In the 21st Century as Johnny Gentle takes control of the United States for a second time, those with extraordinary powers and talents are targeted for his "Normalcy for America."
As young people are rounded up, a group inspired by tales of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen rises up to protect the extraordinary people and world. They are the Young Warriors! The team consists of:
Abra Stone: A teenage black girl from New England with psychic abilites, or "shining," Abra was discovered by fellow "shining" Danny Torrance and helped defeat a group of psychic vampires called the True Knot and the Overlook Hotel. She had bern scouring for psychic vampires when one of her classmates was kidnapped by followers of President Gentle called Rounders. Through her telepathy, Abra summoned the others.
Sunset Shimmer: Sunset Shimmer was a former unicorn from the dimension known as Equestria and pupil to Princess Celestia until her impatience forced her to flee to the human world, which she tried to subjugate. Only through Twilight Sparkle, Celestia's new pupil, did Sunset saw the error of her ways and became a better person in her new home (although she felt guilty over her evil actions). Trained in magic, the strong and intelligent teenager joined Abra in her rescue.
Hilda: A Norweigan girl, Hilda was skilled in wilderness survival and highly intelligent in the world of Scandinavia magic and creatures, even once becoming a troll (though she lost those powers). Hilda was in the US as part of a student exchange program when Abra summoned her.
Snoopy & Woodstock: A beagle and yellow bird duo from Minnesota, these two are members of the Peanuts Gang, a collective of Minnesotan children who went on adventures. While visiting New England, these two were summoned by Abra.
Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, Willow Park, Gus Porter, Hunter and Vee: These six teens csme together through the eccentric Luz, a human from Connecticut, who gound her way to the Boiling Isles, a home of witches. Under the tutelage of Eda Clawthorne and Hexside school, Luz discovered using glyphs to perform magic spells. Her girlfriend Amity uses abominations, clay/mud like beings; Willow is a plant witch; Gus, fascinated with human culture, used illusions; Hunter has teleportation; and Vee, a basilisk and Luz's foster sister can shspeshift and absorb magic. Amity, Willow, Gus and Hunter were visiting Luz, her mother Camilia and Vee when they were summoned by Abra.
Ann Bonchuy, Sprig Plantar & Polly Plantar: Ann was a Thai American from California who was pulled into the world of Amphibia. Befriended by the Plantars- Sprig, Hop Pop and Polly, who were frog farmers. Ann soon learned that she had powers from a blue gem that brought her there. Like the others, Ann and the Plantars were visiting Ann's relatives in New York when Abra summoned them.
Hailey Banks, Scott Denoga & Beta: Hailey and Scott are best friends from California. While an inventive girl, Hailey was scared to take risks; Scott is cheerful snd energetic. Encounters with a future time traveler revealed that Hailey must complete her list to save the world. Beta is a futuristic AI operatoring system who helps the duo. While attending a science expo in Albany, the trio were summoned by Abra.
Ladybug & Cat Noir: French heroes with kwamis that grant them powes, Marinette Duphine Cheng and Adrien Agreste were chosen to protect Paris from Hawk Moth and his allies. Both were in New York with Hailey, Scott and Beta when Anra called for help.
Moroha, Setsuna & Towa Higurashi: Known as the Half-Demon Princesses, these three supernatural warriors were the children of Inuyasha and Sessohmaru, demons of Feudal Japan who were well-known by the superhuman community. While Moroha and Setsuna lived in Feudal Era Japan, Sestuna's twin sister Towa lived in modern Japan. They were in New York on a family trip when they learned about Abra's call for help.
Lincoln Loud, Clyde McBride & Ronnie Ann Santiago: Rounding out the team where three midfkr schoolers. Lincoln is the only boy in a family of eleven children who knows pop culture. Along with his best friend Clyde and Ronnie, neither had any powers but went along with Abra.
Together, the teens found Abra's friend among other detainees at a makeshift camp on North Hero Island in Vermont. They defeated the Rounders C and liberated the captives and agreeded to stay together as a resistance towards Gentle.
Team Dynamics: Although outside parties felt that having too many members, the team was very functional. The group choose Abra as their leadewith Sunset as second command, but the group acted as a "loose" unit, everyone sharing their experiences and hone their skills. Looking for a headquarters, the team found a former S.H.I.E.L.D. base called The Treehouse in Ellicott City, MD.
