"No, no, it's still not right!" Sublime groaned as she crumpled her drawing into a paper ball. Marinette had told her she loved to draw and Sublime had wanted to draw a picture of the two of them together.
But the more she tried, the more frustrated she got. None of these were as good as Marinette's! Maybe she should just give up and no one would know.
Sublime felt a shadow pass over her and she looked up to see Cat Noir perched on one of the park lampposts. "Cat Noir! What are you doing here?" Cat smiled. "I was passing by and saw you looked upset. Anything I could do to help?"
Sublime bit her lip. She wanted to Cat, but he didn't need to hear about her problem. He had bigger things to worry about. Cat jumped off his perch and took a seat beside her, laying a hand on her shoulder. "I want to help."
"Oh, it's silly. I wanted to make a drawing for Marinette, but as you can see, clearly none of them are good enough." "Marinette?" Sublime nodded, noting how happy Cat looked at her new friend's name. "Yeah, she's a girl from my school." "Oh, Marinette's awesome. But I wouldn't worry too much, she's just be glad you thought of her." "You mean, she wouldn't mind if isn't perfect?"
Cat smiled. "Listen, I know a little bit about trying to be perfect, and you don't have to be. Just be yourself."
"Thank you, Cat. Cat?" "Yes?" "Would you come with me to give Marinette the drawing?" "I'd be happy to."
They found Marinette splattered with paint working on a painting on her balcony. "Cat Noir, Sublime!"
"Here, Marinette. This is for you," Sublime handed her the drawing. "Oh," Marinette's face was soft. "You made this, for me?" "You've made me feel welcome here, and I wanted you to have it. At first, I was going to give up, because your such a good artist and my drawing wouldn't measure up. But then I got some great advice."
"Thank you!" Marinette gave Sublime a hug. "Hey, I have a idea, as long as Cat Noir agrees to it." "Uh-oh," Cat teased. "What am I getting roped into now, Princess?" "Princess?" Sublime asked. "Long story," Marinette giggled. "Would you pose Cat? Sublime and I have art to do, and your the purr-fect mewse."
