Blue comes across Red, "Hey Red! Still struggling along back here? Up at Nugget Bridge, a bunch of trainers fight in a row, trying to mimic the Elite Four. But they're weak, how about a real fight?"
"Sure! Go Jas!" He tosses out his Pidgey!
Blue laughs "Still got a Pidgey!? Go Pidgeotto!" He sends out his much bigger bird! "Wing Attack!"
"Sand-Attack!" The sand in Pidgeotto's eyes causes a miss! "Quick Attack!"
"Keep on trying!" The birds battle, but unfortunately, the big one wins!
Red returns Jas with a smile "You did well…" he then sends out the rat "Go Jay!"
"Wing Attack!"
"Hyper Fang!" Before the wing hit, the fangs on the face knocked out Pidgeotto!
Blue returns his defeated Pidgeotto "Let's see who's rat is better!" He sends out his own Rattata
"Quick Attack!" Said both boys! Their Rattatas fight equally hard, knocking out each other! "Return!" Said both boys as they bring them back
"Go Abra!" Blue sending out a small floating Pokémon with shut eyes
"Abby! Use Slash!" Abby tries again and again to hit a teleporting foe! Eventually, she does "Doesn't that thing know any attacks?"
"This one does!" Blue switches to Squirtle "Water Gun!" Abby is felled in one blow! "Alright, Red! What's next!?"
"Next? That was my last Pokémon…" Red admits
Blue laughs "You only have 3 Pokémon!? I have several in the PC I'm not even using!"
Red had his Pokémon heal… he thought of the Nugget Bridge, the challenge Blue told him about… "A mini Elite Four…" He decides to train with Misty to prepare, she even teaches her favorite attack to Jay.
In a battle with a local Hiker's Onix, Bubble Beam took it down in one shot! A far cry from the fight with Brock! Misty waved goodbye to Red!
A man running the Nugget Bridge sees a trainer obliterate everyone so fast he can't even keep track of which Pokémon were used! Even the fifth trainer was meant to substitute for the Champion! "Well done! Well done!" He gives Red the promised gold nugget "You've shown great promise! Say, Red, been hearing a lot about you! How'd you like to join Team Rocket? We're a group dedicated to creating the strongest Pokémon possible!"
Red didn't even verbally answer, just holding out Abby's Pokéball! The Rocket Grunt tried to fight him but was quickly crushed! Red walked away…
