So...

I've always wanted to take a crack at writing a more mature, and intense fan fic ever since I got back into GF earlier this year (Glad this show is making a resurgence). I've read a numerous amount of fics, and I finally decided to get off my ass, put pen to paper, and starting cooking on this. This is my first work so keep that in mind, but I won't let that be an excuse for poor quality. Before you read though, I wanted to give some sort of context about this work and my thoughts behind it.

What has happened since the series ended? Well, everything that has been written and published regarding this series will be relevant. (Book of Bill, Lost Legends, Journal 3, etc.) The Book of Bill gave me a lot of ideas and ultimately set the tone I would like to explore in this work. After the Twins left, there has been a lot of changing going on (about them and Gravity Falls). The Grunkles went adventuring (more about that later), Soos took over the shack and lives in it with Melody (power couple fr), Wendy has been struggling with high school (nothing new here, but I will try to do her character justice and explore her in some cool ways), and Pacifica has taken up work at Greasy's Diner, surprisingly. Out of everyone still there, she is definitely the one that misses the Twins the most, especially a certain nerdy one (Dipcifica cause yes). There are other characters that have done a few things here and there, but I don't want to ruin the fun just yet (let me cook). That is about all you need to know context-wise.

Now, I really enjoy the effects music can have on stories. Songs or soundtracks associated with certain parts of the story can help reinforce the feelings I want the reader to feel in that moment. Lyrics and melodies can add a punch to descriptive writing that the words alone just can't do. So, for some chapters and very impactful scenes, I will be leaving names of songs and (possibly) embedded videos of the song (If I can figure that out) that I think fit the work in that moment.

This work (for now) will be split into Volumes. Each volume will have several Acts (The Acts are mainly there for me to plan out arcs and whatnot) with associated Chapters (i.e., Volume 1: 55 Chapters, 3 Acts). I think this will be organized enough for me to plan out the stories I want to tell effectively. I do not have a concrete set of Volumes yet (sorry lol), but I am aiming to do a minimum of 3 Volumes—a beginning, middle, and end. If I believe there are more stories and things to discover, then I will probably add more volumes. (Sorry the chapters are ordered weirdly at the moment. I wanted to put this message here and a prelude for the story before the first actual chapter)

Final warning: There will be some pretty deep, gritty, and serious themes explored throughout this work. Just take that into consideration when you start reading. That is all I've got, so enjoy!
