Episode 2 (Red Catches A Pokémon)
Red goes north to Viridian City, the gym was closed as the leader was out. They battled, Abby beat Pidgey handedly, but Blue's Squirtle came out "Bubble!"
Abby became sluggish as the attack lowered her speed, "Abby! Scratch!"
"Bubble!" Blue pummeled Abby with super-effective attacks! Abby was defeated! "Don't even think of training up there! They won't let you past the gate without a set of 8 badges!"
Red encountered an old man having coffee and nursing a headache, "Young man! What happened to your Charmander!? Its face is all wet! Did you let it fight a Water Pokémon?"
"I had no choice, she was my only Pokémon and there's no running from a trainer battle!" Red explains
"I see… worry not! She won't be your only Pokémon much longer! I will teach you how to catch Pokémon!" He accompanies Red to the Pokémon Center, while Nurse Joy healed Red's Pokémon, they go to the Pokémart, getting 6 Pokéballs. They stepped into Viridian Forrest, the old man spotting a Weedle "That Weedle, it can poison you with that tail it's got, so I recommend staying back! Now… ordinarily you'd weaken a Pokémon with attacks and status conditions, but if it's weak enough, some Pokémon can be caught outright, just be careful, a wild Pokémon battling you is testing if you're worthy to be its trainer… if you do much damage it won't want to join you, makes you look reckless!" He throws a Pokéball, capturing Weedle!
"So, I can do that once I have my own Pokéballs?" Red asked
"You won't have to wait! The other 5 were for you!" He hands over the Pokéballs
Red walked back to Viridian, on the way to the Pokémon Center he encountered a Rattata "Go Pokéball!" He throws it at Rattata! It stays in! "Jay! Let's go say hi to Abby!"
As he enters, Nurse Joy gives a smile "Ah! Red! Your Charmander is in good condition!" Charmander comes out, being escorted to Red by Chancey
"Abby! Check out your new friend I caught!" He introduces Jay, and Abby puffs out a small flame, almost like a proud older sibling. She gave Jay a curious look before nodding approvingly. "Let's see what he can do!"
Going out into the grass, Red finds a Pidgey, the Pokémon that Blue caught, seemed like the perfect choice! "Jay! Go get him!" The two battle! "Tackle!" Hitting critically, Pidgey was low on energy! "Go Pokéball!"
Red caught Pidgey! "Jas! Welcome to the team!"
Red caught two of many trainers' first! Who knows who will join the team next, or how the next battle with Blue may go?
