, "All the so called experts are lies. To be an experts everyone would have to be the same, we aren't the same. That means their are no people experts. Teachers shouldn't need degrees because all they learn is a lot of crap that is never going to be useful as they are never going to meet the people they read about. I mean we may meet the people in the history books. We might but most people aren't. Most people can't go back in time and live treasure island, or go back and meet Spartacus. Zoe nodded saying this, "yeah I guess that's right." She swam along coming to some glowing coral she smiled the coral was a light show that was behind the rainbow glow of the water. She smiled, " when did you get so smart?" Max replied saying, "Philosophy is saying this makes no sense and here is why I think that. You don't have to be smart to say yeah that makes no sense and this is why it makes no sense. Subs do the job of a full teacher with our a degree in most places, So if you can do the job with a degree but not for long, why have the degree, just rotate the subs around every week and the school no runs with our one collage degree, so having the degree for the job makes no since as one can get by just fine with out it."
The mermaid held her chin and said, " ...Me not seeing my mom was shit makes no sense as she didn't correct me when I got baka smacking, but someone else did. The mermaid rested her elbows on the rock to rest her head on her hand her fin splashing flirtingly. "Gee So a new-maid." Newmaid was slang for any mermaid not born one. " Who can't splash around like flipper how cute." She said blushing. Reese adjusted her glasses, she didn't know how they where still working under here, maybe because her eyes were water adjusted right now. The mermaid hummed clearly checking Reese out, "Tell me newmaid ? Seeing anyone?"
Reese said this, "My boyfriend Ed." The mermaid's eyes widened and heart shattered. The mermaid said, " wow wow men are dangerous honey." Reese turned saying, "Jessica warned me about your type the kind that prey on new mermaid's confusion to get what they want." She covered her chest, "And unlike Ed you are so short you have to stare at them." Reese swam away or tried, but ended up needing to push the water to move away.
the mermaid tapped the rock as she said this, "Five strikes outs in one day? Really Alice? What the fuck are you a man?" She then saw Alex and swam over to see the buff country girl. Alice licked her lips, "hello Macho woman?" She said looking at her abs. The farm girl covered her abs and said, " Hay not, Wow Nelly girl!"
Our country girl said this, "ah's straightest person in my family...Not a big contest as aunt and uncle are Demi, Grandpa is xeno, Ben has been a demi-boy since birthing the big chill kids, Max is bisexual, Dorthy is pan, and well...now that ah thinks about it ah thinks I be the only straight one." She said heading her chin thinking about it, "Nows the big chill kids are all fluid with one being non-binary...So yeps ah's the only straight person in my family...Cousin Clyde is gay his aunt is a lesbian...well Cousin Lucy is...Demi-romantic...my cousin who married the alien is...demi too...Dam yep Ah's the only straight one...How the hells did that's happen?" Alice's eye twitched and said, "Geee what are the chances I am talking to the only straight woman in a family?" The lesbian mermaid was old enough to leave, at twenty, Only one problem for her, thanks to a random birth defect , no different then say a sixth toe, She couldn't open a portal out, She also wasn't very liked around the Sea , She was not very social as she refused to socialize with anyone into men, meaning no one wanted to open a portal out of the rainbow Sea into the human world loaded with men. As they feared she would be one of those super villains who attack only men. Alice's had never met a man, her hate was illogical, clearly something beaten into her head.
elsewhere in the sea Max had to go, and Zoe had ended up hanging with some Older mermaids. This mermaids were her sister's age group, and they accepted her. This mermaid pod was all mermaids that could leave , had boyfriends and were mentally sound. One mermaid laying on coral said this, "Alice tried to hit on me again. I swear why does she hate men? She has never met one. It's like hating shoes because you went bare foot all your life? I mean I didn't wear shoes all my life till I could leave and I love shoes now. No really me and my boyfriend are shoe collectors. I mean honestly. The logic here is backwards for her."
Another mermaid who was hanging upside down floating said one thing to this, "her dislike of men is why they won't let her leave. I think she is just miss blaming refusing to admit she's the problem, and she needs help. Look I will be the first to say fiction and words aren't reality and actions. Yet the only difference between a monster and a person is a helping hand and a friend. "
The next older one was chewing on wrapped sea weed, it wasn't lit, she was chewing on it like candy hanging out her mouth as she said one thing arms crossed, "I personally think she is just a closeted Bi who doesn't want to admit she is into boys and girls. My cousin was the same way acted like she hated mean as she didn't want to admit she wanted to make out with them as much as girls." Zoe commented, " If that's the case I know a lot of closeted Bisexuals."
The upside down one said, "Mini-maid, Most people are closeted bi pan, or poly. Everyone is in the closet it's just how much. something that's even more fluid then water like love and attraction can't be put into fixed areas. Just like water you can chart the area something is in all you want, but all the oceans and seas are really just one big body of water with pretend make believe lines around them. coral girl stretched saying this, "yeah No some creators of the sea stay still some move about, but the ocean is the perfect metaphor for love and attraction, along with people. Water is life, Life is made by love, so water is love. I know that sounded stupid as hell but you get the metaphoric point." Zoe nodded happily hanging with older mermaids.
Sea wed candy girl smiled saying this, " So Bellwood, I hear how it's become a hot spot for supernatural stuff. Me and my boyfriend should go t heir, He is a Jaguar...yes I know that means our babies will be cat fish go ahead and laugh about it, but he's my kitty and I am his Fishy." Zoe and the other's chuckled, picturing mermaid cat girl.
